Recap: Unknown's POV:"Venustus Eligitur Salvatoris you should not have come. I will make certain that you live to regret this until the end of time. I shall break you in every conceivable way possible. You will call me master." I whispered and looked down on her while she cut through my men like a fair mist.
Chapter 22
Bella's POV:
I made my way quickly towards the palace and I was plowing through these men like butter. I made sure to send any and all women towards Autumn and Summer. This is just barbaric. These women will know a better life, even if I have to give my last breath to do so.
"Back wench!" A solder cried as he sent a spear towards me. I easily dodged and revered the course.
"I'm rubber, you're glue," I whispered in amusement and watched him disappear. Just then a man came running out of the palace making me halt. He was obviously not a soldier.
"Miss! Oh miss!" He called out to me.
"Are you talking to me? Seriously? I am demolishing your friends and you want to TALK to me?"
"Well, I have to," he began to wheeze as he finally stood before me.
"Why?" I questioned.
"My master requested it of me."
"Why did he want you to talk to me?"
"Mainly so he could have an advantage."
"What are you talking about? What advantage?"
"This one," a deep voice rumbled in my ear and grabbed my upper arms. I flicked my wrists and had my energy shove the remaining women out of the city and disintegrate the men still remaining, including the distraction, but excluding the man holding me. Then I immediately began feeling the headrush like when Autumn and Summer brought me here. So this 'master' is taking this conversation somewhere private. Good. I closed my eyes and counted to three and now I can see that we are in a lounge of some sort. There are chaise lounges and pillows everywhere.
"Alright, you have your advantage. You were able to bring me here." I spoke up and he chuckled lowly and pushed me away. He walked by a window and I could tell he had just moved this conversation indoors. No big deal.
"Yes, we have much to discuss Venustus Eligitur Salvatoris," he said and reclined on one of the chaises.
"Aw, how sweet. You know my name but I have no clue who you are. Care to enlighten me?"
"Absolutely not. You are a female. As you serve no other purpose than tending to my every need, you can call me master."
"That's a hard pass." I scoffed and moved to the window. "But in the end it doesn't really matter."
"Oh why not?" He asked amused and made a goblet appear and began to drink.
"Because you will not be able to do this any longer. I am sending you straight to Hell, Hades, or whatever eternal holding cell that your dark heart will shackle you to for your misdeeds. Do you have any final words?" At that his amusement disappeared and he stood once again and walked over to where I now stood by the window. I tossed his goblet to the side and the wine went flying. Then he leaned into my ear. His hot breath blowing into my neck was uncomfortable.
"I was going to give you a chance but now I will show you no mercy," he whispered and grabbed my neck and his hands started to glow a deep emerald green. "Submit to me Venustus Eligitur Salvatoris."
"NO!" I rasped out and shoved out of his hold. He shot his energy out and hit my square in the chest. I let out a muffled moan. It is such a dark and menacing energy. It is making me physically ill.
"Submit and kneel," he ordered. I grit my teeth and tighten my resolve. I take a deep breath full of positive energy and exhale the negative energy that he has poured into my body.
"I am the Venustus Eligitur Salvatoris and I submit to no one. I am here to protect the innocents from evil like you. You will never beat me. I will not call you master." I vowed and shot my energy towards him. He met my energy with his own and it began. A battle of literally good and evil. He can not win. Think about the women and all those he has made them kill. Think about his energy. This was not his first take over. Think about your family. Think about Edward. My energy moved towards him steadily as I thought over everything. It was about a foot away from him when he smiled.
"You may send me off. But you are leaving this plane with me VenustusEligiturSalvatoris."
"I don't think so," I said and finally gave one last burst of energy which overtook him and made him disintegrate piece by piece.
"It's not over!" He called.
"Oh it is," I said and turned my back on him and looked out the window.
"Never turn your back on an enemy not yet defeated. This shall be your downfall. Enjoy the poison" I heard the crazed man say. I turn in time to see him send and arrow flying in my direction. It was too late to avoid it. Can it pierce my skin? I backed into the window ledge as the arrow reached me. It sank into my chest, directly below my heart. I gasped and stumbled back. I closed my eyes as the pain began to take over. My head rushing before my body shut down. Oh, Edward.
Autumn's POV:
We had just evacuated the girls out and Summer and I were watching the castle for Bella to come out. Come on.
"Autumn! Look!" Summer said and pointed to the palace window. That was clearly Bella, but something it wrong.
"Let's get closer in case she needs us," I suggested.
"Good call." We moved in towards the palace window. No guards were left alive which made it easy to walk back in.
"Autumn," Summer whispered as we watched Bella stumble out the window. We ran to her side, unable to break her fall.
"Summer, do you see what this is?" I questioned.
"The Arrow of Eternal Damnation," she whispered horrified. This weapon is the only thing able to pierce the skin of ALL beings. It sends their soul straight to Hades himself if the poison reaches their heart before the cure is applied.
"We need to get her back to the mortal plane." I ordered. "But DON"T touch that arrow Summer."
"I won't. I hope we can find the cure in time for her. She saved us all." Summer said sorrowfully.
"I know. She truly is the Venustus Eligitur Salvatoris" I said.
Edward's POV:
I gasped and grabbed my chest. Oh, Edward! Bella's in trouble!
