Recap: Summer's POV: "Place both hands on top of her heart, being careful not to touch the arrow."

Chapter 24: Land of the Redeemed

Bella's POV:

Ugh, after this I swear I am taking a damn vacation. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I took in this purgatory. All color is gone from this plane and the only sound that I could hear were the moans of those around me. The souls here looked to be in agony as they walked around aimlessly. I stood from the ground I was on and took in this world. The sky was pitch black with swirls instead of clouds. The swirls would widen for a fraction of a second as a new soul was dropped unceremoniously to this place. The buildings here held nothing but walls and roof. For what purpose, I don't know. I began walking around and looked at the people. Were they all bad? Good? I don't know. I passed an extremely tall building when the swirl above widened and dropped someone right in front of me.

"That siren did not tell me that I would fall from the sky!" The man in front of me exclaimed as he pinched the bridge of his nose. Then he stood, with his back to me, and brushed non-existent dirt from his attire and ran a hand through what I know is his bronze colored hair. "Now, where would Bella be in this odd plane?"

"Turn around," I told him with a smirk on my face.

"Love!" He shouted and whipped around. He quickly began checking me for injuries.

"Edward, I am fine. We just need to get out of here," I told him and batted his worrisome hands away.

"So, it doesn't hurt? Those two friends you made in Atlantis said the pain would be unbearable," he asked in concern and pointed to my chest.

"Oh," I whispered and looked down at myself. There sat a large black hole where my heart is supposed to be. "I wonder how we fix this mess and get out of here?"

"She told me to make sure that our love holds strong and we stay on the path with the purest motive," Edward told me. "If we fail we will suffer a fate worse than death."

"How dramatic," I said and Edward rolled his eyes at me. "So, I just need to do what I do best." I rolled and shoulders.

"I am here in anyway that you want me love," he said and hugged me to him.

"I know you are and that is why I love you. I trust you completely as you trust me," I told him and planted a quick kiss to his cheek. We will have more time for that once we are gone from this place. "Alright, can you hold my hand that way I don't accidently send you anywhere?" Edward was quick to hook our arms and hold my hand tightly.

"I believe in you my Bella," he kissed my temple.

"I love you Edward," I said then I closed my eyes in concentration. All innocent souls who are trapped here need to be able to move on or reunite with their family if it was before their time. Let them be free. I opened my eyes as a golden light expelled from the dark whole in my chest and washed over the land. It took several souls with it.

"Amazing," Edward whispered from my side. I closed my eyes once more. All tainted souls need to be cleansed and reborn again. I believe that redemption could happen for those trapped here. They have been punished enough. Let them be free. This time when I opened my eyes a red light came from me and took the rest of the land's inhabitants.

"Now are you ready to leave my love?" I asked him.

"Only with you by my side," he said and twisted us, so he was hugging me from behind with his head upon my shoulder. I smiled.

"Hold on tight." I closed my eyes one last time. Let our souls be reunited with the physical plane and our love never die. Let us be free. I opened my eyes and stared at Edward as a bright blue haze overtook us and we were transported back to the shore with our family. The force of the teleportation was so strong it made Edward and I roll several yards across the sand. We shook our heads and laughed. Then we watched in amazement as the arrow pushed its way out of my chest and disintegrated upon touching the ground.

"You did it!" Edward exclaimed and kissed me soundly.

"I couldn't have done it without your love and strength with me. Thank you, Edward, for loving me the way that you do," I confessed and kissed him again. We stopped once we heard our family panicking down the beach.

"Hold on spider monkey," Edward told me as he grabbed me and jumped back to the family. It was there that we were bombarded with questions.
