Chapter 10: A Sensual New Day
Marinate woke up the next day feeling energized and excited to go to school and see Adrien, but she was also a little nervous and embarrassed. She still couldn't believe she modeled with him. And got offered a job! When she arrived at school she opened the door to the classroom nervously bracing herself to see Adrien again. He wasn't there. She was a little disappointed deep down but she knew he would come. After all, she wasn't late today. She sat next to Alya and set down her things. She wanted to tell her everything but was still a little embarrassed. Marrinette avoided eye contact and talking about Adrien, but nonetheless Alya was curious. She peered in front of Marrinette forcing her to make eye contact.
"Soooo, gurllll how did it gooo! You're early! Also you didn't respond to any of my textssss!" Alya was joking and knew she was probably tired but she really wanted to know.
"Ahhhhh, I'm really sorry! So much happened yesterday… I was also kinda nervous to tell you about it, but I really want to." Marinette knew it was probably best to just tell Alya the truth. She knew her best friend would understand.
"Welllll? Spilll!" Alya could barely keep in her curiosity any longer.
Marinate leaned in…
"I saw, um…A- Adri-... Adrie y… He was changing, and I- I- had to give him something, and ahhhhhh! But it was really fun and Adrien is so nice. And I got offered a job!" Marrinette covered her face which was practically on fire.
"Girl I-" Alya was speechless. She was burnt from how hot the tea was "how long wa-" she decided not to continue that sentence. "I mean first of all congrats on the job! Girl that's awesome, and I'm glad it went well, but let's talk about the elephant in the room! How did he react? What did he say?" Marrinette explained everything that happened the previous day.
"So do you think you two have chemistry?" Alya winked.
Marrinette blushed and squanched her cheeks. "Mmmphhhh I don't knowww!"
Just then Adrien burst through the door. He didn't actually burst through it but Marrinette was surprise. Nino was talking to him, but Adrien was distracted. Her heart pounded. He turned to her and smiled.
"Hey Marrinette!" Her expectations were too high. "HEy mRinetTe" that's it!? He sat down in front of them with Nino still talking. Nino paused to wink at Alya and she blushed. Mark slumped down in her seat, Alya reassuringly patted her on the back.
