After I finished speaking, Steve quickly went to inform the others of what I had just revealed to him, which caused them all to run to my room to check where I was.

In the next few weeks, we spent training harder than ever before.

Tony would train and retrieve to go back to his lab, only mentioning that he was working on perfecting a new prototype of his and hoping it would work.

My brother and Nat grew anxious and worried, watching me constantly as if I would disappear into thin air.

As for me, I secretly began to work on my powers with Wanda. We worked surprisingly well together, her twin brother, Pietro helping out every now and then when the occasion arose.

As it goes, a month passed by too quickly, and by the end of it, things began to grow tense between all of us staying at HQ. Tony had insisted that we all stay together and it had begun to show.

My brother and Nat seemed to be the only ones who were comfortable with this arrangement. Keeping their ever-watching eyes on Steve and me.

As time ticked down, Wanda and I worked to put up an impenetrable force field around headquarters. Taking every precaution possible to keep everyone safe. It took the better part of the day but we finally did.

Wanda and I setting up a large force field one around the entire premises, while I placed one around the building itself.

As we stepped back into the large building everyone met us at the door, anxiously awaiting our arrival.

"Did it work?" Clint asked, looking over at Nat, who is bouncing an irritated Charlie in her arms, while she pats his back as he cried.

"Pietro? Go and see," Wanda says, inclining her head to the side as she looked over at me.

We all watched silently as Pietro silently rushed towards the gate, colliding into an invisible wall before bouncing back moments later, landing on the grass. "It works!" He calls back from the grass.

It is just after nightfall that we decided to gather in the dining room, to have dinner together.

Pepper, Nat, and I quietly bring the food in as everyone sits down.

Little Charlie is asleep in his stroller in the next room, as we all sit down and begin to eat.

It feels as if this will be the last night together, and that aspect only seemed to increase the tension in the room, bringing a touch of sadness to me as I stare at those around the table.

Holidays are usually spent with family, and friends, smiling and laughing, but we are here hoping that this won't be our last and that everything will be alright come tomorrow night.

I sit down next to Steve, silently watching everyone before turning to look over at Tony who is smiling at Pepper.

"I think we should say grace before we eat," Pepper says as she clasps Tony's hand, with unshed tears shining in her blue eyes.

"That is a wonderful idea, why don't you do it, Stark?" I say, turning towards him.

He looks over to me, an expressionless face as he stares at me. "Alright." He nods, before we all join hands, and bow our heads. "Alright. Thank you, God, for this feast. Thank You for the hands that have prepared it, for those sitting around the table who are here to share it, and for being able to be here together under this roof, and enjoy these blessings at Your hand. Amen." He said, smiling at me widely.

"Ok, well, let's eat," Clint said looking at Tony before we all began to pile food onto our plates.

"H-Hang on, I— I want to say something first," Steve said as he stood up. Looking over at my brother before he dropped to one knee in front of me.

My hands flew up to my face in surprise, as a small gasp slipped through my lips.

"Steve? What are you— what are you doing?" I asked, shocked as hell.

A smile suddenly appears on my face as I watch him pull out a small velvet box, and hold it on his palm.

He swallows thickly before he looks at me again, "I—I," he stuttered before he cleared his throat, before taking one of my hands into one of his. "I thought I knew what falling in love was long ago, but I was wrong. Ever since I met you, I realized that it was simply infatuation. Words can not explain all that you've taught me since I met you, but I will try. You showed me time and time again that love is selfless, patient, and caring. Being with you is easy, as breathing, and I cannot imagine not seeing you every day. I only hope I can give you as much happiness as you have given me. Will you marry me?" He asked as he opened the little black velvet box, revealing a beautiful princess cut, sapphire surrounded with small gleaming diamonds in a white gold setting.

My jaw dropped as I turned to stare back at him, tears forming in my eyes as I stared down at his gleaming blue eyes. I looked up to meet my brother's gaze to see him smile back in return, before turning back to Steve.

I nodded, feeling a smile pull at my lips as I stared at him speechless. His responding smile made my smile grow wider as he pulled out the ring and slid it onto my left ring finger before standing up.

He pulled me into a tight hug and spun me around before leaning down to peck me on the lips chastely.

"As sweet as that was to see… Can we eat now? I'm starving." Tony says as Pepper smacks him on the arm. "Tony, knock it off. Congratulations, you two!" She says, pushing Tony out of the way before rushing to pull me into a hug.

When she moves back to her place, my brother and Nat are the next ones to pull us into a tight hug. "Congratulations, you two," Nat says before they stepped back.

Steve smiled at them in response before we all moved to sit down, before I moved too far Clint leaned in, "I'm glad you're finally happy, Eyas, but if he ever hurts you or makes you cry again, I'll put an arrow in his ass." He said, causing me to giggle and nod in response before heading to sit down.

"Now that we are all sitting down, let the feast begin," Tony said, patting Steve on the back in a congratulatory sense, before turning to look at us with a nonchalant shrug.

Just like that the tension was gone, for the moment.
