Nothing was heard from then on.
We walked in the direction that Pietro had informed us they were, I could feel the anxiety begin to spike.
The small walk is quiet, except for the crunching of the grass beneath our feet, and our slightly elevated breathing as it wooshed in and out of our lungs.
When we reached the eastern side of Headquarters, suddenly there they suddenly were, standing before us, all with a sneer on their otherwise perfect faces.
"Bella, love?" He said, in the same loving tone he used to use on me just a few years ago.
Hearing it now made my stomach churn and my skin crawl as my head turned so I could look at him. Just as I suspected before, I was still his singer. I knew that he was restraining himself but not by much, the dark eerie glow of red in his irises told me, he had abandoned the diet his sire had made all of the members of the coven uphold, back in their time in Forks.
I looked towards Tony, slowly nodding my head before turning to look back at Edward. "Edward, what are you doing here?" I asked, tensely.
He looked at me, before turning to look at the women who stood next to him. The woman with dark long hair and crimson eyes stepped forward before speaking. "Our Edward, here, has told us many great things about you, we are simply here to collect what has been promised to us." She spoke, as her eyes zeroed in on me.
"What exactly did grandpa, over there, promise you?" Tony asked loudly, inquisitively.
I could feel as my brother tensed beside me along with Steve and Nat.
"She's mine. She is my singer. Therefore, belongs to me. So, Bella, get your ass over here or my friends, here, will kill each and everyone one of your friends, including the ones you have hidden within the basement of that building back there." Edward growled, looking down at my hands menacingly.
"Edwin, is it?" Tony asked, sarcastically, as a snarl erupted from Edward's chest, as he and everyone in their group crouched.
"It's. Edward." He seethed.
"Same difference," Tony replied tauntingly.
"Stop taunting him, Tony," Steve muttered, as Nat held my brother —who was now seething where he stood— back.
"Fine. You guys never let me have any fun." He grumbled. "Listen, grandpa, whatever your name is. Marie isn't an object you can acquire. She is a person. With opinions, decisions, and feelings. So, you're wasting your time here." Tony finally explained, slowly, as if attempting to communicate with a child.
Though in this case, I guess it was more of a wide animal than a human he was attempting to communicate with.
"It doesn't matter. She is mine."
Something made him look more dangerous than before. The glint that appeared made everything in me shoot into alertness.
"No, she isn't." My brother growled at him, unable to hold back anymore.
I slowly raised my hands, as Wanda did. Everyone froze in their spot, except for Wanda, Tony, and I.
"Tony, Now!" I cried.
Without another word, Tony shot off into the sky headed straight in the direction of the hostile visitors.
I threw the small bag at him, watching as he caught it before he proceeded to empty it out over our uninvited guests.
Wanda lowered her hands, as she watched
the effects in quiet satisfaction.
As I felt my strength, my hold on them began to plummet, and their inhuman strength began to push against the hold I held over them. My heart began to race as the moment I hoped to avoid began to come near.
As the last of my strength dwindled, I could hear their ferocious snarls as all chaos began.
But before any of them could take a step the veins on their eerily stunning faces and bodies began to light up like a Christmas tree.
"What— have—you —done—to—me?" Edward rasped, weakly, falling to his knees.
I smiled eerily at him as I felt the last ounce of my strength give way. "You didn't think you would actually be able to survive coming here and threatening everyone that I love do you?" I asked as they all began to cry out in pain.
"What—?" He rasped, as he too lit up.
"This is the end, Edward Cullen. No one can save you. You have done too much damage to those around you, thinking you could do so without consequences. For that, not even hell will is a good enough punishment." I growled, moving my hands and sending a large wave of energy towards them all.
As I did so, a wave of heat suddenly began to move from inside me, and slowly exited my nose before I felt myself being pulled into the darkness.
Stay Tuned. More to come.
