After my deadpanned remark, it seemed everyone in the room snapped out of their shocked state of mind before rushing to crowd around me before each of them took a turn to hug me.

"Can't believe this, you're fresh out of a coma, yet you still manage to sass us." My brother mutters amused.

"Yeah, well, you all looked like you could use a laugh," I mutter, as he squeezes me tightly, causing my nose to squish into his shoulder. I smell him, before pulling away, with a wrinkled nose. "Oof, and a bath too. Jeez, Hawk. when was the last time you showered?" I asked, cupping my nose with my left hand.

"The night before." He says unamused.

"Where's Charlie?" I asked, looking for him within the crowd, noticing that Nat is missing from the room as well.

"He's with Nat…" He murmurs looking away, abashed.

Then I remember the words Granny Helen told me a few moments ago. 'You will always be needed, darling girl. By your nephew, your niece, your brother and Nattie—lovely girl, by the way— and your future husband, Steve.

Did she say, niece? As in—!!!

I screech excitedly, causing everyone to jump in surprise, as I leap onto my brother pulling him into a tight hug before pulling back and smacking his arm, hard. "Why the hell didn't you tell me?!" I asked, attempting to climb off the bed to look for Nat.

"She wasn't sure. She just took a test yesterday." He explained rubbing the sore spot on his upper arm, wincing slightly.

"It's a girl, ya know. Name her Natalia or Ava. I want to name my future daughter after dad, too." I explained ignoring the questioning gazes everyone was giving us.

Clint rolled his eyes, before turning to look at me amused, "What about naming her Ava Marie?" He asked with a smile.

I felt my eyes began to water, as I nodded in response. "That's perfect," I said tearfully, as he pulled me into a hug after I congratulated him.

"Would one of you mind filling the rest of us in on what's going on too? Or should we give you two some privacy?" Tony asked, gesturing towards themselves.

Clint sighed — turning to look at them, slowly— before answering to him. I, however, beat him to it, by screaming out, "Nat is pregnant!!!"

They all looked shocked by my excited exclamation. I waited silently, grinning at their baffled expressions before my words finally sunk in.

A second later, they all exclaimed excitedly before rushing forward to congratulate Clint, while I smiled so wide my face felt as if it would split in half.

Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed to leave the bed or room soon after, thanks to Tony and my brother. They claimed I still needed rest. Even though I had told them I felt alright dozens of times. Tony seemed to think otherwise.

After everyone left the room, Steve sat down in the bed next to me, before taking my hand and giving it a light squeeze, silently asking if I was feeling alright.

I smiled in response, nodding at him before he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. I sighed constantly, leaning my head onto his shoulder.

"What's on your mind, beautiful?" He asked as I weaved my fingers through his.

"I am not sure what comes next," I responded, quietly, sighing again as I closed my eyes.

"Next?" He asked, raising an eyebrow at me as I stare down at my lap, twisting the ring on my ring as I nodded in response.

"What comes after this? Do we move on? Do we get happily ever afters? What happens?" I asked quietly.

He left out a surprised chuckle, before turning towards me. "What comes next fully depends on you, sweetheart. Whether you want to stay here or move on. Be with me or not. It fully depends on you." He says, taking my hand and lifting it up to his lips.

I felt a smile pull at my lips as we stared at each other.

It was at that moment that I finally felt as if all was right.

After the whole confrontation with Vampward and his sadistic cronies, Steve and I had decided to go back to my brother's place with him and his little family, to begin planning our wedding, and to settle a few things that we needed to before finally moving on with our lives.

While the tension that remained between everyone before we fought in Sokovia, a sense of camaraderie formed after those events and the events of two weeks ago.

Everything seemed to be finally falling into place until I found out I was pregnant a few weeks later. Now it seems we all had more than aliens attacking the world to worry about.

Parenthood.
