Hi, so I totally forgot to add this at the start of the last two chapters, but I do not own any Teen Wolf characters.
Chapter 3:
In the morning, Liam could not stop yawning as he walked down the stairs. By the time Liam had woken up, Theo was already gone for a run and came back, and showered. The boys ate in silence, Liam pausing only to explain to his Mom that Theo would be staying with them and the circumstances behind it. Theo tried multiple times to tell Liam's mom that he would be gone soon, but he soon gave up, realizing that it was useless. So Theo drove Liam to school and then insisted that he would try to find a job. However, both boys knew that with Theo's sour reputation with everyone in Beacon Hills, it would be difficult for him to get one.
When school finally ended, Liam hated the fact that he had to go to practice. He worried that he would come home to find Theo gone. When he finally did run through the doors, he found his mother making up the guest room for Theo, and Theo moving his few belongings in drawers and hanging up his clothing. Liam couldn't help the small smile that crept onto his face. All throughout dinner and when he went to sleep, the smile did not dwindle. The only time that it did was when he woke up in the middle of the night to his door squeaking open.
Liam rubbed his eyes, trying to scrub the tired from his eyes. A racing heart rate entered his room but didn't travel farther than the door. When his eyes finally adjusted to the light, he saw a shaking, crying Theo standing in his doorway. When Liam really looked at Theo, he looked like he was barely able to stand up. And then Liam realized that he probably was struggling. Blood was rushing down Theo's torso, his body slashed across with bloody marks, and his fingers covered in blood.
"Liam?" Theo's voice was broken.
Liam shot up from the bed, walking hurriedly to Theo's side. He gently guided him to his bathroom, grabbing a clean shirt on the way. Theo stood in front of the counter, his face filled with terror and exhaustion. Liam helped him was the blood from his hands and clean the deep, but already healing wounds. Liam had to pull Theo's shirt over his head, Theo too numb to do it himself.
"Are you okay?" Liam asked delicately.
"Yeah," Theo said, but they both knew he didn't mean it.
"Seriously though," Liam says.
The boys walked into Liam's room and Theo made to leave when Liam reached out a hand to stop him.
"Are you okay?" Liam asked.
Theo opened his mouth to battle it, but Liam beat him to it.
"Don't lie to me."
And that is when Theo did collapse. He fell to the floor, collapsing once again into sobs.
"I can't do this," he cried out.
"Can't do what?" Liam asked.
"I can't do this. I can't keep living. I just...No one wants me. And the nightmares won't stop."
"I want you. You're different than you were."
Theo doesn't respond to this, he just keeps crying, until Liam pulls him up.
"What are you doing?" Theo asked between sobs.
"Just come here."
Liam, ignoring the odd feeling in his stomach. He pulls Theo into his bed, tucking them both under the covers. He expects Theo to get up and leave or to keep himself as far away from Liam as possible. To his great surprise, Theo snuggled his head into the crook of Liam's neck. Theo inhaled deeply, breathing in Liam's calming scent, telling himself that it was just because of how afraid he was, and not because of anything else.
"I'm so sorry," Theo cried. "I'm so, so sorry."
Liam, gradually getting over his surprise, pulled Theo closer to him, hugging him tightly against his body. He found that once he pulled Theo close, he couldn't let him go, it was impossible. All he wanted to do was make sure that Theo was okay, but he wasn't really sure how to do that, so he just held Theo to himself as closely as he possibly could, letting him cry and breathing in Theo's musky scent.
Liam yawned awake in the morning, curling into the warmth next to him. He felt the warmth cuddle back towards him. His eyes snapped open and he found a Theo, nuzzled with his head in the crook of Liam's neck and his arms and legs entangled with Liam's. Liam tried his best to disentangle himself from the sleeping boy without him waking up. Theo, unfortunately, happened to be a very light sleeper. As Theo's opened his eyes and saw his surroundings, he just nuzzled even closer to Liam. As his lips brushed gently against his neck, Liam shivered slightly. Comfortable in the situation, Liam ignored the warmth in his stomach and snuggled into Theo, falling back to sleep.
Then his mom walked in.
"Liam you're going to be-"
Liam jolted up in bed but was forced back down by Theo's strong arms because he was still lounging on Liam's bed and pulling Liam back towards him. Theo didn't even seem to care that Liam's mom was staring at them in surprise. Liam expected his mom to start spewing something confusing but instead, his mom just gave a knowing smile and left the room with no more than telling him to get dressed to get to school.
