I do not own the Teen Wolf characters.
Hello everyone! I am sad to say that I think this chapter (Chapter 9) will be the last. I am very happy with the progression of this story, however, it was originally only meant to be two or three chapters, which I have already surpassed. Also, I am so sorry for how long it has taken me to do the final update; school has been extremely busy. Thank you so much for the number of reads on this story! I cannot even begin to explain how much it means to me. You are all so amazing! Thank you so much!
Chapter 9:
Nothing could be better than waking up in the arms of the one he loves and who loves him, is all Theo thinks when he wakes in the morning. There isn't the slightest bit of space between Theo and Liam and neither would want it any other way. Cuddling had never been something that Theo did much in his life, in fact, human touch before Liam was a rarity. The feel of Liam's arms wrapped strong and tight around his body, the warmth that it spread through him. Theo could not have asked for anything more wonderful.
Before this, and especially when Theo was trapped in hell with the demon formation of Terra, he couldn't imagine ever feeling like this, with anyone. Not to mention, he was completely convinced that Liam would never figure out that he thought Theo was hot. Theo wasn't being cocky when he knew that Liam found him attractive, he was just being honest. He could smell it all over him, every time that Theo pulled his shirt off to change after gym class or gave Liam a funny small that showed his dimples. But Theo had been trained to not feel, to not let in these emotions. He had been trained that even if he did, they wouldn't be reciprocated.
Even beyond that, the Dread Doctors had frequently referred to him as a failure. While for the majority of his years, the hardened Theo couldn't feel the sting of those words, the new Theo, the one with empathy and feelings, and Liam, felt the sting of the word "failure" in everything that he did. In the way, he had kept his feelings for Liam a secret all this time, the fact of how he kissed him and how everything went downhill from there. Theo to himself was a failure, but then Liam came up and made him see himself for what he was.
Theo Raeken was a success.
He hadn't always been a success, he knew that. He wasn't a success when he went into hell with Terra, he wasn't even a success when he came back out. He wasn't a success until he took away the pain of another human, something that no one had thought him capable of, even himself. More than that, Liam made him a success with everything that he is and everything that he means to Theo.
Beside him, Liam stirs, his hair mused up in unruly spikes and his eyes clouded with sleep. Hardly moving, Theo rolls slightly so he is facing Liam. He smiles up at him in an undoubtedly dopey, lovesick smile, but he doesn't care. Because he loves him. He loves his Little Wolf loves him. The Devil. He leans up at that thought, capturing Liam's soft lips in his.
"What's that for?" Liam asks, breaking away with a laugh.
"I love you," Theo says seriously.
Liam drops the smile and stares intensely at Theo.
"I love you too."
Liam leans down and presses another kiss to Theo's lips before whispering the last word. The word that changes everything.
"Angel."
