TenshiEren14: Lolol, yes...but I won't be covering their relationship to that amount of detail lol. Also isn't it technically Sexto? Pretty sure Kubo got that wrong, as sexta is a female version of sixth, and sexto is male. I mean it's not that serious, but I'm pretty sure Kubo fucked up.
Cockatiel
Ichigo leaned against his bedroom wall nodding at Rukia. "So what you're saying is that Hollows slain by a Shinigami are purified and sent to the Soul Society? Well I guess that makes sense. But doesn't that mean you should be doing this instead of me doing your job for you," Ichigo asked. Rukia shook her head. She had invited herself over the day after the fight with Sora, and Ichigo wasn't against it. He needed information, even he felt she was invading his comfort zone.
"Wrong. You can slay Hollows. Despite the fact you radiate a reiatsu that is like a fusion of a Hollows and a humans you do possess a Zanpakutō. Those two blades you wield are the embodiment of your soul. Like a Shinigami's Zanpakutō they are the embodiment of your power. Because of this it possesses the power to purify Hollows."
Ichigo frowned. "Sounds sketchy." Rukia shrugged. "I thought so too, but it makes sense to me now." Ichigo looked skeptical but nodded. "So how's this gonna work? For some unknown reason you decided to enroll in my school, likely to keep an eye on me," Ichigo stated. Rukia made no movement to deny Ichigo's accusations. "But why?" Ichigo stated. "You could have watched me from anywhere and still done your job. So why are you not doing that?"
Rukia frowned. 'He's not really a threat so hiding my reasons isn't exactly bad. Still I may have to kill him after I get the results from Kisuke. All-in-all as of right now building trust is probably the best way to go. The more trust I build between us the less likely he will think I'm willing to betray him if I must.'
"Because how a person acts around those that they know closely reveals their true nature," Rukia stated. "This would reveal to me whether or not you were someone that needed to be eliminated or not." Ichigo frowned. "It's all business with you I see." Rukia shrugged. "Call it what you will. Now, it'll be time for training in a couple of hours. Are you ready to go to Urahara's?"
"Of course."
Rukia nodded, "Alright then. Any more questions or can I finish my homework?" Ichigo blanched. "You're going to do homework? But you're not staying here for the entire time..."
Rukia shrugged. "I'm diligent." Ichigo rolled his eyes. 'More like workaholic. Whatever.'
(-A Different Side to the Story-)
Ichigo stood before Ururu and Jinta. "So what exactly do you want me to do Rukia?" Rukia and Kisuke stood to the side, watching the trio. "I want you to learn how to use battle tactics. Since Kisuke stated Hollows were more instinctive that will likely be something you'll struggle more with. I figure if you fight you're body will naturally develop this if you're attempting to use your head and your instincts."
Ichigo frowned. 'I don't follow her logic. It doesn't make sense to me at least but whatever. At least I'm getting training.' "Alright let's go," Ichigo called. With that Ururu and Jinta took off, charging him right out the gate. Ichigo barely drew his blades in time, dodging Ururu's kick by a hair's length. He shot backwards, Jinta's kanabō striking the position he was just at.
"You two aren't taking it easy on me are you," Ichigo stated. Jinta smirked. "Yeah that's right? And you can barely even keep up with us!" Ururu gave a meek frown. "Jinta...he did avoid us."
"Shut up Ururu!" Jinta cried. "Do you want a wet willie?" Ururu gave off a squeak, causing Ichigo to blanch. 'Despite their strength they're still just kids after all.' Ichigo then rushed forwards, his larger blade swinging towards Jinta. Jinta smirked, spinning and blocking the blade. However Ichigo was not done. He raised his smaller blade and brought it down, forcing Jinta to back off. Ururu however took advantage of Ichigo focusing solely on one opponent and launched a kick he was incapable of blocking, sending him flying through several rocks.
Ichigo groaned as he stood up, glaring at Ururu. "You have some freakish strength there Ururu," he stated before energy charged in his fist. "Bala!" Jinta appeared in front of Ururu, hitting the ball of energy with his kanabō as if it was some kind of baseball. However, the kanabō broke from the impact, despite the energy being sent flying away. Ichigo smirked, rushing the two and attacking solely with his larger blade in an attempt to use his range as an advantage. However, Ururu raised her hand, catching the blade with her fingertips.
Ichigo was silent. "Oh hell no," he mumbled. Jinta launched a punch, which would have connected had Ichigo not blocked it with the flat of his smaller blade. Jinta smirked. "Ururu's physical strength is much greater than even that of a bodybuilder, you'll have to put more into your swings to make sure she can't stop it!" Jinta then ducked as Ururu's leg came flying up, landing a hit against Ichigo's cheek.
Ichigo was once again sent flying, barely managing to land on his feet. He took a deep breath, ignoring the sweat rolling down his face. 'These two are like a well-oiled machine when they fight together. At my level I can't beat them like this. I have to separate them.'
Ichigo launched another Bala, not surprised when the duo jumped out of the way, however he appeared in front of Ururu bringing his blade down. 'She's the biggest threat right now,' he thought. Ururu frowned, as she was unable to bring her arms up fast enough to block. Ichigo, instead of bifurcating the girl, launched his other hand and backhanded her into the ground. Ichigo landed with a thud, looking at Ururu.
Ichigo barely had time to dodge Jinta's enraged kick. "Don't hit Ururu!" he cried, however Ichigo had no time to prepare, nor did he expect, Ururu to get up and launch a kick. The blow landed against his chest sending him flying high into the air. Ururu jumped, coming towards Ichigo like a rocket.
"You're gonna have to forgive me for this Ururu," Ichigo said, wiping the blood coming from his lip. "Bala!" Ururu was not expecting the attack, and the two fast-moving forces struck each other at high speeds. However, only Ururu fell from the air and landed gruffly on the ground, blood coming from her forehead. Ichigo landed, before he rushed over to Jinta, wishing to finish the fight quickly. He did notice out of the corner of his eye Rukia and Kisuke rushing over to Ururu to check on her though, so he didn't feel so worried. Jinta however was furious launching a flurry of punches at Ichigo that he barely managed to keep ahead of.
'His anger is pushing his reiatsu to new heights. I don't really know if I can keep up this level of fighting. I can't believe I'm saying this because of a kid too.'
Jinta kept up the unending barrage, finally getting lucky and scoring a punch that sent Ichigo flying through several rocks. But Jinta wasn't about to let the hybrid get away, rushing forwards, blowing dust out of his way from sheer speed. Ichigo rolled onto his feet, his blades barely raised in time to stop Jinta's punch. However the pure force behind it sent Ichigo skidding backwards. Ichigo groaned, glancing upwards to see Jinta's leg coming downwards. By this time though Ichigo was getting irritated. He was sick of getting pushed back by a child. He stepped backwards, allowing the leg to descend past him quickly. As the leg hit the ground, causing dust to explode everywhere, Ichigo's arm lashed out, grabbing Ginta by his shirt and throwing him into the air. Ichigo let the black energy gather around his fist before he unleashed it, the energy smashing into Jinta's chest and sending him flying into the ceiling of the basement, cracking it slightly before he fell to the ground.
Jinta groaned as he stood but remained where he was to tired to rush forwards and attack Ichigo. Ichigo meanwhile had his large blade hefted onto his shoulder. "Are you done Jinta?"
Jinta growled but nodded nonetheless. Ichigo nodded and began to walk towards Ururu, noticing how the girl was already back on her feet.
"She's okay," Rukia said, standing as she looked at Ichigo. Ururu already being on her feet only reinforced her point. Ichigo glanced at Kisuke who was nodding. "Alright Ichigo, it's time for you to move ahead with your training." Ichigo frowned. "Wait a second...why are you training me?" Kisuke raised an eyebrow, pretending to be innocent. "Why wouldn't I?"
"You have nothing to gain from this. That goes for you too Rukia. If I turn out to be something you have to destroy why train me. It would only make it more difficult."
Rukia and Kisuke glanced at each other, however Rukia was the one who answered. "Ichigo I'm training you because if you turn out to be something I don't have to kill you could prove a valuable asset to the Soul Society. And I'm also watching your growth. I'm going to make sure that until its confirmed about what exactly you are I will not allow you to progress to a level above me...not that it would really matter considering Kisuke would massacre you anyways but."
Ichigo snorted. "How could Kisuke massacre me? From what I've seen he's a normal human."
Kisuke gave a dark smile that spoke volumes. Ichigo felt a chill creep down his spine and immediately regretted what he had said. "Would a normal human know about the Soul Society, Shinigami, and Hollows?" Ichigo muttered, "Good point," but he still glared at the blonde man. Kisuke nodded to himself before he sat down in front of Ichigo.
"Now to continue on with what I was stating beforehand. I think it's time that you learn Cero." Ichigo tilted his head. "You know I have no idea what that is." Kisuke smirked. "Yes you do. It's ingrained in your DNA. It's natural for you. Think of it as a stronger and slower Bala."
"A stronger and slower Bala?"
Kisuke nodded. "Try forming a Bala, but make it larger than usual and more concentrated with energy." Ichigo frowned but nodded nonetheless, raising his fist at a random area that had no one in that direction. "Open your hand. Just in case." Ichigo did as he was told, making his hand flat. Slowly but surely he let the familiar flow of a Bala fill his body, filling him up with a searing, hot, explosive power that always reminded him of the first time that he had ever done this. Ichigo grasped at the searing power as it tried to break away, trying his damnedest to hold onto it. The black energy around his fist recoiled before it surged in a star pattern, it was barely retrained by Ichigo. Kisuke looked at the teenager warily, noticing how the energy caused lightning to crackle around Ichigo.
'His raw energy alone is creating lightning? I've never heard of anything like this before in my life.'
Suddenly Kisuke's eyes widened as he felt a strange pressure on him. 'No! That's not lightning! That's pure energy! No way!' Kisuke frowned, feeling as though his perception was moving slower, until he saw the volatile orb of energy in Ichigo's hand disperse, the boy panting as he came out of his trance. With that gone time seemed to move back at its regular pace.
"That was good," Kisuke mumbled. "Especially for your first attempt."
'What was that time distortion?'
Ichigo frowned, slightly irritated by his failure but nodded. "Ichigo, come on we have things to do. We're headed to school, and after that we're moving directly onto your next lesson alright?" Rukia called. Ichigo groaned. "Is this what my life will be like now?"
"You have a problem with getting strong enough to protect those that you care about?" Ichigo promptly shut up. Kisuke smirked. "Mah, mah Ichigo. You're way to easy to read."
Ichigo's eye twitched. "I will murder you. Make no mistake, when I get strong enough I shall lay your ass into the ground." Kisuke put up a mock insulted face. "Does that mean that you'll be preparing my funeral too?" Ichigo unleashed his reiatsu in his annoyance, yet its sheer force couldn't make Kisuke so much as flinch. "Ah, Ichigo...you're a little young to be doing that don't you think?"
Ichigo froze at Kisuke's words. He stopped releasing his reiatsu as a cold shiver traveled down his spine. The man terrified him, but he would never let him know that. He didn't know how...but Kisuke Urahara, despite his personality, radiated an aura that would make any sane person wary of him.

Chad looked at the young bird on his shoulder, listening to it intently. "So what you're saying is that some monster attacked you?" The bird nodded, and Chad was sure that it was shaking on the inside. The two continued their conversation until a loud sound exploded into existence. Chad glanced upwards to see a girder plummet towards him, clearly intent on crushing him. The bird rushed off of him, yet Chad simply bent his knees and withstood the blow, letting the girder fall to the ground. He stood up again, the bird landing on his shoulder.
"I'm fine don't worry about it," Chad stated. The bird seemed nervous yet it nodded and continued to speak.
(-A Different Side to the Story-)
Ichigo leaned against the gate at the top of the school building, listening to Keigo and Orihime talk about something. He honestly didn't care, the two of them talked about such strange things he wasn't even concerned about it anymore. Instead he looked at the sky, bored, and rather tired.
"Hey Ichigo are you okay?" Ichigo looked at Tatsuki who was looking at him with a worried expression. "You've been kind of off lately. Are you okay?" Ichigo sighed, nodding. "Yeah I'm fine. Just...a little tired is all." Tatsuki frowned. "I feel like that's not true." Ichigo sighed. Tatsuki rolled her eyes and lightly socked him in his side. "Ichigo...I've known you for how long? You're a childhood friend. You can't hide things from me."
Ichigo rolled his eyes. "I'm just stressed you know." Tatsuki smiled. "Well we both know how to deal with that." Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "Do you want me to state the wrong things with that sentence or are you going to clarify?" Tatsuki blushed and punched him hard. Ichigo groaned, rubbing his shoulder.
'That hurt way less than it used to. It seems even Tatsuki can't really hurt me now.' Tatsuki glared at him. "I meant that we could spar like when we were younger. That always made you relax." Ichigo's eyes widened. "Oh yeah...I completely forgot about that. We haven't sparred in a long time." Tatsuki smirked. "Yup. Still wanna see if I can pin you to the ground?" Ichigo rolled his eyes. "Yeah go ahead and think you can still do that. I'll pin you to the ground and then proceed to-"
"Oh my," Keigo interrupted. "Tatsuki and Ichigo are getting hot and heavy over there aren't they?" The world froze.
Ichigo and Tatsuki raised their fists.
And Keigo's lifespan shrunk three sizes that day.
Mizurio laughed at Keigo's expense, smiling lightly. Ichigo and Tatsuki simply bumped fists before proceeding to glare daggers into Keigo's skull. It was at this moment that Chad decided to arrive. Ichigo looked at his friend, watching curiously as he stumbled awkwardly towards them. "Hey Chad," Ichigo called out, rushing over to his friend as he stumbled again. Yet Chad caught himself before Ichigo had to do anything. "What's wrong Chad?" Chad raised his head slowly before he turned, causing Ichigo's eyes to widen.
"What happened?" Ichigo asked. Chad smiled. "On my way to school three girders fell on my back. I'm just a little tired is all." Ichigo frowned. "Chad that's more than just being tired. What could have caused that?"
Chad's smile disappeared and he glanced behind him. Ichigo looked to see a cockatiel behind the teen. Ichigo looked at Chad strangely. "A cockatiel did this?" Chad shrugged. "My friends said it was cursed. I don't exactly believe them. But if they're right it's because of it...still I'm not mad at it or anything." Ichigo frowned. "You know what...I don't even really wanna know what this is Chad?" Ichigo mumbled, rubbing his forehead. He didn't know why but that cockatiel gave him a very bad feeling.
"Just drop by my dads clinic after school alright?" Chad nodded. Ichigo sighed and sat down, Chad replicating his movements. The cockatiel soon flew over to Chad, landing on his shoulder.
(-A Different Side to the Story-)
Chad stumbled into the Kurosaki Clinic, a small frown on his face. In his personal opinion he thought he was perfectly fine and didn't need to be in the rather depressing area. The coloration was cheery, but being a clinic was a depressing thought no matter how much it attempted to hide the fact. Yuzu looked up from her book before her eyes widened. She rushed over to Chad, calling out her father on her way.
"Chad are you okay?" she asked, worry in her voice. She gently lead him over to a bed where he quickly sat down. Yuzu began to look him over before he waved her off and stood. "I don't know why I came here," Chad said in a deep tone. "I'm fine. I'll be on my way."
Chad began to walk off, yet suddenly he stumbled, but before he could reach the ground Isshin caught him deftly, a light smile on his face. "Chad don't you lie to me," he said comfortingly. He easily brought the muscular teenager back to the bed against his will, something a lean man such as Isshin should not have been capable of doing. "Now let's see what we've got here," Isshin mumbled, looking him over. He frowned as he forced Chad to take off his shirt, eyes widening at the large print on his back. Yuzu's eyes widened in horror.
"Hey dad has Chad...what the hell..."
Ichigo was at a loss for words as he saw his friends injuries, and almost immediately he felt rage surge up within him. He knew that marking. Rukia and he had hunted a Hollow after school...and he remembered that print on a building. 'But why would Chad be attacked by a Hollow? He doesn't really have the reiatsu to be quite noticeable to them...and I don't know any humans that used to have a grudge with him that are now dead.'
Ichigo frowned at the wound, even as his father told Chad to rest and he would go get some painkillers. Ichigo for once agreed with Isshin...that wound had to hurt like a dick. "Chad...what happened," Ichigo called. However instead of Chad answering a cockatiel simply landed on Chad's chest...the same cockateel that Chad had brought with him into the school. Ichigo's eyes glowed with barely restrained power, although he made sure his back was to Yuzu so she couldn't see. Ichigo stretched and walked upstairs.
"Yuzu...tell dad I'm gonna go see if the local pharmacy has anything to help him out." Yuzu nodded, watching as her brother came back downstairs quickly and went outdoors, the swords on his back a vague form to her eyes.
(-A Different Side to the Story-)
Ichigo sat on the roof of his house, looking at Karakura Town. Rukia stood next to him, curious as to what he was doing. "You think the Hollow is the cockatiel?" Ichgio frowned shaking his head. "No...for some reason that cockatiel doesn't give me that impression. Also if it was it likely would have run when it saw me...this thing knows that we're hunting it." Rukia frowned. "So a Hollow is involved with the cockatiel and is coming after Chad?" Ichigo nodded, his eyes glowing with power. "That cockatiel is nothing but trouble...and I swear to Kami when the Hollow comes here I'm gonna kick its ass...and the cockatiels."
Rukia snorted in laughter. She let her vision become blurry, unclear so when the slightest disturbance was made she could zone in on it.
That's when a both of them instantly drew their blades, barely blocking a kick from something that was obviously larger than they were. The Hollow that attacked them was similar to a frog, but it had large bat wings connected to his arms. The Hollow clicked, before it flew off, rallying for another strike. Rukia frowned, her eyes trailing it easily. "Ichigo now!"
"Bala!"
The black energy blast flew towards the Hollow yet it easily maneuvered out of the way before it made a horrible shrieking sound with its tongue. Suddenly explosions rang around Ichigo and Rukia causing them to stumble. The Hollow laughed before it rushed down and struck Rukia, sending her flying off of the building. She ht the ground violently, stunned, but not unconscious. Ichigo gained clarity right before the Hollow attacked him, allowing him to cut off its finger with his smaller blade. The Hollow hollered in pain and quickly retreated back into the air.
"You're pretty intelligent...for a Hollow," Ichigo called out. The Hollow laughed. "Of course I am you fool...I'm nothing like the insignificant twat you are!"
Ichigo snorted at the insult, reiatsu swirling around him. "Let's see my insignificance in action then huh?" Ichigo raised his hand and once again let his reiatsu swirl. The Hollow's eyes widened at the reiatsu. The absurd amount caused it to fire off little creature's at Ichigo that bulged awkwardly. Ichigo ignored them and kept up his technique, not even batting an eyelash as the creatures fired small leeches at him. As the leeches neared the Hollow shrieked again, causing them to explode. The force broke Ichigo's concentration and sent him flying. The Hollow rushed to meet him, and landed a punch that sent him careening into the ground. The Hollow roared in victory, happy about its apparent victory until it hollered in pain. It looked down at its bisected body to see a blade. It turned to see Rukia's cold eyes glaring at it.
"You forgot about me," she whispered, her tone cold. The Hollow shivered, chills sent down its not severed spine before it screeched. Rukia was about to strike again, worried the blow hadn't defeated the Hollow until she saw two massive doors wrench themselves from nothingness. Untold amounts of dark reiatsu clouded the area, instantly removing the breath from Rukia. She heaved and fell as the doors opened and chains shot outwards, binding the Hollow. The chains suddenly shot inwards as the Hollow was dragged inside the doors and the doors slammed shut. Slowl but surely they began to descend back into the void of nothingness, allowing Rukia to breathe once again.
Rukia let out a long sigh, before she gasped, grabbing greedily for air. Ichigo walked up to the Shinigami, helping steady her as she stood slowly. "What was that?" Ichigo asked, confused. Rukia smiled lightly. "When a human has committed great sins when they die or are purified by a Shinigami they are not sent to the Soul Society. They are sent to Hell."
Ichigo's eyes widened. "So I just saw the gates of Hell?" Rukia nodded to him, causing him to pale. "That's...terrifying." Rukia snorted. "Indeed it is. But I believe we have business with that one." Ichigo turned to see the cockatiel, and the spectral visage of a boy behind him.
"Why would you do that!" The boy hollered. Ichigo raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about? That Hollow was trying to hurt my friend because of you." The boy shook his head. "We were playing a game. If I stayed away from him for just one more day he would have revived my mother!" This time Ichigo was surprised. "What are you talking about?"
The boy sighed, before he began to explain himself. "That Hollow, Shrieker, said that if I avoided him for three months he'd revive my dead mother." Rukia frowned at the boy. "Child...what's your name?"
"Yuichi Shibata."
"Well then...Yuichi...I'm afraid that Hollow, Shrieker, lied to you."
"What are you talking about!" Yuichi was clearly indignant.
"Nothing has the capability of being things back from the dead Yuichi. It's simply not a possibility. A Hollow, a Shinigami, nothing has the capability, not even Quincy." The boys eyes widened. "B-but..." Rukia shook her head. "I'm afraid that Hollow lied to you...it used you as a manner of gathering food for itself. It was merely toying with you."
The boys eyes widened, spectral tears gathering in his eyes. "Then how would I ever see my mother again?" Ichigo smiled. "Well if she is dead there is a possibility that you can meet her." The boys eyes suddenly lost their sadness, glowing with a flame that Ichigo would not have expected of a boy that looked no older than seven. He was impressed. The kid was tough.
"If we send you to the Soul Society you can see her again...or at least you have the possibility to. It's called Konso. I can't do it, but the lady next to me can. She can help you see your mom again." The boy turned to Rukia who smiled at him. She nodded to his unspoken question and quickly knelt to him, the hilt of her blade in her hands. She quickly tapped the pommel of the blade against the boys head. The boy smiled gratefully, his form slowly flickering away. "Are you sure I'll be able to see my mother?" Ichigo smiled at the kid, flashing him a thumbs-up despite the awkwardness of the movement. "I'm positive." The boy smiled once more before his form vanished. The cockatiel the boy was housed in suddenly gained clarity before it dropped to the ground, dead. Rukia frowned.
"Well...that's rather sad." Ichigo frowned. "You know...dead cockatiel's are a sign of bad luck you know," Rukia stated. Ichigo snorted. "Yeah whatever. I'm going to bed now." Rukia laughed. "See you tomorrow. And get that Cero completed damn it!"
Hey guys its Kuma Akuma. I apologize for the rather lack-luster chapter but its basically just to show Ichigo developing, and those chapter simply bore me. It's not far enough into the story where I can make training chapters interesting. Luckily I can get more in depth in his powers next chapter as something rather interesting happens. Anyways, I'll see you all later.
