Day: 15
Dear Diary.
Today was quite the busy day for me with lots to think about.
There was a lot of gathering quests that I've done to improve my weapons and armor. First place was an old stomping ground. The Deserted Island. It was like a trip down memory lane. They changed a couple things while I was growing up I guess. Ever since the legendary Hunter took the Elder Dragon of the sea, the Hunter's Guild changed the starting camp to that specific camp. As soon as I headed out the way, I noticed something.. It was a mixed feeling of sadness and relief. You see, back when I was little the gates that separated the village and the deserted island, or Moga woods was a lot smaller. Now it was so big to a point where I couldn't even see the village.. I mean I guess the village is safe and that's all that matters at the end of the day, but not being able to see the Village let alone visit them during a hunt.. It was a little disheartening. The other location was pretty new to me. The Marsh Lands. A very flat place yet still had a lot of places to gather around.
Before I went out on my Hunting quest, I took my time to do a little upgrading on my weapons. And then I went out to take out the Yian Kut-Ku, the Strange Bird. For a monster that silly looking, it was quite the pain in the butt. Constantly running around, spitting fireballs.. The second monster was capturing a Tetsucabra. Bringing the Light bowgun was a pretty good idea, I kept my distance and pelted it away, until it was ready for capture.
Third hunt was taking down two Great Maccao at the same time. It was a piece of cake. Finally I hunted a new monster that I've never heard of. Daimyo Hermitaur. The Shield Crab. To be honest, I thought this was going to be a hard hunt. Boy was I wrong. I took my Gun Lance out and blasted the over-sized crab to high heavens.
Now coming back the Chief of Bherna gave me a new assignment. An Urgent quest actually. It was apparently gathering some Abyssal mushroom. I was a little skeptical on this quest.. And boy was I right. On my way to the Jurassic Frontier, the airship took a miss turn and I was flung into a deep part of the hunting ground. When I came to, I saw a monster that I have never ever seen before.. It had a mean look, and a strange tail. It was shaped like a sword. I tried taking that thing on, but it was on another level. Swinging its tail around, grinding its tail with its mouth and somehow sharpening the blade like tail with fire and fang.. I tried to take the monster on, but a couple hits and I was down for the count. I was hurt and was on my last leg. Then something in my head clicked. I wanted to run.. So I did. I barely got out of the area just to catch my breath and to recover. I was in an area where the mushrooms that I needed thrived. calming myself down, I gathered up as much mushrooms as I needed and well. Completed the quest (even if I didn't really feel like it..) Returning to the village the little clip of that monster crushing me was on repeat. Was I getting too over confident? Did I just encounter a monster that I couldn't defeat? I don't really know.. Returning to the village the Chief was super glad that I was safe. He also apologized about the mishap with the drop point, and he also informed me on the name of the monster. The Glavenus. Cutting Wyvern. After my talk with the chief, I sparked a conversation with the Bherna Gal. Apparently she was a little more worried that I couldn't capture that thing alive to grow the PR for Bherna.. On top of that, the Quest wasn't even an urgent Quest!
That entire event was pretty disheartening.. I went back to my home exhausted. I threw my weapon off and stripped out of my armor.. You know Diary? There's something that I haven't really been keeping up on. My Armor set.. The Bherna set IS helpful and the other sets from the different villages help too... But getting hit by something as strong as Glavenus is more or less inevitable.. I think I need to increase my armor options.. I need to get ready. Something tells me that it won't be the last time I see that monster again..
Thanks for listening as always my dear diary.

Day: 16
Dear Diary.
Today focused mostly on hunting and choosing an armor set that I would eventually work for.
I decieded to go with the Royal Ludroth set, I mean it IS the closest monster that I have to a home town monster, I set out to the Misty peaks to take down the monster. As a child I've always kept an eye on monsters but this was more or less the first time where I was looking at the Royal Ludroth close up. It was sort of cute in a yellow squishy eagle screaming sort of way. Anyway I took a couple down and wasn't enough to make a full set. I was close, but not quite. Afterwards I decided to take a quick break and take down a Yian Kut-Ku in the Verdant Hills as for the request of the Kotoko Village's Chief. Next on the hunting list was the Khezu. Charging Wyvern. Not only was this hunt surprisingly difficult, it was a little.. Icky too.. The shape of the monster, how my Longsword have a hard time cutting through its slimy.. gross hide.. Uhg.. I don't want to think about that any more.. On top of that, the ability to use electrical attacks was new to me and it hurt a lot.. Feeling probably a thousand volt of electricity hitting my skin.. Not a pleasant experience.. I fainted twice in a blink of an eye..
This hunt more or less proved that I needed a stronger armor that protected me, and the Ludroth armor was probably going to do the trick!
This is a little bit of a short entry but I hope it's okay with you Diary.
See you tomorrow.

Day: 17
Dear Diary.
So, I'm guessing you're wondering What I did with the rest of my day eh Diary? Well, since you asked me so nicely I'll tell you~ You see Diary, there are some armor that are regulated to be equipped for either Gunner or Blade Master weapons. However for the majority there are two separate armour class for both Blade Master and Gunner t took me half a day to get my Full Royal Ludroth armour (Even though it looks like a comfy spongy coat if anything.) The Armour was super comfortable and it even had a nifty increase in stamina recovery!
So, I'm guessing you're wondering What I did with the rest of my day eh Diary? Well, since you asked me so nicely I'll tell you~ You see Diary, there are some armour that are regulated to be equipped for either Gunner or Blade Master weapons (Bow, Light and Heavy Bowguns are Gunner weapons and the rest are Blade Master.). However for the majority there are two separate armour class for both Blade Master and Gunner. I've made a Blade Master Armour and had to choose a Gunner Armour as well (Since you know, I also use a light bow gun and a Bow.) In the end I chose to go with the Arzuros Armour. It looks nice and it might come in handy. I spent the rest of the day taking down a couple Arzuros to start in my armour.
And just like that, another day went by. I know it's another short entry huh.. Well tomorrow is another day and I'll get more stuff done too!
Always yours.

Day: 18
Dear Diary.
today was the day of slaying monster of all shapes and sizes. I started the day with hunting a couple Azuros to finish my Gunner set. It was comfy and slightly... Revealing? Oh well.. I checked the catalogue and noticed it had a small attack down and a defense up small. Surprising for a armour that's this revealing. I had some spare parts and ores lying around the box so whipped up a attack decoration. I didn't have enough to increase me attack per-se, but it was enough to negate the negative stats.
A couple of large monster hunts were surprisingly challenging even with my new super cool armour. Large monsters were kicking my butt... Still I finished the quest with minute troubles. Oh... Right.. Names of monsters.. First on the list was the Nibelsnarf. The Latent mouth Wvern. It lives in the Dunes and it loves to eat with its oversized mouth. I brought my Insect Glaive along and took the monster down. Second was the Gypceros. The Strange Poison Bird. My gunlance was more than enough to blow up the flying wyvern to high heavens.
So.. That was about it for today.. Time flies when I'm hunting monsters...
I'll See you tomorrow.

Day: 19
Dear Diary...
Oh boy... I never thought would do so much work...
Before I tell you what I did today, let me tell you something... something.. Great.. Something... super cute.. I saw a Moofah holding the Meowstress by her collar.. She was struggling and that was.. Simply.. Adorable..
Now..
I spent my day completing all the three star quests.. Slay, gather and hunt. There were three other quests that kind of was strange though. I'm pretty familiar with unstable hunting grounds where monsters sort of show up, but this was different. I've never seen these monsters before.
Delivering Wyvern eggs (which are pretty big by the way.) in the Verdant hills I saw a strange and very violent looking flying wyvern sleeping in the den where all the wyvern eggs were.. I had to sneak in around the thing and grab the first egg (I had to deliver two.). The second time around I noticed that the wyvern was around. Now I've seen like one flying wyvern with the ability to manipulate the thunder element.. Well one, the Khezu. But this one was different. The wyvern mostly stayed in the air and when it landed, it was violent. I barely made it out.. I headed back to Kotoko Village and talked to the chief about the little encounter and the chief knew what I saw. The Astalos. The Electric Wyvern. Apparently this wyvern was strong and violent enough to take on the Rathalos, the King of the Sky. Glad that I made it out in one piece..
The second was in the Arctic ridge delivering some Popo tongue (It's not as gross as it sounds. Trust me.) A mountainous roar.. The monster was probably the largest thing I've ever seen.. A massive tusk, and a long.. nose thing.. Is there a word for that? I think its called a trunk.. or something.. I felt a little rushed around the monster, trying to carve out of the Popo. As soon as I finished off carving the last piece I was hit by the monster pretty hard. I fainted and was sent back to the camp, which actually was in my benefit. Sure I loose a third of my reward, but I get to the camp faster right? I headed to the Pokke village and talked to the Chief of the village there and she called the monster that I saw. Gammoth, the Giant Beast. It's apparently pretty solitary but if startled it gets pretty aggressive, and I saw that first hand.
Third monster was in the Misty Peaks. I was sent to take down a Bulldrome, an easy quest until I encountered the monster. I was a lot different from the Gammoth, and the Astalos. The movement and its attacks were very fluid, and it created some sort of foam. I thought I could take the monster down along with the Bulldrome, but boy was I wrong. I guess I'm not nearly skill as I thought I was.. I did take care of the bulldrome and completed the quest though. I traveled to the Yukumo Village and talked to the Chief (A reoccurring theme right? The Chiefs are smart!) She called the Monster a Mizutsune. The Bubble Fox Wyvern. The Chief commended me for surviving against the Leviathan monster Mizutsune.
Going back to the Bherna Village the Chief talked to me regarding an actual Urgent quest (still a little miffed about the whole Glaveus encounter..) This time it was taking down the Malfestio, the Nocturnal Bird in the Jurassic Frontier. I took my trusty Long Sword, and the adept style. The hunt was slightly strange. Unlike other monsters which has elemental prowess like Fire, Water, Thunder or Ice; and sometimes has other debuffing or afflicting abilities like a Gypceros' Poison, this oversized Owl (which was kind of cute) had this strange ability to mess up my perception and motor function.. It was kind of strange.. On top of that it had the a knack of making me fall a sleep with its song. Even if with all its oddball tricks, I took the beast down!
Now... When I got back to town... Things got.. busy... Bherna village had guests from about a week ago. Cheeko sands Chief and Capital C Caravaneer came by to check on my hunting progress and thanking me for finishing up their requests. I also got a message from the other villages too.. I headed over to each town and saw a lot of new and familiar faces. In Kotoko Village I met up with the Argosy Captain. He's a Wyvernian trader that lives in a place called the Wyvernian Hub, but he also visits the Moga village as well! He used to give me treats and gifts when I was little. In Pokke Village, I met I met the armory granny who traveled all the way from Jumbo Village to look for other smithing techniques. Trenya also came by to visit Pokke village and to see me for another request.
Now. Yukumo village. I know this is sort of a tourist spot, but this was almost ridiculous.. the Fishmongress, Aisha or Moga Sweetheart, Head Farmer, Wyvernian Artisan, Junior.. I mean the Chief's son, and the Chief himself. Even the Instructor from Tanzia port came to visit. He gave me one zenny.. The Loc Lac Guide, Head whiskeress came to visit and request. I also met the Yukumo Manager who runs the Hot springs. There were even visitors from the far away town of Cathar. A little girl who came to relax on the foot spring. I even met the Chief of the Jumbo Village. At the end of the day, I got back to Bherna (Oh and I forgot to mention that I'm sort of used to the whole airship travelling now.).. I'm exhausted.. But today was well worth it!
Thanks for listening to me always Diary.
Forever yours.
-Sese.
Dear Diary Nya~
Meowster requested that I take a little meowcation but Nya couldn't take it any longer! I asked the Meowster to get back on the field to do quests and she said yes! Nya have to say, it feels good to be back gathering and hunting beside my Palico companion. Nya also mewticed that both Manl and Pann honed even meowre skills than meow now! Now nya'm even meowre mewtivated to catch up to those two and my meowster!
Expect to see meowre of me~

Day: 20
Dear Diary.
I had a very strange dream last night.
I saw the Moga Woods. And I saw.. Hunters hunting monsters.. Normally that won't sound very strange right? I mean I'm more or less a hunter, and I hunt monsters.. But this was different. The way the Hunters hunted looked.. different.. I don't know how to explain it..
Anyway, after what happened yesterday, I decided to take today relatively light. I spent the first two third of the day reading up on the monster profiles and reports from the Wycademy. I also cleaned out the dust, gunk, icky monster parts from all my weapons, armors and cleaned them up. It was a lot of work.. and was sort of gross. My palicos helped me out as well, it was very nice of them.
Now regarding hunts. I had enough time to hunt a couple gendromes and for the first time, Rathian. The Queen of the earth. I decided to use the Gunlance and Arial style. Bringing death from above was super satisfying!
I'd like to share more with you but this is pretty much all I've done today.
I'm sorry Diary...

Day: 21
Dear Diary.
It flows like the river. It cuts like the razor's edge. The Long Sword. This is the weapon that the Legendary Hunter used to take on many quests and save Moga Village from the Elder dragon of the sea. I started my journey with my own long sword as well. It's been three weeks since I started my career as a hunter and to be honest, I feel like my progress is slowly slowing down.. I don't know... Maybe I need to find the drive that started this career.
I spent my day cleaning up my armours, and well.. Nothing much.. Well I did a bit of reflecting. I talked to the Meowstress about the different Felynes that join her cause, and other small talk. I spent the other half of the day in the training arena practicing my long sword.
It might be pretty slow these coming days..
