Day: 50
Dear Diary.
I'm going to keep this one sort of short.
I've spent my entire day hunting Rathaloses and Uraggans to near extinction for my weapons..
Erm.. That's about it?
I guess I'll see you tomorrow Diary.

Day: 51
Dear Diary.
I had another strange dream last night... There was a hunter.. A male hunter.. He had a bow. It looked like he finished a hunt, and he walked towards me and asked something... I can't remember what he asked but at the same time, his fragmented words that I remember lingers in my head.
Waking up to something like that, I had a thought.. It's been like what, Fifty one days since I've become a hunter and I've been hunting by myself.. I visited the Hunter's Hub next to Bherna when it was more or less empty to talk to the people that ran the place, and you know what, I thought it was about time that I met other hunters. After a hearty breakfast I decided to gear up and head to the Hunter's Hub. There I met two hunters that decided to take me in. Michi a Hunter Rank Two, and Joxephus. Michi was a Female hunter with a dark yet fair skin .. And.. Sort of cute.. and Joxephus... I didn't see much. The guy was covered head to toe in armor. We conversed about hunting life and what not and eventually I asked what they were doing. Turns out that Joxephus was helping Michi get some materials for armor. I decided to help the two out. We spent the entire day taking down a couple Royal Ludroths.
Hunting in a group was surprisingly difficult. Not only did I have to take care of myself, I also had to look after where my hunting mates were. There were a couple times when I was smacked flying by Joxephus's Hunting Horn, or flinching from Michi's Light Bow Gun bullets.. I mean I wasn't completely innocent either, there were times when I wasn't paying attention to my long sword swings.. and I accidentally hit Joxephus.. All in all the hunts weren't too bad. At the end of the day, we traded our guild cards and went our separate ways. I get the feeling that I would see them again.

Day: 52
Dear Diary.
I've gotten a lot of miscellaneous hunts in today..
Velocidrome, Gypcerose, Rathian, BullDrome, Lagombi, and Blangonga. I've even did some minor gathering quests in the Hunters hubs.
And that's really about it..
Another busy day but not much to say about them...

Day: 53
Dear Diary.
Another day, another slow hunts...
this time I hunted even less monsters..
Just two Iodromes and a Najarala..
What's happening to me...

Day: 54
Dear Diary..
Things are at an all time slow..
Another single quest. Two Volvidons and an Uragaan.
It was pretty close though.. I only had two minutes left before I failed the quest.
I used up all my ammo and was using my weak level one rounds..
All in all it was another slow day...

Day: 55
Dear Diary..
I've re-read what I've written on the past few days..
I've gotten a little stagnant huh.. I wish you would have told me..
Well today is more or less the same, at the same time I have have a lot more to write about.
Today I started on a quest, and I failed that quest.
I was to take down an elusive elder dragon called the Kirin, the Phantom Beast. This monster looked nothing like an elder dragon, but the hunter's guild and the elder dragon watch typed the monster as such because it was so hard to find. I however, was lucky enough to take one on, on the arctic ridge. I decided to take the bow to keep my distance and for the most part, I think it was a good idea that I did.. This quadrupedal monster was quick on its feet, and was surrounded by an aura of white lightning. This lightning was nothing like the ones that Zinogres and Lagiacrus emitted. It felt different.. There was an odd air about it. Maybe its because it was from an elder dragon.
In the end, I failed the quest. I threw everything at the monster and all I managed to do was break its horn. I should have quit when I had the chance, but I didn't.. Maybe it was because of all the completed quest that I had under my belt and I got over confident.
Failing the quest didn't discourage me. I WAS hunting an elder dragon after all, but boy was it an eye opener. It showed that I still had much to learn, and I was nowhere near the top of the hunting food chain. There was something else as well. My weapons and armor. I noticed that it was that time again where I should really focus on upgrading my armors and weapons. The hunt last night should have been a red flag too. barely finishing a quest is something to think about.
I think I'm going to take a step back and take it slow. See what I can make, see what I can improve. When I'm ready, I'll take the monster on again.
Until then.

Day: 56
Dear Diary.
I've gotten back to hunting with a purpose again!
Back then I was just mindlessly completing the request of the people. Sure I was helping them out, and I was improving as a Hunter, but my skills alone could only help me so far. I needed new materials for my weapons. So I took my time taking on the Zinogre and the Gammoths today.
The Hunts went alright. The Zinogre gave me a run for my zenny though.. When it was uncharged it was alright, but as soon as it gathered enough fulgur bugs, it went wild! In the end, I brought the death from above with my Aerial Long Sword.
The Gammoth Hunt was on the easy side too. I managed to capture the monster, but in the end I didn't get the materials that I needed.
I'll have to try again tomorrow.
I'm going to start again slow.
