Day: 92
Dear Diary.
So I've taken a day break and today I've done what I can to prep to face the Fated Four. I've done some research thanks to the Wycademy archives and my personal experience hunting these monsters. And decided to make proper adjustments and preparations to face them and face them soon. First and only problem was my weapons. Choosing and upgrading them appropriately was going to be my major work. I decided to take the Hammer to the Hunt against the Fated Four and use the Astalos Hammer at that. All monsters seemed to share some sort of weakness against the Thunder element. Now I know what you're thinking. What about Astalos itself? Well to my experience, Astalos is probably the most fragile of the four and the raw power would be enough to take it down.
I've woke up early to talk to the smith in the village. He said that the next materials that I needed for the Astalos Hammer was the Gore Magala Feelers. This is probably the hardest thing to get too, next to the tail.. You see, the Gore Magala is actually blind because of the shell that more or less covers the head and for it to see, it scatters its scales around to feel things around it. The scales also doubles as a fog of frenzy that can affect my body either positively or negatively. When the Gore Magala takes enough hits, it enters the Frenzy state where the skies darken and the feeler on its head stands up. That's the only opportunity when I can get the feelers. When it retracts down I can't get the feelers.. On top of that, when it takes too much hits, I can literally knock the frenzy off the monster, retracting it's feelers.. I've experienced that first hand. I knew what I was up against and tried to focus my attempts at making the Gore Magala into a frenzied state and do everything I can to hit the head.. but when I did, I only knocked the monster out of the frenzy state.. And it was all down hill from there... The monster was too weakened by my attacks and was slain in no time..
I need to find a better way to get the carves I need... Time to get back to the books..

Day: 93
Dear Diary.
How long have I been out? Tuna and the other palicos says that I was in a coma for five days. They said that I would flail out in pain some days. Everything hurts. My body, my head.. Everything... I asked the Palicos what happened and they were surprised that I didn't remember. They told me that I failed the quest. They said that I was acting pretty strange during the hunt.. I was getting hit intentionally.. What?
So I failed the quest to take down the Gore Magala. I was sent back to town but things were slightly different. According to Tuna I was just writhing in the Frenzy Wyvern Virus.. Then I remembered something. I did read up on one theory. The book was still on the table too.. It was said the Gore Magala sees by spreading the scales around which has the virus, when monsters and hunters alike get the virus in them we either over come the virus, strengthening us, or it infects us, weakening us. The book also had a theory that the monster itself enters the frenzy state when it "Sees" its prey infected. All for the Gore Magala Feelers... That was a stupid thing to do.. Tuna said that the Doctor from Bherna Village had to contact the physician from the legendary Dundorma City to get me cured.. Which got me thinking if I was worth that much time and effort.. I mean sure I completed hunts and made lives of other villagers easier... but is it rational to go that far to save me?
Just a couple hours ago the Bherna Doctor visited me and was glad that I was awake.. Sort of.. I wasn't moving much due to the pain but my eyes were open and what not.. He was glad that I was more or less alive. He also told me that it took him and the physician three days to cleanse me of all the virus.. The other two days were just me recovering and my Palicos keeping me alive.. The Doctor also informed me that it would take me a couple days to get my body completely recovered..
Hey, Diary... Do you think I'm the only one that would do something like this?
-Sese.
Day: 94
Dear Diary.
For the past couple days I've been trying to get some exercise to get my strength back.
And so far, not much progress.. On top of me not moving for five days and the whole Virus cleansing left my body with like little to no stamina.. I barely managed to walk out the door before the Palicos picked me up and tossed me back to bed... I'm going to try again tomorrow.. I don't want something like this to stop me.. I know that other hunters have gone through worse and came out on top!

Day: 95
Dear Diary.
For the past days I've been eating and working out and getting my body back in shape. I've been making quite the strides if I do say so myself. I've even gotten the clearance from the chief researcher to head back to the Jurassic frontier I've taken the day to gather and slay small monsters.
I feel like I can take on a larger monster pretty soon. As soon as tomorrow. I'm considering on hunting a Great Maccao tomorrow. What do you think Diary?

Day: 96
Dear Diary.
It's been six days since my last entry, and I've been keeping myself super busy. With managing the Palicos, and going on hunts of increasing difficulty. From small monsters, all the way up to the Rathalos.
I've been gradually getting my strength back with each hunt. I actually feel like I can take on the Gore Magala once again to get the feeler that I need to upgrade my weapon to take on the Fated Four. With my Strength pretty much returned and I'm feeling confident I think I will take the monster on once again. And from now on, I think I can go on hunts and you know, write them down like I used to do.
I'll show you what I can do my dear diary.
-Sese.
Day: 97
Dear Diary.
Well, here I am. More alive that before.
I've hunted a gore magala and finally managed to break the feelers. I've noticed that the Magala entered its frenzied state the first time around when I was whacking it with my hammer. When I broke the monster out of that state I knew I had to get myself infected with the virus. So I did. I also knew that I had to be patient and dance around it until it sense my infected body and enter the frenzied state again. That was very difficult. Everything in my body hurt...
As soon as the monster entered its state I downed like three null berries. On top of the taste and the virus hurting my body, It wasn't the best feeling, but when it cured the virus I was on the attack! One good spinning meteor to the face and BOOM! the Feeler was broken and I took the knocked the Frenzied state out of the monster once again. The Magala went to sleep and I was ready to finish it off with a large barrel bomb to the face and it was more than enough to take the monster out!
With that I went back to town and upgraded my hammer. I'll take tomorrow off and go on some gathering quests to ready myself against the Fated Four as they have returned to the Forlorn Arena.
It's good to be back.

Day: 98
Dear Diary.
Gathering in the Moga woods was quite the treat. Sill sad to see the massive wall that separates the woods and the village... but you know what, as much as I took this time to relax, I did work hard to gather herbs and mushrooms for potions, mine ores for future upgrades and catch bugs for also upgrades and traps. I've actually gotten back home early to rest up. And looking back I've come a long way. From a green horn hunter I've hunted numerous monsters, traveled to distant lands met people of old and new. I've failed in quests and succeeded in quests. And It's been quite the trip so far. But I'm not done yet. Far from. There's so much to see, so much to do.
Tomorrow I take on the fated four in the Forlorn Arena, and I know that you'll be there with me my Dear Diary!
