I Spy

Chapter 1

AN : I have prepared what I am going to write for each chapter so hopefully it will all make sense. I would appreciate your feedback since this is my first fan fiction. This story is set at the end of book 5 (Out of sight, out of time). It starts on the last day of school. I hope you enjoy it. (The book is in Camerons point of view). Disclaimer, All the characters belong to Ally Carter. Strip truth or dare and pranks in later chapters!

It's the last day of school as I walk down to the Grand hall for our final meal before we leave for the Christmas holidays. You could say this semester has been quite eventful. In October I was picked up from a monastery in the alps with amnesia, I have held hands with a very cute spy boy, I found out my dad is actually dead and got tortured in the same place as I did, almost jumped off the top of Gallagher academy and remembered the list with the names of all the leaders of the Circle of Cavan. So yes, my semester has been eventful.

I sit at the dining table, along with some of the girls I trust most ( And a boy that I don't know if I should trust). Bex and Liz sit opposite me whilst Macey and Zach sit either side of me. Bex is nibbling a bread roll, not seeming to notice that the teachers weren't here and if Madame Dabney caught her eating she would get an extremely disappointed look from her. Liz is stuck in a book explaining how to crack codes in latin. Macey is picking at her nail extensions and Zach is staring into space. I am doing what I do best, Observing and going unnoticed.

Well, I thought I was going unnoticed, until Tina tried to start a conversation with me.
"So Cammie, I hear you're going on a very important mission this holiday to capture an ex Prime Minister." I thought about the list of seven names that I always had in my pocket. I am pretty sure that one of them is an ex Prime Minister of England but I couldn't say that. Also I WASN'T going to go capture an ex Prime Minister because according to my mom, "Thats for the professionals to do". So that's why I replied "No" to Tina's question.

Later on, in our room, we were all packing and getting ready to go. I was meant to be going off to stay with Grandma and Grandpa Morgan in Nebraska and Bex, Liz and Macey were going home to see their parents. Well thats what I thought before my mom called me into her office.

"Hey Sweetie, thanks for coming." I wondered why on earth she called me right while I was packing. "I'm sorry Cam but I have to break some news to you." Unfortunately, being a spy and all, I new what was coming. I noticed the way my mom sat on her chair and how her face looked apologetic.
"You are going to have to stay here over Christmas, Grandma and Grandpa's house isn't safe and we don't want to put them at risk" Look, I completely understood her reasoning, and yes, Gallagher Academy is one of the coolest buildings in the world, but when entertainment is limited and you end up having to help Mr Mosckowitz with experiments that almost always risk you losing your sight for at least a day, Gallagher is slightly less appealing.

"No" I say, as if I have a chance of persuading one of the best spies in the world out of something. I didn't want to have to spend Christmas alone. Plus, Grandma Morgan made the BEST Christmas dinner. "I refuse to spend my entire Christmas holiday alone, I am going to Nebraska." My mom didn't budge. "You are staying here," my moms voice was stern as she said this, and I know the only way was to compromise. "I am only staying here if my friends stay too," knowing that my friends would much prefer to spend their holidays elsewhere.

"Thats a great idea," Bex's voice cuts across the room (my best friend is a great spy, I didn't even notice her come in!), "I would be happy to stay here over Christmas." I give her the Morgan glare as Macey and Liz enter my moms office and agree with Bex, that it would be fun to stay at Gallagher over the holidays. "Thats a great idea, I will contact your parents to tell them that you are staying here"

"We are now back in our room. I'm unpacking because apparently, I'm not going anywhere. "Seriously Cam, are you really still grumpy about staying here? I don't think it'll be all that bad" Macey's voice interrupts my thoughts. I argue back, "What are we going to do all holiday! Tina can't organise any movie marathons because she is going to Dubai with her parents, and there won't be any interesting Cove-ops assignments because no one is here to be taught, IT'S THE HOLIDAYS" When I look over at Bex, she has the mischievous look on her face which I have come to love and fear at the same time. "We aren't exactly the only ones that are going to be here" she says with a smirk on her face.

I find myself stomping down to Zach's room and knocking grumpily at his door. He opens it and I notice the the wardrobe door open. All of his clothes are in there. I realise Bex was telling the truth. "I am staying here over the holidays," Zach says as I push past him and sit on his bed, "Come in then, don't wait for me to ask," He grumbles. "Why are you here?" I ask. He smirks as he says "I thought it would be nice to—" I cut him off and ask him again, knowing he was lying, "Gallagher Girl—" he protests. "Tell me why you are here!" I demand, getting impatient. "Your mom says that the circle are searching for people who have ever been inside the circle, and because of my mom…" I didn't need him to carry on. His mother was a well known circle member so people probably thought he was going to carry on from Catherine.

I stand up. "I'll see you around I guess?" I ask, as if we didn't have a whole mansion to ourselves (pretty much). Zach smirked. "I'm sure I will". I used to find Zach's smirk really annoying, but it doesn't bother me as much anymore. I walk out of the room and go back to my friends are waiting for me. They are just staring at me. So I clap my hands together and say, "What are we going to do then?"

AN: Thank you for reading the first chapter of my story. I hope you enjoyed it. I will be updating regularly. It does get better I promise!
