"Did you pack up your action-figures?"
"Yes."
"Underwears?"
"...Yes"
"Notebooks?"
"Ahuh!"
"What about the posters and the whole All Might memorabilia!?"
"Yes mom, calm down, I have packed everything I'll need… Now, the truck is here and I gotta leave."
It was finally the moving day for the two teens, their middle school had ended a month ago and high school will begin in a week. This was time for their heart-wrenching departure from their respective homes, Katsuki had already moved an hour ago and was setting the place up for Izuku. However his going away was more comic than emotional to say the least.
Some hours earlier in Bakugo household
"WHERE IS MY ALL MIGHT BLANKET, YOU OLD HAG!?"
"IT'S IN THE CUPBOARD YOU BLIND BRAT!"
"IT'S NOT HEREEEE!"
"THEN I DON'T CAREEEE!"
The continuous bickering was happening for two hours now, the plan was to move Katsuki first and set the place up a bit, then Izuku would follow as they knew Inko would need some time for his departure. The Bakugo couple had already planned out the week to keep Inko sane enough to accept Izuku's absence also for the motion that was put forward for her to recontinue her law practice.
Masarau was trying his best to keep the two exploding blondes in check, at least enough so they won't burn the house down, he was about to ask Mitsuki to check in with Katsuki when the said boy came downstairs with a bunch of bags and an abnormal expression on his face, he had a hint of tears in his eyes, so the older couple without uttering a word just moved closer and gave him a big hug.
"If you guys didn't visit Izuku regularly I'll personally annihilate both of you!"
"We will Katsuki, every weekend!" Masarau chuckled as he ruffled Katsuki's spiky hair.
"Okay that was it, now get your asses moving and help me get my stuff in the truck!"
"Behave yourself you brat!" Mistsuki shouted as she cocked a punch in Katsuki's face.
"DON'T HIT ME OLD HAG!" he roared while popping small explosions from his palms.
Mitsuki just bitch-slapped his big head in return "DON'T YOU DARE USE YOUR QUIRK KATSUKI!"
Masarau just sighed, promptly picked up the bags and started loading, he knew this was just how the two function. If he was being honest this was actually the two of them holding back… he shed a couple of faint tears and called the land-lady to inform her that the boys will be there in a couple of hours.
With some more beating from Mitsuki and some shouting from her son, Katsuki was off to his and Izuku's apartment, he was travelling by the truck so the Bakugo couple wouldn't have to drop him off.
As soon as he was off Mitsuki broke down crying in her husband's shoulders.
"He's gone… I miss him already."
The latter tried his best to hold back his own waterworks and consoled his wife.
"Me too Mitsuki, me too..."
So, Izuku was standing outside his home in front of the truck facing his mother, the two of them hugged and practically flooded the streets with their tears.
"I-I'll miss you Izuku..."
Holding her hand and bowing down slightly Izuku tried his best not to fumble "I-I'll miss you too M-Mom, I-I'll visit on holidays a-and Auntie Michhan said you'll visit on weekends..."
"Yes we will, now enough tears we wouldn't want either of us to faint from dehydration, now would we?" with that, she gave him one final hug. "Let's get you moving Katsuki must be waiting there..."
Izuku sniffled and reciprocated the hug "I love you Mom."
"I love you too my baby Izuku."
Izuku placed one final bag and boarded the truck, he waved to his mother until she was out of sight…
Izuku knew this would be the hardest step, but it was a sacrifice he'd have to make to fulfill his dreams.
Inko wiped her tears, she noticed a comforting hand on her shoulders which belonged to an equally emotional Mitsuki who was standing behind her with a slightly sniffling Masarau.
'Be safe Izuku, my baby boy'
The apartment both teens were sharing was a decent one, it had a spacious living room, a kitchen with all facilities included, one bathroom for public use and two attached in each of their rooms for personal, both of their rooms were quite spacious too, since the parents had to pay little to no money for the tuition, they had rented them of what could easily be called a premium place to live. Though Katsuki's room was a little bigger than Izuku's to which he rationalized as 'first come, first served'.
Izuku had decorated his room quite similar to his old one but with less All Might merchandise, there were a couple of reasons for him to do so, the most viable one being that he didn't want to disrupt his old room and keep it as it was. So now Izuku was done with his room and was sitting with Katsuki in the main hall while watching some live hero news.
"Hey Deku, it's still a few days until school starts. You wanna visit the Might Tower!?"
"Yeah sure, but around this time the place would be flooded with reporters, ever since that last villain he defeated the media is all over him..."
"I guess."
"How about next Saturday after school, our parents will be visiting on Sunday so it would be great, plus the media tension will be less in the afternoon."
Katsuki burped as he finished his soda "Yeah, sure."
"So you wanna have dinner? Mom kinda packed some Katsudon for me and an extra spicy Udon for you!"
Katsuki eyes shot wide "Couldn't you have told me before you shitty nerd! I wouldn't have ordered pizza!"
"So, we'll have them tomorrow, it won't be healthy but Mom's food might not survive the night…"
"Yeah and there's no way I am having those when Auntie-Inko's food is available" as if on cue the doorbell rang. "You heat up the dishes while I pay up the guy, you're buying ice-cream by the way!"
Izuku sighed "Yeah, sure Kacchan."
Later Izuku and Katsuki had dinner while watching some hero movies, there was one by a hero named 'Captain Celebrity', both of the teens didn't like him much but there was action not to mention his quirk really fascinated Izuku so they sat through it. Another perk of living away was that they could eat while watching TV!
They talked about quirks, social media, their new school and what they expected from it and after a peaceful ice-cream mixed with a hero-bash gaming session they went to sleep at not the acceptable hours…
The week passed like a flash, both teens had settled in perfectly and were ready to start with high school, they also had several studying sessions so they were ahead of what will be taught for a month or so.
As it turns out Katsuki was surprisingly excellent at cooking so most of the meals were prepared by him and some cooking-classes for Izuku which mainly involved several colourful words and unending shouting… but they always ended the same way, with Katsuki banishing Izuku from the kitchen and himself preparing the meals as Izuku's cooking was 'not upto his standards'.
With their time alone Katsuki proved even more as to how much of an older-brother material he truly was…
Three days after they both moved in
Izuku and Katsuki had their dinner and were off to their separate rooms for the night, the latter noticed that the former's mood was off. So when he heard some muffling cries through his wall he walked across the corridor and entered Izuku's room to find him sitting crouched on the bed and sobbing violently.
Katsuki didn't trust his mouth at the moment so he quietly moved towards him and put a comforting hand on his shoulder.
"K-K-Kacchan, I-I am m-missing my m-mom…"
Katsuki knew no words could fulfill the hole in Izuku's heart at the moment, then he realized something that Auntie-Inko used to do that always calmed down the resident greenette.
He slowly got Izuku laid down on his pillow and softly patted his head repeatedly while humming up a tone which he was trying to remember to the best of his abilities. Surprisingly Izuku stopped crying and was asleep in an instant.
'I miss them too Izuku' a thought crossed his mind as he laid his hand on the uni-horned teen's forehead and slept while sitting on Izuku's bedside.
Izuku hugged the life out of Katsuki and thanked him when he woke up the next day and found him still sitting beside him and snoring softly, while Katsuki tried his best to not show his vulnerable side by stating, "You tell this to anyone, and I'll kill you" and promptly left the room.
Finally it was their first day of high school, both the teens were standing outside the massive gates of Isamu highschool, they knew it being an elite institution the humongous architecture was a given, but they didn't take into account that it might be this intimidating…
'Well, practice for UA, I guess' both of them mused and headed towards their designated classroom.
They reached their destination and their homeroom teacher asked them to introduce themselves.
"Hey guys, I am Izuku Midoriya, my quirk is called 'Rewind', we are from Aldera middle school I hope we'll all get together nicely!"
The students were quite pleased to hear from such a humble soul, but the vibes they were receiving from the other weren't quite pleasing to say the least.
Izuku had requested Kacchan at the very least to not curse on their first day, so he'll try his best.
"Listen up you dirtbags! The name is Katsuki Bakugo, my quirk is 'Explosion'! If you elite fuu...-dges want to go home in one piece DO NOT MESS WITH EITHER OF US!"
Izuku sighed, he knew that censorship must have taken a lot out of him, while the students and teacher were too shaken up, normally the said teacher wouldn't have tolerated such fouled mouth young man but with the prospect of two or more UA students from her class greatly affected her judgment.
The rest of the day passed uneventfully with some lectures and scolding from teachers to Bakugo telling him to sit properly and Izuku wishing they'd go through the day without being called in by principal.
During lunch-time they were satisfied to see that the cafeteria had both of their favourite meals in abundance. Izuku was indifferent to see that the rest of the class had avoided them throughout their time as in his previous school the situation was similar… this was just something that he'd made peace with after living with Katsuki.
Surprisingly a couple of young ladies approached the two, with the first one being a young woman with straight, fawn-colored hair that reached just below her shoulders and large, dark brown eyes. She had noticeably full, plump, and glossy lips as well as a quite curvaceous figure and another one with an athletic build with muscular arms and legs. She had tanned skin, red eyes which were tilted slightly inwards, long eyelashes, and straight white hair reaching down past her waist. On her head, she had a pair of long white rabbit ears pointing upwards with a slight crook. Along with these, she also had a round fluffy white tail, which gave her the overall design of a definite resemblance to an albino rabbit.
The former one perked up and gathered the two teens' attention from their meals "Heya boys, I'm Camie Utsushimi and she is Rumi Usagiyama, you two are like totes cute! Let us join you!?"
The other mentioned girl just waved at the mention of her name and her eyes focused on the greenette which was getting a little unnerving…
"Y-Yeah, sure" Izuku accepted their proposal while Katsuki just 'Tched'.
It was a four seater table and the two teens were sitting infront of each other so the 'illusion' girl took her seat beside the ash-blonde while the Rabbit girl beside the uni-hornette
"So, how come you two dimwits ended up here!?" Rumi asked as she took a massive bite of her carrot…
"What the fu-!"
"Kacchan no!" Izuku stopped the explosive blonde and turned toward the Rabbit girl beside him. "Uhh, we graduated middle school and this place offered us a scholarship so we jumped in!"
Both of the girls' eyes widened when the fawnette exclaimed "So you guys are the other two!?"
"What do you mean the other two! WE ARE THE TWO!
Rumi's exasperated burp silenced the table, "She meant that the school actually passed 4 scholarships this year, and we were the first two and you guys thereby being the other two."
"YOU WANNA GOO BUGS BUNNY!?"
"I am always down for a challenge, pomeranian-boy!"
"Enough Kacchan/Rums."
The two teens just grumbled after being called out by their best-friends.
"So you two are aiming for UA too?" Izuku asked as he finished his Katsudon and drank a glass of water.
"Hell yeah! Camie here was going for Shiketsu but now we're both set for U.A." Rumi chimed in as the mentioned girl nodded her head vigorously at the statement.
To Izuku's surprise Kacchan contributed to the conversation...calmly. "Why Shiketsu? I mean it's better than most hero schools but they don't hold a candle to UA."
"Ahh, it was closer to home so yeah! But now that I am here, might as well shoot for the stars!"
Everyone at the table hummed and they fell into their usual chatter soon enough, though Izuku noticed when they were telling stories of their middle school, Usagiyama flinched a couple of times, he made a mental note to enquire about it in near-future.
At the very least after this day they finally had friends other than the two of them, and one thing was certain…
They were gonna like it there.
Opposite part of Japan in a mildly lit room
A mist man was standing beside a man sitting in a chair, the said man was hooked to several medical appliances and the beeping was echoing throughout the room. The mysterious man was utterly focused on the screen before him.
The purple fogged butler's deep voice rang throughout the room "Master, are we still on for next saturday!?"
The potato-head chuckled darkly "Of course Kurogiri, that big oaf wouldn't know what hit him…"
