Chapter Text

All Might, the number one hero's smile adored the walls of a certain greenette, each draped with the colours of his costume, red with blue stripes and golden streaks to complete the composition. Rumi had known that Izuku idolized the pro and wanted to be like him, but this seemed borderline obsession. She could already feel herself grow a bit uncomfortable as the sensation of being watched by blue-eyes of justice lingered in the air. After the uni-hornette and his mother passed out, the ash blonde woman had asked her to speak in private, leaving the other conscious teens all by themselves.

The Rabbit-girl hadn't seen the younger Midoriya's bedroom yet and she wasn't planning to do it this way. She sat cross-legged on his bed, which also had the sheets of All Might. Infront of her was the woman who had made herself comfortable on the sole chair in the room.

She noticed Rumi's reaction to Izuku's room and started off with a joke. "Trust me, this is him toning it down." Or perhaps a truth

Eliciting a chuckle from her, the older lady continued. "Are you alright?" The woman's words were calm and measured, she was looking straight through her eyes.

"Yes, much better." She replied, while she knew this was bound to happen sometime, she wasn't ready to talk about her past just yet.

Mitsuki seemed to have noticed the stiffness in Rumi's posture as she decided to lighten the mood a bit. "Sooo, not even in a hero-school and you're already fighting alongside the symbol of peace?"

A burst of confidence and a smirk made their way to the rabbit-girl's face. "Yeah."

"Look, before his mother wakes up and levels this building, you mind telling me what exactly happened?

"Uhh…" She deliberated for a bit, relenting she decided to come clean. "We were going to Might Tower as a weeked picnic when-"

She took her time and carefully explained the incident in great detail, she knew if this was any other woman Rumi would have omitted several details or just outright spat in her face but Mitsuki meant a lot to her, just like Izuku, and she was grateful that she remembered her.

After the explanation both ladies sat quietly, none uttering a word. 'Of Course she'd be mad at me, I put her nephew in danger and now she's mad at me, why do I have to be so self-destructively impulsive!' Rumi kept her knuckles close to her knees and thought as she glanced at the plain expression of Mitsuki.

Another minute passed in silence when the latter shot off from her position and hugged Rumi, she didn't fight it and melted in her touch, it was still familiar…

"You did great out there! Never let anyone tell you otherwise!" She paused and separated, sitting back in her chair. "And thanks for looking out for little Izu."

"Wait, you're not mad at me!? I am the one who dragged him in danger in the first place." She knew that the boy had relieved her of those worries but she wasn't past them, not completely.

Mitsuki chuckled. "Oh, that's the job of Inko. Besides I know you can't make Izuku do anything, if he went then he wanted to. Plus, it's not like anything can happen to him, his quirk is like a cursed-blessing for us, we know he'd always be alright, but that also means we wouldn't know what transpired in the first place."

The older Bakugo saw the pained expression loosen but not fade away entirely. "You care about him don't you?"

A faint blush dusted across her cheeks and she immediately admitted. "Yes, b-but…"

Mitsuki saw her hesitation and knew she was trying her best to open up, she put her left arm on her shoulder and comforted her to continue.

"B-But, he doesn't remember me…"

"He doesn't?" The blonde's eyes widened in disbelief.

"N-No, I found out today. I feel so silly, from his point of view I am just a clingy girl who met him a week ago and is now endangering his life and career."

Before she could go on Mitsuki again pulled her into her embrace. "I am sure Izuku doesn't feel that way. A lot has happened in all these years and he must've pushed the memory back in his mind." When she pulled back she knew that nothing she could say at the moment could calm the rabbit-girl's worries so she decided to change the topic. "However, do tell me how did this happen? I never thought we'd meet you again after you vanished."

Rumi didn't want to go into her adoption story, so she just presented a compressed version of her history. "I was adopted by Camie's parents, then both of us were homeschooled after a similar incident, but then we received the scholarship for Isamu and we jumped ship. Though I am not so keen about the latter anymore. I am sure the school saw the news and we should be getting our expelling letters soon enough."

The whitette expected Katsuki's mother to grow worried or mad but instead she crackled. "That's quite alright, I am sure two talented Utsushimi heirs, a gifted healer and a combat proficient hothead will not find any trouble with their highschool education. Besides from what I could gather from your explanation, you saved NIGHTEYE, the only man to be the side-kick of All Might! You got nothing to worry about, turn that frown upside down!"

(ED-kun: ASDF fans where are you?!)

Rumi noticed the calming effect her words had on her and she couldn't help but notice the similarities between the aunt-nephew duo and with that she was again experiencing the night 8 years ago. In a moment of vulnerability, she shot off from the bed and gave the ash-blonde a deep hug, this was their third hug and it felt as calming as the first one.

"Let's go see if the Midoriyas are ready to join the waking world." Mitsuki snickered while reciprocating the bear-hug.

Around the same time at Might Tower

" Hello Principal Nedzu, we just reached the Bakugo residence, heading in now." The voice of the R-rated heroine made its way to Nedzu's phone.

The rat grinned, he was grateful to have such competent teachers by his side. "That's great Kayama, keep me on the line while you approach the couple."

There was some rustling from the other side which gave the idea that Midnight might have put away the device in her belt, though he could still slightly hear them.

Nedzu looked up from his position and saw an exhausted Toshinori sitting with his head in his hands and Chiyo calmly staring at the ground, patiently waiting for any update.

Five minutes later Midnight spoke again. "Uhh, Nedzu-san…"

Taking the hint he replied acknowledging that he was still there. "Yes"

"We knocked and rang the bell for a while, but no one answered. Their neighbour, an old lady came out and informed us that they weren't home. She informed us to look for Midoriya house as the two families hung out often."

"That's even better Midnight, I believe the Midoriya household is just a few metres away?"

"Yes, both houses are on opposite sides of a huge park."

"I CAN SEE IT FROM HERE!" A loud background noise made its way to the Rat.

"Do you want to stay on the line or should we call you once we reach there?" Nemuri finished.

"It's fine, and yes call me once you're there. Bye for now." He instructed and hung up.

Eraserhead and Nighteye were travelling in the latter's car, it seemed the ex-sidekick had great taste. Through the streets and during their journey Shouta thanked his stars that he didn't live in this city.

'It's too lively for my taste, Why is everyone going somewhere!? AND WHAT IS WITH THE GIANT SCREENS, WE GET IT YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SELL, BIG WHOOF!'

Of course, his existence made it impossible to show his visible exaggeration.

After a couple of minutes and Mirai's clever maneuvering, Aizawa noted that they were now in the 'posh' part of town, only the famous and royals lived here. He was sure he recognized a couple of retired top heroes, politicians, and movie stars on the way.

'Well thanks to the car, at least we aren't looking out of place.'

Thinking it would still be a few minutes to reach, he decided to break the silence. "Are you okay?" He spoke flatly eyeing the hero driving the vehicle beside him.

Nighteye adjusted his glasses with one hand while the other held the wheel. "What do you mean?"

"It's simple, a person is expected to be in distress if they just got out of the brink of death."

The lean man stayed silent, so Shouta continued. "I know you're not the warmest person and frankly I don't care, but what's up between you and Yagi? I know you guys had a falling out but I was included in these shenanigans a year after."

He pursed his lips and sighed, "We wanted different things."

"You sound like a divorced couple." Aizawa deadpanned.

To his surprise the man beside him burst into internal laughter and the side of his lips perked up. "I never thought you were one with the jokes."

"I wasn't joking." The 'Erasure' hero caught his drift and got the idea that Nighteye isn't in the mood to talk about the subject, so he dropped it for the time being and stayed quiet for the rest of the ride.

"We're here." Mirai muttered and stopped the vehicle in front of what could only be described as a mansion.

"No wonder the brats are like this, rich kids and their sense of rebellion." Shouta spoke his thoughts out aloud while exiting the car and saw the ex-sidekick giving his keys to the valet.

They walked through the massive steel grey gates of the building and came across the reception. A girl in her 20's with blue glasses and black hair stood smiling before them.

"Good morning, I am Satsuki, how can I assist you gentlemen?" She addressed them cheerly.

Aizawa knew he should let his comrade handle this, so he stayed behind him, vigilant of his surroundings.

"Greetings, I am Pro hero: Sir Nighteye." He introduced himself while sliding his licence on the counter for her to confirm, after receiving a subtle nod the pro noticed the girl's demeanor grew serious from her bubbly self, he coughed in his hand to get Eraserhead's attention back to them and began. "We are looking for Utsushimi and Usagiyama."

The ravenette noticed the receptionist's eyes widened at the mention of those names. "A-Are they in trouble? Wait, lemme call their parents real quick, I am sure there would be a reasonable explanation for whatever they did."

Stopping the panic from spreading inside the girl, Mirai stepped forward and continued. "No, they have nothing to worry about. I will not stop you from calling their parents as I believe they must've asked you to look out for them?" Getting another nod from the girl he sighed. "By all means do that, but we're on the clock at the moment and we've already talked to them about it, I want to speak to the ladies at the latest."

"I-I am s-sorry sir, I c-can't tell you, please let me call them f-first."

Nighteye was growing frustrated but the rational part of his mind told him that the girl was just looking out for the girls and her job. She obviously can't give out their whereabouts to a hero unless he has police authority with them. So he waited and watched as Satsuki made her calls and got the green light from their parents.

"I-I am so sorry I had to make you both wait."

Mirai brushed it off, content that they would finally be on their way soon. "It's fine, so which way is their apartment"

The colour again flushed out of the already pale girl. "Uhh, sir, they aren't home, C-Camie always informs me where they're going and they left today in a hurry. She said they were going to their friend's house to discuss some pressing matters and might not return until sundown."

"Do you know where?" Aizawa questioned, he knew there was a decent chance that they went to the boy's apartment but asking won't hurt.

"N-No sir, I am really sorry. They were in quite a rush, I know Usagiyama looked like she just woke up. I wished I could've helped you more."

"It's fine. Thank you for your assistance." Sir responded coldly and stormed out of the mansion.

"I am sure he means well, you're just doing your job so don't sweat it." Aizawa reassured, keeping his ever-so-plain expression, he didn't know why but he was always calmer towards children, especially the ones in any kind of distress.

"S-Sir!" The girl ran from her position holding a piece of paper towards the ravenette, she caught up with him at the door and could glance at the ex-sidekick already in the car waiting for him.

"H-Here are the phone numbers of both of them, this might help you track them down."

Aizawa took it and neatly folded it into his pocket. "Thank you for your help."

Around the same time, Musutafu

Hizashi and Nemuri were walking through a massive park towards their assigned destination, during their journey they amused themselves with conversations of their favorite soap opera, 'hero-biz' as Mic liked to call it and some opinions regarding the new batch. But now the loud hero couldn't take it anymore and asked away.

"What does Principal even want with these highschoolers? They aren't even seniors if he's scoping out talents."

Midnight who was walking alongside the blonde replied as she kept her gaze on two five year olds playing catch with presumably their father.

"I dunno, besides it isn't like it's the first time Nedzu-san has asked us to do something totally out of context. But now that I think about it, isn't Midoriya the boy who was offered sponsorship from the central hospital?"

"I guess, I did see a poster of him on the walls of their branch. But still…" He noticed the knowing look in Nemuri's eyes and continued. "Wait.. you mean he wants to come to UA as a healer!? I don't think a child should be given that much of a responsibility."

The R-rated hero hummed. "True, but if you think about it, he might have a powerful quirk and maybe he wants Midoriya to learn from Recovery Girl and I don't think in all my years of teaching, I have ever seen a healer student around here, hell no one was there even when we used to study remember!"

"Yeah, it would be fun to have another hero-healer, people would be all over him! And you do have a point, Recovery Girl really needs someone to delegate her stuff to. I know her quirk doesn't have any toll on her, but I don't think it can heal any wounds without intensive care or procedure."

"I know, just yesterday a kid broke his leg and she had to first align the bone through surgery THEN use her quirk to heal. She told me it can be pretty dangerous if she did that otherwise"

"We are glad to have her though, Recovery Girl ROCKS!"

Mic's loud cheer got the attention of several by-standers, they were not in their hero-costumes but his loud voice was a dead giveaway of their identities.

"NOTHING GOIN ON HERE FOLKS, JUST TWO HEROES ENJOYING THEIR DAY OFF IN A PARK! HEYY ICE CREAM! COME ON WE HAVE TOOO!"

Nemuri facepalmed and ran after Mic who was already onto the stall and collected their icy treats.

10 minutes later

"We are on the clock Hizashi, we have to go."

"Oh, don't be a party-pooper, besides you took 8 minutes to decide on an ice-cream, so you can't blame me for the delay."

Midnight, took a big bite of her chocolate sundae and moaned with delight. "Yeah whatever, I can see the house from here, now you call Nedzu."

The Mic hero took out his phone and dialed the number, he had already finished his popsicle while he waited for his comrade to finish so he wasn't as reluctant. Though he wished his R-rated senpai would stop moaning for an ice-cream in public!

" Hello Mic, what took so long?"

The said pro coughed loudly which broke Nemuri from her stupor and both of them stepped through the main gates of the house.

"Ahh, nothing sir, just some kids identified us in the park. We're here and I am gonna put you on speaker."

They moved ahead and knocked on the brown front door that read 'Midoriya's', the house's architecture was pretty identical to the one they visited first. After a while of waiting and knocking they didn't got an answer from the other side

"Hmm, maybe they aren't here too?" Nemuri concluded.

" That's unfortunate, still I am grateful to both of you. The time is almost up, so it would be wise if you both took the rest of the day to yourselves. See you two back at UA."

Mic dropped the call and looked at his comrade. "You wanna hit the bar?"

"Now we're talking!"

Izuku felt his consciousness creeping in, he uncomfortably peeked through his eyelids and found himself laid down on the couch and he could hear faint voices of the other occupants, whoever those were.

'Wait, why does it sound like AuntiMichhan… WAIT!' A minor internal panic set in as the memories of early couple of hours resurfaced.

"Glad to have you back with us again" A very familiar voice of the elder Bakugo came from his left and he instantly sat straight.

He took in his surroundings and found Mitsuki sitting on a chair beside him, Katsuki and Camie still in the kitchen, both in aprons? 'Wait, that green one is mine.' He glanced a little further and found his mom still faint on a chair near the entrance.

A mischievous chuckle crept through his ears and a chill ran down his spine when he realised who it belonged to and where it came from, he twisted while sitting and paled when found the rabbit-girl dressed in his clothes, sitting right where his head was…

The realisation hit him like a truck-

His pillow-

Wasn't a pillow-

"..." The greenette froze, his mind checked out from reality and he sat straight unfocused eyes staring into nothingness.

"Izuku?" Rumi asked with concern as she waved a hand in front of his eyes.

"Told you he'll shut down!" Mitsuki was laughing like a madwoman and it was such a high-pitch that even Katsuki was worried at this point.

"He's like totes cute, he usually talks to all the girls in school with ease! I never pegged him to be this shocked with a little intimacy." Camie's words got the attention of the rabbit-girl who frowned a bit but kept her composure.

"Yeah, well THE FOOD IS READY AND TWO PEOPLE ARE NONFUNCTIONAL! WHAT THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW!"

"It's fine Bakubae, we'll just try to wake Mrs. Midoriya while you set the table!"

"Bakubae~? If I'd known sending you two kids away would accomplish this much, I'd have kicked you out years ago!" Mitsuki teased and again burst into laughter.

"I-It's NOTHING!"

"Yeah, sure."

Katsuki grumbled and started gathering plates and bowls.
