Gourmet Central Station was bustling as Toriko and Kimiko walked through it.
"Is it really okay to send Terry home alone" Kimiko asked
"Don't worry, Terry's a big girl" Toriko said, "she'll be fine"
"If you say so" Kimiko said
"So, this is seriously your first time here" Toriko asked
"Yes" she nodded, "I decided I wouldn't come here until I was fully qualified"
"Fully qualified?" Toriko asked, "Aren't you the head chef of a 5-star restaurant?"
"But this town has the Gourmet towers which contain the highest, 10-star restaurants" Kimiko said while struggling to walk through the crowd, "I'm only half-fledged compared to that"
"Still, I'll bet you're glad you came, right?" Toriko said
"Yeah, you went through the trouble of coming to my restaurant and inviting me" Kimiko said
"Well yeah, you're my friend" Toriko said, "it's no trouble at all"
"Thank you Toriko-san" she said making him blush
"Whatever" he said trying to change the subject "this place have multiples places to eat, not only the towers"
"Oh yeah" Kimiko said, "You never told me, but what's your reason for coming to Gourmet Town?"
"Oh that's" Toriko then paused his walking as he looked back at Kimiko who had stopped at the entrance of the Gourmet Town, "Kimiko?"
"So this is the Full Stomach Capital, Gourmet Town" Kimiko exclaimed in joy as she looked at the numerous buildings, "and over there's the Gourmet Tower"
"Yeah. You can taste all the world's food there. The top floors are mostly made up of 10-star restaurants that turn down unfamiliar customers" Toriko explained, "I'll introduce you to some of them"
That was when they heard a loud laugh near them, Kimiko turned her head to see Zonge and his two subordinates.
"It's been awhile since I've been to a city" he said
"Yes, it's been quite a long time" the bald subordinate said
"Uh, this is our first time coming to a city" the other subordinate said
"I've gone to plenty in RPG's" he said
"Those are video games" The subordinate sighed
"Oh, Tongu-san" Kimiko said
"It's not Tongu, it's Zonge!" he yelled, "Ah it's you!" he pointed at Kimiko
"Me?" she pointed at herself
"You were the one on the Gourmet Train getting the Puffer Whales!" he said
"Yes" she said
"Did you even get any Puffer Whales" he asked
"Yes, but then we ate it" she answered
"We?" he said
"Me, Coco-san and Toriko-san. Right Toriko-san" she looked back at Toriko who was looking somewhere else, "Toriko-san?"
"Is nothing, dont worry Kimi" he said and then ruffled her hair
"Uhh?" -kimiko said confused but let it go- "sure Toriko-san!"
"Come on let's go into town" Toriko said and then led them towards the entrance.
"We will now check your Gourmet ID" the clerk said, Toriko entered his ID card through the slot with Kimiko following after him
"So you even need identification to enter the town?" she commented as she entered the town, "Do you want anything to drink? I'll pay for it"
"Are you sure? That's a 3-star vending machine" Toriko said causing Kimiko to look at the prices
"100,000?!" she exclaimed, "So expensive!"
"The more stars there are, the more valuable the drinks it sells are." Toriko explained
"Is it really okay for them to just leave high-class drinks and ingredients on the street like this?" she asked
"That's why they have a strict security system set up" Toriko said
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT! What the hell's a Gourmet ID?" Kimiko and Toriko looked back to see that Zonge was being restrained by security, "Stop jabbering about stuff I don't understand!"
"If you don't have a card, please pay the admission fee" the security guard said
"Admission fee?! Who do you think I am!" the man yelled
I pity the security guards, Kimiko thought as she watched them have to deal with the bearded man
"Hey Kimi, over here" Toriko said making her walk over to him, "The vending machine with no stars on them are cheap"
"10 yen! So cheap!" she exclaimed as she looked at the gigantic drinks
Kimiko gasped as she looked at the people enjoying the rides and food in the town
"This place is amazing" she said while holding a gigantic drink that she had bought.
"Speaking of which" she looked at the drink she was holding, "I'm already full from drinking this"
"Then give me it" -Toriko said lifting her drink- "i dont want to waste a drink like this" -drinking it in one go and blushing afterwards- 'an indirect kiss!'
"Thanks Toriko-san" she said
"No problem" he said while blushing
"Step on up! Try a Mystery Bird Gerold Kebab" a stand owner said
"Ooh, looks tasty!" Toriko said as he looked at the gigantic piece of grilling meat
"Oh Toriko, would you like a plate" the stand owner said
"What? A plate?" Toriko exclaimed.
Before Kimiko could blink, Toriko was holding the gigantic piece of Gerold meat that was grilling.
"Idtadakimasu" he said as he bite into the meat, "Yum!"
"That's an interesting way of eating" Kimiko said while looking at Toriko eating she was then struck with an idea, "Oh I know" she then took out her Gourmet Spicer and some ingredients ,"Let me try it with some Wulstar Sauce Fruit" she put the seasoning with the meat, "Delicious!"
"Gimme some, too!" Toriko said
"Okay" she said and then started to spread the seasoning on the gigantic piece of meat Toriko was eating
"Delicious! The taste got richer" he said and then ate the kebab in one go
"That was fast" she exclaimed
"Want some ramen next?" Toriko asked
"I'd love some" she said

Kimiko gasped as she saw Toriko eat and spend millions of yen on all of the food he ate.
"That was good, wasn't it Kimi" he said
"Yeah, it was delicious" she said
"By the way, Toriko, are you going to tell me why we're at Gourmet Town?"
"It's to meet a certain person" he said
"A certain person" she said
"Oh yeah, Kimiko before we meet them can you change into something more formal" toriko asked
"Formal" Kimiko said
I guess that explains why Toriko-san is wearing a suit, she thought. She then looked at her casual clothes which consisted of pants and a button up shirt
"I guess I'll have to go rent a dress or something like that" she said as she looked at her casual clothing
"I wonder if I can get anything on such short notice" she said
"I'm sure you'll look great" Toriko said
"I'm not so sure about that, but I'll go get a dress" she said and then left
She doesn't have hat much confidence in herself, Toriko thought

Toriko was sitting by a fountain while eating gigantic plate of takoyaki.
"Toriko-san" Toriko then looked over to where he heard the voice
"Toriko-san" Kimiko said as she walked up to him in a dress.
"K-Kimi" Toriko said as he looked at her
"Do I look bad?" she asked as she looked at her outfit, which consisted of a white dress that ended right below her knees with an intricate blue design that started at her shoulder and ended at her waist
"You look great" Toriko said
"Thank you Toriko-san" she said smiling brightly to him, that make a blush spread across Toriko's cheeks
"It's nothing"he said looking at side in embarrassment
"Anyway, we still have some time left" he said as he looked at his watch.
"Really" Kimiko said, "In that case, there's somewhere I'd like to go"
"A Gourmet Department Store" Toriko said as they were walking into the building, "I don't really care about a place where there's nothing to eat"
"Wow!" Kimiko exclaimed, "It's a Kuribou Pot!" Kimiko smiled as she looked at the numerous kitchen supplies that were on display, "You can boil things at thousands of degrees inside these pots and they won't melt!" she then looked at another display, "Look it's the Gourmet Spicer!"
She then skipped over to another display case," Melk Kitchen Knives! Original knives done by Sharpener Melk!"
"You're acting like a kid in a candy store" Toriko said, "Can't you just buy one?"
"I can't. Even the cheap ones are 1 million. For someone like me thats way too expensive" the display case containing the Melk Kitchen knives was then opened
"I think I'll take all of those" a man said
"Understood sir" the employees said and then took out all of the knives
What? Kimiko thought
"And could you get the shelf of Kuribou Pots, too?" the old man that was wearing a purple robe with expensive rings on his fingers said, "And that and this. This is too much of a pain just get all of it"
"Wow, he's a big shopper" Kimiko said as she looked at all of the stuff the man was buying
"That's not just buying a lot, it's buying a fortune," Toriko said, "Okay, wanna get going?"
"There's still one thing I want to see" Kimiko said
"Okay, just hurry up" Toriko said as Kimiko left
That was when he heard a scream and looked over to see a bunch of people dressed as ninjas carrying bags of merchandise on their back.
"Stop!" the security guards said
"A gang of gourmet robbers?" Toriko said
"STOP!" the guards yelled again as the thieves continued running.
Kimiko looked up from her shopping to see the thieves run right into her and took her.
"Come any closer and this lady gets it!" the robber said with a meat cleaver pointed at Kimiko's head
Kimiko whimpered as she was being held hostage.
"Kimiko!" Toriko yelled
"T-Toriko-san!" -she said frightened-
Toriko then started to walk up to the thieves
"Stand back! Don't you care what happens to this lady?!" the thief said
"Let her go" Toriko said
"Toriko-san!" -she smile faintly feeling a little more calmed at his words, only to drop it at his next words and the reaction that his name caused in the robbers
"Toriko? You mean that Bishokuya Toriko guy!" the thief that was holding her said, "Th-this ain't good, man! Let's beat it!" the thieves then headed for the escalators.
"Hey wait!" Toriko yelled and chased after them, "Hold up!"
"We've got a principal about never giving things back once we've taken them!" the leader of the thieves said. That was when Toriko then landed on the other two thieves knocking them out.
The leader that was still holding onto Kimiko then jumped onto the elevator
"Wait up dammit!" Toriko said
"It's Toriko" the people in the crowd said as Toriko tried to follow the thief
"Dang, lost him" Toriko said
"I know this place inside-out" the thief laughed
"Let me go!" Kimiko said while struggling
"Shut up!" the thief said and then started to run
"Outta my way!" the thief said as an elderly woman stood in his path, that was when she took her cane and then smacked the thief unconscious causing a loud thud to be heard
"Geez, how unruly" the woman took out a hankerchief to clean her cane,"Are you all right?" she looked over at Kimiko who was rubbing her head in pain
"Yes, thank you very much" she said
"Kimiko!" Toriko said as he ran over to her
"Toriko-san!" Kimiko yelled as she ran towards Toriko and hugged him, "I was so scared!"
"My, my" the old woman walked up to them
"G-Granny Setsu" Toriko said
"You're late Toriko" the old woman with pink hair that was styled similar to an afro said, "I already finished all my preparations"
"Granny Setsu" Kimiko said
"sorry, as you can see, we got wrapped up in a little mishap" Toriko said
"Toriko-san, who is this person?" Kimiko asked
"Yeah, you're a chef too, so I'm sure you've heard of her" Toriko said
Kimiko's eyes widened in realization.
"Yep, one of the Gourmet Human National Treasures" Toriko said
"No way," Kimiko said, "The legendary chef, Setsuno-sama"
"Hey now" Setsuno said, "There's no need to attach 'sama' Call me 'Setsunon'"
"She has a strong friendly affinity" Kimiko said and then shook her head, "No, I can't talk like I'm classmates with a Human National Treasure"
"Who're classmates?! Don't act so familiar!" Setsuno yelled
"That's the bad part?" Kimiko said
"It's okay, Kimiko, just call her 'Granny Setsu'" Toriko said
"Toriko, you're really not proper" Setsuno said
"But I'm dressed up in a suit and everything" Toriko said as he straightened his tie, and the next thing he knew his hair was styled into a pompadour
"There we go" Setsuno said
"What the hell's this?!" Toriko exclaimed
"A proper appearance starts from the feet up." Setsuno said
"But this is my head!" Toriko pointed out
"and what's with this hairstyle" he said as he started to fix his hair
"I really like it, I feel like I'm falling in love" Setsuno said in a nostalgic way
"Cut that out" as he put his hair back to normal
"I have no intention of making food for people who don't know their manners. Today's reservation is canceled" Setsuno said and turned the other way
"My apologies" Toriko then appeared in front of Setsuno with his hair styled in the pompadour fashion, "Is this satisfactory?"
Kimiko giggled as she looked at Toriko's hair, "it's funny to see you in that hairstyle!"
"Don't say such embarrassing things" he said while blushing
"You wait there, while I go purchase some things" Setsuno said and then started to wait in line for the register
"Kimi!" -Toriko scolded with a bright blush at a giggling Kimiko- "stop that! It'snot funny!"
"Okay" she said as she started to stop herself from giggling
"Anyway, how long did you have to wait for a reservation at Setsuno-san" Kimiko asked
"I had to wait 4 years" he said
"Four years" Kimiko exclaimed
"Yeah, cause she only opens her shop once a month" he said
"It's not once a month. It all depends on the mood!" Setsuno said
"The mood!" Kimiko exclaimed
After Setsuno was finished with her shopping the three then hopped onto a train to get them to her restaurant
"I see, so you're a chef" Setsuno said
"Yes, I work as the head chef at Hotel Gourmet" she said
"An IGO hotel, eh?" she said
"Is Ichi-chan doing well?" Setsuno asked
"I-Ichi-chan?" Kimiko said
"The IGO's president" Toriko said
"P-President!" Kimiko exclaimed
"Granny Setsu and that old man go back a long ways" Toriko said
"We worked together when we were young" Setsuno said
"I heard that Bishokuya and chefs formed combos together. When he was young, the President used to be a famous Bishokuya. Could it be that you formed a combo with the President" she asked
"Absolutely not" Setsuno said
"Really, then who" she asked
"I was with a man named Jirou" she said
"J-Jirou, you don't mean" Toriko said
"Knocking Master Jirou?" Kimiko said
"Oh you've heard of him" Setsuno said
"I haven't just heard of him. Jirou-san saved my life" Kimiko said
"Oh, is that right?" Setsuno said, "Jirou would capture and I'd cook. We had a combo for quite a long time. We even went to Gourmet World together. We were even in love"
"So that's why my hair's like this" Toriko said as he touched his hair
"But Jirou saved your life? Really?" Setsuno said
The three then got off the train and Setsuno started to lead them towards her restaurant
"Your restaurant sure is far from the center of town, isn't it?" Kimiko asked
"There are lots of chain restaurants owned by Granny Setsu in town." Toriko said, "But the Setsunon statues they have all over them are embarrassing. Even so, Granny Setsu's shop has an income that even beats out the Gourmet Towers"
"Amazing" Kimiko said
"We're here. This is my shop" Setsuno said
Kimiko looked in front of her to see a gigantic castle like structure building
"That's a huge restaurant" Kimiko said
"Kimiko over here"Toriko said
Kimiko looked over to see that Setsuno and Toriko were standing in front of a small building
"Over there" she said
Setsuno unlocked the doors and then flipped over the sign that said 'Shiin' to 'Wuahh'
"What does that mean" Kimiko asked
"Shin means that she's making preparations. Wuahh means she's currently raking in money" Toriko explained
"Wuahh has such an unpleasant meaning" Kimiko asked
"Okay, let's go, you two" Setsuno then opened the door
"Excuse the intrusion" Kimiko said, "Oh, it's pitch black. Setsuno-san"
"Sorry, the shop's been closed for half a year so the light bulb blew out." Setsuno said as she replaced the light bulbs. The room was then illuminated, "Welcome to the Setsuno Dining Hall"
Kimiko looked around to see that everything was completely normal from the chairs to the cooking tools
"Everything is normal" Kimiko said
"Making the ultimate cooking using tools you can get anywhere. That's Granny Setsu" Toriko said
"That is pretty awesome! I never expect to have a chance like that!"-kimiko smiled brightly and hugged her male companion- "Thanks for that invitation Toriko-san!"
"No problem" Toriko said
"Oh, so you invited her" Setsuno said, "I was wondering why you were with someone, even though you only had a reservation for yourself"
"Ohh" -Toriko said- "thats because I met her after the reservation!" -he said grinning and rubbing his neck in embarrassment- "thats not a problem, is it?"
"It's fine, I have plenty of ingredients that are ready" she said and then rolled up her sleeves and put on her chefs hat
"You two take a seat, I have a special menu prepared today" she said
"Special Menu" Kimiko said as she took her seat
"Right, the Century Soup" she said
"Century soup" Kimiko repeated
"It'll take a little bit for the soup to be finished" Setsuno said, "How about I make some Garlic Bird Oyakodon?"
"Really?! Go right ahead, Granny Setsu!"Toriko exclaimed
Setsuno hummed and then took out a whole chicken and then quickly cut it into pieces and grilled it, and then quickly slicing the onions and then started to saute the onions with seasonings
"Amazing, she's doing multiple jobs at once, but even so, she's doing them all carefully" she said
"Okay, why don't we drink some water while we wait, Kimiko?" Toriko said as he poured her a glass of water
"Thank you, very much" she said and then took a drink and gasped, "it's delicious! What is this water? It feels as light as air"
"It's water that sprung from the Aqua Mountain. Air Aqua" Toriko said
"It's amazing, serving such high class water as drinking water"Kimiko said, "then again, I shouldn't expect anything less from Setsuno's Dining Hall" she then looked around, "now that I look around the menu is made up of high class ingredients"
"It sure is" Toriko said, "Her Full Course is made with the food that's in Knocking Master Jirou's menu"
"Those are all world-class, aren't they" Kimiko said
"Supplying the ingredients for my Full Course is difficult"Setsuno said, "I usually don't serve it. Not unless I request Jirou-chan to get it"
"The rice is finished" Setsuno said and then took off the top of the rice cooker making Toriko and Kimiko gasp in excitement
"That's Paradise Rice" Kimiko said and then saw Setsuno put algae on top of it, "Seasoned Algae, and it's the top-class kind!"
She then looked back at Setsuno to see her crack an egg that had ten yolks in it into the pan
"The egg with ten yolks in it, the Ten Yellow Egg! Isn't this incredible Toriko-san" Kimiko said and then looked over at Toriko to see that a waterfall of drool was coming out of his mouth
"Toriko-san you're drooling too much!" Kimiko exclaimed
"All right" Setsuno said and then took the bowls of rice and put the eggs and chicken she was cooking onto the rice, "here you go Garlic Bird Oyakodon"
"Idtadakimasu" Kimiko and Toriko said and then started to dig in
This is delicious! Kimiko thought as she took her first bite
"Granny Setsu! Seconds, please!" Toriko said holding an empty bowl
"You finished it already!" Kimiko exclaimed
"You should savor it more" Kimiko said, "anyway this oyakodon. I think I smell a hint of Sesame Chestnut in it"
Setsuno looked at Kimiko, "quite an attention to detail you got there, I added a tiny bit of crushed Sesame Chestnut in my soup stock" Setsuno showed Kimiko the little chestnuts she had in her hand
"I'm learning a whole lot! Something like Seven Flavor Herb would go well with that too, wouldn't it?" Kimiko asked
"That's an interesting notion" Setsuno said and then turned back to her kitchen, "you've got a pretty good palate and wonderful observation. Together with the qualities of curious power of imagination and eroticism" Kimiko instantly blushed
"Eh!" Kimiko exclaimed with her face red, "what do you mean by that?!"
"I think she means your sex appeal?" Toriko said while slightly blushing
"But I don't have any sex appeal" Kimiko said and looked at Toriko, "don't you agree?"
"D-Don't ask me!" He exclaimed while blushing at the thought
"Toriko? Are you feeling alright? Your face is red again!"-Kimiko asked concerned-
"It's nothing!" He said while blushing
"What does she mean by eroticism. Is she saying I'll be good at erotic cooking or something like that?!" Kimiko exclaimed
Erotic cooking, Toriko thought and blushed even more
"Toriko-san are you sure you're okay?" Kimiko asked
"I'm fine Kimiko" Toriko said as she continued to fuss over him
"I see, Kimiko-chan" Setsuno said as she watched the two interact with each other, "she has a bright future ahead of her" she then looked at her boiling pot, "it's done"
"Huh?" Kimiko said
"It's ready, my special menu, Century Soup" Setsuno said making Kimiko and Toriko stand up as she started to remove the lid
"This is" Toriko said as steam started to pour out of the pot
"The legendary sou-" Kimiko halted as she saw that there was nothing in the pot, "um, it's empty Setsuno-san"
Setsuno laughed and then looked at the pot, "is its level of transparency so high that you can't even see it. You can smell it, can't you"
Toriko closed his eyes as he sniffed the soup, and then opened them, "all of those ingredients I smell are condensed into the soup stock"
Kimiko turned her head towards the door as she heard a crowd of people outside causing a commotion
"Quite a commotion they're causing, but you can't blame them it's the legendary soup after all" Setsuno said and then took a bowl and started to ladle the soup into the bowl, "now here you go Bon Appetite"
"Idtadakimasu" Kimiko and Toriko said
"What a clear soup" Toriko said as he took a spoon and scooped up some of the soup and drank it, "Awesome"
"How's the soup" Setsuno asked
"It's amazing even though there are so many ingredients in it, it isn't heavy at all. How about Kimiko?!" Toriko looked over at Kimiko who was just staring at her soup
"What's the matter Kimi?" Toriko said, he still didn't get a response, "Kimiko!"
"Oh, sorry. The taste was so moving, I got immersed in it" Kimiko laughed
"So what'd you think about the soup?" He asked
"It was delicious" Kimiko looked at Setsuno, "Setsuno-san thank you for such a wonderful soup!"
"I'm glad to hear it" Setsuno said
"The only ingredient I knew in there was Silk Bird Remnants though, am I right?" She asked
What? After her first taste she was able to guess one of the ingredients, Setsuno thought
"Oh there were Mineral Coconuts in it too, right" Toriko said
"Oh yeah, I thought there was some taste I knew there" Kimiko said, "just what'd I expect from Toriko-san"
These two, Setsuno thought
"Although, I feel like something's missing" Setsuno perked up as she heard Kimiko say that
"You mean with the ingredients" Toriko asked
"I'm not really sure" Kimiko said as she looked at her soup
Setsuno smiled as she looked at the two.
"Kimiko, Toriko, would you like to see the kitchen" she asked
"What?!" Kimiko and Toriko yelled
"The kitchen" Toriko said
" The kitchen is in a different place?" Kimiko asked
