How stupid could I be, how could I forget that the grand tournament would start today and the time for enlisting was nearly over. As fast as I could I ran through the streets of the island of papaya to somehow reach the tournament areal in time. As I came closer I could see how somebody got enlisted maybe I would get there in time. The person stepped aside and I came to a sliding stop in front of the registration, the guy behind the table set the closed sign on top of it. "I'd like to enlist", I said out of breath. "I'm sorry but the registration just ran out", the guy behind the table informed me. "Please I'm only half a second too late can't make you a exception?" I asked and put on my best puppy gaze. "We can't make exceptions I'm sorry." Angry I knocked on the table who gave away under the force of my blow. "Vic", I heard a voice beside me. I turned my gaze to the side and saw Kakarot and the others standing there. They hadn't changed much just like me. "Hello guys", I said. "Looks like you have to watch this year", laughed Yamcha. "Looks like it but so you and Krillin at least got some of a chance", I said and smirked at him. Yamcha just blinked confused and shook his head. Together we entered the area. Together with Bulma, Puar, Oolong and Roshi I accompanied the others to the arena where only the fighters had access to. "It's a shame you can't participate Vic I would have liked to fight against you", Kakarot said. "Be careful what you wish for I will kill you if we fight", I said. Kakarot simply laughed and went into the arena. "What was that about, that was nice", Bulma said and turned around. "Say Vic have you seen where Master Roshi has gone?" Bulma asked me. "No idea where the old lech has gone but let's get something to eat I'm starving." Together we went over the area until we reached a little restaurant. While Bulma and I ordered something Puar and Oolang went away to watch the prelim fights through the window of the arena. The waiter brought us our dishes, I winked at him and he turned around irritated. Greedy I started spoon the fruit sundae that stood in front of me. "Vic can I ask you something?" "Sure", I said and licked my spoon. But the question didn't come instead Bulma took a good look at me. "You're a girl aren't you?" she asked me after all. I halted in my movement and looked at her irritated. Then a grin spread across my face. "Did you suppose something different?" I asked back. "So it's true?" she said shocked. I laughed, put the spoon in my mouth and pulled my top closer to my chest so the appendage of my breasts was visible. For a fifteen old I had a pretty puny breast size but I put it on the fact that I didn't had my heat yet. Bulma starred at me with wide eyes and I let go of my top again. "Why do the others treat you like a boy than?" Bulma asked irritated. "Because they think that I'm one", I said with a shrug. "Honestly Bulma my behavior doesn't show that I'm a girl" I continued when she didn't say anything else. "Right beside Vic isn't a typical girl name." I had to laugh again. "That's only a short form actually my name is Victoria." Bulma looked at me astonished she seemed surprised that I told her that so bluntly. Silent we eat our ice cream and then went to the ring where the final fights should take place.
To my surprise and the surprise of the other attendant Jackie Chun gave up after he had given his opponent Tien a talk about the wright and the easy way. The young man seemed to be surprised as well and left the ring. Kakarot also had trained a lot I could see that and he reached the final. The fight between the two was pretty even. Kakarot could have won the fight, but the two had gotten far away from the ring and because a truck hit him he touched the ground outside the ring at first. "That was really bad luck", Krillin said after we met Kakrot after the fight. "Well that can happen", Kakrot said with a shrug. "Excuse me", a voice came from behind us. We turned around und to our surprise Tien stud there together with his friend Chiaotzu. "We behaved very improper and wanted to apologize to you with Diner." "That sound great. This are Lunch, Bulma and Vic by the way", Kakarot introduced us. "It's a pleasure", Tien said und kissed our hand what earned him a strange look from the gathered and made me blush. Together we went in the direction of the next restaurant. Half of the way Kakarot realized that he had forgotten the Dragonball of his grandfather at the arena. Krillin volunteered to get it and went back while we took our seats in the restaurant. Suddenly I felt how Krillins fighting strength raised and then disappeared which let me jump from my seat for reasons unknown.
