Lunamugetsu: I do not own Toriko

Kimiko panted as she ran further into the ice cave.
This is the first time, Toriko-san has asked me something seriously, she thought, he's relying on me. I have to find the Century Soup, no matter what!
"Over there." she said as she saw a light up ahead and started to run faster, she then halted as she saw a figure there with their back turned towards her. She observed that the person was wearing a long pink wig and also had a green mask on, and had a green lighter suit. The person then turned to face her and started to charge.
"Eh! Wait a second!" she exclaimed as the person went right towards her and then bypassed her making her halt in her screaming making her look back at the man.
"Um." Kimiko said not sure of what to say. That was when the person lifted their hand up and took a breath. That was when Kimiko started to hear something down the cave from where she had come from.
Buzzing, Kimiko thought and then squinted to see that there were insects flying towards them.
"Eh!" Kimiko exclaimed as the beetle went straight towards her and then stopped as the man clapped his hands together squashing the bug in between them.
"Y-You just squashed the bug like it was totally normal!" Kimiko exclaimed as the person grinded their hands together crushing the bug into dust and then sighed and started to their mask off, revealing that he had a green tinted pompadour with a scar running down right eye.
"I don't know how to use Knocking on this sort of insect" he took off his mask and then held a finger in front of Kimiko, "Shh. Don't speak" he told her in a whisper, "Or you won't be able to return home from here."
Kimiko was too distracted by the man that she didn't even notice that there was another beetle that flew right past her.

"MMMMMPPPHHH!" Kimiko yelled as the man covered her mouth while chunks of ice fell from the ceiling
"Please be quiet. Seriously, if you're not quiet, we won't be able to go home. They're really showing off a lot up there." he mumbled and then the ice stopped falling
"Please excuse me, but I need to get going!" Kimiko said as she started running but was then held back by the man.
"Wait a sec" he said as he held onto her, "I'm telling you, I can't let you past here."
"I've got to get the soup. Toriko-san is counting on me! I can't let anything in my way!" she exclaimed and then ran as the man loosened his arms around her

Kimiko yelped in surprise and then clung to the wall as everything started to shake.
What's going on up there, Kimiko thought and then started to move forward again while clinging onto her Gourmet Case.
"I made it" Kimiko said as she saw the ending of the tunnel and started to run towards the end to see a lake of ice.
Where's the soup? She thought and looked to the ceiling, That's the end of the Gourmet Show Window, So where's the aurora? Maybe the soup has such a high degree of transparency. Kimiko then walked over to the lake and touched the bottom, not feeling any liquid at all.
No, this is too cruel. Everyone's putting their lives on the line for this, Kimiko thought
"There's no so-" Kimiko's statement was muffled as a hand came over her mouth. She waved her hands wildly and then looked behind her to see the man who told her to be quiet before and watched as he held up a notepad with some messy writing on it.
That's awful handwriting, I can't read it!, Kimiko thought as she looked at the messy scrawl and then the man flipped to the next page showing more bad handwriting
That's not better, Kimiko thought and then squinted her eyes to try to make out the writing.
The lighter suits have listening devices on them, she read and then looked back at the man, letting a strong silence hanging in the air.
Why are you not saying anything? She thought
"The mouth is a source of calamity" he simply said
"Uh, okay" Kimiko said and then saw that he was writing something down in his notepad and then he showed it to her
The devices were implanted by the client. Monroe Yakkori-shi. Not only is his handwriting bad, but he didn't even bother getting the client's name right. It's Colonel Mokkoi, but, Kimiko thought and looked up to the man
"Is it true?" she said and was only met with silence
He stopped talking, Kimiko thought
"I checked myself, it's true" he finally said, and then took out his notepad showing messy handwriting
If he finds out there's no soup, he'll go home and leave us here, Kimiko read and then looked back at the empty lake. That was when the two heard some people yelling.
"WHAT THE HELL IS THIS!" a hairy monster yelled
"Tina-san" Kimiko said as she recognized the reporter and saw the hairy monster and his two companions, "and, uh, you"
"It's Zonge." the man said
"Kimiko, don't tell me" Tina said
"Tina-san wait!" Kimiko exclaimed
"HEY! HEY! HEY! Seriously! We made it all the way here, and the soup isn'-" The hairy man stopped talking as the man in green rushed over and touched the man's chest making him completely still
"You said too much" he said, scaring the rest of the group, "Please quiet down, I've only used Knocking on him. Relax. Man, that was close. He almost let out the fact that there was no soup slip out."

Everybody stood still as the words echoed throughout the cave.
"EEEEEHHHH!" the man and Kimiko said in alarm
"Wait a minute! Didn't you say that 'the mouth is a source of calamity'!" Kimiko exclaimed
"Shh. Talk using the notepad" he said
"It's too late now! And you said that out loud!" Kimiko said

"Are you kidding me! Then we can't leave the continent!" Tina exclaimed along with her pigeon.
"Yeah" Kimiko said and then looked at the man who was holding a notepad that had sorry written on it.
"You can talk now." Kimiko said as she listened to the others panic.
"This is the worst." Tina said as she fell to her knees
"Are you okay, Tina-san? I didn't even know you were here" Kimiko said
"There's no way I was going to leave this big scoop alone!" she yelled, "But Colonel-shi hates the media so I disguised myself to get on. I meant to follow Toriko, but I followed this screw up" she pointed to the paralyzed man
"It was a pleasure working with Zonge-sama, uh sir, can you please undo this curse?" One of Zonge's subordinates said
"It's not a curse, he said it was Knocking, how far are you going to go with this RPG?" the other one said
The man then lifted up his notepad that said 'I can't undo it now'
"You can speak now." Kimiko sighed
"I can't undo it now. I hit him with that relatively tightly" he explained
Thank god for that, Kimiko thought
"I thought Toriko-san was the only one who could use Knocking on someone with just their fingers. Who in the world are you?" she said making the man stare at her.
"My...name...is…" he said as he started to write it down.
"Um, you don't need to write it while you're talking." Kimiko said
"Oh, my name is Teppei. A food Saiseiya" he said
"Food Saiseiya?!" everybody said
"Yup, nice to meet'cha!" he said

"A food Saiseiya?" Kimiko questioned
That was when Zonge started to say something but which added up to nothing comprehensible.
"What are you saying Zonge-sama?" one of his underlings said and walked over to him.
"'What the hell's a Saiseiya, dammit?!' Is that it?" he translated
How on earth did you understand that? Kimiko thought
"They're also known as Gourmet Revivers. They protect rare ingredients, breed endangered species, and protect ingredients all over the world from being depleted. They're emergency rescuers for food." Tina explained
"Oh, so they're an important establishment in the world, like the Bishokuya." Kimiko said
"Well, I'm not hired by countries or the IGO like a lot of Bishokuya are. I'm a free Saiseiya" Teppei said
"And here I thought you were just a weirdo of somewhat low intelligence. I never would have thought that you were a Saiseiya" Kimiko replied
"What about you?" Teppei asked
"Oh, I'm sorry. I haven't introduced myself. My name is Kimiko, I'm a chef"
"A chef, huh?" Teppei said, "So is the reason you're with Toriko, is because you're his partner?"
"Do you know Toriko-san?" Kimiko asked
"Well he's famous. Well, I am famous, too. Enough to need to wear a mask" Teppei said
"So that's why you're wearing a mask?" Kimiko asked
"Bishokuya and Saiseiya have opposite goals. Having a completely different goal on this trip, I couldn't risk exposing my true occupation." Teppei said
"But why go so far as hiding your identity?" Kimiko asked
"At a certain person's request. I went to go look for the Century Soup, and sure enough, there wasn't any stock left. The ingredients in the Gourmet Show Window are extinct species that no longer exist in this world. Even for me it'd be hard to revive" Teppei explained
It's so sad, Kimiko thought as she looked at the ingredients encased in ice.
"Yun. Yun. Yun." a sad voice cried out. Everybody looked over to see a small pink penguin waddling his way towards them.
"Oh, that's a Wall Penguin." Teppei said as he saw the penguin waddle up to Kimiko.
"What's wrong? You finally met back up with your parents, so why'd you come here?" Kimiko asked as she kneeled down to the penguin's height
"Yun. Yun." the penguin said with watery eyes.
Could it be, Kimiko thought back to the group of Bishokukai from before and looked at the crying baby penguin. She then immediately pulled the penguin into a hug.
"You're all alone now, aren't you?" Kimiko said and hugged the penguin tighter as the he cried. When the penguin abruptly stopped crying she looked back at the penguin.
"What's wrong?" she said and then looked up to see an aurora stretching throughout the cave.
"Being able to see the aurora means that… Teppei-san!" Kimiko exclaimed
"The soup is still here!" he said
"Really?" Tina said
"Yeah, only a little, but it's still here" he explained
"Let's go find it!" Kimiko said and then looked over at the penguin to see that he was happily cheering while Kruppoh was flying around in circles. That was when pieces of ice started to fall from the ceiling.
"The other's are still fighting up there." Teppei said as more ice continued to fall
Please wait for me, Toriko-san. I'll definitely get the soup, Kimiko thought
