Today was the day Mr.Schue would choose the pairs for his duet assignment. He had paid close attention to his students for the past few weeks in order to know which pairs would work and which pairs would try to kill each other. It had taken some time -and help from Ms.Pillsbury- but he had finally chosen the right pairs.

"After some long consideration, I have made the perfect pairs for this week's assignment. Drum roll please," He said causing everyone to start patting their legs to make a drum-like sound, "Mercedes, you're with Santana. Mike, you'll go with Blaine. Kurt and Puck. Artie, I want you with Tina. Sam and Brittany. Finn and Rory. That leaves Quinn with Rachel."

Quinn immediately turned her head in the direction of Rachel's small figure. She smirked when Rachel turned around and visibly shook under her gaze. Quinn has the biggest crush on Rachel; although she hadn't talked to the brunette much, that was only because Finn was always around her.

"Any objections?" Mr.Schue asked raising his eyebrows and looking around the room. It wasn't a real question but he wanted everyone to feel as though they had a say in who their partners were.

"No," Everyone besides Rachel replied. With a nod of his head, Mr.Schue went on to explain the lesson further. He told them they had free reign to perform whatever they wanted in whichever way they wanted.

At the end of glee, everyone walked out of the choir room either by themselves or with their partners. That is everyone except Quinn and Rachel. Quinn had packed up her things late hoping to avoid seeing anyone in the hallways when she left. Once she had everything in her bag, she moved to walk out of the choir room, but she stopped abruptly when she realized she didn't have Rachel's number. Turning around quickly, she bumped into the brunette.

"I'm so sorry." Rachel said taking a step back. This was her worst nightmare. She knew how much power Quinn had at McKinley. One small slip up like that could cost her her entire life.

"No, it's fine, really. I shouldn't have stopped all of a sudden. I just wanted to see if I could have your number," The blonde said shifting her weight nervously. This was a rare sight for anyone to see. Quinn wasn't one to get nervous; she held herself with confidence and intimidation.

"A guy would usually ask me out before he asks for my number," Rachel said making Quinn blush. Was the Rachel Berry flirting?

"Then I guess it's a good thing I'm not a guy," The blonde said scratching the back of her neck.

"Give me your phone," The diva said making Quinn hand over her phone. She quietly watched as Rachel typed her number in. Seconds later she had her phone back in her hand with a new contact. She had a smile on her face when she noticed the star next to Rachel's name.

"Did you drive today?" She asked, not thinking it was safe for Rachel to walk home alone at this time.

"Yeah, I kind of knew Finn and I would end up fighting today," Rachel said quietly. Quinn felt her smile fall when she heard that. Rachel didn't deserve to be treated that way.

"Walk with me?" Rachel asked after moments in silence passed. She held out her hand for Quinn deciding to test her luck. After all, it wasn't every day that she got to talk to Quinn, let alone in this way.

Quinn eyed the brunette's hand before taking it and walking out with her. The two walked down the empty hallway together with smiles on their faces. Once they got to the front doors of the school, Quinn held the door open for the smaller girl and didn't fail to notice the slight blush appearing on the girl's cheeks.

The blonde walked Rachel to her car and said her goodbyes before leaving for her own car. She was about to drive away when she felt her phone vibrate in her lap. Deciding to check who had texted her, Quinn picked up her phone and blushed when she read the message.

Rachel 3:30 pm- You may not be a guy but you do have the necessary appendage

Quinn 3:31 pm- I guess that means I'm dangerous

Rachel 3:31 pm- You're only dangerous if I fall for you

Quinn 3:32 pm- You mean when

Quinn looked up and saw Rachel staring at her from across the parking lot. Smirking she drove away leaving a stunned Rachel.
