Rachel's singing is in bold. Quinn's is in italics. Both of them is in bold italics.

It was raining harder than before when they made it to the cabin. Quinn got out and opened the door for Rachel taking her hand as both of them ran inside trying not to get any wetter than they already were.
"Um, I think I left some clothes here the last time I was here. You can grab whatever fits. There's a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. All the rooms have been turned into study rooms, game rooms, family rooms, and a nursery so that means there's only one bed. That's by the window around the corner. I'll get you a towel and you can take the upstairs bathroom to shower if you'd like. Make yourself at home, I'm going to take a quick shower," Quinn explained once they were inside. Rachel just nodded along with everything the blonde had said.
Quinn left and came back with a towel for the brunette and told her she could look for clothes in the dresser pressed up against the wall.
The blonde went to the bathroom downstairs once she was sure Rachel had everything she needed. Twenty minutes later she was upstairs looking for blankets.
"Here, you take the bed I'll take the couch," Quinn said finding the brunette already in bed. She handed Rachel a thick blanket before turning to go toward the couch.
"Quinn, let me take the couch. It's your cabin, it's only right," The diva said grabbing Quinn's wrist to stop her from leaving.
"No, you're my guest, you should be comfortable," The blonde reasoned. She didn't want Rachel to be uncomfortable.
"Quinn..."
"Fine, how about this. We can share the bed," Rachel nodded and scooted closer to the window allowing Quinn to scoot in behind her. She let out a content sigh due to the warmth radiating off the blonde.
"No funny business," She said feeling Quinn move a little closer. That prompted a laugh from the blonde.
"Understood. You told your dads you're staying, here right?"
"Yeah, I didn't tell them I'm with you though," She responded feeling a little guilty. She didn't like lying to her dads.
"How come?" Quinn said stifling a yawn.
"I don't want them to call and give me the sex talk. They did it when I first told them I was going out with Finn. They did it again when Puck was introduced and again when I brought Kurt home for dinner. I've memorized it."
"Jeez, Berry, your parents really go overboard. My mom had the talk with me when I was 14. Ever since that day, I've never heard a word about it again."
"Why 14?" Rachel found herself asking. It was certainly a young age to have the talk.
"It was the first time I brought a girl home. She told me the usual stuff, like not to get her pregnant and to always wear a condom. She wasn't even my first which is kind of funny. I and my brothers joke about it all the time," Quinn explained. Rachel made an understanding hum before speaking again.
"What was it like? Losing your mom. If you don't mind me asking," She asked deciding to test the waters. Maybe she would get Quinn to open up.
"My dad kicked me out two weeks later. My uncle, Greyson, took me in. My brothers left with me and it's just been us ever since," Quinn said avoiding the question.
"That's not what I meant. What was it like for you?" Rachel asked turning to lay on her side so she could face the blonde.
"Imagine the only person you really care about in this world. Now imagine that person leaving your life forever never to return. That sadness, that hopelessness, that's exactly how I felt. Judy was the only person that truly believed in me. She truly cared for me. Sometimes when I close my eyes I can see her smiling or laughing. But then I remember that she's gone," Rachel had tears welling in her eyes as she held on to every word Quinn said. They fell into a comfortable silence until Rachel scooted closer to Quinn.
"Goodnight Fabray."
"Night Berry."
--
Quinn woke up by noon. She rolled over and hit the cold ground.
"Fuck!" She let out once she realized what had happened.
"Hey, there sleepyhead," Rachel's cheery voice sounded from the kitchen. Quinn turned her head and got a perfect view of Rachel's ass as she walked away. She felt her erection start to grow as Rachel swayed back and forth to the music playing.
"Are you hungry, I'm making stir fry. I know it's not breakfast, but It's almost one in the afternoon so..." Rachel started but drifted off when she turned around and saw the visible tent forming in Quinn's sweatpants. The blonde quickly grabbed a pillow to cover herself up and nodded frantically.
"Stir fry would be nice. I'm going to go take a shower, I'll be down shortly," Quinn said quickly as she rushed up the stairs.
Rachel was about to object when she remembered Quinn showered last night but stayed quiet once she realized why the blonde needed a shower. Instead, she walked back to the kitchen and checked on the food. Soon she heard Quinn's rushed footsteps upstairs and a door closing.
Half an hour later Quinn came downstairs wearing a black checkered shirt, gray skinny jeans, and black Vans. She dropped the pillow on the bed and made her way to the island in the kitchen. She sat down and watched as Rachel turned off the stove.
"Where do you keep the plates?"
"The third cabinet to the left," Quinn told her as she pointed to the cabinet.
"Thanks," Rachel said before placing a full plate in front of Quinn and herself as she sat down across from the blonde. They ate in silence until Rachel spoke again.
"What caused you to...you know..." The question caught Quinn off guard causing her to choke on what she was swallowing. She turned a violent shade of red as she coughed.
"That's an explanation for another time. Has Hudson called you?" She said once she stopped coughing.
"Yeah, he asked me why I didn't come home last night and who I was with," Rachel said letting Quinn change the subject.
"Did you tell him? That you were with me?"
"No, he'll just get mad and overreact. It's best if we just keep this," Rachel motioned to the both of them "between the two of us. It'll be our little secret."
"Maybe this could be our place. We could come here when we want to get away from everything. Somewhere only we know," Quinn suggested as she mindlessly poked at the food on her plate.
"Somewhere only we know," Rachel repeated as the wheels in her head started turning.
"I think we just found our duet song."
"I think so too," The brunette agreed.
"I can't wait to see Hudson's face when we sing this," The blonde said being fully aware that it was a romantic song. Rachel laughed making Quinn smirk.
"Why do you call him Hudson?"
"Again, that's an explanation for another time."
"Fine, tell me something."
"Like what?"
"Anything."
"Um...when I was younger, my uncle Grey would take me camping. We would stay here whenever storms would pass. He gave me the key to this place when I turned 15. He told me that when times get tough and I don't want to face reality, I could come here to get away from life. He and my Gran are the only other people that know about this place. My Granny pays for everything but never questions what this place is and where it is. Now you tell me something."
"On my 6th birthday, my daddy took me to see Broadway shows for the first time. We saw Wicked and then we saw the Phantom of the opera. On our way home I fell asleep, but I remember waking up and telling him that one day I would be up on that stage. Ever since that day, I've known what I want to do with my life."
"Touching," The blonde said with a small smile on her face.
"Douche, what's that thing Kurt always says to the football players when they make fun of him? One day you will all work for me?" The brunette said making Quinn laugh. She watched as Rachel shook her head.
They finished eating and washed the dishes together as they playfully danced along to the music playing. Quinn insisted that Rachel go and find something for them to do as she put the dishes away. Soon she joined the diva in the living room looking down at her phone.
"We should start leaving at seven, that way we'll be back in Lima by nine. If there's traffic."
"So, we have six hours to kill. I would normally make you practice the song, but I really don't want to do that," The brunette said propping her head up with her hand.
"Put your shoes on," Quinn said suddenly.
"What?"
"Put your shoes on, I'm taking you somewhere," Rachel got up and did as she was told. She grabbed her phone and joined Quinn outside.
"Where are we going?"
"No questions," Quinn said as they started walking away from the cabin.
"So, you mentioned your Granny. Is she from your mom's side of the family?"
"Yes. My mom's side of the family are the Fabray's, Russel's side is Amell. He has a brother, Quentin Lance, who lives in Starling City, Washington. He's not really his brother, but he treats him like one. Quentin has two daughters, Laurel and Sara. My mother's death isn't what made Russel kick me out. What pushed him over the edge is the fact that Laurel and I dated for a while. Laurel was my first. Quentin was fine with the relationship, but he stopped talking to Russel because he thought he was overreacting; I think that's what really made Russel crack, he felt like I was the reason why he and Quentin grew apart. I still talk to them, they treat me like family, Laurel and I are still friends nothing more and Sara has always been like a little sister. Why do you ask?"
"I was just wondering. There isn't much to know about Ms.Quinn Fabray," Quinn nodded once Rachel was done talking. After moments of silence, Rachel decided to ask her next question, "So does that make you wealthy?"
"Yes, but I prefer to work for what I have. I'm not the typical rich socialite."
"I suppose you're not," Rachel said as she slipped her hand into Quinn's. The rest of the walk was silent.
"We're here," Quinn said breaking the silence once they arrived at a small lake.
"A lake?" The brunette asked.
"Yeah, get in the boat over there," They both walked to the boat beside the dock and stepped inside. Once they were settled, Quinn began rowing away from land.
"You can swim right?" She asked when they were far from land and near a waterfall by some rocks.
"Who can't swim?"
"People," Quinn smirked when Rachel huffed. She stood up when they were near a couple of rocks to tie the down the boat. Once on dry land, Quinn started undressing. She climbed the rocks until she got to the top of the waterfall. Rachel eyed her with a hint of worry seeing as Quinn was pretty high up.
"GERONIMO!" She yelled as she jumped off and landed in the water. Seconds later she came up laughing. She saw Rachel staring at her and swam toward the boat.
"Get in, the water's fine," Rachel complied and undressed before jumping out of the boat. Quinn was right, the water was fine.
"How deep is this?"
"About ten feet," Quinn replied before Rachel threw water her way causing a water fight. The rest of the hour was spent on the water. The two of them swimming around and splashing each other. Rachel had never been happier.
"We should get back," Rachel said when the sun started to set.
"It's probably five, so we have a little bit of time for one more thing."
"What might that be?"
"You'll see," Quinn said swimming over to some low rocks. She sat down and grabbed a towel to dry her hair. She stood up and put her clothes back on. Rachel, getting the hint, did the same. They walked up the rocks and sat near a small cliff overlooking the trees.
"Look right...there," Quinn said pointing to the sun getting lower. As the sky changed color, Rachel got closer to the blonde until her head was resting on her shoulder and Quinn had her arm around her.
"I don't want this day to end," Rachel said getting the blonde's attention. Quinn turned her head and stared into Rachel's eyes. Slowly they started drifting closer until their lips met. Their lips moved in sync while they both fought for dominance. Rachel let her hand run through Quinn's blonde locks. The blonde's tongue ran over Rachel's bottom lip silently asking for permission to enter. It was at that moment that the brunette realized what she was doing.
"I can't. I'm with Finn. I'm sorry. I-I can't," Rachel got up and ran off leaving a confused Quinn behind.
--
The drive home was silent and the only thing said was a simple 'we'll practice tomorrow'. Rachel quickly greeted her dads and went straight to her room. Quinn got home and did the same.
A few streets away the two were laying on their beds staring up at the ceiling hoping tomorrow wouldn't be awkward, but they could only hope.
--
The next day, Quinn and Rachel met in the auditorium and practiced. Quinn played the piano and sang her parts along with harmonizing with Rachel.
"You can't just ignore what happened yesterday," Quinn said, stopping the song abruptly. The kiss had been eating away at her.
"I can and I will. I'm dating Finn and what happened between us was a mistake. We were caught up in the moment and didn't realize what was happening," Rachel said the last part more to reassure herself.
"You can't tell me you didn't feel that spark. That kiss meant something," Quinn was right and Rachel knew it, but the brunette didn't want it to be true. She didn't want to put Quinn through having to deal with slushies because of her. She couldn't do that to her. Quinn didn't deserve that.
"It meant nothing to me. I regret it and I would very much appreciate it if we act as though it never happened," The only thing Rachel regretted was saying those words as soon as they came out of her mouth. She failed to notice the tears that began to form in the blonde's eyes.
"I'll see you in glee," Quinn coldly said as she got up from the piano and walked away without another word.
--
"Alright, Puck, Kurt that was really good. Quinn and Rachel the stage is yours," Mr.Schue said before Quinn walked to the piano and began playing the first keys.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river, and it made me complete
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
Oh, simple thing, where have you gone?
I'm getting old, and I need something to rely on
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired, and I need somewhere to begin
And if you have a minute, why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go?
So why don't we go?
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know
Somewhere only we know
Somewhere only we know?
When they finished the song, they walked back to their seats and waited for Mr.Shue to say something.
"Guys that has to be by far the best song you two have done. I don't know what you two did but keep it up," Mr.Schue said with a smile on his face. He meant every word he said. Finn, on the other hand, had something different in mind.
