Sorry I took a million years!!! This fic felt pretty finished and I didn't know what to do next! Well, now I have about one or two chapter ideas left before I'm done. Yay! I'm actually gonna finish! heh heh.
Confronting the class about Bakugou's past mistakes goes WAY better than expected.
Uraraka hugs Deku AND Bakugou.
"You're both so strong. You've come so far." She says.
"It's amazing how you started out so far from your goals in different ways, but still both managed to become real heroes as well as reconcile with each other." Tsu agrees.
The self-dubbed Bakusquad crowd around Bakugou and Suzuki, who grips his arm tightly.
He's ready for condemnation.
Kirishima crouches to Suzuki's eye level.
"Hey there, Kidbro! I'm Bakubro's best friend, and I'd like to be your friend too. Are you cool with that?"
She looks up at Bakugou for guidance.
Bakugou rolls his suspiciously agitated eyes. "Yeah. Shitty hair is cool. You'll like him."
"Awe! Bakubro!"
"SHUT UP MORON! AND STOP CALLING ME THAT!"
He freezes, hoping his outburst didn't freak out Suzuki. He sighs in relief when he realizes she's giggling.
Eventually, they go back to their picnic, one new honorary member of class 1A in tow. They eat their food, and the class goofs off, making Suzuki laugh and smile. She's still timid, but her walls are slowly coming down to the delight of everyone.
"Was your dream to be a hero?" Suzuki asks Izuku quietly while they eat.
"...Yeah."
"And them telling you no. It made you…"
"A little bit. It helped that I had my mom."
"I'm a foster kid." Suzuki admits.
"What's your dream…?"
"I just want friends. Maybe a family..."
"Well, dream fulfilled!" Izuku smiles brightly. "You now have twenty. Twenty-ONE once I introduce you to Shinso."
Bakugou, who is silently listening nearby, snorts in agreement. "And once you meet Aizawa Sensei," he smirks, "you'll have a dad."
Please review! And go back and read the last five chapters again if you want! I just updated them today on March 21st. No big changes, but they've been edited and changed to present tense. I think they flow much better now so give them another shot if you want.
