Never thought I'd come up with this, but here's my version of the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie with Vivziepop characters based on the recast I made of it on my Deviantart account. It basically started when I imagined the spot on casting of Alastor as Jack Sparrow and the rest just kinda wrote itself.
Just like in the shows, this story takes place in a Hellish realm except it's during an 18th century-like period in the time of pirates. It'll feature mostly Hazbin Hotel characters in the leading roles but it'll feature Helluva Boss characters in supporting roles as well. And some of the male roles will be filled by female characters. I'll also change some of the dialogue to fit the characters. Finally, I'm going to add in some of the deleted scenes from the movie into this rewrite. All that said, enjoy!
Disclaimer: I own nothing that has to do with Pirates of the Caribbean or Vivziepop.
Chapter 1: Pirates Ye Be Warned
(In the world of Hell, the Dauntless, the massive flagship of Hell's Royal Navy, sails through a thick cloud of gray fog. A little girl with white skin, red cheeks and long blonde curly hair wearing a light blue dress stands at the rail of the ship's bow gazing out at the sea in front of her. She softly sings a tune about the life of a pirate.)
Charlie: (singing) We pillage, we plunder, we rifle and loot. Drink up me hearties, yo ho! We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot. Drink up, me hearties, yo ho! Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me. We extort, we pilfer, we filch and sack. Drink up-
(She's interrupted when a hand grabs her shoulder. Startled, she turns around and sees a slim spider-like man with four arms, white fur, fluffy white hair with pink details, a fluffy chest, a dark-colored left eye, a light-colored right eye and wearing a navy sailor's outfit.)
Angel Dust: (whispers harshly) Quiet, missy! Cursed pirates sail these waters. You don't want to bring them down on us now, do you?
(Charlie looks at him nervously. Two more men walk up behind them. The first is a young man with dark blue-green skin, short dark green hair, red eyes with green pupils, and wearing a navy officer's uniform.)
Seviathan: (sternly) Mr. Angel, that will do.
Angel Dust: She was singing about pirates. Bad luck to be singing about pirates, with us mired in this unnatural fog. Mark my words.
Seviathan: Consider them marked. On your way.
Angel Dust: Aye, Lieutenant.
(Angel Dust walks off while taking out a small flask with rum and drinking it when the others aren't looking. Seviathan stands next to Charlie.)
Charlie: (smiles) I think it'd be rather exciting to meet a pirate.
Seviathan: Think again, Miss Magne. Vile and dissolute creatures, the lot of them. I intend to see to it that any man who sails under a pirate flag, or wears a pirate brand, gets what he deserves: a short drop and a sudden stop.
(Charlie frowns and looks back at Angel Dust. He tugs in his collar and makes a dead face to mimic a man being hanged. Charlie gets a little disturbed. The second man steps up. He's a tall professional looking man with white skin and red cheeks like Charlie. He wears a fancy politician's uniform and a long wig.)
Lucifer: (skeptical) Lieutenant von Eldritch, I appreciate your fervor. But I'm concerned about the effect this subject will have upon my daughter.
Seviathan: (calmly) My apologies, Governor Lucifer.
(Seviathan walks away as Charlie turns to her father.)
Charlie: Actually, I find it all fascinating.
Lucifer: Yes... that's what concerns me.
(He follows Seviathan away from the bow. Feeling chastised, Charlie continues to look out at the water. Then she spots a small umbrella floating up to the ship. She curiously watches it pass and then looks ahead again and sees a large piece of driftwood emerge from the fog carrying an unconscious young girl. She immediately turns around alerts the men on the ship.)
Charlie: (urgently) Look, a girl! There's a girl in the water!
(Seviathan, Lucifer, Angel Dust and some others look over the side and see the girl.)
Seviathan: (calls out) Man overboard! Man the ropes! Fetch a hook! Haul her aboard!
(Charlie watches as the crew scrambles to pull the girl from the water and lay her down on the ship. Seviathan observes her.)
Seviathan: She's still breathing.
(Angel Dust looks out in the fog and sees something else approaching.)
Angel Dust: (shocked) Holy shit cakes...
(Everyone turns their attention to the water. In front of them is a massive wreckage of a burning ship broken in half with debris floating everywhere.)
Lucifer: What happened here?
Seviathan: It's most likely the powder magazine. Merchant vessels run heavily armed.
Angel Dust: Lot of good it did them... Everyone's thinking it. I'm just saying it. Pirates!
Lucifer: (nervous) There... There's no proof of that. It could… Probably an accident.
Seviathan: (to the crew) Rouse the captain, immediately! Heave to and take in sails! Launch the boats!
(The crew prepare to send out row boats. Some of them lift the unconscious girl on a crate. Lucifer takes Charlie aside.)
Lucifer: Charlie, I want you to accompany the girl. She'll be in your charge. Take care of her.
(Charlie nods understandingly and Lucifer walks off. As some of the crew start searching the wreckage, Charlie approaches the girl and looks at her. She's got gray skin, long white hair that covers where her left eye should be which has a pink X instead. Charlie gently strokes the side of her face and she suddenly wakes up gasping. Charlie takes her hand.)
Charlie: (comfortingly) It's ok. My name's Charlie Magne.
Vaggie: (panting) Vaggie Turner...
Charlie: (smiles) I'm watching over you, Vaggie.
(Vaggie slips back into unconsciousness. Charlie notices a small chain around her neck. She pulls it and reveals something under her shirt. It's a gold medallion with a skull and some unusual patterns engraved on it.)
Charlie: (stunned) You're a pirate!
(She takes it off Vaggie's neck and stares at it. Seviathan comes up behind her.)
Seviathan: Has she said anything?
(She faces him and hides the medallion behind her back.)
Charlie: Her name's Vaggie Turner. That's all I found out.
(Seviathan nods and turns to his men.)
Seviathan: Take him below.
(The men take Vaggie down in the ship's quarters where she can rest. Charlie sneaks away to the ship's stern and examines the strange medallion. She looks up and sees something else through the fog. Sailing away is a galleon with black sails. She sees the flag its flying and it's a black flag with a skull and cross cutlasses on it. Her eyes widen with fear as she realizes it's an actual pirate ship. She shuts her eyes tight.)
(Eight years later...)
(Charlie's eyes open. She's now a young woman in her bed. She lies stunned by her dream for a moment before getting up and opening a drawer in her dresser. She removes the contents and opens a secret compartment revealing the medallion. She takes it out and looks at a mirror as she puts it around her neck. Then she hears a knocking at her door and her father's voice.)
Lucifer: Charlie?
(Startled, she frantically throws on a dressing gown and hides the medallion under it.)
Lucifer: Are you alright? Are you decent?
Charlie: (nervous) Yes!
(Lucifer opens the door and enters with some housemaids.)
Lucifer: (smiles) Ah, still abed at this hour? It's a beautiful day!
(One of the maids opens the curtains and the window showing a view of the coastal town and naval base of Port Royal. Large ships and small boats sit in the harbor.)
Lucifer: I have a gift for you.
(Another maid brings in a box. Lucifer opens it and shows a gorgeous fancy dress.)
Charlie: (amazed) Oh, it's beautiful!
Lucifer: Isn't it?
Charlie: May I inquire as to the occasion?
Lucifer: Does a father need an occasion to dote upon his daughter? (chuckles) Go on.
(Charlie takes the dress behind a dressing screen and starts undressing her sleeping clothes.)
Lucifer: Actually, I, um… I had hoped you might wear it to the ceremony today.
Charlie: (confused) Ceremony?
Lucifer: Captain von Eldritch's promotion ceremony.
(Charlie peeks from behind the screen looking unenthused.)
Charlie: I knew it.
Lucifer: (proudly) Commodore von Eldritch as he's about to become... a fine gentleman, don't you think? He fancies you, you know.
(The maids help her put the dress on. She gasps as they tighten it on her.)
Lucifer: Charlie? How's it coming?
Charlie: (uncomfortable) It's difficult to say...
Lucifer: I'm told it's the latest fashion in Pentagram City.
Charlie: Well, women in Pentagram City must've learned not to breathe.
(A butler walks into the room and faces Lucifer.)
Butler: M'lord, you have a visitor.
(Downstairs in the governor's manor, Vaggie, now a young woman as well wearing a brown trench coat, pants and boots, paces around by the front door holding a long thin case. For some reason, she reaches for a candle holder on the wall and it breaks off easily. She quickly hides it in an umbrella stand as a servant walks past her.)
Vaggie: (sheepishly) Good day.
(Lucifer comes down the stairs and sees her.)
Lucifer: Ah, Miss Turner! It's good to see you again!
Vaggie: Good day, sir. I have your order.
(She sets the case on a table and opens it. A fine looking sword and sheath are inside. Vaggie takes it out and presents it to Lucifer. He pulls the sword out and examines it.)
Vaggie: The blade is folded steel. That's gold filigree laid into the handle. If I may...
(Lucifer hands it back to her. She balances it on her finger between the handle and the blade.)
Vaggie: Perfectly balanced. The tang is nearly the full width of the blade.
(With ease, she flips the sword in the air and catches it by the hilt. She gives it back to him.)
Lucifer: Impressive... very impressive. I know Commodore von Eldritch is going to be very pleased with this.
(He puts it back in the sheath and Vaggie returns to the case.)
Lucifer: Do pass my compliments on to your master.
(Vaggie feels troubled by that assumption since she was the one who forged the sword. She gives him a fake smile.)
Vaggie: I shall. A craftsman is always pleased to hear his work is appreciated.
(They hear footsteps and see Charlie coming down the stairs in her new dress. Vaggie smiles at the sight of her.)
Lucifer: Ah, Charlie, you look absolutely stunning.
Charlie: (delighted) Vaggie! So good to see you!
(She walks up to her.)
Charlie: I had a dream about you last night.
Vaggie: (blushing) About me?
Lucifer: Charlie, is that entirely proper for you to…?
(Charlie ignores him and keeps talking.)
Charlie: About the day we met. Do you remember?
Vaggie: How could I forget, Miss Magne?
Charlie: Vaggie, how many times must I ask you to call me Charlie?
Vaggie: At least once more, Miss Magne. As always.
Lucifer: There, see, at least this girl has a sense of propriety. Now, we really must be going.
(Lucifer takes the case from the table heads out the door with some servants. Charlie smiles at Vaggie again.)
Charlie: Good day, Miss Turner.
(She goes out the door and enters a carriage in front of the manor with her father. Vaggie stares lovingly at her.)
Vaggie: Good day... Charlie...
(The carriage rides off out of the manor's property and into the town. Lucifer turns to his daughter.)
Lucifer: (sternly) I do hope you demonstrate a little more decorum in front of Commodore von Eldritch. After all, it's only through his efforts that Port Royal has become at all civilized. Hmmm?
(Charlie just nods and looks out the window with a discouraged expression.)
(Out at sea, a lone small boat with a single sail approaches the harbor of Port Royal. Standing atop of the mast in a cool pose is Captain Alastor Sparrow, a tall, slim, pale-skinned, red-eyed, man with red and black hair. He wears a long brown coat over a white undershirt, linen trousers, sea boots, a knotted red sash carrying a sword, a flintlock pistol and a compass. On his head is a red bandana and a black tricorne hat over it. He stares at the coastal town with a big determined smile as the wind blows and an epic instrumental score plays in the background.)
(He looks down at his boat and swings down from the mast with a rope. He lands in the water that has flooded his boat and grabs a bucket. He starts dumping some water out before stopping when he passes a rocky overhang where some skeletal remains of pirates hang from nooses. A sign hanging next to them reads, "PIRATES YE BE WARNED". He removes his hat and holds it over his chest and salutes the corpses with respect.)
(In the harbor, sailors and workers are busy loading cargo on and off the ships. One of them spots a bucket floating pass them. Then they all stop working and stare out in bewilderment at Alastor atop of his boat's mast again getting closer to a dock as the boat slowly descends into the water. When it reaches the dock, he casually steps onto it as the boat sinks. The epic music stops and he looks over at a random group of shadow demons with orchestra instruments hovering above the water.)
Alastor: Nicely done, boys!
(The shadows vanish into thin air. Alastor walks by a harbormaster and a cabin boy who turn back to him.)
Harbormaster: (perplexed) What? Hold up there, you.
(Alastor stops and faces them.)
Harbormaster: It's a shilling to tie up your boat at the dock.
(They look at the boat and only see the top of the mast sticking out of the water.)
Harbormaster: And I shall need to know your name.
(He opens his logbook. Alastor takes out some coins and places them on the book.)
Alastor: What d'ye say to three shillings and we forget the name?
(The harbormaster looks at his cabin boy who nods in agreement. He closes the logbook.)
Harbormaster: (smiles) Welcome to Port Royal, Mr. Bosco.
(Alastor walks off down the dock as they turn away from him. He passes the harbormaster's desk and takes a small money bag from it. He shakes it and hears coins rattle inside. Then he stashes it and leaves the dock.)
I for one can picture Alastor making an epic entrance like that. How 'bout you? Plenty more to come!
