People think animals are just animals; they have no opinions whatsoever. Let me explain you they have never been so wrong about it.

Let me tell you the story of Tiberius.

Tiberius was Mr Darcy's favourite dog; he was given but his Master's uncle for his 20th birthday, and Tiberius always supported his Master. He Supported him throughout his Master's father's death, in the recent Ramsgate's development, now more than ever, Tiberius was required.

He watched his Master's eyes seeking out for something, or perhaps someone, on their morning walk. Tiberius learned that this someone was Miss Elizabeth.

Tiberius spotted her one day. Dogs sensed instantly if a person is good or not, and Miss Elizabeth was a good one. But he saw the Master turning away from her even though he searched for her. And let us assert that Master Fitzwilliam entrusted Tiberius with his deepest secrets.

He knew his Master was falling for the handsome brown-haired lady what he could not figure out is why he would not speak to her.

Action was required.

The next day Tiberius decided that if he had to be scolded for something, it would be for this. Tiberius was an obedient dog, but his Master needed him, or he would make a fool of himself, or worse the orange goose would get him. And that was something Tiberius never wished. She attempted it before, and Tiberius was on his guard since that fateful night where she tried to get into his Master's chamber. But Tiberius had heard her coming and he had done his duty.

She was a mean goose who would drive his Master miserable and Tiberius with it.

The brown-haired lady would be his mistress, but he would have to make it happen.

It was a bright frosty morning that saw Darcy following a very excited Tiberius.

"Hey, boy! You are quite in a uproar this morning" As soon as they were outside of the house, Tiberius took off for their usual trail, but this time he would not swing back, this time he would greet the charming lady.

Darcy followed his dog who run away with intent, utterly oblivious to the trap his dog intended.

When he would not turn back, as expected, Darcy kept on calling him to no avail.

"Tiberius come back boy, Tib come on! It is time to head home." Darcy whistled, but his dog would not listen.

"What is going on with him today" He mumbled to himself. A little angry at his dog, he followed him, intending to show him who is the Master.

As he strode toward Tiberius, he lost sight of him. He Wandered where the hound might have gone, when suddenly he heard a feminine voice that he recognised all too well and cursed his dog for throwing him into this.

"Hello you, where are you coming from? Have you lost your Master?" Tiberius barked in responded and rubbed himself against the lady's gown. In the corner of his eyes, he watched his raging Master coming toward them, and perfectly aware of his Master's character the dog slightly jumped on to the lady's leg and caused her fall.

"Miss Elizabeth, are you ok?" Darcy rushed to her side as he watched his dog jumping on her. "I am sorry for my dog I do not understand what got into him" He supported her to stand fully offering his handkerchief so she can clean the mud on her robe.

"Oh, do not worry Mr Darcy, I am certain he did not intend to harm me. Did you?" She spoke to Tiberius who barked.

"Nonetheless, I have trained him better!" he frowned at his hound.

"Oh, no, please!" She put herself in between him and the dog. "Do not scold him, we were merely getting acquainted, and it was an accident!"

Darcy could not resist seeing Elizabeth defending his dog.

"What is his name?" She distracted him.

"Hum… Tiberius."

"That is a a handsome name!"

"Yes, it was my sister's choice!" His smiled unconsciously which made Elizabeth blushed a little. This smile had altered his feature drastically. the haughty and severe Mr Darcy was gone for a moment.

"Well, it is a pleasant choice! Tiberius, I am happy to make your acquaintance." She said it while patting the hound whose tail swayed happily.

"It seems you made a new friend this morning Miss Elizabeth."

"I do like to establish new acquaintances and I count myself lucky to have such a handsome friend as Tiberius!" The dog barked happily staying close to Elizabeth as he did like a good rubbing.

"Do be careful Miss Elizabeth, if you praise him too much he might become quite an overbearing friend."

"Is that so Tiberius?" Tiberius yapped. Both laughed. "We all need one overbearing friend in life, do we not?"

From far away, Tiberius saw the man he hated most. This man hurt the Master and the Mistress. He knew his true nature. He growled, ready to jump and defend his new companion.

Miss Elizabeth and Mr Darcy followed Tiberius's attention. As Mr Darcy realised why his hound was acting in such a manner, he patted him while using comforting remarks.

"Do not worry boy, he would not come again; we are safe."

Miss Elizabeth wondered at his comments and the dog's reaction as she studied at Mr Wickham passing by. He had stopped, eyed their way, but reversed direction when he noticed who was with Miss Elizabeth.

She frowned at that too for he told her many times that he would not be the one to face away Mr Darcy, as it was Mr darcy who was the villain in his narrative.

When Mr Wickham had faded away from their sight, Tiberius calmed down. All this intrigued her a lot. She needed to discover more about the affair.

"Would you care to accompany me on my walk, Tiberius?" The dog barked cheerfully.

"I think it means yes, I shall leave you to it then, Tiberius knows the way home."

As this was not what she preferred, she quickly added.

"I would say, Mr Darcy leaving a lady with such a nobleman without a chaperone would not be a suitable thing, would it?" She lifted an eyebrow to emphasise her question.

"I, hum yes, absolutely."

And so they went on, Tiberius strolling at the front thrilled about the turn of the event. His duty was done, now he hoped his Master would take his chance.

"Would you not assert, Mr Darcy, that dogs are the most clever judge of character?" She tempted.

"I could not agree more, Miss Elizabeth, Tiberius has been my greatest ally in this world."

Darcy realised where her thinking was progressing. He did not know why, but at this moment he desired to warn her of Wickham's true nature.

"Miss Elizabeth, if I may be bold, I understand Mr Wickham is an acquaintance of your family. I am certain he has been one of the most friendly man, but I beg you to be mindful. He has deceived many before and would go at any length to advance his situation. I cannot state you the full extent of his immoral character for it does not belong to me, but if you would enquire with the local establishments, I am certain he already made himself known to them but not in a nice fashion."

"Please do not strain yourself, I have to tell I am somewhat confused with your declaration. But it may seem a little odd but I have always trusted a dog when it concerned someone's character. So, I will ask my father to enquiry."

"Thank you Miss Elizabeth." Yet again he was smiling which disconcerted her. She could only smiled in return.

They continued in silence. Elizabeth thoughts were most engaged to what had just arisen. She was first confused with the inconsistency of Mr Wickham's story now that she had some hindsight, but what profoundly disturbed her was Mr Darcy.

He did not appear to be the gentleman she assumed he was. In the corner of her eyes she glanced at him. He was at ease now. his body relaxed and his feature peaceful.

She had to admit, he was a very handsome man.

Weeks passed by, and Mr Bennet did establish some inquiry about Wickham which would end up with the man being sent to the gallows. As people would realised that not only Wickham had debts all over the village but some maids came forward to accuse him of a more serious deviance.

As to Tiberius, he made sure that every morning he ran out and met, unexpectedly, obliviously, Miss Bennet. And every day our dear couple understood more and more each other to the point where Darcy could not ignore his affections for the lady anymore, be his family damned.

And so one morning, Darcy walked intently toward their meeting spot, grinning nervously. As he reached his lady love, the world disappeared little by little.

"Good morning to you, Mr Darcy! Are you alright? you look flushed." Elizabeth's concern all over her face.

"Yes, I am. Well, not exactly."

"how so? Perhaps I can be of help?"

"Yes, you may. You see I have a pressing affair that I do not know how to resolve."

"My father do entrust me sometimes with his affairs maybe I can provide some discernment."

"Well, it is not a business question to be exact, well, sort of but not the main object."

"Oh dear! Are you positive I am the right person you should share this with?"

"yes, I do!"

"Then you would have to be more…"

"I love you Miss Elizabeth." He blurted out.

Elizabeth mouth was half opened, eyes widened with his declaration. Silence grew stronger by the minute that Darcy lost his assurance.

"I am sorry, I thought… I do not know what I thought! Please excuse my presumptions and be assured that I would not impose on you."

He turned away, his heart breaking apart at each step. When he heard her cry for his name.

"William, no William please stop!" As he turned around, she sprinted towards him, slightly red from the exercise.

"You do understand you have to wait for a lady's response before making any assumption?"

"I… I" She touched his lips with two finger to quiet him. She smiled to him reassuringly.

"I was just not expecting that sort of declaration that is all and further, I assumed our relationship was just friendship." She glared at him as he was about to talk. Her looks rendered him silenced again. "I have never caught the interest of a gentleman before not the romantic sort. So I did not know what to expect. Jane did pointed out to me that you were interested in more than friendship but I did not want to hope for anything more if it was to be rejected later." A few tears escaped her beautiful eyes. Darcy approached slowly towards her, beaming. He embrace her face with his palms. She closed her eyes at the warmth and grinned.

She had fantasized of this so many times that she could scarcely believe it was true. Her affections for him changed so much since that morning when Tiberius jumped on her.

She sensed his forehead on her,as she grasped the lapel of his coat for support.

"Elizabeth" He sighed.

'Yes' was all she could respond as he closed the few inches between their lips. And even though Lizzie had dreamed of it many nights, her dreams had never close to the way he kissed her now.

She felt his passion for her, his warmth when his arms encircled her. She was not in rest as her hands travelled to his hair giving the treatment they deserved. They could not have enough of each other, small moanings escaped them from time to time. Every new touch became their favourite until another was found. the craving for each other only increased at any tease of their feverish grasp.

That morning two person watched this interlude. But only one was thrilled. The other one stormed out of her chamber in anger, fixed to cause as much damaged as she can around her.

But do not fret, she never achieved what she calculated, for her brother was thoroughly prepared to receive her fury and this time Miss Bingley was rendered speechless and powerless.

The other person was not technically a human as per se but do not mention it in front of him or meet his bites.

But now he was content. He would gain a great Mistress and was looking forward to the many walks they would participate and as a good dog he would support his Mistress to the best he can.

So what do you think ? I might missed a few thing also the changed of character's thoughts made it a little blurry but I am only a hooman!

I have already wrote down one with bingley/Jane, just a few minutes ago I had a thought for the colonel, but if you have one character that you would like to see and maybe the idea of the animal that can go with it please feel free to let me know! I am open for ideas.

Next I will attempt to do after the rain and the Christmas one :)

stay safe everyone
