The Trouble With Henry and Schwoz's Horse-Faced Sister

"Schwoz…" Charlotte said threateningly. "Put the dart gun down." She cautiously stepped in between Ray and Schwoz with her hands up.

"I said," she repeated menacingly, "Put the dart gun down. Now."

Schwoz looked at Charlotte and realized how much trouble he was going to be in if he didn't put the gun down. Though Ray was indestructible and Henry had lightning-fast reflexes, Charlotte was definitely the scariest person in the Man Cave when she got angry.

"Fine. But I will get you back," Schwoz warned in his Schowz-y accent, glaring at Ray while lowering the gun. Ray only smirked and stuck his tongue out at him.

Henry and Jasper were out working on a science project at his house. They had mentioned something about Ghostbusters…? Whatever. Because her best friends were gone and she had nothing to do, Charlotte had decided to come down to the Man Cave. However, if she had known that she would come down in the middle of two idiots arguing about Frittles, then she would have just stayed home.

The fight started as a small argument about which Frittle flavor was the best, and then escalated quickly. For some reason, Ray decided to remind Schwoz that his sister looks like a horse, which infuriated Schwoz because apparently only he is allowed to compare his sister's facial features to a horse. And this is the scientific genius we allow to create our weapons? Charlotte thought. She rolled her eyes, scoffing at her thoughts.

She waited for Ray to hit the shower, then picked up her book on high-energy particle physics. It was just then that Henry came walking into the Man Cave.

Henry. Henry. That boy was going to be the death of her. Those deep brown eyes, his silky blonde hair, and those lips. The ones she dreamed about kissing all the time. She shuddered at the thought. She thought about him whispering her name in her ear, his voice filled with love and passion.

Char.

Char.

"Char!" Charlotte was jarred out of her thoughts by someone calling her name. Henry looked confused as she visibly jumped out of her chair.

Shoot. Henry. Noooooooooooo. Charlotte whined in her brain. Whenever Henry's around, my brain stops working. Stupid brain.

"Uhhhh hi. Hehe sorry." Charlotte replied, laughing nervously.

"Um, hi there," Henry said, clearly amused. He was trying to hold back a smile at Charlotte's bewildered expression. "You were in some sort of trance."

"Oh, hahahaha. Ha ha. Ha." Charlotte laughed like a maniac, trying to come up with some valid excuse.

"Okay then. Um, I just came to ask if Schwoz has a radio frequency meter. Jasper and I need it for our project."

The words radio and frequency snapped Charlotte out of her weird, love-induced state. Ahhhh science. Something I can comprehend.

"Oh, right. I think there's one in his portable lab. Lemme go get it for you." Charlotte jumped out of her chair and practically ran over to Schwoz's lab, desperate to put some space between her and Henry.

She rummaged through the carefully organized kit, and, within seconds, found the meter and handed it to Henry. Henry's finger brushed Charlotte's as she gave it to him and she quietly drew in a breath.

"Thanks, Char! I'll see you tomorrow for movie night?"

"I'll be there!" Charlotte called, as Henry made his way back to the elevator and flashed her a smile.

Charlotte let out a long breath once Henry had left and relaxed back in her chair.

Ohhhhh boy.

I couldn't imagine writing my first romance fanfic about anyone other than Chenry as I've been a hardcore shipper for a long time. Let me know what you guys think!
