Summary: An unfortunate training accident causes Goku's long-forgotten "Kakorot" to resurface permanently. Now his friends and family must learn to love and accept him. But can Chichi learn to love and accept the new Goku? And can the new Goku learn to love her back?

At this point, she already knew this phone call had something to do with Goku, worse if it had something to do with Goten. Annoyed, Chichi held the phone close to her ear. "Bulma if you're calling to let me know that Goku is off on some new planet training, I swear Bulma even you are going to catch a piece of my, what do you mean where is he now?". In a deep worry, her breath started to get heavier.

"Mom, is everything alright with dad? Is he training somewhere new?". Gohan asked his mother.

"Quiet Gohan I'm trying to listen". She barked back.

This shouldn't be anything new to her. She had probably lost count of how many times Goku had run off without any words or notice, or how many times the man had already died. Still, like the loving wife she was she still worried so much about his well-being than anything still caused her to fare up. Gohan placed a hand on his mother's shoulder in an attempt to get her to sit down and take a breath. Chichi looked at her son, by this time Gohan had already caught up that something had happened with his father and that they needed to leave at once.

After what seemed to be eternal to Chichi, they had finally made it to the capsule Corp installations. Ignoring all of the formalities Bulma's house bots offered, she ran inside looking for the blue-haired woman.

"Bulma! Where is he? Where is my Goku?". Chichi grabbed Bulma by the shoulders and shook her with some force. Causing her bangs to shift along with the motion.

"Follow me, but you're going to have to take it easy". Bulma ran her fingers thru her hair attempting to fix it into place.

Once Gohan and Videl caught up to Chichi, Bulma took all of them towards an extended part of her lab that she used as an infirmary. The well-lit room due to the large windows and the many types of lamps was also colder than the rest of the installations, and the white floors reflected each and every one of them perfectly. Goku was placed on the extended hospital bed. He was already connected to several machines to keep him monitored. Since he had friends in a¡varios places. She was able to get a neuro to consult at home alongside a nurse for the 24/7 hour care. Only for Chichi to shoo her away as soon as she got there. Nearly threw herself on her husband's hospital bed. Mixed with worry, ranged annoyance, and everything else. She had no idea what to think about him.

Chichi grabbed on his gown collar and shook it with her force. "Goku you listen to me and you listen well. If you don't wake up soon you'll miss your son's birthday. And I won't forgive you Goku. You have already missed enough time with your Goten".

Bulma's eyes flung wide open, she ran towards the distraught wife and grabbed her. Whisking her away from her unconscious husband. "Chichi, I thought I told you to take it easy. the poor man can't even hear you right now. Besides, you could do more damage!".

Chichi took a breath and realized what Bulma had said. She folded her arms in front of her chest and shrugged.

"His CT scans showed clear. MRI as well. All vitals are normal and he sort of response to stimuli. The doctor did all the words but he said nothing was wrong with him. His scans didn't show anything abnormal. But since he is a Saiyan his physiology is a bit different from ours. So all we could really do is wait for him to get his shit together that's pretty much all".

Family and friends came together within a short notice of time. Word got around pretty quickly that Goku had suffered from a training accident and that wanted to show their support as much as they could. Krillin,18, and all the rest of the gang flooded the room. While Roshi made googly eyes at 18, of course, her cold shoulder and right hook always put him back in his place, which always made Turtle into a good mood. Mr. Satan, like always, boasted how in his day he couldn't be injured no matter how great that trauma was. And that if he had been training along with the two Saiyans he would've shown them some special technique to avoid these kinds of collisions. Yamcha and Puar showing pictures and stories of their travels thanks to the baseball games they had all over the country. And Piccolo stood silent in a corner like always.

Nighttime had fallen and the Capsule corp headquarters were still filled with life, well besides Goku of course. Panchy and Chichi worked together to cook everyone dinner, a liking both of them shared. Bulma and 18 on the other hand, had different interests. Bulma treated 18 to a cup of coffee and Marron to some warm milk with cookies.

"Someday right." Android 18 made a quick comment. She held Marron in her lap and fed her some cookies to keep her entertained. Bulma typing away at her laptop worked never seemed to stop around for her. Not even in moments like this where her house was full of friends.

"You can say that again, damn Goku. The stress he caused me will kill me sooner or later". Fire in her soul, Chichi chopped vegetables furiously before shoving them into a pot. Her forehead practically with a permanent eleven for all the scowling she had been doing all day.

"You should really take it easy, you're starting to grey up." 18's low sultry voice echoed in Chichi's ears. She stopped the knife almost in a heartbeat. The room went silent once more. The only sounds that they were able to make out were the bubbling from the pot and a teapot about to burst with its signature whistle. "Take it easy?", Chichi spoke with a low grumble in her voice.

"Yeah you know, stop worrying so much".

Almost in sync the tea's whistle and Chichi's patients busted in unison. "I should let you know that I've been married much longer and raised a son much older than your girl. I think I know what I am doing and I don't need more added comments about my wife's skill. Besides, I would kill if Goku was a bit more like Krillin. Do you have any idea how stressful it is to be married to a Saiyan while raising half Saiyans sons one of which has already left and is starting to build his own family? Do you 18!". Chichi's left forehead vein nearly throbbing while her pale skin turned into a rosy red.

"Bulma is married to a Saiyan and has a son with him." Her calm tone keeps firm. Almost adding insult to injury, "You don't see her losing her shit". 18 brought her cup to her lips and took a small sip.

"Now girls let's settle down and take a breather. Every marriage has its perks and it's not so swell moments. Look at me", Panchy made her way between the two ladies holding a tray of bread in her oven mitt covered hands.

"I am more than sure I've been married much longer than you two girls. Raised two daughters and now I even have a grandson. Not to mention Bulma wasn't such a peach while raising her." Bulma raised a brow at her mother's comment. Shrugging it off she kept her eyes glued to her laptop and her finger kept gliding over the keyboard, momentarily taking her hand towards the mouse and making some moves. "Come on girls help me take everything towards the dining room. I'm sure the house bots have finished setting the table up. There sure are a lot of people here tonight. Come on that included you to Bulma dear".

...

A large lavish dinner was something not so common in the Brief's home. Of course, Panchy was pretty much a master chef, but everyone had their own lives and schedules. So something like this would only be done during the holidays if they were lucky.

After thanking Panchy for the meal and having one last check on Goku, everyone had finally left home for the night. Kirillin said he would be back tomorrow afternoon to see if anything had changed. Since he was the only one who seemed to live close enough he took it into his own hands that he would be the one in charge of informing the rest if anything had happened. Bulma had offered Chichi and Goten a room where they could stay for as long as they needed to, complete with all of the amenities they would need for their stay.

Everything was now still, no sort of noise could be heard all throughout the quick hot shower, Bulma continued her work. She snuggled close to her husband's warm body. She sat upright with her laptop still in her grasp. The sound of her fingers punching over the keyboard seemed to get Vegeta's attention. Since the incident with Goku, he hadn't spoken a lot. He was never really one for small talk but at least with Bulma he was able to let loose and share a bit more than with other people.

"Woman, put that machine away already. All day you've been attached to it". His husky voice breaking the silence in the dark bedroom.

Bulma moved her eyesight towards Vegeta. "I'm trying to fix your mistake".

Vegeta felt a bit appalled by the way his wife accused him. Of course, he was aware of what happened and the consequences but still he didn't expect his own wife to pull a grudge on him.

He sat up and leaned his body against the backboard of their bed, he turned towards Bulma. "Might as well accuse me of murder already. Believe it or not I actually do feel bad for what happened. And trust me if I wanted to kill Kakarot it would have happened years ago". Vegeta folded his arms.

Bulma now too annoyed by this attitude and barked back. "Maybe if you would learn to control your impulse maybe this mess wouldn't have happened. Why are you always so adamant about surpassing everyone?"

He folded his arms across his bare chest. "You wouldn't understand".

The next morning was a bit calmer than last night's dinner. For one, there weren't nearly as many people, second Chichi was less irritable due to finally and getting some rest. Both Panchy and her had spent the entire morning cooking up a storm. With one Saiyan and two half Saiyan kids, there needed to be more than enough food to go around. Not to mention the rest of the house, even though they didn't eat nearly as much as the three.

Quickly the table was set up with an array of fruit platters, rice bowls, salmon, eggs, and miso soup. Everyone was eating their breakfast with some to nearly no talk at all. Chichi calmly and enjoying her breakfast, Mr. Briefs held a paper up to his face occasionally turning the page. Vegeta was no were to be found and Bulma just like last night, kept her focus on her work. Trunks and Goten seemed to be the only ones paying attention to each other.

Bulma's bright blue eyes lit up as a smile sneaking up on her face. "I got it!", she yelled at the top of her lungs. Everyone else at the table turned her attention towards her. "I was able to synthesize the properties of a senzu bean. We can give it to Goku in an IV drip and he should be good as new". Bulma felt proud of her new accomplishment, only she quickly realized that the rest were kind of puzzled. She sighed. " When Goku was K.O, I sent Vegeta on a search for a senzu bean, only Korin said that there aren't any left until next year when they are at their peak. And since he isn't technically dead we can't wish him back with the dragon balls, so this was the next best thing.

The rice chichi was holding in her chopstick fell as well as her jaw. "Well, then Bulma what are we waiting for, get that thing in him already!"

Everyone left what they were doing and ran towards Bulma's lab. Not to their surprise, Goku was still out cold. Bulma ran in with some sort of flask in her hand. She began fiddling around the medical supplies and found some syringes which she used to inject the synthetic senzu bean into Goku's IV drip.

Once in the clear liquid turned into a very light green tint. They all watched it flow down into the catheter that was placed into his forearm. The room filled with silence and suspense. Everyone seemed to hold their breath waiting for some kind of reaction. Nothing.

"Bulma I thought you were some sort of genius, what happened why isn't the damn thing working already?" Once again Cichi's irritability kicked back in. A small sweat drop formed on Bulma's forehead. She ran her fingers through the back of her cerulean colored hair. "Well I guess we need to give it some time, I mean it is a synthetic version so maybe it doesn't work nearly as fast as the real thing.

As the two continued their bickering, Goten was beside his father's bed. Looking closely at him for any potential movement. He took notice of Goku's eyes slowly twitching. He looked over to the monitors that were hung up beside the hospital bed. Goten noticed the numbers on them where starting to rise as well the machine started beeping louder and louder.

"Um mom, I think something is happening." Goten turned his head towards the two ladies who seemed not to hear him over there down discussion. Goten continued admiring the machines and how much ruckus they were making. He walked over to his mother and poked her back repeatedly.

"Not now Goten", she shooed him off. Continuing the blame game.

"Mom…", he persisted.

"I said not now Goten can't you see-". Finally, she caught up with what her son was trying to tell her all along. Bulma too gifted her attention towards Goku's direction.

Still in his hospital bed. He brought up his hand towards his head and pressed it against his forehead. Grunting slightly as he did. He looked at his surroundings and grabbed on to his IV, ripping it out as he sat up. Finally bringing his attention towards the people staring at him.

"Who the hell are you".
