It was a bright, sunny day, but something felt off: he had just gone to sleep! He had no idea why he was walking down a tree-lined path. Camo stopped for a moment to take a view of his surroundings. Walking beside him was Sodo, who had his paw clasped around Camo's.

"Hey, why'd you stop?" Sodo asked with a bright smile. The hyena was wearing a black leather jacket that didn't bear any tears, a white tee, and some black jeans.

"Where am I?" thought Camo to himself. "Didn't I just fall asleep in my bed? How the heck am I outside? How is it daytime right now? And didn't I just tuck Sodo into bed? How is HE here?!"

The possum was very, very confused. "Um, how did we get here exactly?"

"What are you talking about?" Sodo responded. "We walked here together, remember?" Sodo lifted their held hands. "What's going on with you, huh?"

"Um, nothing," Camo told him. "It's just, I thought I just fell asleep, and now all of a sudden, I'm here with you. That doesn't make any sense. I was just in my bed right now, I-"

Sodo put his finger on the possum's lips. "Shh," he told him. "It's alright, dude. Maybe you were just imagining things or something like that, I don't know."

Camo took a look at his surroundings. The sky was a vibrant blue and the sun shined brightly upon it. Lush trees surrounded the area the two were in, and across from his line of sight was a crystal clear lake. It was the exact lake that Camo walked past earlier.

"I remember this place," Camo said aloud. "You and I walked here earlier! Remember, we were shopping with T.O and the other guys, and we just happened to walk by this lake. I apologized for, uh, walking into your room while you were changing."

"Yeah, I remember that, hehe," Sodo said. "Well, how was the view?"

"Don't ask me that," Camo blushed. "Kinda don't wanna talk about that as of right now."

"Aw, come on," Sodo said. "Don't be so embarrassed about it. Things happen, ya know? Eventually we just gotta move on. Don't stress about it. You overwork your mind too much, and that's why you get frustrated so easily."

Camo had to take in Sodo's words for a long moment. The possum never really thought that he could be overworking himself, could he? Is the stress behind his actions the reason why he gets really angry at certain intervals in time? Camo could only hope that this wasn't the case.

"Alright, I won't stress about what happened too much then, if it'll make you happy," Camo responded at last.

"I want you to do what makes you happy," Sodo said back to him. "I'm just giving you some tips so that maybe you could, uh, better yourself."

"I'm fine with that, but I don't need advice," Camo suggested. "I'm perfectly fine as is."

"Hm, alright then," Sodo said. "Whatever you say." He blew the bubblegum he was chewing into a bubble as he looked ahead in the distance. Sodo grabbed Camo's hand and continued to walk towards the docks.

Camo was ultimately confused as to why Sodo was holding his hand and walking on the tree-lined path at the same time. "Why are you holding my hand?"

"Why not?"

"I mean, it just isn't like you to do something like this, you know? I've never seen you behave like this before. You seem a bit more open and social, if you get what I mean."

"Well, maybe talk to me more, and then you'll get to know me a bit better," Sodo explained. "I'm pretty comfortable around you, but I hope I'm not bothering you."

"No, it's fine," Camo said. "Let's just walk. Um, where are we heading exactly?"

"The docks by the lake," Sodo answered.

"Alright, let's go over there then."

Sodo and Camo walked towards the docks together, paws still tightly together. As others passed by, they began receiving weird looks. This reminded Camo that he and his friends had also received similar glances when they went out to go shopping for supplies. "Maybe this is just déjà vu?" the possum thought to himself. Everything that had happened hours before Camo went to sleep seemed to debut their appearance once again. Unlike before, however, these strange recurrences disturbed Camo greatly. As for Sodo, he didn't mind being looked at whatsoever.

"These people are looking at us weirdly," Camo told the laid-back hyena.

"So?"

"So, maybe we should, uh, stop holding hands?" Camo suggested. "I mean, look at how these people are reacting to this."

"Why does anybody else's opinion matter to you?" Sodo asked. "So what if they look at us? That won't change anything. And honestly, who cares? Like I said, you need to relax."

"Why are you so calm about this?" Camo asked.

"I don't want to deal with the stress of having to worry about what other people think about me," Sodo answered. "Everybody judges anything that doesn't seem normal to them."

"Hm, you are definitely right about that," Camo added in.

A moment of silence befell the two. The ambience of Camo's surroundings reminded him of the time he and Sodo ate together at the table during the early afternoon. Instead of messes being made and screaming to be heard, birds chirped in the fresh air, and green leaves had neatly fallen from their trees. People who walked by them either ignored the two holding hands or gave them weird looks. One woman who passed by passionately smiled at the two.

"See?" Sodo told the silent possum. "There's nothing to be worried about. You're getting nervous over nothing."

Although Camo had relaxed his thoughts a bit, he was still questioning one thing. Why was Sodo holding his hand in the first place? Is there something up with Sodo right now? Camo wasn't sure. Despite this, he continued to just participate. Besides, Camo actually liked the feeling of holding another person's hand.

"This has got to be some weird dream or something," Camo thought.

"Well, we're here," Sodo told him.

"Huh?"

"We're here at the docks."

"Oh, I'm sorry, I completely forgot about that, hehe," Camo chuckled. "I was just thinking about something else, sorry."

"Uh, what were you thinking about?" asked Sodo.

"It's nothing," Camo stuttered. "It was nothing, don't worry about it. Um, you want to get on a boat or something? Up to you if you want."

"Sure pal," Sodo said. "Come on, let's go."

Camo and Sodo proceeded to enter the wooden canoe that stood by the dock. The canoe almost tipped over into the lake upon the two entering, which resulted in Camo and Sodo having to regain their balance on the boat. Luckily, it didn't tip over, but Camo had fallen on top of Sodo, developing an awkward moment for the possum.

"Whoa, we just got here, dude," joked Sodo. "Already making moves, huh?"

Camo ignored what the hyena said, however. He was a bit clammed up about falling on top of him. "Geez, I almost fell off the boat, but Sodo broke my fall. Hehe, it's funny. That small moment kinda felt nice, in a way."

"You grab one paddle and I'll grab the other, and then we can row this thing for a bit," Sodo instructed.

"How far do you plan on taking this thing?" asked Camo.

"Just towards the, uh, middle of the lake," answered Sodo.

Camo and Sodo proceeded to paddle their canoe, steering it to the center of the crystal clear lake. This procedure took a while to do, since Camo wasn't familiar with paddling canoes at all. In addition to this, he was still stressed about the events that were currently taking place right in front of him, which made it difficult for Sodo to paddle the boat to where he wanted the canoe to be.

"Paddle it the direction I'm going to," Sodo told Camo.

"I'm trying!" exclaimed the confused possum. "I haven't done anything like this before."

"It's okay, sweetie," Sodo said. "Just do what I'm doing, and be sure to focus, since I can see when you're wandering off. You just need to breathe, decompress a little bit! Row the boat like I'm doing."

"Did Sodo just call me sweetie?" Camo asked himself. "Why did he call me that? I mean, I'll accept the compliment, I guess."

Camo was surprised that Sodo was able to notice when Camo wasn't paying attention to the simple task at hand. Startled, he simply followed Sodo's instructions. "Alright, so like this?" Camo asked the hyena in front of him.

"Yes, exactly like that," responded Sodo. "Like I said, just keep doing what I'm doing, and uh, we'll get there, together." He smiled.

Over the next few minutes, Camo and Sodo managed to reach the center of the lake. Camo couldn't help but stare at the smile that was on the hyena's face. The longer the possum looked at the happy face across from him, the warmer his heart began to feel. Camo proceeded to stop paddling due to how his mind began to wander off again.

"Alright, I think that's enough," Sodo said. The hyena stopped rowing the boat and put his canoe paddles aside. Camo quickly did the same. Once again, another montage of complete silence filled the air between the two. Camo and Sodo both stared at each other; Camo began to look away a bit a couple of times, while Sodo gazed at the possum in front of him in awe, placing his head onto his hand, admiring the possum's big physique.

"Whatcha thinking about?" Sodo asked suddenly.

"N-nothing much, really," Camo stuttered. "Trying to figure out how I got here. How we got here."

"Uh, we walked here together, remember?" Sodo reminded him. "I told you this a while ago. How come you keep forgetting how we got here? Something up?"

"I have a lot of things on my mind, and I just can't concentrate right now. But enough about me. What are you wondering?"

"I'm just, uh, enjoying the view," Sodo answered quietly.

"Yeah, the park does look very, um, beautiful today," added Camo. "So does the lake, hehe. I can see my reflection on the water."

"Yeah, this place is pretty nice," Sodo said. "But it's not as beautiful as you."

Camo blushed a bit. "Um, thank you. That is really nice of you to say."

"No problem."

Camo didn't really know what to say afterwards. Sodo actually just called him beautiful. The possum was so flattered that not even a proper breath of odorless air could escape his trembling mouth. His foot repeatedly tapped the surface of the boat, similar to how Peb tapped his foot on the carpet floor hours earlier when he was waiting for an answer to his question. His eyes glanced up at the hyena's face and down at his own tapping foot, which Sodo used to deduce that something was obviously wrong.

"Now, I'm no mind reader or anything like that, but I'm pretty sure that you're very, um, nervous," claimed Sodo. "If you have anything to get off of your chest, besides that shirt of yours, then just tell me what's up."

Camo didn't respond in any way. He continued tapping his foot, and the only difference that was made in his behavior was that his eyes were more focused on Sodo's eyes. Although the possum really wanted to explain what was wrong to Sodo, he just couldn't bring himself to do it. This decision alone was easier to make back when he and Sodo had breakfast together in early evening, but now things were different since Camo was really confused and clammed up all at the same time.

"Is it about the corgi by any chance?" Sodo asked. "I mean, I'm not assuming anything, but ever since you lost to that dude, you've been acting just a bit different."

"Y-yeah, I still haven't gotten o-over that loss yet," Camo finally spoke. His stomach felt really nervous and he felt like he was about to lose it. "It just makes me so mad at myself for losing to something that is way smaller than I am. Imagine that, Sodo? Imagine that…"

"Mhm, I understand where you're getting at," Sodo told him. "I lost to him too, but I didn't let one bad thing make me feel like such a downer. I felt the same way a bit, but with time, I got over it. Geez, that corgi broke your ego harder than I could break your back."

"Um, what do you mean by that?" Camo asked with curiosity.

"You know what I mean," Sodo laughed. The hyena blushed a tiny bit.

"I just need to relax. Get my mind off things. I'm glad I can talk to you about my issues, I think."

"No problem, dude," Sodo said.

"I'm deeply sorry if my behavior has been bothering you…"

"It's okay."

"It's just I, I don't know, I can't think straight."

"Exactly."

Sodo leaned up a bit towards Camo's face. He trailed a finger below the possum's furry chin. "You know, you don't have to apologize for anything," Sodo explained. "It's not your fault you feel this way. I just hope I can help you feel better about yourself." The hyena tugged onto Camo's buttoned shirt and began to pull Camo's face closer to his.

"Uh, Sodo, what are you-"

But he was interrupted, as Sodo's lips had hastily met Camo's. They both joined together in a wonderful kiss. Camo blushed heavily and was completely shocked by Sodo's actions, while Sodo only pressed in to the kiss, admiring the tender moment between the two of them.

"IS THIS REALLY HAPPENING?" Camo asked himself in his head. "WHY IS HE DOING THIS? HOW IS THIS HAPPENING AT ALL? WHAT DO I DO?"

Camo pushed Sodo back. "Why did you do that?!" Camo loudly asked the hyena in front of him.

"You needed to relax, and I figured you needed this," Sodo said. "Besides, why are you bothered by this? We do this all the time, and you never say a thing."

"What do you mean?!"

"You don't remember?"

"Of course I don't remember!" Camo exclaimed. "I feel as if I'm in some weird world right now. And you're making me more anxious!" The possum took a moment to calm down. "I'm straight, Sodo."

"At least I think I'm straight," Camo thought. "I have to be, there's no way that I'm not… right?"

"Well, so is spaghetti, until it, you know…"

Sodo splashed some of the water onto Camo's face.

"...gets wet. And, I don't mean to brag or anything, but I, uh, do a pretty good job at making you feel that way, hehe."

Camo wiped the water off of his burning red face. His mind was aflutter from the words Sodo spoke and the actions the hyena did. "Oh, I remember the spaghetti," Camo thought in his mind. "The dinner we had earlier…"

"Have we done something like this before?" Camo asked the hyena out of curiosity.

"Um, yes, we have," answered Sodo. "Why does this moment bother you all of a sudden? I thought you enjoyed doing this with me."

"I don't know, i-it's just, I feel like I've forgotten everything that has ever happened to me, after what you just did," Camo elaborated. "It's hard to think about…"

"Yeah, I bet," Sodo winked. Camo chuckled a little at this.

"I'm sorry for freaking out like that," Camo apologized quietly. "I don't remember doing anything like this at all with you ever in my life."

"Well, you think you could try remembering?" asked Sodo. "Maybe the reader could help you remember."

"The who? Look, I don't think I'd be able to remember even if I tried," Camo told him.

"Okay, Camo, you have to relax," Camo told himself. "What Sodo did was unexpected, I know, but maybe this isn't such a bad thing, so long as you don't make it out to be a bad thing. You can't knock something until you try it, right? Maybe this'll be alright. Maybe all will be well. Just let whatever happen, and play along so we don't make fools out of ourselves."

Camo took a deep breath and leaned in towards Sodo so he could kiss him back. The possum wanted to make sure that he was alright with this going on, especially in the unfamiliar situation he was set in. He didn't think about anything else happening around him, or things that have happened in the past. All he was focused on was Sodo. The possum gently embraced the hyena into his arms as they continued their moment of love. Everything was calmly settled as the two pressed into the kiss they shared with each other.

A moment later, the two concluded their embrace.

"Wow, that felt, pretty wonderful actually," Camo spoke truthfully. He was surprised these words were coming out of his mouth. However, he was glad to feel different for a change. He actually felt better than he did beforehand. Never would Camo have thought that he would feel relaxed in kissing a close friend of his.

"Are you feeling more relaxed now?" asked Sodo concerningly. The hyena appeared to be worried about how Camo was feeling, since the possum had been freaking out the whole time they were there. Sodo didn't want any more aggressive and surprising outbursts coming from his friend.

"I feel...right?" Camo answered. "I kid you not, I'm not sure what to say, really. I mean, it felt nice." The possum gave Sodo a warm smile. Camo felt as if he told his feelings to Sodo truthfully, but he wasn't sure if he really was telling the truth, so he decided to keep quiet for a while.

"If you are feeling better, then that's good," Sodo told him. "I was asking since, you know, you've been panicking and I thought I was doing something wrong. Sorry if I got a bit carried away."

"No, it's fine," Camo responded. "Everything is, um, fine."

"So what now?" asked Sodo.

"Well, what do you want to do?" the possum asked back.

"You want to just, uh, continue what we were doing?"

"Sure, so long as you're into it, hehe."

The hyena laughed back. Camo and Sodo looked at each other, waiting to see who was going to make the first move. They both leaned in closer to each other at the same time, preparing for their next embrace. Camo placed his arms around Sodo's body, and Sodo did the same. As their faces got closer to each other's, they proceeded to close their eyes for their next kiss.

Camo intended to proceed his kiss with Sodo, but apparently he had woken up. It turns out the possum was smooching his own pillow. He bursted up wide awake, heavily sweating after what just happened.

"It was all a dream?" Camo asked himself. "Oh thank goodness. I thought all that actually happened. That was CRAZY. I mean, it was wonderful, but still, everything was just all happening so fast..."

Camo was unable to rest for the duration of the night. He checked the time and saw that it was one in the morning. His thoughts were all over the place, and he was too energetic to go back to sleep. How come he couldn't stop thinking about Sodo?

"This is gonna be one long night," Camo sighed to himself.
