Where going to be apprentices! Where going to be apprentices! Flamekit meowed excitedly, dancing around sparkpelts paws. Finally Flamekit and Finchkit had finally reached six moons of age and it was time for them to join Baypaw and Myrtlepaw in the apprentice den.
There was that sense of relief in Sparkpelt. Leaving behind the bitter memories that haunt her trying to push the thoughts of Larksong and Flickerkit in the back of her mind now was the time for Finchkit and Flamekit to watch them grow up into proud warriors of Thunderclan.

Flamekit knew that she was thinking of there father Larksong and brother Flickerkit how they would never be there to see there ceremonies. Flamekit tried not to think of Flickerkit or Larksong he couldn't imagine how Sparkpelt must of felt after there deaf. Sparkpelt hadn't told him much about there father just that he was a black tom like Flamekit and had blue eyes like Finchkit and that he would have loved them and continues to watch them from StarClan.
Bramblestar cleared his throat "today we have among us two new apprentices Finchkit and Flamekit" the brown tabby's voiced boomed out The two kits stepped forward Flamekit could tell that even Finchkit was excited taping her claws nervously.

The clan began to disperse back to their regular activities as Finchpaw and Flamepaw bounded off beginning to make their nests for the apprentice den. " Well well well look who's finally an apprentice" Baypaw's yellow eyes glimmered from inside the apprentice den " Great to finally be out of the nursery" Finchpaw responded " how do you feel about your mentor's?" Myrtlepaw joined in poking her head out of the den.
" I'm happy with cinderheart i hope that i can be just as good a apprentice and make her as proud as Ivypool." " I hope that Lilyheart is a good mentor she's never had a apprentice but she's a experienced warrior" Flamepaw replied as he wove the branches together to make his nest.
