Flamepaw's point of view

The apprentices set of north of the lake the group decided to let Wrenpaw and Applepaw take the lead Flamepaw questioned why they let someone as violent and that had as much angst as Applepaw lead but the rest of the group voted for Applepaw so she took the lead.

Flamepaw walked along side Splashpaw and Fogpaw who he had learn at the gathering that their parents Sneezecloud and Havenpelt were expecting a second litter of kits.

" Flamepaw why do you look so thin?" Fogpaw asked walking along side him Flamepaw hadn't noticed before but compared to the two RiverClan apprentices the black apprentice was almost as thin as the WindClan apprentices.

" ThunderClan's been struggling to keep up with hunting and our large population so we haven't had that much two eat"

" Ya ThunderClan is huge you have like a ton of cats their" Splashpaw chimed in " I wouldn't be able to remember everyone's names" Fogpaw added.

Finchpaw was walking along side Baypaw and Myrtlepaw specifically close to Baypaw not helping to disprove his theory of her being in to Baypaw

The apprentices were traveling along the RiverClan stream that was now frozen over heading downstream underneath the Towleg bridge.

The stream fanned out into many smaller streams across a vast field of reeds with a large wooded forest two the east and a group of Twoleg dens to the north.

" Alright wear do you think we should go?" Applepaw asked " Well i don't think going into Twoleg place is a good idea so the forest seems like a better idea" Wrenpaw chimed in " Who else agrees?" The rest of the apprentices nodded in agreement including Flamepaw not wanting to risk being scene by Twolegs.

Following Applepaw and Wrenpaw Flame walked along side The two RiverClan apprentices as they stalked into the forest.

The forest looked very similar to the forest of ThunderClan with many oak and birch trees surrounded by large clumps of fern and bracken a large river cut through the woods so big it was still flowing despite the cold weather.

" Wonder why RiverClan never uses this river to hunt" Flamepaw overheard Fogpaw say to Splashpaw " Ya its weird Mistystar probably doesn't even know its hear" The brown tabby tom responded.

The apprentices continued walking along the river edge Applepaw, Woodpaw Songpaw, and Flutterpaw where talking amongst themselves Rootpaw was quietly taking in the sight and Wrenpaw was talking with Finchpaw, Baypaw, and Myrtlepaw.

" We should go hunting i'm famished" Flutterpaw commented " Ya that sounds like a great idea" Woodpaw agreed with the brown and white apprentice agreed with his clan mate " Lets go hunting"

The apprentices began to split of around the forest to hunt Flamepaw went with Finchpaw, Baypaw, and Myrtlepaw stalking through the undergrowth Flamepaw's green eyes locked onto a squirrel sitting on a large aspen root drawing in a deep breath Flamepaw launched himself swiftly killing the squirrel with a bite to the neck.

Myrtlepaw had caught a lark and was eating it well Finchpaw and Baypaw both caught jays after finishing his squirrel Flamepaw went back into the woods and saw a thrush on a tree branch stalking quietly Flamepaw leapt onto the tree branch swiftly killing the thrush before digging into its flesh.

Biting into the thrush Flamepaw couldn't help but think his clan mates and how they were only aloud to eat one piece of pray a day how he felt so good to finally properly feel full to not feel the pain of hunger all day.

The rest of the apprentices had come back with their pray and where digging into their pray.

Flamepaw had finished both his kills and had sat down to rest when he heard loud paw steps coming from the undergrowth he knew instantly what it was to loud to be a cat, fox, or badger it was the wolf the attacked him on a hunting patrol.

Applepaw's point of view

" Everyone get out of here now the wolf is coming" Flamepaw rushed to his feet before bounding of towards the river Applepaw looked up confused as she finished eating the mouse she caught when she made out a large shape hurtling towards them threw the under bush.

" Run!" Wrenpaw shouted.

Panic rushed throughout Applepaw's body the yellow tabby apprentice froze still unable to move at the sight of the large wolf charging towards her until Adrenalin took over a she bolted across the forest as fast a her legs could take her rushing into the undergrowth followed behind swiftly by Songpaw, Splashpaw, and Rootpaw.

The wolf crashed through the undergrowth its dark yellow eyes raging with fury its gigantic jaws snapping at the apprentices as Applepaw frantically with the other apprentices Applepaws blue eyes spotted a large bracken thicket that looked like a good place to hide.

" Everyone hide in that bracken thicket" Applepaw shouted sprinting as fast as she could being the first one to dart into the bracken followed behind shortly by Woodpaw and Flutterpaw the wolf charged towards the bracken as Baypaw, Songpaw, Flamepaw, Wrenpaw, and Rootpaw ducked into the bracken.

Finchpaw, Flamepaw and Myrtlepaw dived into the bracken leaving just the two RiverClan apprentices Splashpaw and Fogpaw the wolf was almost upon them all that Applepaw could do was watch with baited breath as they charged towards the bracken.

Splashpaw reached the bracken thicket first the brown tabby tom exploded into the bracken crashing into Rootpaw all that was left was Fogpaw who was almost at the thicket when the wolf caught up to her.

Applepaw could only watch in horror as the wolf barred its gigantic jaws down on Fogpaw's leg the gray and white she-cat screamed in pain as the wolf thrashed Fogpaw around like she was nothing but a mouse trying to pull Fogpaw out of the undergrowth finally Applepaw's instinct kicked in even if she hated the other clans she couldn't let a innocent apprentice die in front of her.

Applepaw slashed at the wolfs muzzle the momentary distraction let Fogpaw slip away into the bracken thicket.

" Oh my StarClan Fogpaw are you okay!" Splashpaw rushed to his sisters aid " Ya i'm okay it just hurts really bad" Applepaw looked down to see a large nasty gash along Fogpaw's leg blood gushing from the wound.

The wolf clawed at the bracken trying to get at the cats it wouldn't be long until it got trough.

" Fox dung now what are we gonna do!?" Baypaw cursed under his breath " That tree over their we can climb up that" Wrenpaw pointed to a large pine tree about five fox lengths away " How i'm i supposed to clime that with my leg?" Fogpaw cried out all the apprentices stood silently until Myrtlepaw answered " two cats will have to carry you up who wants to do that" " All do it" Splashpaw volunteered " All do it two" Flamepaw volunteered to.

" Alright on the count of three we all make a run for the pine tree and no matter what don't look back" Wrenpaw yowled.

" Three Two One now" Applepaw shot forward even with being exhausted from the first chase her Adrenalin kept her moving forward she could her the wolfs paw steps behind her but taking Wrenpaw's advice she didn't look back as she slammed into the pine tree.

leaping onto the pine bark Applepaw began to clime although she had never climbed a tree in her life her adrenaline let her push her self up until she mad it to the branches.

The yellow tabby she cat was past by Wrenpaw and Rootpaw obviously being SkyClan cats and having excellent climbing skills as well as the ThunderClan apprentices minus Flamepaw who was helping Fogpaw up with Splashpaw.

Reaching the branches Applepaw struggled to steady herself knowing if she fell she wouldn't get back up the tree.

The rest of the WindClan apprentices haled themselves up the tree onto the branches the last ones up where Flamepaw and Splashpaw caring up Fogpaw by the scruff narrowly avoiding the wolfs jaws.

Panting heavily Applepaw starred down at the wolf snarling at them the ground " What on earth have a gotten myself into."
