Flamestorm's point of view
Life had managed to fall back into some sense of normality since Flamestorm received his warrior name and he and the other apprentices had been allowed to leave camp had been even if prey was still scares ThunderClan generally had enough pray even if they had to to quadruple hunting patrols it made caused Flamestorm to be exhausted from hunting twice a day but he knew it was what was best for the clan.
Right now he was on his second hunting patrol of the day with Leafshade, Whitewing, Fernsong, Bumblestripe, Rosepetal, Snaptooth Flywhisker, Thriftear, Shellfur Brackenfur, and Bramblestar.
Normally elders wouldn't hunt but Brackenfur insisted that he help with the prey crisis so he came along to hunt.
So far the patrol had done very bad only managing to get nine prey items not nearly enough combined with the other patrols it wasn't nearly enough to feed the clan.
" Bramblestar we've been hunting all day" Whitewing panted " Ya and we've only caught nine pieces of prey we should really head back to camp" Rosepetal wined " I agree i feel like my legs are gonna give in" Bumblestripe agreed.
" Silence!" Bramblestar's deep voice cut through Flamestorm's body " We need to provide enough prey for ThunderClan Cherryfall, Waspkit, Aspenkit, and the elders are counting on us"
" I agree that this is very important" Brackenfur nodded his head in agreement.
" But we've looked through the hole territory and this is all we could fined were are we gonna fined prey" Snaptooth questioned Bramblestar's amber eyes fell to the ground clearly thinking of a tough decision " Well we could always hunt on SkyClan's territory" The dark brown tabby tom flicked his tail towards the pine forest that marked the border with SkyClan.
A chores of angry protest erupted from the patrol " We can't do that" Flywhisker snapped " That's against the warrior code" Thriftear cried " They need that food for themselves" Brackenfur roared Flamestorm sat quietly not wanting to argue with his leader " You have to do this for your clan if not then your not going back to camp until we get enough food."
Reluctantly Flamestorm followed the patrol heading into SkyClan's pine forest Flamestorm couldn't believe it compared to ThunderClan's prey supply SkyClan was full of prey winter birds were fluttering above the trees mice scampering in their burrows even a rabbit was nibbling on some dead flowers.
Flamestorm began to hunt crouching on all fours the black cat drew in a deep breath before pouncing on the mouse killing it with a bite to the neck.
Flamestorm padded over to the fresh kill pile before going of to hunt some more they already caught eight more pieces of pray including the rabbit caught by Flywhisker.
" Great catch Flywhisker the elders are really gonna enjoy that" Brackenfur complemented his granddaughter as he prepared to hunt Flamestorm heard a rustling coming from the bushes the other ThunderClan warriors heard it to everyone knew what it was backing up into a defensive circle fur bristling.
" Brackenfur head to camp and get help i don't want you fighting" Bramblestar yowled the golden brown tabby nodded and raced of as fast as his old legs could go being surprisingly fast for an elder.
Flamestorm clawed at the ground waiting for the inevitable then it happened as Flamestorm heard a yowl " SkyClan attack!."
Wrenpaw's point of view
" What a lovely evening" Wrenpaw thought to herself she and Rootpaw's punishment was now over and they were on their first patrol since grounding along with Rabbitleap, Dewspring, Reedclaw, Needlepaw, Turtlecrawl, Sunnypelt, and Plumwillow.
Walking along the ThunderClan border Wrenpaw was overjoyed to breath in the fresh air of the forest even if it was dead and to hear the birds chirping out in the forest and to feel the earth beneath her paws.
Wrenpaw walked along side Rabbitleap walking along the large ravine that SkyClan's stream flowed through although now it was empty do to lack of water and was covered in Sharp jagged rocks.
" Hay what was that?" Turtlecrawl questioned " I heard it to" said Dewspring " It sounds like it came from the edge of the territory" Wrenpaw swiveled her ears towards the bushes that marked the edge of SkyClan's territory a loud rodent shriek cut through the air.
" That's strange i thought that we have any hunting patrols out now" Sunnypelt questioned " We don't have any hunting patrols out now" Plumwillow pointed out
" Do you think its a hawk or a fox or maybe a badger?" Reedclaw asked " Don't be a mouse brain Plumwillow its obviously ThunderClan hunting on are territory" Needlepaw growled " Bunch of mouse dung thieving fox hearted mangy rat ridden kitty pet rouges! " Needlepaw cursed under her breath.
" This is unacceptable we have to teach those ThunderClan cats a lesson" Rabbitleap yowled " All cats in agreement raise your paws" One by one each cat in the patrol raised their paws except for Wrenpaw and Rootpaw Wrenpaw hated fighting always trying to avoid inter clan squabbles even things like listing to Plumwillow and Fallowfern arguing about which tom from a other clan that they though was the father of Pigeonfoot's kits made her uncomfortable.
Wrenpaw followed the patrol silently through the undergrowth Wrenpaw could make out the shape of cats they appeared to be hunting as a large pile of fresh kill was sitting in the clearing.
" Alright ready" Rabbitleap whispered " On the count of three we pounce at the ThunderClan cats" Wrenpaw drew in breath waiting for the signal " Three two one SkyClan attack!"
Wrenpaw flew out of the bushes golden tabby pelt a bluer unfortunately despite being quite the ThunderClan patrol had heard them coming and were already formed into a defensive position Wrenpaw slammed into the ground all around her cats were fighting Wrenpaw caught sight Rabbitleap fighting Snaptooth Sunnypelt fighting Flywhisker Reedclaw fighting Thriftear and Needlepaw and Rootpaw fighting Shellfur.
Wrenpaw lunged at the tortoiseshell tom clawing of large clumps of fur off his back well Needlepaw and Rootpaw batted his muzzle Shellfur yowled in pain easily shaking Wrenpaw from his pelt sending her tumbling onto the ground.
Wrenpaw staggered to her feet Shellfur grabbed Rootpaw by the leg dossing him to the ground Rootpaw yowled in pain Needlepaw lunged onto Shellfur's head biting down on his ear Wrenpaw rolled to dodge as Turtlecrawl was slammed to the ground by Bramblestar " What was Bramblestar doing on a hunting patrol" Wrenpaw thought to herself but her thoughts were interrupted by Rabbitleap.
Her fathers brown pelt was covered in blood from fighting with Snaptooth his amber eyes gleaming with distress " Wrenpaw were outnumbered head to camp and get help!" He order " But but" Wrenpaw tried to interject but was cut off " No buts about it Wrenpaw get going now!" Suddenly Snaptooth lunged from the bush tackling Rabbitleap to the ground the sight of Rabbitleap her father on the ground as Snaptooth clawed at his belly pushed Wrenpaw's legs into movement as she darted of for SkyClan's camp.
The forest was a bluer as the golden tabby ran every part of Wrenpaw's body burned as she ran but knowing that her clan mates were in trouble pushed her on " Almost their almost back at camp" Wrenpaw panted the familiar sight of the four tall pines that surrounded the camp came into view.
The camp entrance came into view Wrenpaw's lungs felt like they were going to burst but she knew she just had to make it to the camp finally she made it to the camp entrance.
Wrenpaw burst into camp finally coming to the stop in the clearing cats began to swarm around her all of them asking questions " Wrenpaw great StarClan oh Wrenpaw are you ok what happened to you?!" Bellaleaf rushed to Wrenpaw her green eyes were flushed with worry " Everybody out of the way" Hawkwing growled followed by Leafstar " Wrenpaw what happened were is the patrol'?" The SkyClan deputy questioned.
" Hu hu ThunderClan patrol attacked us near the border send help" Was all tat Wrenpaw was able to slur out before collapsing to the ground from exhaustion " What!" Leafstar's voice was filled with worry " Alright Hawkwing, Gravelnose, Palesky Quailfeather, Sandynose, Bellaleaf, Sparrowpelt, and Tinycloud go and help the patrol i'm coming to" Leafstar's voice was old but firm,
" i'm coming to" Wrenpaw staggered up to her feet " No Wrenpaw you've done your job of alerting us of the ThunderClan attack you stay here and rest" Leafstar bounded out through the camp entrance along with the backup patrol leaving Wrenpaw and the thew remaining cats to sit in camp.
" I cant believe it how dare ThunderClan do something like that" Pigeonfoot growled " I know its unbelievable" Macgyver agreed sitting beside Fringewhisker their pelts brushing against each other.
" Whats happened?" Fallowfern padded out of the elders den
" A ThunderClan patrol attack are border patrol Wrenpaw rushed back to warn us" Nettlesplash signed to his mother Fallowfern turned to Wrenpaw
" How very brave of you Wrenpaw" Fallowfern praised Wrenpaw gave a polite nod as she caught her breath as the paw steps of the patrol faded into the dusk.
" I hope their okay" Wrenpaw thought to herself amber eyes glowing into the darkness.
Flamestorm's point of view
Flamestorm charged at Sunnypelt along with Thriftear Sunnypelt rolled to dodge swiping Flywhisker in the muzzle the striped she-cat yowled in pain as Flamestorm raked the ginger cats exposed belly.
Flamestorm felt a surge of pain a Sunnypelt slashed him on the leg the black toms leg gave in as he fell to the ground thankfully Flywhisker used the opening to pounce on Sunnypelt biting down on her shoulder causing her to yowl in pain.
All of a sudden a powerful force slammed into Flamestorm knocking the black tom to the ground Flamestorm looked up to see a black and white cat on top of him who he recognized as Palesky the black and white she-cat slashed him across the muzzle blood spatted across the forest floor looking around Flamestorm saw more cats then before a second SkyClan patrol had arrived.
Flamestorm tried to retaliate swiping at her muzzle but Palesky easily dodged biting him on the leg bleeding heavily all Flamestorm could do was put his paws up to defend as Palesky slashed at him.
Just as Flamestorm was about to signal defeat when he saw the dark brown pelt of Sorrelstripe pounce onto Palesky the SkyClan warrior screeched in pain trying to shake Sorrelstripe of her pelt " Quick Flamestorm run" As Sorrelstripe grappled with Palesky Flamestorm darted across the battlefield.
Flamestorm saw Birchfall and Tinycloud grappling near the stream Fernsong chasing after Quailfeather and Flywhisker and Sunnypelt still fighting.
Flamestorm was suddenly knocked over as he saw Rosepetal and Sparrowpelt crashing into the ground rolling into the rocky stream.
Jagged rocks stabbed into Flamestorm's pelt blood trickling out of the wounds Rosepetal and Sparrowpelt both got stabbed by the pointed stones as well drops of red stained the stream bed Flamestorm watched as more cats tumbled into the ridge among them he saw Finchsong and Myrtleflower fighting with Hawkwing.
Flamestorm rushed to them but was knocked out of the way by Leafstar and Bramblestar fighting both cats heavily bloody from fighting and the pointed rocks, Leafstar reared up on her back legs and slashed Bramblestar on the chest Bramblestar retaliated with a bite to the muzzle.
Flamestorm watched in horror as Leafstar barreled into Bramblestar knocking him to the ground pushing him directly into the rocks Bramblestar yowled as he bleed out that yowl stopped the fighting as everyone watched as Bramblestar's body went limp and his amber eye turned cooled Leafstar's eyes went wide with horror at killing a fellow leader.
" SkyClan retreat!" Leafstar yowled limping away followed by the rest of SkyClan " ThunderClan retreat" Squirrelflight yowled dragging Bramblestar's body away Flamestorm limped of hoping that no one else was hurt green eyes glowing with sadness and fear.
Wrenpaw's point of view
" Their back o thank StarClan your back" Wrenpaw cried the patrol limped back into camp looking sad and concerned.
" What happened" Frecklewish and Fidgetflake rushed to the injured cats looking worried.
" Its Leafstar and Bramblestar they both lost a life" Hawkwing replied sadly.
" Lost a life how many lives dose she have left now" Fidgetflake asked " Only two" Leafstar appeared from the den looking tiered still recovering from losing a life.
Wrenpaw looked into the night " Tomorrows the gathering" Wrenpaw though to herself " Its gonna be ugly."
