The minor rewrite is finished, I think it made the story a lot better in general and helped with pacing.
Here's a short recap of what changed.
Blacksmith Subclass
Sentinel name changed to Abel
Those are pretty much the major things.
So far I've gotten positive feedback from the rewrite so that's fun.
Without further to do, enjoy! Nothing belongs to me with the exception of my OC.
Salem POV
Nearly all of my plans have been completely destroyed..
It's a good thing that many high-quality huntsmen in training have been killed, and an even better thing that so many pivotal leaders and thorns in my side have been killed.
But the downside is that Cinder has died and that I am now in possession of no maidens, that being on top of the fact nearly all my plans have ben ruined.
And all this because of one boy. Cain Obsidian.
I've gotten Arthur to dig up every file he could on the boy yet he found barely anything. Some orphan in Vale that eventually joined Beacon. That's it, apart from the video that was on every news station in the world.. It's as if he was a ghost.
Beacon would have had more information on him.. but Beacon is gone for good now.
Cinder should have told me of him earlier.. She always was far too arrogant, believing she could solve everything herself, it was her one fatal flaw. It's a shame really, I was quite fond or the girl. And apart from Cinder, he also killed Adam Taurus, Roman Torchwick and his bodyguard Neo Politan.
I've seen the battle for myself, and it was.. disturbing to say the least. First of all, he absolutely decimated everyone he came across including the silver eyed girl using some monstrous transformation. I couldn't be sure without seeing it myself, but his power may be as strong as mine or Omza's before he granted it to the maidens and those twins. That was interesting in and of itself, but the truly worrying thing is that his 'semblance' seems far closer to magic, more specifically, the magic used by the God of Darkness and Destruction.
Tch. I couldn't help but show the anger on my face, thinking about those two old bastards always angered me.
But still, the similarity of their powers was uncanny, it was something that had to be taken note of. Perhaps the deity had sent his own champion to speed collecting the relics up? That was extremely unlikely but the theory still had to be taken into consideration.
I believe it would be worth meeting him myself.. I don't truly understand his motivations but I believe he is similar to me in the sense that he wishes for the destruction of humanity. Perhaps I could even turn him to my side, or at the very least ally with him.
But that is unlikely. After he killed young Cinder during her speech, he picked up her scroll and said he would kill anyone who sided with me or Ozma.
It's clear to me dear old Ozma wouldn't allow someone as unstable as him into his group. So how would he know who I am?
I truly hate being in the dark like this.. I suppose it's settled then, I'll meet him myself and kill him if it comes down to that.
I exited my private quarters then proceeded to walk into my board room and sit on my throne. I had already called back my most important followers after the incident at Beacon.
I saw as Tyrian gave his usual psychotic smile whilst Arthur and Hazel kept their indifferent faces. I suppose everything is in the norm for them.
"Tyrian, Arthur, I need you to find the location of the individual known as Cain Obsidian. Naturally you will both search through your own areas of expertise. Once you have found him, inform me and make sure to track him. Whatever you do, do not confront him." I know Arthur would never do something as insane as that, but Tyrian on the other hand..
"Yes, my queen! It will be done!" Tyrian said proceeding to give a mad cackle lasting a few seconds. In all honesty, it was getting extremely annoying whenever he did that, but even a monster such as myself couldn't berate him after the absolute loyalty he showed.
I turned my head to Arthur and he gave a simple nod.
I suppose I have to go back to planning now don't I?
Cain POV
It's been nearly a day now and Vale is in absolute havoc, and all the negative emotions are attracting countless Grimm.
Like seriously, everything has gone to shit, especially with the Wyvern flying around destroying everything.
I could stop it, but I won't, it keeps huntsmen and the military busy and stops them from tracking me. Plus I just enjoy the bloodshed and anarchy in general.
I'm pretty pissed that someone managed to escape my slaughter and STILL had the guts to report my identity. If I ever find them, I'm going to rip their throat out.
None of this would have been a problem if I hadn't strained myself so much.
[Extreme Mana Exhaustion
-95% Mana Regen
-90% Spell Damage
-90% Vitality
1 day, 19 hours and 13 minutes till effect wears off. Effect wears off if host sleeps for a full day.]
I'm really god damn tired and pretty vulnerable, even with my scales my reduced vitality means that I'm much more likely to die after taking a lot of damage.
So now I have to hide and scurry around live a mole-man. I've been wearing the cloak of the night which I obtained from stopping Cinder from sabotaging the CCTS, and boy has it come in handy.
[Epic Item - Cloak of the Night
200% Stealth increase
People are 30% less likely to remember you even if they do see you
Cameras do not pick you up whatsoever]
In other words, I can move around freely as long as I'm slightly cautious.
The current plan for now is to make it to the docks and steal a ship. Then I'll go to Mistral, kidnap Raven, use her to get the Relic of Choice, and kill her.
The hardest part of all that is actually sailing the ship.
Meh~ I'll figure it out.
As I was walking a Grimm tried to attack me, I simply pierced it with my rapier.
Seriously man, that must have been like the thousandth beowulf I've had to kill on this journey.
I took a minute to look around to check if everything was safe and hopped on the roof of a dilapidated building.
Okay.. I think that it's about time I read all the windows I've been ignoring.
As I thought that, numerous blue screens popped up in front of me.
Okay, lets see.
[Free Flight
A skill gained by all mage like classes after reaching level 75
100 mana per second]
[By achieving level 50, you have unlocked the Party System!
Others can join your party and game benefits and level up with you!]
[Remote Magic
A skill gained by all mage like classes after reaching level 50
Create magic attacks far away from yourself.]
[NUKE
A skill created from your own efforts.
Detonates a huge explosion at your position.
75% Mana required.]
[Through all the death you have caused you have gained
132,000,000 Lien]
Alright, that's pretty nice. Especially the flight.
The party system is absolutely useless considering I'd never share my power with anyone. It's an all-round stupid decision to reveal my powers. I seriously doubt I'll use it but I guess it's nice to have?
The Lien is kinda useless considering I'm a wanted criminal in every kingdom, I doubt many people are gonna willingly take my money.
Guess that also means I don't have to steal a boat. I just need to get rid of that godforsaken debuff so that my mana regen beats the mana intake to get to Mistral.
Abel, can I 'equip' the silver eyes?
[Yeah.]
I suddenly felt a hollow feeling in my face which was gone a moment later.
[Silver Eyes (Corrupt)
Eyes belonging to the silver eyed warriors, heroes who fought the endless tide of darkness.
Due to your actions, the eyes have become 'corrupt' and now harm more than simply Grimm.
When activated, eyes briefly flash an extreme light.
High damage to anything considered an enemy.
Even higher damage to those who can be considered as good 'good/heroic/holy/pure/light'.
Lower damage to anyone considered 'bad/evil/unholy/corrupt/dark'.
2500 Mana per second of activation.]
I think.. that those will be quite useful. Much more useful than anticipated.
That feeling of hollowness was horrible though.. I hope I never have to 'switch' eyes again.
[Dojutsu.]
Fuck you.
Anyway, I believe that there is one last thing to do.
I pulled out my book of Norse Mythology and started reading.
Winter Schnee POV
How in the hell did things end up like this?
I almost died in that blast.. If it weren't for my knight protecting me.. I would've ended up like everyone else.
I sighed to myself and thought about my injuries, my left arm and leg had been obliterated. I only survived because I managed to make an emergency call and I was saved.
I had recently made it back to Atlas using Atlas's fastest ship.
First, I'll get my body fixed with the greatest prosthetics, second... I'll become the Winter Maiden, and third... I'll protect Atlas.
And If I can, I'll avenge everyone who died to that monster.
Cain POV

(A/N Yeah... as you can see.. our boy Cain is gonna decimate Remnant and leave.)
Well god damn..
I can already feel my power multiplying many times over..
I guess I really lucked out again didn't I?
Also, shouldn't a dragon or even a part dragon have better stats than what I have? What I'm trying to say is shouldn't the multipliers be higher?
[Nidhogg's blood has been heavily diluted. Basically, you are 90% human and 10% Serpent. If you were 100% dragon the multiplier would be much higher.]
Right, show me my status then.

Alright alright that's enough! Chill out with those screens, I don't care alright? They're all pretty much the same anyway.
I saw around 10 perk achievement screens in front of me and deleted them all.
As for the relic of choice, there isn't much point wearing it as all it does is give me random uncontrollable visions of the future, which is something I'd rather not see.
Anyway, I think it's safe to go wreak havoc, after all I have 35 million mana and crazy ass stats.
Boy am I gonna have some fun in Mistral. Guess it's time to fly.
Raven Branwen
The past few days have been... rough.
Despite everything, I still held some love for Yang, to learn she had died to a fellow student/monster had been... unfortunate to say the least.
I sighed to myself and reminded myself that I had a tribe to lead and that as the leader I had to show no weakness.
I tried to distract myself by sharpening my sword on my whetstone.
For a few seconds I managed to forget my troubles and concentrated on the sound my sword made when hitting the whetstone.
A moment later, the entrance to my tent opened and Vernal walked through with a look of worry on her face.
"Is there something wrong Vernal?"
"Y-yes. A man wearing a cloak and mask has walked into the base. He knocked out the guards and effortlessly knocked out two more people who tried to fight him." Vernal tried hiding the anxiousness on her face but to anyone who knew her it was obvious.
"...Fine, I'll deal with it."
It's just been one thing after another these past few days hasn't it?
I put on my mask and walked outside.
I looked towards the intruder and saw a man wearing a mask with lines going down it with a purple dot in the middle. He wore a black cloak and black clothes. Most worryingly was the human face with mint hair on his waist.
"Raven Branwen.. I'd like to talk." He said with a completely monotone voice.
"And what would you like to talk about?" I said showing no emotion either.
"...I would like to make a deal."
I tried sensing the man's aura to judge his strength. I felt nothing coming from him.
Strange... he must have unlocked his aura to easily beat 4 tribe members, I concentrated more and realised him aura was being hidden by the mask he was wearing.
Judging by his physique, he should be powerful.. It's not worth starting an avoidable fight for now.
"..Fine. Come in." I didn't bother hiding my displeasure of the whole situation.
I walked back inside my tent and waited a few seconds for the visitor.
I signalled for him to sit down on the mat.
"Well, I'd like to hear this deal of yours."
In a completely deadpan voice he said, "I plan on destroying Haven Academy, I want your help in getting the relic."
I couldn't help but ask the obvious, "Are you insane? Attacking an Academy is tantamount to suicide, even more so now with the extra security after what happened at Vale. And I'm afraid I have no clue what a relic is." I feigned shock and confusion.
"... Don't play games with me. I know that you're the Spring Maiden and that Vernal is nothing more than a decoy. And as for attacking the academy, that's not something you have to worry about. All you need to do is open the vault." He stated in a matter of fact tone.
I grit my teeth and said "How did you find out? And what would I get?"
He raised his hand and a crown suddenly appeared... Is this his semblance, summoning objects?
Wait, that crown.. It was a gilded crown emitting a blue hue.
"You know what this is, correct? You know what it does as well. That is how I found out. And for your reward.. It's simple. You live."
A chill ran down my spine as he said those last words. But more importantly, the fact he had that crown means that ... he was the one to attack Beacon.
He took of his mask and revealed an amused expression.
That's him... he's the one who killed Yang.
"Listen Raven.. I can see the gears clicking in your head, so before you do anything rash, consider that the following decision decides your fate."
He's right. I know what he did to Beacon, I know his power, it's obvious just looking at that video. I can't beat him.
I've always been a coward haven't I?
I steeled my will and made my decision. I'll help him.
"I'll help you get the relic. But I won't help you attack the academy, you'll handle that yourself."
"That's fine with me. Let's go do it then. You can just watch from a tree in your bird form."
This quickly? I've not got anything to do.. but this soon is unexpected.
It's not as if I have to attack anyway, I can just watch.
"..Alright, let's head out."
Yeah, I kinda made Cain ridiculously OP, I'm gonna write a few chapters after this and send my boy to DxD.
I guess this is what 'writing yourself into a corner' is. I'm gonna release 2 more chapters in RWBY then hop to there since the characters will be a lot stronger.
He's also gonna have a peerage there. I wanna have a bit more fun with peerages than most people. (Most people just make peerages nothing more than a harem.)
I wanna have dudes like Madara Uchiha and and Levi Ackerman on it.
Review plz that would be very epic.
