Hi everyone! Sorry for the absence, I just needed a bit of a break from writing. Also, I found out Imogen Poots(who is the face claim for Kade) and Brittany O'Grady(the face claim for Narah) were in a movie together! I had NO IDEA! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter! I do not own anything Star Wars, just my characters.
Narah had tended to Poe's wounds late into the night with Kade helping her, and she was currently asleep in a vacant bed next to her patient while Kade meditated. Poe stirred, which caused Kade to snap out of her daze.
"Long time no see, Fly boy." Poe chuckled as he sat up.
"I almost didn't recognize you."
"Obviously."
"How long's it been, Val?" She sat down on the side of his bed.
"Over five years, give or take…I'm sorry for what he put you through, Poe."
"It wasn't you, Kade."
"But it's my fault."
"How could any of this be your fault." She dove into what had happened the last few days, telling her old friend everything.
"If I had just kept my mouth shut…"
"You would probably be dead, the both you and your baby."
"It would be the three of us, actually. Twins." He smiled at her.
"Really? They're his, aren't they?"
"Yeah." Poe looked at her with mixed emotions; with happiness that his old friend was having twins, and a bit of uneasiness with who the father of her children was."
"Wow."
"Poe, I know this is a lot to take in, and I can feel all the emotions you're feeling right now. I'll leave if you want me to."
"What? I just found out I'm gonna be an uncle, why would I want you to leave?" She smiled at him, thankful that even with the knowledge he now had he didn't treat her any different.
"Poe, please don't tell anyone else about the twins."
"I won't, I promise."
"Thank you. Get some rest." He nodded at her and fell back asleep. Kade left the infirmary and walked to her room. She got into bed and was asleep as her head hit the pillow. The twins decided to wake her up just as the sun was rising, she got out of bed and looked out the window.
"You're up early." She chuckled and turned to her husband.
"Well, apparently your children like to be up this early." Kylo chuckled as he placed his hands on her bump.
"How are they?"br / "They've been moving so much, I think they may come sooner rather than later."
"Impatient and stubborn, wonder where they get that from."
"They get it from you."
"No, they definitely get it from you." Kade chuckled before kissing him.
"I miss you, emwe/em miss you." Kylo kissed her forehead.
"I miss you, all of you, too." He disappeared as someone knocked on Kade's door.
"Come in." Lieutenant Kaydel Connix opened the door.
"The General wishes to see you." Kade nodded and began to follow her, but a vision caught her off guard.
…Han and Chewie finding the Falcon…
…"Chewie, we're home."…
…the Falcon arriving on Takodana…
…"I didn't know there was this much green in the entire galaxy."...
…a familiarity with the scavenger, Rey…
…BB-8 rolling around Maz's…
…"Inform the Resistance."…
…"Inform the First Order."… Kade would have fallen to the floor had Lt. Connix not caught her.
"What happened?" Kade shook her head.
"I need to see the General, right now!" They hurried from the room toward the war room, where Leia was overseeing everything.
"Leia!" She turned to see Kade.
"What?"
"I had a vision." Leia nodded to Connix, dismissing her, and took Kade to a secluded corner of the room where no one would hear them.
"What did you see?"
"Han found the Falcon with that scavenger, Poe's friend, and BB-8 on board."
"Han, really?" Kade could feel the elation coming from Leia, Han would keep them all safe.
"Yes, and they're headed for Takodana or they're there already."
"We just received a transmission from Takodana, BB-8 and the map to Luke is there."
"Leia…someone there informed the First Order as well." Leia stood up a little straighter, and nodded to her.
"Then we had better prepare for a fight. I'll be going as well, to oversee everything." Kade nodded to her as she turned back to the room and started giving orders. Kade leaned against the wall as her vision began to cloud.
…"Forgive me. I feel it again. The pull to the light. Supreme Leader senses it. I can only hope that she will understand. Show me again, the power of darkness, and I will let nothing stand in our way. I will protect them. Show me, Grandfather, and I will finish what you started."… Kade let tears fall from her eye.
"Oh, Ben." She wiped her eyes as she felt a pull in her mind, a familiar one. She walked down the hall back to her room, the pull getting stronger. Kade closed the door to her room and sat down to meditate, letting the Force take her. She found herself on Takodana, watching the scavenger Rey walk down into the basement of Maz's castle. Kade starting hearing the same whispers as Rey, coming from a long dead master. Kade continued to watch as Rey opened a door to a storage room, and found an old chest. Whatever was inside was calling to them, or rather Rey. She opened the chest to find a lightsaber, Luke's lightsaber. Kade's jaw fell, he wouldn't give up his saber for anything…unless. She was pulled out of her thoughts when Rey picked up the saber, which triggered visions in the both of them.
…both women seeing each other for the first time…
…a battle between Vader and Luke…
…a metal hand touching R2's head…
…the Knights of Ren surrounded by slaughtered people…
…Kylo Ren reaching out to the two of them…
…a snowy forest, and the sound of a lightsaber being ignited… Kade and Rey both fell back out of the visions as Kade heard a whispered, but familiar, voice.
"Rey…these are your first steps. Find Kade, she will help you." Kade sat up looking around the room.
"Grandfather?" Narah walked into their room and noticed a startled Kade on the floor.
"What happened?" Kade looked up at her.
"There's been an awakening."
I read something that suggested that Poe and Ben might have grown up together, so that partially inspired this chapter. Have you guys seen those Tik Toks about Star Wars character candles?
