Hi everyone! Happy New Year! So sorry I've been away so long, it's been an INCREDIBLY stressful couple of months, but I'm BACK! I do not own anything Star Wars related, just my characters.
You're a Grandfather, Han
Family? FAMILY! Kade paced the room, trying to get her thoughts and emotions in order. HOW could she and this Rey possibly be family? She was still pacing when she heard the ships starting to land, coming back from Takodana, and when she sensed Leia knocking on her door.
"Come in." The door opened, and Leia walked in.
"I may not be as sensitive as my brother, but I could sense your thoughts outside the building. What's happened?"
"Kylo Ren has captured someone…and she and I are connected. The only type of connection I can think of is through…"
"Family…do you think…?"
"I don't know. My mother had a younger brother, but I thought he and his wife had died around the same time as my parents." Before she could continue, there was a knock at her door and Kade smiled as she sensed who it was.
"You brought him back?" Leia smiled at her.
"As if he could say no to me." Kade laughed as she turned back to the door.
"Come in." In walked Han and Chewie. Han smiled at her, and then his eyes opened wide at the sight of her giant bump. Chewie immediately walked over to her and hugged her, and gesturing to her bump.
"Hello, Chewie. Yes, I'm sorry I didn't tell you sooner." He rubbed her belly, and then walked over to Han to push him toward the two women. He looked between the bump and Kade's face, happy and bewildered at the same time.
"Why didn't you tell me, Kiddo?" Kade smiled tearfully at his old nickname for her.
"It was to keep them safe, Han. Give me your hands." She took his hands and placed them on both sides of her belly, letting both twins kick his hands.
"One…two…they already love their grandfather."
"Two? Twins?"
"Yeah, you're a grandfather, Han." He pulled her into a hug, which made her start to tear up even more. Just then, Connix popped her head into the room.
"Excuse me, General, Commander Dameron has to speak to you."
"Thank you, Lieutenant. Kade, come with me." Kade nodded her head and followed Leia out into war room. She turned to see Poe and his friend running up to them, and hugged him when he got close.
"Glad you're back in one piece, Flyboy." Poe chuckled as he let go of her.
"Always, Val. This is my new friend Finn, Finn meet Kade Valorous." Kade held out her hand for him to shake.
"I've heard a lot about you, Finn. Thank you for saving this idiot." Poe gave her a playful glare as Finn chuckled.
"No problem, are you two…?"
"Oh, no. I'm married, and Poe loves his ship too much." Poe shook his head at her.
"Okay, can we talk to the General now?" Kade stood aside to let them through.
"General Organa, sorry to interrupt, this is Finn and he needs to talk to you." Leia turned to the two men, and held her hand out for Finn to shake.
"And I need to talk to him. That was incredibly brave, what you did. Renouncing the First Order, saving this man's life…" Finn interrupted her.
"Thank you, ma'am, but a friend of mine was taken prisoner…"
"Han told me about the girl, I'm sorry." Poe spoke up.
"Finn's familiar with the weapon that destroyed the Hosian System. He worked on the base." Leia looked at Finn.
"We're desperate for anything you can tell us."
"That's where my friend was taken. I've got to get there, fast."
"And I will do everything I can to help, but first you must tell us all you know." Both men nodded at her as Narah appeared beside Kade.
"There you are, I need to check you and the babies." Finn looked at her, more like stared at her, for a second before snapping out of his stupor. Kade noticed.
"Narah, this is Poe's friend, Finn." Narah glanced at her, remembering the name, before turning her attention to Finn.
"Nice to meet you, Finn." He nodded to her, after Poe nudged his arm.
"Nice to meet you, too, Narah." Narah and Kade nodded a silent goodbye to the two men as they made their way back to their room, but Kade's vision went white as Narah closed their door.
Leia looked up at Han.
"You think I want to forget him? I want him back. I know Kade wants him back, too, for their children." Han sighed as he looked at her.
"There was nothing we could have done. There was too much Vader in him."
"That's why I wanted him to train with Luke. I never should have sent him away. That's when I lost him. That's when I lost you both."
"We both had to deal with it in our own way. I went back to the only thing I was ever good at."
"We both did."
"I don't know how Kade managed it."
"She's strong. Had to be for the twins."
"She lost her husband, and we lost our son. Forever."
"No. It was Snoke. He seduced our son to the Dark Side, by promising that he could teach Ben to protect Kade. But we can still save him. Me. You. Kade."
"If Luke couldn't reach him, how could I?"
"Luke is a Jedi…you're his father. There's still Light in him. I know it, and Kade knows it, too."
Kade blinked as her sight went back to normal, and found herself half laying half sitting on the bed with Narah putting her equipment away. She wiped the tears from her eyes as she looked at Narah.
"How are they?"
"They're good, moving a lot. You were right, they may come sooner rather than later. What did you see?"
"Han and Leia. Talking about Ben…" Kade was cutoff as a pain went through her head. She grabbed her head as Narah jumped up to help.
"What's wrong?"
"My head…it feels…feels like…someone is invading my thoughts…" She was cutoff again as her eyes went white.
Yes, I don't write for some months, and I leave off on a cliff hanger. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter, and please leave a comment/review and stick around for more.
