Hey everyone! I'm not dead, just busy. I know I've been away for a while and I thought I could use a break from my AHiT series. So, I'm doing something that I always wanted to do when I was little and write a Digimon story! Now that I'm a little better at writing I thought why not give it a go? However, Writing stories aren't my priority right now, just a pass time; Please refrain from asking me when my stories will update.
That's a little rude, personally.
They'll update when they update; Thank you for understanding!
(Chapter one: A foggy mind, quick actions)
'Please! Don't fight!'
Blurry figures fought, the mind muffled words, everything was just a faint dream it seemed.
'...I believe in you...'
A sharp intake of air entered a girl's lungs, eyes flickering around and darting to figure out just where she was. The world seemed upside down, it puzzled her, and panic slowly started to make it's way to her head... or was it the blood rushing? Soon she realized that it was just because she was hanging from some vines. The girl huffed as she attempted to snap herself loose and eventually she fell to the ground. The wind was knocked out of her lungs and the blood finally rushed back to her head causing a huge headache.
It was nothing compared to the pain she felt when she fell, however.
Groaning, she slowly sat up, dense forest surrounded her, the sun just nearly straight above. How long was she out and how did she get here?
"Think to yourself, Sabrina... how did this happen...?" That girl looked around.
Just a moment ago she was outside the old forest property her father owned, wandering around in the cold air of March. Setting old logs and cutdown hollow trees on fire in the pit because they needed to be burned down. The humid atmosphere of what could be considered summer was taking a toll on her as she realized that this wasn't the same acres of trees that belonged to her father. Placing her sunglasses over her eyes as she finally got off the ground and shook the dirt off, she also realized that Forest Survival was not something she had done personally, but if needed, she could attempt it.
She had this nagging feeling that she wasn't home anymore and that same anxiety started to kick in. perhaps she was in the plot over? It still didn't explain why she was hanging upsidedown. The trees look nothing like anything back home; almost like they were slightly pixelated... Sabrina shook her head.
"No that can't be right, I'm just imagining it..." she mumbled to herself.
A river was flowing through a clearing, rocky surroundings and reeds stuck out here and there. Getting a closer look at herself in the reflection, Sabrina made sure that nothing was missing or seemed off. Removing the sunglasses quickly, she looked at her eyes, baggy from lack of sleep as always. Tired teal grey eyes looked back at herself, black short hair messy hair, and she was thankfully still in her hunting outfit while she was working. A simple digital camouflage getup.
An overcoat that was thick and sturdy, along with the same kind of pants, White rubber boots with thick socks that went over the pant legs. Unbuttoning the heavy coat to aired out reviled a thin shirt that was also tucked into the pants; it too was digital camouflage.
The only thing that was missing was her weapon, a machete that she used to chop wood down.
"At least all of me is here... wherever here was..." Sabrina sighed in relief.
After a moment of regaining her thoughts, Sabrina remember that she had her phone! A smile lit up her face as she patted down her pockets, trying to remember just which one held it. When she felt a mass in her left back pockets, she scrambled to get the velcro open.
Though, pulling out the thing that was in her pocket.. wasn't her phone at all... where was her phone? What was this thing?! Scrambling around some more, she checked every pocket again. That couldn't be all that was there! Where was her phone?! Angrily, she looked at the strange-looking device, it was small, colored a dull light blue with dark blue buttons, and it fits in the palm of her hand. Holding it up to her ear, she wondered if it was some sort of strange clock, but no ticking came from it.
It reminds her of an egg-timer oddly enough.
She was also half tempted to toss it into the river in rage.
By now it seemed like it was right on the dot of noon; Keeping her coat undone, for now, Sabrina followed the stream. With no phone or a weapon to keep herself safe, she'd just have to make a weapon and find her way to a clearer area. Maybe she could find a road and signal down a car for a ride? Who was she kidding... Talking to other people gave her anxiety as well.
While she mulled over her thoughts and possible options; It seemed like now was not a time to panic, if she was lost, her brother would more then likely tell her not to panic. Though as she continued her walk down the river, the short girl heard a cry for help in the distance, away from the river and into the heavy brush of the woods. It had caught her off guard, especially since she believed she was the only one in the woods, but that slight bit of hope that she wasn't alone made her smile!
Leaping into action, Sabrina ran off towards the commotion. Someone could help her if she helped them! All thoughts had been put aside for the meantime. However, due to not being active all the time, the girl had to slow down. Her lungs were already protesting from the sudden burst of movement she had done but it didn't stop her from continuing the path.
Stopping short of a large tree, she peered around. In front of her was the commotion she had heard earlier. It took her a moment to realize that the talking and yelling were coming from odd creatures; three pink balls with frilly antennas and a child-sized goblin looking figure with a large club. It took her a moment to gather what was happening. It took her even longer to realize that these things weren't people at all!
"What in god's name..." She mumbled, making sure not to be seen.
One of the pink balls was down and out and the other two growled at, what Sabrina assumed to be, their assailant.
"Bubble blow!" One shouted out, launching out an attack at the goblin.
It was easily deflected with the club it wields, not even needing to call out a name for the attack to swing it down. It laughed at the two little things as they jumped out of the way and growled again.
"Go away you stupid Goblimon!" The other one yelled, looking up at the attacker.
"You In-training Digimon are a long way from home," Goblimon chuckled "I couldn't help but want to fight you guys, knowing what you evolve into!" With a shout "Goburi Rush!" He swung his club around frantically, trying to hit one of the little guys.
Sabrina looked on with shook and awe, she debated on whether going out there was a good idea. However, the more she watched these little guys struggle the more it made her angry. Quickly looking around for a weapon of some sort, Sabrina spotting a fallen thin branch, it was the best the girl can do at the time. She had to help!
Having an iron grip, Sabrina ran full force to stop the oncoming attack from Goblimon, the swing made contact with the lager club and shattered the human's weapon. The sudden shock stunned the goblin enough for Sabrina to send a firm right hook to his jaw.
The little pink balls, tired, looked up in awe at the even larger being that came to their aid. Sabrina shook her hand in pain as she looked over at the knocked over Goblimon, who also groaned in pain as well. Quickly turning around, Sabrina grabbed hold of the three smaller beings, then she bolted once more.
In the distance, you could hear the angry Goblimon yelling out, and more than likely started to chase.
That was it, her lungs couldn't keep up anymore. Too much running, but perhaps they were finally in the clear. The group took shelter in a cave as they watched the bigger being hack and pretty much cough out her lungs.
"Are you okay?!" One looked on worried, while the other one is silently panicking.
The third was still out cold.
Sabrina finally evened out her breathing, and looked at them, giving them a thumbs up with a nod. Her throat hurting too much to speak words at the moment. The little guys seemed to calm down, a sigh of relief that their savior was okay.
"Thank you for saving us..." the first one said, getting closer to her.
The second nodded "yeah, we would have been done for if you hadn't come along!" An adorable smile pointed at her.
"We're Koromon by the way!" The first one smiled as well, "what kind of Digimon are you?"
They both hopped closer now, inspecting the strange being "you kinda have a theme like a Tankmon, Are you a type of mercenary Digimon?"
The girl backed up trying to get some space, she realized they had some pretty sharp teeth "N-no..." Sabrina was gathering her voice "My name is Sabrina... I'm a human." She said, confusing the little Koromons even further. Then she asked, "What's a Digimon?"
"What's a human?" The second Koromon asked mimicking her, and Sabrina was unsure how to answer.
"Uh... Digimon is what we are; digital monsters!" The first one answered their rescuer's question, "there are many kinds of us, in different level stages; we're just in-training Digimon so we had a hard time fighting that rookie." They also added in "it's also pretty strange, normally Goblimons don't like to attack by themselves..."
There seemed to be a class system with these so-called Digimon then, Sabrina quietly listened some more. Propping her back against the wall of the cave, the second Koromon hopped onto her lap. Stunned for a moment, she finally placed a hand down and patted the little guy's head. Their big red eyes closing happily.
Humming in a way to shake of the odd personality of their enemy, the first Koromon looked down in thought "If I remember correctly..." the little pink ball continued "the line up is, Baby to In-training to Rookie to Champion to Ultimate and lastly Mega!" They happily said, informing their new friend. The first Koromon seemed to be the brains of the group, despite being the equivalent of a toddler, it knew all of this.
"Welcome to the digital world, Sabrina!" The second one said, who was still having their head rubbed. This one seemed to be the heart, caring. They seemed to love the affection Sabrina was giving him.
"Digital world, huh..." she knew she wasn't home then, or perhaps it was all just a dream? She had been having odd dreams as of late, probably due to how late she stays up. All previous plans are no longer an option if that were the case. Maybe Sabrina will wake up any moment... that could be it.
For now, a moment of silence was what she needed...
