Chapter Seven:
"So..." Lloyd fidgeted slightly, glancing over at their guest, mind completely plank over what it was they could talk about...besides the whole werewolves attacking Ninjago thing since something told him that might be a bit insensitive to bring up.
"Your den is very...cozy." Sparrow Field glanced around the messy, really they should learn to clean up after themselves one of these days, gaming room that they were sitting in.
Lloyd winced, knowing that it was a mess, Jay hurriedly grabbing a pair of dirty socks and shoving it into the cushions out of sight just testified how bad it was... Zane cleared his throat from where he stood in the doorway, one eyebrow raised. "Excuse me, while I know a bit about taking care of human injuries, I am afraid werewolf injuries are a bit over my head. Since you have explained to us that you are part of a rebellion of sorts, would you care to come take a look at Kai's leg? I am afraid he was bit during the last attack."
"Sure thing." Sparrow Field leaped to his feet, hurrying after the nindroid.
Nya sighed as he disappeared from view, turning to face her boyfriend. "I know he's a family friend and all... but I haven't seen him since I was three and that was way too awkward."
Jay nodded in agreement, even as Cole stuck his head into the room. "Where's Sparrow Field? Misako wants to ask him a few questions and Sensei wants to know how to get ahold of this Revolution that he spoke of."
"Zane took him down to see Kai." Lloyd responded quickly even as he faceplanted into one of the cushions.
"That bad uh?" Sympathy flashed into Cole's eyes briefly, before he turned to leave the room. "Bye the way... Sensei wants us to meet him in ten."
Groans escaped them at that, but none of them dared to complain for fear that Sensei was eavesdropping...magically eavesdropping since he always seems to know who did what when he isn't around to witness it.
Sensei tapped his staff against the ground, watching as his students fell down... again. The exercise that he had them doing was one that he had them do many years ago when they first started their ninja training. "I would have thought that after so many years of being under my tutelage you would do better than you did back when you were mere newbies."
Jay and Lloyd groaned loudly at that, both rolling over so as to stare up at the sky instead of the ground. Nya pushed herself up, frustration dancing in her eyes as she glared at the old obstacle course. "Come on! I'm a spinjitzu master! I can do this!" She charged at the course without pause, forcing Cole to quickly roll out of her way to avoid being trampled.
"Nya!" Zane hauled Cole to his feet, shooting the Master of Water a withering look.
Before anyone could say anything about how bad her stubbornness was at the moment, the door banged open as Misako, with Sparrow Field right behind her, hurried over to them. "Werewolves are attacking Stiix!"
Sparrow Field stepped forward, bowing slightly towards Nya. "I will get the rest of the Revolution. If that is alright with your Alpha." He turned to face Lloyd, who was still sprawled out on the ground.
Lloyd noticed him looking, and raised an eyebrow upwards. "I'm not an Alpha. I'm not much of a leader either for that matter."
Nya cleared her throat, pointing towards Sensei. "We all take our orders from Sensei Wu... and another thing. Humans don't have Alphas. They have politicians to handle the legal stuff... and Police Commissioners, generals, and of course Senseis to handle the crime fighting and protecting part of leading."
"Oh...that sounds confusing." Sparrow Field wrinkled his nose, before turning to Sensei.
"Go. We need as much help as possible if we are to succeed against this foe."
"If that's the case... we better call in the Elemental Alliance." Lloyd shoved himself upwards, determination flashing in his eyes.
Skylor flipped over a snarling werewolf that scratching and biting at Karlof, who had turned himself metal. Another werewolf, one that had the spare black belt tied around its waist so as to let them know it was a member of the Revolution, tackled it, pushing her, at least Skylor thought that werewolf was female... away from Karlof. Slamming into the ground, Skylor used a combination of water and fire to spray very warm steam into another werewolf's face. A yelp escaped him, as he scrambled backwards.
"Where's Kai?" Skylor asked for the fifth time since she arrived in Stiix, turning to face the nearest ninja... who this time turned out to be a very flustered Jay.
Jay slammed his nunchucks into a werewolf, before turning to face her. "We already told you... he isn't coming. He's been placed on leave until further notice."
Skylor gritted her teeth together, not liking that answer anymore that time, than she did the other times she was given it. Then again, the only way a ninja could be on leave was if they were too injured or too sick to fight. A familiar scream suddenly rented the air, sending a chill down her spine... and if the horror flooding Jay's expression was anything to go by... he felt the same chill. Whirling around, Skylor scanned the battlefield until she spotted a familiar face pinned underneath a much larger werewolf, who was holding a jagged dagger to her neck.
"Nya!" Jay yelled, panic edging his voice as he moved to aid her.
The werewolf noticed him coming closer, and quickly pressed his weapon down. A trickle of blood slipped down from where it nicked her even as a wolf-like whimper escaped the usually fearless girl. Skylor balled her fingers into fists, even as the werewolf opened his mouth. "Do not take another step or else Storm in the Night Sky will get it!"
Confusion immediately flooded Skylor. Why did he just called Nya... that? Before Skylor could ask what he meant by that name instead of Nya's actaul name, a screech of surprise tore from the werewolf has the part of the dock that he stood upon suddenly collapsed into the water as another werewolf, one without a spare black belt tied around its waist, slammed into him...
A/N: Still no reviews... oh well!
