A/N

Hey demons, it's ya girl.

Because most of my chapters are quite short, I'm going to be uploading 1 on Monday and 1 on Friday.

I'm just figuring out a balance, so you'll have to bare with me!

Love you in the most homosexual way!

Peace

Chapter 15

Saturday morning, Rachel had plucked up the courage to do something she'd been meaning to do for a while. For a couple of weeks, Rachel had been getting a strange aura from Artemis any time someone mentioned two certain villains: Cheshire and Sportsmaster.

She found the blonde training, hitting the targets with almost inhumane accuracy. Rachel coughed softly, so that she knew that she was here, and Artemis turned, lowering her bow.

"Hey Rache, what's up?" she asked. Rachel took a step forward and swallowed.

"Well I… uh. Listen, whenever people mention Cheshire and Sportsmaster, you give off a really weird aura, and I was wondering, what's wrong?" She could feel Artemis felt like a cornered animal, itching to run. The older girl sighed and asked if they could talk about it in Rachel's room. She nodded and they walked in silence.

When the door was locked and they were alone (Thanks BatParanoia for the OTT security) everything seemed to spill out like a broken dam. Artemis' mother, the ex-con Huntress, her dangerous and abusive father Sportsmaster and her psycho sister Cheshire. Rachel just listened and nodded. It was easy for her to sympathise.

After she was finished, Rachel told her that her family didn't matter.

"If it did, I would be in Bell Reve right now, considering my father is literally a demon." She put a hand on Artemis' shoulder, "It's ok. I won't tell anyone but if you ever want to, I'll sure as hell support you." Artemis smiled and the sat on her bed. The blonde sighed.

"It feels so good to get that out. You have no idea." Then she grinned and sat up.

"But I think we're not done with our little talk." Rachel raised an eyebrow, "What's going on with you and our other resident birdie, huh?" Rachel blushed and stuttered out some claim of denial but Artemis saw right though it and grinned even wider.

"Oh my god, you have it bad, don't you?" Rachel hid her crimson face in her hands.

"Is it really that obvious?" Artemis proceeded to tell her that a blind man could see it. Rachel groaned and flopped onto her bed next to her friend.

"But it's ok because D-Robin is completely oblivious. I mean the number of times me, Babs and AJ have hinted at shipping you without either of you realising is overwhelmingly high."

Rachel grinned at the fact that she had excluded Johnno because he was more love-blind that Dick, if that was possible.

"Well if I'm going down, I'm gonna take you with me. You may not even realise it, but you like Wally." Now it was the archer's turn to go red.

"I do not!"

"Do!"

"Don't!"

"Do!"

"D-…. Oh my god… I DO!" Artemis' eyes went wide and she buried her face into the pillows. Rachel started laughing and then she couldn't stop. They chatted for a while about the boys and giggled. Finally, Rachel sighed.

"OK, come on. I interrupted your training so let's go and spar, yeah?" the girls grinned at eachother and headed back to the training room.

Little did they know that said boys were having almost the exact same conversation in Robin's room (minus the whole 'my entire family are criminals' thing) and had decided to go and examine the Crystal of Azarath to see if they could find anything, being the nerds they are.
