YAY! I'm back! THANK YOU to people who BOTHERED to review! Makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. :3

Anyways, VOTE! XD LOL. No, but really. School is coming up soon, in like… a week. Updates will go back to just on weekends. Unless 8th grade gives me so much homework, I can't even do that. -_-

Phantom Spirit

Chapter 8: North Pole

Jack flew as fast as he could towards the pole. He hated to leave that girl back there, but he really needed to talk to North. Besides, she had Shadow.

'I really hope Danny didn't need him,' Jack thought as he flew through the toy factory window.

"North!" he called out, walking farther into the factory. The winter spirit dodged flying toys and yetis while hopping over elves, freezing a few along the way.

"Hey Phil," he walked up the head yeti, who was painting trains orange and black. "Um, don't you think that's kinda Halloweenish?" The yeti slammed his head to the table with a groan. "Never mind that! Do you know where North is?"

The brown yeti garbled something in yetish. Jack raised an eyebrow. "Um… Thanks?" Rolling his eyes, Phil pointed the paintbrush towards North's office. "Thanks!"

Jack ran to the door. Before running in, he paused. Rolling his blue eyes, the teen knocked on the door. "Come in!" a jolly voice called from the inside.

The winter spirit opened the door and dodged a little ice airplane flying by his head. Jack closed the door and walked up the block of ice on the desk. "North?" he asked, raising an eyebrow at the ice block.

A chainsaw cut through from behind, narrowly missing Jack, and sliced the ice diagonally. Yelping, the teen fell back into the chair behind him.

Half the ice slid off the desk and crashed to the floor. North stood on the other side, smiling joyfully. "Aw, Jack! I should have known it was you! Yetis would not knock!"

Jack let out a breath, still in shock over a chainsaw being inches from his face. "Sheesh, North," he said, sitting up. "Can you be careful with that? I'd rather not have my face cut off, thank you very much."

The larger man just continued to carve into the ice. "What brings you here, Jack?" he asked, not taking his eyes off the chisel.

The teen rolled his eyes. "I need advice. I don't know if I'm making the right decision."

North nodded. "Continue."

"Danny's been running into people he knew as a mortal. It's not the best of reunions."

Santa looked over to him quickly. "Okay, what does this have to do with you?"

Jack ran his hands through his white locks. "The people haven't forgotten him after he died, and-"

"Wait." North dropped his mini hammer and chisel. "What do you mean 'died'?"

Jack looked up at him. "Oh, uh… I just kinda figured that if you don't remember, you had died. It happened with me-"

"You died?"

"Yah… I thought I told you," Jack lied. He never told anyone! He didn't want to be treated like he was glass because he had died 300 years ago!

"Anyways!" the teen quickly said before they could go further in the subject. He stood up before continuing. "I've been trying to make sure he didn't see his memories, in case his death was… more gruesome than mine."

North nodded and walked around his desk. "And what was yours?"

Jack hesitated, but sighed. "I drowned. But Jamie said Danny had gone missing. He could have been murdered, or got caught in an accident, or-"

"What do you mean Jamie?" the large man asked, looking back at the teen in confusion. "Did they know each other?"

The winter spirit huffed in annoyance at being interrupted again. "Not exactly. Danny was a hero in his mortal life. Known as Danny Phantom."

North nodded in understanding before walking out the door. Jack stayed there, confused. 'Did he just walk away?'

As an answer, the older spirit walked back into the room and tossed him a toy. "Many kids asked for these last Christmas. I know who you're talking about."

Jack furrowed his eyebrows and looked at the toy. All confusion left at the sight of the plastic Danny Phantom action figure.

"Uh, yah. Anyway, I don't know if I should show him his memories or not!" The winter spirit set the toy on the desk. "It's really hurting his friends and family."

North nodded and stroked his beard in thought. "Well, what do you think would be best for him?" he asked, turning to the teen. "What would he want?"

Jack sighed and fell into his seat again, his staff still clutched in his hand. "I don't know anymore. I thought he wouldn't be as hurt if it was a secret for now, but…"

North walked up to him and placed a large hand on his small shoulder. "Do what you think best, Jack." He smiled at the younger spirit.

Jack smiled. "Thanks North. I'll t-"

The door slammed open, shaking the selves and making ice sculptures fall to the ground. Phil stood in the doorway, panicked.

"How many times have I told you to KNOCK?!" North yelled.

The yeti garbled and ran out into the factory, more noise coming from the door than usual. The large man's eyes widened and he rushed out the door, grabbing his duel swords. Jack jumped up and ran after him.

The toy factory was a mess. NightMares were flying around, dropping toys from above. North ran forward and sliced the nearest horse of black sand before running off again. Jack froze a nearby NightMare and ran towards the nearest window.

Fearling wolves formed in front of him, keeping him away from the window. The nearest jumped towards him, black teeth bared and ready to bite. Jack knocked him to the side with his staff and jumped over the others.

He rolled to a stop and threw the window open. The wind immediately rushed in and pushed the wolves away and into a wall, the black sand falling to the floor. "Thanks Wind!" the teen called over the commotion. The wind rustled his hair before pulling him back into the fray.

Yetis ran around, smashing the Nightmares and trying to protect the toys. Elves ran around in panic, trying to find a place to hide. North and Jack destroyed as many Nightmares as they could, North trying to get to the Guardian Signal.

The winter spirit froze the horse in front of him, allowing the Guardian of Wonder to activate the signal.

Upon seeing the Northern Lights, the Fearlings and NightMares flew out in a rush, leaving the Santoff Clausen in a wreck. Toys laid scattered and broken on the floor and yetis ran around, trying to find toys to fix.

"Jack," North called. The teen turned towards him. "Go to Danny. We need his help for this."

Jack nodded quickly and flew out the window.

As he flew, he ran into a colorful blur. "Ow!" they both shouted.

Tooth looked up at what she ran into. "Jack! What are you doing? Why'd North summon us?"

Jack shook his head, the wind keeping him in the air. "Clausen attacked by NightMares. I have to talk with Danny." With this, he flew around her and towards Amity.

'Hopefully Danny's there…'

Yay! Done! Now I gotta update Nightfang soon… Sorry this is kinda a short chapter. Think of it like a filler. :P
