Chapter 2: 16 Years Later
The day Belle and Ben came, I was waiting for them at the gate of the underworld. I greeted them and let the enter. I talked with Belle about stuff. When she asked me why I said to Adam about him being just like our father. I told her that our father, Ben's grandfather, made Adam cold and heartless at such a young age after our mother, Ben's grandmother, Passed before our 9th birthday. She understands why Our father did to Adam before she met him. After what seemed to be a long day, I lead Belle and Ben back to the gate and said my goodbye. I knew I'm going miss Hades for a long time. I worked hard in the underworld as it's Queen and showed a brave face and did my best for my kingdom aka the underworld. I would visit Ben and bring gifts for him like a ball, a toy sword, a toy crown, toy soldiers and many other stuff. Adam wanted me to at least speak to him. I told him that what he did was wrong, I wanted to live my life with Hades and he took that away from me. Fairy godmother asked me if I can come to teach art at Auradon Prep. I agreed, but she knew I had a kingdom to run as well.
For 16 long years, I ruled a kingdom and helped teach at Auradon Prep. I stopped teach at Auradon Prep and just lead the Underworld as it's Queen. I came to visit Belle, Adam and Ben. I smiled as Ben came over and gave me a hug. I met Audrey, Ben's girlfriend. I could tell that I didn't like Audrey at the start. I felt like Audrey had to success just like her parents. When I came to visit another time, I heard that Ben picked 4 VK's to come to Auradon. Ben asked me to be there to greet them. I agreed cause I couldn't say no to my nephew, the future king of Auradon. When that day arrived, I came to Auradon Prep with 2 of my handmaidens. I stood next to Ben and Audrey as the 4 VK's arrived. When Mal looked at me, She noticed I was hiding pain and suffering. I met Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos. I took a liking to Evie, but I had a gut feeling that Mal might be Hades cause I could see that in her. I felt my heart break even more.
"Um, Can I ask you something in private some time after the tour?" Mal asked me.
"Sure there is a garden not far from the school where I go when I visit." I said. "Meet me there."
"Alright. I never got your name." Mal asked.
"Selena. I know that Your name is Mal." I said.
Mal nods and followed the others. I went to the Garden and had my Handmaidens go and get me something to eat and drink. They knew that I need space so that I can talk to Mal in private. As Mal came to the garden, we started to talk. Mal got to know me and she asked me if I knew Hades. I told her that Hades is my boyfriend and that my brother, King Adam, had arrested him and he was the reason behind my broken heart. Mal felt bad for me and she told me that She can see me as a mother figure for her. I told her that if her mother does something to Mal, I would be there to take her in as my own daughter if need be. Mal is grateful for that. That night, I was in the underworld and wondered if I would ever see Hades again. The next day, I did my best to run the kingdom and I've been busy when my handmaiden came with and invite to the Crowning of Ben being king. I told her to tell Adam, I wouldn't miss it to see my nephew be crowned king. My handmaiden bowed and left.
I decided to visit Auradon prep for Parents day. I've been in Ben's life since he was little. When Parent's day came, I came to Auradon Prep and I wore a dark blue sun dress with a crystal crown. I came over to Adam and Belle and greeted them. I was still mad at Adam for what he did. I took some pictures with Adam and Belle before Ben came over to have some picture for the whole family. Ben brought Mal over to say that she's his girlfriend, I was a bit surprised at first, but knew that Mal is best suited for Ben then Audrey. Then I heard commotion and came over. I was surprised by what is happening. I came over to help at least and ushered Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos away. I felt bad that Parents day was ruined because of Audrey. When Audrey teased Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos, I felt pissed that she would do that. Mal defended herself and her friends. I was proud of her for doing that. The next few weeks, Evie asked me that she made dress for me and I thanked her.
When she showed me, I was amazed. I told her she did a good job and that she should open a store for this kind of skill. Evie said it would be her dream to do that. She let me wear the dress she made for me. When that fateful day came, I put on the dress and put on my crown that I wear in the underworld. I came to where its being held. I greet Adam and Belle as we wait. Snow White asked me who made my dress. I told her that Evie made it for me, I told her that she took her time making it and that I was proud of what she did. Adam noticed that I changed since the day he took Hades away from her. When Mal and Ben came, I greeted them and walked in with Belle, Adam and Mal into the church. I stood next to Belle and watched as my nephew walk down to where Belle, Adam and myself are at.
