Chapter 5

SO I'M GOING THROUGH THE EPISODES STARTING AT SEASON 13 WHEN AMANDA ROLLINS JOINS THE CAST. AMANDA AND OLIVIA WILL BE TOGETHER, SO THAT MEANS I HAVE TO CHANGE SOME OF THE EPISODES ANYWAY. I WILL GO THROUGH THE EPISODES BY MENTIONING SOME AND FOCUSING ON MY FAVORITES. I WILL CHANGE SOME DETAILS TO MAKE IT THE WAY I WANT IT TO GO.

THE FOCUS IS ON HUNTING GROUND(SEASON 13:EPISODE 15).

Amanda couldn't believe what she just heard, she tried to ignore it. "Amanda, tell me about yourself." Amanda sighed, "Liv I don't do this sort of thing." Olivia laughed, "What sort of thing?" Amanda twisted her hands, "Open up to people, talk about my life." She shrugged, "Well you don't have a choice, I deal with you now. Amanda, have you ever stopped to think, maybe that's the problem. If you always do, what you have always done and things aren't working out, why not try something different?" Amanda thought maybe Liv was right.

"Life hasn't been easy, my dad is a drunk and has gambling problems, he would beat my mom. I have a sister, she gets in more trouble than me. I learned a long time ago to keep them at a distance, because they will bring you down." Amanda looked down and kept talking, "They didn't really pay attention to me. I've always done what I wanted. I put myself through school, by...ummm...by gambling." She was scared but she looked up. Olivia listened, she knew the discipline wasn't there, but deep down Amanda was good. She didn't have the right guidance.

"Why did you really leave Atlanta?" Amanda wasn't ready, she couldn't tell her what happened. "Liv, can we not talk about that, I'm not ready." Olivia was concerned, she knew whatever she wasn't ready to talk about, was a problem. "I can respect that Amanda, but I need you to understand that with this agreement, I care about you first and foremost and I won't lie, when you first came I was dealing with things, but things have changed. Do you agree? Do you know I care?" Amanda shook her head, "Yes Liv." Olivia shook her head, "Well I think that's important before we continue. I have rules for you. I need you to get that attitude in check, be respectful, do not lie to me, and gambling, I hope I've been clear. Amanda there will be consequences if you don't do the right thing."

Amanda felt like she was 6 sitting in a timeout chair, Amanda's lack of discipline was coming out and she couldn't stop it. "Great what's next standing in a fucking corner?" Olivia smirked, this was what she expected from the beginning, so why not play her game. "Actually yes and you can start now. You are not going to talk to me like that." Olivia pointed to an empty corner, "Get over now and think about what's really going on." Amanda couldn't, she wouldn't, "Fuck you and fuck this! I'm gone." Olivia let her go and sat on the couch, she knew this wasn't going to be easy.

This next morning Olivia arrived early on purpose, "Hey Captain!" She sat down, "How was it Olivia?" She smiled, "It was as hard as I thought. She is stubborn and disrespectful when pushed at all." Cragen laughed, "Reminds me a little of someone I used to know, breaking protocol, talking back, carrying her family's problems." Olivia shook her head, "Was I that bad?" Cragen shook his head, "No, it didn't take much to get you back in line, but Amanda is different." She explained to Cragen what she told her and what happened. "Wow you're tough, I never spanked you. Well she's your responsibility. The only thing I will handle is if I need to take her shield and I hope that doesn't happen." Olivia left the office, "Morning Fin." He looked up, "Hey Liv."

Cragen stepped out, "Olivia, I need you to meet Nick at this address, we have a missing 16 year old girl." He looked at Fin, "Where's your partner?" Fin always had her back, "Her ribs were sore, said she'd be a little late." They both looked at Liv and she said, "I'll check on her." Olivia headed to meet Nick at the address of the missing girl. She sent Amanda a text, "Get to work now! We will have a discussion later."

She got out of the car and saw Nick, "Liv this is a mess." They went to talk to the mom, turns out the missing girl was a teenage mother that supposedly took a catering job. "She left around 8:30 last night and hasn't been back since. She has really turned her life around since having him." The mother held her grandson and played a voicemail from the girl, "Mommy, I'm sorry I've been a bad girl. I have sex with men for money." Nick and Olivia knew something was wrong, the mom just hadn't figured it out. "Thank you ma'am. We will be in touch." They headed back to the squad room.

Rollins reported to work immediately once she saw the text from Liv. She knew she was already in trouble. Cragen sent Fin and her to Queens to check on the catering company. Turns out it was a coverup for an escort operation. This took them to another place, which led them to a list of underage girls. Cragen took a phone call, "I'm sending one there now, thanks." Cragen sent Nick to Manhattan Beach, while sending Munch and Olivia to investigate elsewhere, because they had the most experience.

Turns out they were looking for a serial rapist and killer. 11 bodies turned up at the beach, but still not the missing 16 year old. Warner found evidence on the bodies that sent them to the location of the man named Graham. Cragen stood around them giving directions, "Everyone, vests on." Olivia fastened her vest and looked at Amanda, it was the first time she had seen her in 2 days. The case kept them separate and busy. As soon as they made eye contact Amanda looked away. "Everyone, I need your head in the game. Be careful."

Fin and Amanda went one way, while Nick and Olivia went another. They came upon a house and Olivia gave a sign to split up. She found the young girl unconscious on the bed, "Squeeze my hand sweet girl." Olivia heard a sound and when she turned around Graham was there, "Give me your gun." His tone was cold and now Olivia was looking down the barrel of her own gun. Nick saw what was happening and shot and killed him, saving Olivia.

Back at the squad, Olivia went into Cragen's office and put her hand on Nick's shoulder, "I owe you big time! She's in ICU, but she's gonna make it." Cragen added, "I want you to take some time off and be with your daughter, no exceptions." Nick's wife was in the army, overseas. Olivia didn't know what the problem was, "Captain it was a good shoot." He shook his head agreeing, "I know, but it still has to be reviewed. Nick sit down and I'll walk you through the paperwork." Olivia offered to help, but Cragen knew she had other things to deal with. "I've got it Olivia, I think you need to deal with other things."

Olivia walked out of the office and saw Fin putting on his coat and Amanda at her desk. "Liv are you alright?" She smiled at Fin, "I'm good and even better knowing the victim will make it." Fin agreed, "Munch and I are grabbing a bite, you two wanna join us." Amanda shook her head no and Olivia added, "Not tonight. I just want to take a shower and get comfortable." Fin and Munch left.

"Hey!" Amanda looked up, "Hi Sergeant." Olivia shook her head, "So I'm Sergeant now, no more Liv?" Amanda just shrugged her shoulders. She was upset, this was the second time Olivia was looking down a gun, what if next time she wasn't so lucky. She also knew that the last time they spoke it ended badly with her losing her temper. Amanda didn't know what the feelings were, trouble, worry, fear, or love. "You know we need to talk right, whether I'm Liv or not? I'm leaving the name choice completely up to you, but it doesn't have to be that way." Olivia stood up from the desk, "Tomorrow night may place at 7:00. It's Friday and we have all weekend. And you have a day to get yourself together."

Friday morning came and Amanda was on time. She went to a meeting last night after the long day. The meeting made her feel better. She didn't want to gamble anymore, but didn't know if she could stop. Although Liv's threat did help her stay far away. The squad room was quiet and everyone got their files done.

Olivia headed out around 4:00, she wanted to make dinner for Amanda. "Night Captain! See ya Munch. Fin don't party too hard this weekend." Olivia laughed, "Ha ha very funny. Night Liv." Fin was on this weekend with Munch, since Nick had off, she got away free. She looked at Amanda and didn't want to embarrass her, "Have a good one Amanda."

Amanda waved at her knowing she would face her in a few hours." Fin looked at her, "Hey come on let's grab a coffee and get some air." They sat down at the coffee shop, "How's it going with you two?" Amanda shrugged and Fin tried his best to explain, "Liv is a good person and she cares about you, but she's not going to play games with you. It's like a parent who wants to see their child be everything they should be, you know." Amanda shook her head, "My parents never cared what I did Fin and I don't want to be her child."

She told him what happened and what she said to Olivia last time they sat down to talk. Fin cuffed his hands over his mouth, "Oh shit Amanda, you said that to Liv." Amanda looked sad, "Thanks for the support Fin." Amanda sipped her coffee, "Fin can this stay between us?" He leaned forward, "Of course. What's up?" She looked down, "I'm straight! You know, I date guys." Fin shook his head, "Ummm I know that, we've been to bars. I've seen who you leave with." Fin was a little confused and Amanda continued, "Liv is straight." Fin knew where this was going now.

Fin sat back and smiled, "Wipe that smile off your face. Now!" Fin stopped smiling, because he saw the fear in Amanda, "You like her, like really like her?" She shook her head, "I don't know why Fin. When she talks to me or is around me I just feel like I've never felt. I'm not dumb, I know it can't happen. Shit Fin, she's not even like that. When she started talking and said she cared about me, I had all these feelings. Then when she laid out all those rules and punishments, I lost it."

Amanda hung her head, "What Fin, just say it." Fin looked at her, "I think you should tell her the truth. Amanda hiding behind your feelings isn't helping. You're not dumb and Liv certainly isn't dumb, she will figure it out based on how you act." Amanda begged him, "Don't tell her please!" Fin stood up so they could leave, "I won't, I promise, but Amanda…" They walked out to leave, "Yeah Fin." Fin put his arm around her, "Liv is gonna tear your ass up for the Fuck statement." She shook her head and headed to her apartment to face the music.
