"Present." Callie rolled her eyes as she saw her roommate raised her arm up. It was her last class of the day. Day one of medical school was somewhat tiring. She woke up at 7:45 AM since she has an 8 AM class, being annoyed at the blonde roommate for lecturing her about her positioning of things. She glared at the blonde while she was applying the finishing touches on her bedsheet. Someone can actually bounce a coin on the blonde's bed on how she did it.
Then, the old timer professor wanted to arrange the class alphabetically and it was not a big class. Hearing that her roommate's last name was Robbins, they might actually be sitting close to each other. "Torres, C-Calliope Iph-, Torres?" Callie shot her arms up as the professor called out her name.
"Callie is fine Sir." The professor nodded at her and continued with his roll call. Callie grunted internally and sat beside the most annoying person in the class, the campus even.
She was taking note of the course syllabus when she felt someone watching her. Looking at her left, she noticed the blonde grinning at her. "What?"
"Nothing, Calliope." Arizona bit her lips and looked back at the professor.
That night, she kind of made a mess in the kitchen to get back at the blonde for calling her Calliope. Pretending to be asleep, Callie heard the blonde grunt and mutter curse words. She was already dozing off when she heard the blonde turn off the remaining lights and jumped in her bed.
"Think of a better way to annoy me, Calliope."
There were several uncomfortable instances with her roommate that reached to Callie asking for another room or roommate with the administration, but to no avail.
One was when she brought a guy over, they were in the middle of the activity when the blonde walked in.
Callie yelled for her to get out but the blonde stared at the man.
"Karev, if you don't dress up, I'll kick your butt." Arizona stated as the man quickly stood up and pulled his pants up. And ran out the door.
Apparently, Alex Karev was a graduating student from JHU. He was about to go to medical school and was under Arizona's tutoring team.
Second was when Callie woke up with some girl in the bathroom, and no Arizona.
"Oh. Hey. I'm Julie." She smiled while brushing her teeth. "Arizona had an early practice."
Callie didn't really realize that her roommate was gay. It didn't matter. What mattered was how annoying the blonde is.
So when they were able to talk in the room, Callie wanted to lay out the rule.
"So, I met your girlfriend earlier." Callie stated that night. Arizona was focused on her laptop.
"Huh?"
"Julie?" Callie confirmed.
"Oh. Her name was Julie?" Arizona muttered as she continued with her task. "Sorry I didn't notify you. I'll try and inform you beforehand."
"Notify me?"
"Yep." Arizona hummed.
That left Callie with her jaw opened and annoyed at the blonde which she avoided from that point on.
Having graduated with high honors, Callie was allowed to take some advance classes. But she opted not to. She wanted to study medicine. She wanted to be a doctor. But she wanted to enjoy life as well. So she didn't take one. But a classmate, let's say an almost friend does.
"Mandy!"
"What?" Miranda Bailey kept on walking but looked back at the tall brunette. "And don't call me Mandy."
"Do you want to have a drink? It's the end of the week!" Callie excitedly announced. Miranda was one of the smartest person in her class, and her lab partner.
"You do realize we have a research due next week?" Bailey muttered.
"Its extra credit. Come on, let's go for a drink!" Callie bounced on her heels.
"Did someone say a drink?" A manly voice behind her spoke up. Callie turned and noticed a tall man sauntering over and a red head and a guy with a perfect hair behind him.
Callie saw Bailey shake her head. "I was trying to ask Bailey here to drink to celebrate the weekend."
"Aren't you going to introduce us to your hot friend Bailey?" The tall man smirked.
Bailey glared at the man. "Torres, Mark Sloan. The Man-whore. If you don't want any STDs, I suggest staying away from him. That two are Addison and Derek. Good for group projects." Bailey finalized her words and kept walking.
"Miranda! I thought we are friends." Addison playfully commented. "Hi, Addison Montgomery. This is Derek Shepherd. And Miranda was right, Mark is a Man-whore." She shook Callie's hand.
Callie didn't really have a lot of friends before. She was always seen as the nerd. "Good for group projects, huh. I never heard you compliment anyone before. They might really be good." She smirked at Bailey who paused and the trio smiled at her.
"Good enough." Bailey was already stepping out of the building when Callie pleaded once more.
"Come on Mandy. Have a drink with me!" Callie playfully called her in the nickname Miranda was called by her mother which she overheard the last time she was on the phone, Callie playfully pouted excessively.
"Or with us! One drink Miranda." The red head call Addison smiled as if she won when Bailey walked with them to the nearest pub.
"Fine, whatever. But you are buying." Miranda mumbled.
"Just stay the night and I'll buy all of your drink!" Addison smirked and wrapped her arms around the smaller woman.
"It's a good thing you are a capable member of a study group." Bailey mumbled as she fixed her books in her arms when the guy with a perfect hair called Derek helped her out.
"So Torres, do you have a first name or something? Or are you in to the likes of Cher or Madonna?" Mark smirked at him. This guy was actually hot. And looks like someone who knows how to perform in bed.
When they arrived in the pub, Addison seemed like the popular girl, she was greeting everyone, waving at the waiters, the group playing by the dart table. Derek was with them in the booth while Addison greet everyone in the bar. Well, almost everyone.
The so called man whore was kind of charming. The red head and the guy with the perfect hair was sort of dating, or fucking. She didn't know which one exactly.
After Bailey was gone, Mr. Perfect hair suggested something that peaked Callie's interest.
"Want to go to a street race slash party?"
Callie participated in this kind of events before. But having someone she know, or somewhat knows, was kind of a relief. Apparently Derek is some kind of a racer himself. When he announced the event, Callie took somewhat of a likening to him. They shared the same interest.
The two men admired the car Callie brought in the street race event. Alternating driving and stepping on the gas pedal to rev it. Callie felt comfortable to this event until she saw her blonde roommate.
Having a couple of drinks in, Callie felt a magnetic force to annoy the blonde like the blonde annoyed her. Callie was not sure why she felt weird when she has this tensed banter with Arizona. But whenever she knows that she gets a rise out of the blonde, somehow makes her smirk. So maybe, just maybe she purposely leaves her mess behind, sometime move Arizona's things slightly and watch the blonde curl her brows at it, wondering why it was not in the proper place or order.
She was a little bit flirting with Mark from the bar and during the street race, certainty of sex was not enough. She wanted to piss that blonde off. Callie was leaning over her car with Mark's arms around her shoulder when she zoomed in Arizona who was hanging out with her previous hook up, Alex, another bearded guy, and a hot brunette admiring the car in their area.
Callie sauntered towards the blonde with Mark right behind her. She raised her brow when she saw the skinny brunette ran her fingers over Arizona's arms. "I was expecting you to be driving a tank, not a cute itty-bitty car."
Arizona turned to face her roommate with a tall man behind her that instantly wrapped his arm around the brunette's waist. Already mildly annoyed with Callie, Arizona stepped up closer to the brunette. "A tank?"
"Yeah, Private Barbie." Callie teased. "Ship-shaped." She smirked as she mocked Arizona with her hand gestures.
"Private Barbie? Because I want our room to be clean? And Rocky could probably win against anyone in this place with me in the driver seat." Arizona glared at her.
"Oh. Maybe." Callie scratched her chin in concentration. Then she pointed at the direction she was from. "But that beast will just smoke, what did you call your tiny car? Rocky?"
Arizona stared at the direction where Callie pointed and tried her best not to drool over the brunette's car. Then she laughed which irritated the brunette. "Just because your Daddy bought you a nice car, doesn't mean you can handle such a machine. Do you even know what the horsepower on that thing is? Or do you even know what horsepower means? RPM? Displacement?"
The blonde shot her a knowing look. This was normal for Callie. Everyone just think that she's just some daddy's girl with a nice car. But when those words came out of the blonde's mouth, she stepped forward, looking slightly down on the smaller woman who didn't back off. "V10 engine, 5.2 liters, 5204 displacement, 562 horsepower, max torque of 406, 0-60 in 3.4 seconds, and in your face."
Arizona looked up slightly and gritted her teeth. "You know that's in the website right?" She smirked. "Are you ready to put your daddy's money where your mouth is?"
Callie smiled. "I don't really need more money, my daddy has a lot. How about a deal instead?" She tried to piss of the blonde.
"What's the stake?" Arizona and Callie was still staring at each other. The bystanders were just looking back and forth towards who was talking.
"How about you clean the room all term without any objection?"
Arizona gritted her teeth. "Fine. But if I win, which I will. I get to use your car all term."
Callie weighed the pros and cons of the bet, Arizona was always cleaning anyway. And it was nice not having to clean up. But the blonde lectures her everytime. And having the blonde drive her car was not sitting well with her. But then again, she thought about it. Arizona driving her car. She'd probably clean it everyday, she took a glance over the car that's a couple of years old already that looks like in perfect shape. Plus they were living in the campus, where could the blonde go?
"Sure. Let's race then." Callie turned and swayed her hips back to her car, flagging down Derek who knew the organizers of the party and set up the race between her and the blonde. They both lined up and heard Arizona's engine. It was not the stock engine of that car, in that point, Arizona saw the look of worry in Callie's face when she revved her engine. Hearing a turbo, Callie sat up. Making sure her seat belt was on, she fixed her mirrors. This wasn't going to be an easy win. It was a 4 mile loop, 3 laps.
The loop was pretty easy, Arizona was confident in her car with an upgraded turbo, intake, and her driving skills, there was a sharp turn in the end of the loop. But unless the brunette can drift, Arizona knew she could win.
The women was head to head until that sharp turn, the blonde's jaw dropped when Callie performed a short drift, accelerated, and winked at the blonde. Arizona revved it up to catch up to Callie when she noticed the brunette seemed to slow down for her, each time she could line up to the car, Callie would smirk and sped up. In the last lap, in the sharp curve Callie looked at Arizona over her shoulders, winked and gave her a flying kiss. With that she sped up and turned her car around in the finish line as Arizona came up in the line. Their cars were facing each other when Callie stepped out of her car as hot as she can possibly do. Callie was infuriating to say the least, but Arizona was still gay, and Callie was a goddamn, hot, sexy woman.
The blonde was busy admiring the brunette, Arizona loves winning. And she was very competitive. But one thing Arizona cannot resist was a woman who can show her up. She was pouting and taking a deep breath. Stepping out of the car, Arizona watched as the tall man placed a hard kiss over the brunette's lips. Arizona placed her hands in her pocket and stayed by her car. After the kiss, Callie walked towards her. Callie and her boy toy.
"Cleaning without any complains." Callie announced as she offered her hand.
"Uh-uh." Arizona shook it reluctantly when she felt the brunette pull her. She can feel Callie's breath over her ears, Arizona almost rolled her eyes, goosebumps all over her skin.
"I'm giving you a notice now and something to clean up in the morning. So, if you want to sleep tonight, I suggest you find a place for tonight." Callie turned and let the man wrap his arm around her.
Her brother was laughing for almost a minute now. Arizona has her arms crossed and stomping her foot.
"You freaking lost!" Tim was still laughing his ass out. A month after the incident, his brother visited for a weekend since one of his afternoon Friday class cancelled and his Monday class was starting late. He decided to use his long weekend to visit his little sister.
"Shut up, Timothy. Then she went here with that statue." Arizona looked away. That caught his attention. She is bothered with losing. But it seems different. Arizona was not smiling when she told him she lost, but the way she talked about how her roommate drove was a little off.
Timothy was lying on Arizona's bed with his feet up to the window and Arizona was snooping in the small fridge for a beer. She handed a bottle to her brother and sipped her own. Arizona was still muttering about Callie when a question from her brother shook her to her core. "Is she hot?"
Grabbing the thing in front of her, Arizona threw the pillow at her brother, making him spill it a bit.
"What? It's a valid question." He shrugs as she threw him a paper towel to wipe the beer down.
As if the universe wanted to answer Timothy, the door smacked open. Tim's head shot up and stared at the intruder. He whispered a silent 'Oooh' and smiled at Arizona who placed her hands over her face.
"Oh. Hey." Callie managed a small wave at the blonde, who looked like a ken doll.
Standing up, Tim fixed his shirt and offered his hand. "Tim. Bug's brother."
She looked back at Arizona and smiled a bit. Wondering how many hearts the duo ruined with their big blue eyes and dimples. Like a typical girl-boy next door. American sweethearts. "Callie, nice to meet you."
"Great to meet you!" Tim shook her hand quite excitedly. "How about we get to know each other more? Since we are such an important people in Bug's life." He laughed out loud with the terminology and Callie laughed with him. Arizona's attitude was slowly showing, with Callie living with her, the brunette is gradually soaking in the blonde's quirks. The blonde was certainly a neat freak, she follows a certain routine, Arizona would also watch Disney movies when she's sad or tired. Most recently, a bug's life. "How about a drink at that low key pub few blocks away? Joe's?"
Callie smiled at the man and spoke the words Arizona never expected her to say. "Sure. I actually have to meet someone there, I just need to change." She nodded to the bathroom. Callie opened her closet and got some clothes and went in the bathroom.
"What the hell are you doing?" Arizona hissed as she hit Tim's shoulder.
"Ah!" He rubs the spots where her sister hit him. "I'm trying to make the two of you friends. She's your roommate. You at least have to be civil around her and not try to avoid her all the time."
That was true, Arizona admittedly had some sort of attraction to Callie. Who wouldn't? Arizona was gay, lady lovin', lesbianic, and utterly gay. Callie was obviously hot. She was like a bombshell. Her skin was glowing, not to mention her boobs, her butt, and the way she showed Arizona up. BUT! The brunette was too annoying, leaving messes around the room for her, the way she smirked at her when she leaves the toothpaste cap off, her shoes not arranged the way she wanted to, and Callie was super straight.
"She's supper annoying!"
"You are too." Tim teased. "You need to learn how to make friends." He knew how to manipulate her sister.
"I know how to make friends!" Arizona stood up and clenched her hands while stomping.
"Really? With Callie?" He hummed as he scratched his chin.
"Fine! Watch me." She sat back down and crossed her legs. She was pretty determined to prove her brother wrong when someone knocked on their door. Arizona looked at her brother who shrugs, she stood up and opened the door.
Callie's boy toy. Great. "Torres here?" The man spoke up.
"Nope." Arizona slammed the door shut and saw her brother grinning like a Cheshire cat. "Don't even." She pointed her finger at her brother.
"Didn't say anything." Tim threw his hands up. He turned when the door from the bathroom opened with a freshly washed up Callie walked out with a simple white shirt on and skinny jeans. Tim could smell her from where he was seated, which means Arizona could smell her heavenly smell too. "Ready to bounce?"
"Yeah. I just thought Mark would be here now." She mumbled while looking at her phone. Callie scrunched up her face while the trio stood up and went to the door. "Hey! There you are."
The boy toy was fidgeting with his phone when they went out. "She said-" He pointed at Arizona who glared at him, he just smirked and walked with Callie.
The brother and sister followed them. When Callie and her boy toy was far enough, Arizona look at her brother who was still grinning.
"So, Callie. Where are you from?" Tim snacked on some nuts. They were sitting in a booth near the bar, Arizona and Tim on one side, Callie and Mark on the other.
"Miami." Callie sipped her beer.
"Ooh! Party scene!" Tim cheered.
"Ha! It was quite difficult to party there. My house is a few minutes away from our university. I can only go out when my Dad is away on business. Usually for street races." She smirked at Arizona who rolled her eyes.
"Rocky was just not prepared to deal with a hundred thousand dollars of a car." Arizona squints.
Sensing a possible conflict, Tim spoke up. "So how long are you two together?"
"No!" Callie laughed and Mark smiled. "We aren't dating."
"We're friends. Good friends. Pretty good lay." Mark shrugs and Callie slapped his shoulder.
"Pretty good? Excuse me?" Callie laughed again and asked a waiter for another round. "So how come you both didn't go to the same medical school?"
"Because I'm smarter than him." Arizona teased her brother who scoffed.
"Maybe." He grinned. "But I'm much more normal than she is. She's quite the nerd and a stuck up."
"Hey!" Arizona pouted while Callie and Mark laughed.
"She is! Was she always like this? I swear to god she'd follow me around with a mop everytime I shower to wipe some water mark!"
"Bug here is wired that way. Genuinely following the rules. Always." Tim gestured his hand.
"I do not!"
"Does too!"
"I don't!"
"Then how about you do something that is not following the rules?" He gave her a sneaky smile.
"Fine! What?" Arizona gritted her teeth.
"See that table over there?" Tim pointed at the booth in the corner of the pub. "They have a tab there under Ripley. Get us a bottle of tequila."
"What?! That's stealing and fraud!"
"Weak." He teased.
Arizona crossed her arms. "I am not weak! That's just wrong."
"Come on, Robbins. It's 20 bucks. I'll pay for it if you get caught." Callie pushed. She wanted to see if the blond could actually do it.
"I'll pay for our tab now. So we can ran out after you do it blondie." The boy toy pitched in.
Arizona, being competitive is debating and weighing what to do. She got drank her beer straight up and stood up. "Okay. Let's do this." She slowly walks towards the bar and waited for the bartender to serve her.
Callie followed where the blonde was doing. She was wiping her hands on her pants, looking towards the booth and them. Callie bit her lips when the bartender handed the blonde the bottle which she quickly hid in her shirt and walked out of the bar, followed by Mark who was laughing at her, Tim held the door open for Callie.
Noticing that the bartender was watching the blonde, Callie threw her head back and walked towards the bar. "Here, that's enough to cover the cost of the bottle."
Arizona was still running with her 'stolen' tequila bottle, Tim was wooing all over the place, Mark was on his phone and looked at Callie. "Have to go Torres. Need to get to Addie's."
"You still on that? Callie asked as Arizona and Tim watched them. He shrugs and waved a cab. Callie focused on her roommate and her brother. "How about another challenge, Robbins?"
Callie groaned and tried to stretch her arms when she felt someone beside her. She opened one of her eye and saw Arizona lying on her back beside her, hugging a bottle of beer. She looked over the blonde's bed where her brother was sprawled out. This was the first time she really noticed the features of the blonde when they are not face to face yelling at each other. Her face, her skin, her lips. The blonde was really beautiful.
What the hell, Callie?!
She slowly lifted the arm off Arizona's stomach. Naked stomach. During the night, Arizona's shirt must have ridden up.
"Ugh. What the fuck." She heard the man grunt.
Callie quickly and quietly curl up, and jumped over the blonde. She quickly jumped in the bathroom and looked at the mirror. "What the fuck happened last night?"
