Janet was exhausted from the past weeks but the Ori plague was gone. A lot of people had lost their lives but it could have been a lot worse if they had been stranded in the alternative universe or if General Landry hadn't graciously given them the cure.

"Aunt Janet! Can we get ice cream?" A little voice asked as the back car door opened making Janet jump a little. The teacher assistant was helping the five year old get in car with her cast on her leg and buckle up.

"I think you woke your Aunt up, little bean." Martouf chuckled from the drivers seat.

"Sorry! Can we?" The child grinned.

Hannah Grace Carter O'Neill looked just like Sam with Jack's big brown eyes. Her smile was both parents. She was incredibly smart.

A older lady rushed out to the car before the assistant could shut the door. It was Hannah's teacher Mrs. Chapell.

"Hannah I noticed you have that you are bringing your baby brother on the sheet for show and tell next Friday. I wanted to remind you not to really bring in your baby brother just a picture. Nothing alive is allowed to come to show and tell. We've had to many screaming siblings and pets getting away in the past. So now we just do pictures." Explained Mrs. Chapell.

"Oh she has lots of pictures with her little brother she can bring in! We'll let her parents know so they can print out one for her." Janet smiled.

"I think I want to bring in my new doll uncle Martouf is going to get me today in next Friday. I'll bring in a picture of JJ next week." Hannah decided thoughtfully.

"OK I'll change it on the list." Mrs. Chapell smiled as she stepped back so the assistant could shut the car door.

"Have a good day, Hannah!" The assistant smiled as she shut the door.

"So you think you're going to get ice cream and a new doll today?" Martouf asked as he pulled out of the school's pick up line.

"Yes please!" Hannah giggled.

"What do you say Janet you feel like some ice cream?" He tried to hide a smile.

"I could go for a cone." Janet agreed.

"Sweet!" Hannah cheered.

They were so close to losing that sweet little girl twice no one wanted to think about it.

"What makes your Earth more important than mine?" Janet asked angrily. She dug around in her jacket until she found the thin object and pulled it out. She handed General Landry the folded photo she kept hidden in the lining of her jacket. He unfolded the photo a older girl he recognized as Dr. Frasier's adopted daughter smiling at the camera with a smaller girl that sat in between the young woman's legs. The little girl was also recognizably. Blonde wavey hair, big bright brown eyes and a big O'Neill grin with Colonel Carter's lips that had been stained by the red popsicle melting in her small hand."That's my daughter Cassie and that is Hannah O'Neill she's five years old and when I left her and General O'Neill had tested positive for the virus. Sam couldn't go in quarantine with her because she just gave birth to a baby boy three weeks ago because she got in a bad car wreck. The car wreck also caused Hannah to have a broken leg. Teal'c was staying with her but she still cried. Please General Landry we can't lose that precious little girl and her father." Janet begged. General Landry closed his eyes. He knew there was something between Jack and his Colonel Carter but because of rules they couldn't follow through must have been different on Dr. Frasier's Earth. He knew if this was his team in the same situation they would do anything to get home. Janet was so angry as she left Landry's office. She understood but she also wanted to cry. She walked back into the VIP room to see Daniel, Mitchell, and Martouf sitting at a table."What'd he say?" Mitchell ask"We have to hope the others come up with something before his team completes their mission." Her voice cracked. Daniel stood up and hugged her."Poor Sam I know she is worried sick about Hannah and Jack and now we just disappear without warning." Janet sniffed into Daniel's chest."Their Samantha almost kissed me." Martouf declared."What!""No!""You're kidding!"Came their responses all at once."She said that my Samantha Carter must be trying to figure some way to stop the plague. I told her that she hadn't been my Samantha in a long time and she leaned in to kiss me but the Asgard interrupted. She didn't seem to know who our Samantha ended with which is really strange because most of the Samantha's here are with Jack. Like it's meant to be with them." Martouf explained."Where is Jack in this universe?" Daniel frowned."Their Daniel told me Washington D.C." Janet said."They are making things difficult for themselves aren't they?" Mitchell frowned.

"You keep drifting off today. Are you ok?" Martouf asked concerned.

"I'm fine! Just thinking about the past few weeks." Janet nodded.

Martouf looked in the mirror at Hannah before turning into the ice cream place. After parking Martouf got out of the car and went around to help Hannah out of her seat.

"You're not a little bean anymore are you? Maybe I should call you little sprout now!" Martouf grinned as he put Hannah on his hip being careful with her leg that wore a hot pink cast and black walking boot.

"But I'm you're little bean! I don't want to be a sprout!" Hannah brust into tears. Everyone in the parking lot was staring.

"Alright Hannah talk to us what's going on?" Janet rubbed Hannah's back. The little girl never cried over something like this before.

" I don't want JJ to be your bean I'm your bean." Hannah sniffed.

Even though Hannah loves her little brother dearly there definitely was a jealousy factor going on. It didn't help that her mom had to stay with him instead of her when she was sick in the hospital with the plague. Now she thought Martouf was going to change her nickname and give it to the baby, JJ.

"Hannah I'm not going to give the baby your nickname ever. You have just grown up so much I was suggesting we change it because beans grow into sprouts. I thought it would be funny but it didn't turn out very funny. I'm very sorry little bean!" Martouf apologized as he hugged her tightly.

"It's OK I just really like being your little bean" Hannah hugged him back.

"Did I tell you how you got that nickname?" Martouf asked as they walked into the ice cream shop.

"From Grandpa Jacob calling me banana bean?" Hannah shrugged. The ice cream shop was hectic. It was after school on a Friday which probable was a bad idea.

"While sort of..." He started when Janet touched Martouf on the arm.

"I'm going find a table so we'll have somewhere to eat our ice cream. I'll take a scoop of mint chocolate chip on a surgar cone, please. You want to come with me banana?" Janet reached for Hannah. Hannah laid her head on Martouf's chest.

"I have her." He chuckled.

Janet smiled. Hannah had the men wrapped around her cute little hand. She walked over to the table area and frowned at her choices, which weren't many.

Martouf went to stand in the line.

"So how did I get my nickname?" Hannah sat up in his arms.

"Well your Grandfather came to visit and we were eating in the mess hall when your mom and dad came in the mess hall with the biggest smiles on their faces. Your mom came up to the table and handed your Grandfather a grainy black and white picture. I don't think I had ever seen your Grandfather so happy he jumped up and hugged your parents. They were celebrating and I wasn't sure what I was looking at on the picture. Your Grandfather pointed to a spot on the picture said that little bean right there is my grandchild. I was thrilled for your parents because I know they wanted you more than anything in the world." Martouf spoke softly so no one in the line could hear but the grinning girl in his arms.

"I like that story!" Hannah giggled.

"I haven't even told you my favorite part!" He bounced her.

"What's that?" Hannah turned to see how close they were to the ice cream. They still had four people ahead of them. She turned back and waited for Martouf to continue.

"As you grew so did your mom every time I would ask how's little bean she would smile big and say growing. You grew and grew and I got to feel you kick your mom before anyone even your dad. You grew and grew some more and we had a big party to find out you were going to be a baby girl. You grew and grew and just when your mom thought she was going to pop you were born. Everyone was passing you around calling you Hannah banana but when your dad put you in my arms. You were so small I took one look at you and said hello little bean and you know what happened?" Martouf asked Hannah.

"No what happened?" Hannah asked excitedly.

"You smiled at me! Your uncle Daniel and Aunt Janet told me it was gas but I knew it was because you like being called little bean." Martouf grinned.

"I like being called little bean very much! Now let's get ice cream!" Hannah said noticing it was her turn.

"Let's do it!" Martouf chuckled.
