Sam smiled down at the six week old baby boy eating from her breast. He looked so much like Jack except his eyes were blue, Sam wasn't sure if they were going to stay that color or not and he was bald. She would be starting back to work soon. It made her excited and a little sad. She loved her job but leaving her babies the first couple of weeks was always hard for her. She was glad to know Jack would be home with the kids every time she went through the gate. If something happened to her they would be taken care. Sam could hear the guys in the kitchen laughing. She was so glad not only did her team get home safe but they came back with a cure for the plague. She didn't know what she would have done if she lost Hannah or Jack.
"Sam you want something to drink?" Daniel stuck his head in the room.
"Just water please!" Sam smiled. She could smell Jack had started the grill.
Daniel came in carrying a tray full of beer and water. He carefully sat the tray on the coffee table. Sam had just finished feeding JJ and had him on her shoulder burping him. JJ let out a large burp then settled on Sam's shoulder to sleep.
"Excuse you!" Sam chuckled as she moved JJ down a little so she could sit back comfortably on the couch.
"He's defiantly a little Jack!" Daniel smiled.
"He is such a laid back baby. I love Hannah but she was such a fussy baby." Sam rubbed JJ's back.
"Considering how he came into the world." Daniel shook his head.
They had been in the briefing room when the soaking wet man ran into the room. The guard the stairs stop the man."General O'Neill it's about your wife Colonel Carter O'Neill!" The man said quickly."Let him in!" Jack ordered.The short man's blonde hair dripped into his glasses. His white polo shirt clung to him and so did his blue jeans. He was standing firm but his hand that had a red substance on it shook slightly."My name is Airman Jax Riddly I was on my way to work when I saw a car run a red light and hit a silver SVU. I stopped and the car pulled off and left the scene. I was able to get the car's plate info and called the police. I went to check on the person in the SVU and I recognized your wife, sir. I was able to get her to wake up and she begged me to come get you. I waited until the ambulance arrived and then gave the plate info to another witness and came to get you. I know I could get punished for leaving the scene before the police came but if it was my wife I know I would want someone to come get me if it was my pregnant wife and daughter in the car." Riddly finished."Where is the accident?" Jack was feeling his pockets for his keys."On Willow and Maine.""OK Mitchell call General Hammond and inform him what's going on and ask him to come take care of things here. Riddly go back to the accident and tell the police everything you know about the bastards car that hit my family. The rest of you are dismissed." Jack ordered then ran in to his office to grab his wallet from his desk."Jack let's go grab Janet from the infirmary maybe she can help and I'll drive you!" Daniel stepped in front of Jack."I will come also." Teal'c insisted.Jack nodded as he stepped around Daniel.The rain had stopped by the time they arrived at the wreck. The back door where Hannah usually sat was crushed in, glass and fluids everywhere. Police, firetrucks, and ambulances were at the scene. Jack looked sick. The fire department had popped the door open and they were getting Hannah out of car."Go check on Hannah I'll go look for Sam." Janet said as they got out of Jack's truck. Teal'c followed Janet"That's my daughter!" Jack demanded as a police officer tried to stop him."Is she allergic to any foods or medications?" One of the firemen asked."No allergies." Jack said as he stepped closer to the stretcher. His strong beautiful little girl looked so fragile laying on the stretcher. Her head was stabilized so she couldn't move. Tiny cuts covered her face from the broken glass and the side of her head was bleeding.The ambulance from the base arrived. Hannah was born with naquda in her blood and couldn't be treated just anywhere."Daddy?" Hannah called."I'm right here angel!" Jack put on a smile before he stepped into her view."That car hit us daddy! Why'd he do that my head and leg hurt really bad!" She cried."Don't worry about that baby daddy will take of that man." Jack said darkly."He wore what you and mommy wear to work.""A uniform? Like this Nanner?" Mitchell walked up with Airman Riddly who had changed into his uniform."Yes. That's the nice man that stayed with us until help came." Hannah sniffed."Anytime sweetie." Riddly smiled softly. His blonde hair now curled and they could see his grey eyes."Are you going to ride in ambulance with her?" The paramedic asked."I need to make sure my wife is OK and then I will ride with her." Jack frowned."I'll ride with her." Mitchell offered."I want daddy!" Hannah fussed."Did you know I had to wear one of things you have on your neck?" Mitchell asked."You did? Why?" Hannah asked as the firefighters headed for the ambulance.Mitchell began to tell her about his accident as he followed her to the ambulance.Jack pinched the bridge of his nose tightly."O'Neill, Samantha needs you!" Teal'c hurried up to them.Teal'c lead them to an ambulance. Jack opened the back door and climbed in."OK Sam your little man is on the way when the contraction comes you push!" Janet instructed."Janet I can't! I want to sit up!" Sam began to pant.Like Hannah they had Sam so she could not move. She would have to deliver the baby flat on her back in the ambulance."Hey can't is not even in your vocabulary!" Jack went to her side. He took her hand."Jack!" Sam smiled. She began to pant harder."Alright Sam push!" Janet ordered.Sam gripped Jack's hand and let out a cry."Good job baby, you're so strong!" Jack soothed."Good job, Sam! Take some breathes another contraction will be soon." Janet said"Jack that car didn't even put their brakes on I heard Hannah scream right before it hit us. Is Hannah OK she was awake when they got me out of the car?" Sam asked quickly."She has a head ache and her leg hurts. They were getting her in the ambulance when I came to see you. She's strong like her mom so she's going to be OK." Jack rubbed her knuckles gently. Another contraction came and Sam pushed again with a cry."It hurts I can't, Jack!" Sam wimpered."His head is out Sam! Pant and give me small pushes to get his shoulders out." Janet instructed."Jacob's almost here and we can finally see what he looks like." Jack soothed as he looked down at Sam."His name is Jonathan! I told you I wanted to name him after you!" Sam grunted."You were serious about that? I thought we decided on Jacob!" Jack frowned."Why would I joke about that Jack! Come on Janet is he coming? Sam moaned and continued to pant." He's coming Sam, he's just a big boy. Even three weeks early. Just a couple more pushes and he's here. Sam pushed again."Jack, please I want him to be named after you!" Sam cried."How about Jonathan Jacob and we call him JJ?" Jack wiped some tears from her face. Sam pushed again and the ambulance was filled with the infants cries."Great job Sam!" Janet cleaned the baby's nose, mouth and cut the cord. She then handed the baby to Jack to show Sam."Geez Sam he's got to weigh nine pounds! You're my hero!" Jack showed the newborn to Sam."Hi my baby JJ!" Sam cooed. Jack walked to the ambulance's back door and showed his infant to Daniel and Teal'c."He's beautiful Sam, you did amazing!" Daniel cheered from the door."He will be a great protector one day! Well done Samantha!" Teal'c grinned."Thanks guys!" Sam called." OK let's get mom and baby to the hospital to get checked over." Janet ordered.Teal'c and Daniel stepped away from the ambulance so they could close the door and drive away.
"Hey Danny boy! Where did you go?" Jack waved his hand in front of Daniel's face. Jack then sat besides Sam and she leaned into him.
"I was just thinking. That reality we were in was really strange." Daniel said.
"How so?" Sam asked as Jack took JJ from Sam.
"Well for one you two weren't even in a relationship. Jack wasn't in charge a General Hank Landry was." Daniel shrugged.
"That Jack must have been a very unhappy man. General Hank Landry will be taking my post next week. I'm retired again I'm going to have my on adventures with an infant and kindergartner. Hank is a good guy you'll do fine" Jack smiled as JJ lifted his head and turned to look at Jack.
"That's not that strange." Sam said.
"There were also eighteen Sams!" Daniel added.
"Wish I had gone now!" Jack chuckled.
Sam pinched him playfully. The door bell rang.
