Chapter 13

THIS CHAPTER IS ALL POISONED MOTIVE.

HEADS UP 5-6 MORE CHAPTERS. I WILL BE SKIPPING QUICKLY THROUGH SOME SEASONS AND WILL END THE ENTIRE STORY WITH SURRENDERING NOAH. I HAVE IT IN MY HEAD WAS NEVER MY INTENTION TO GO TOO FAR, JUST FAR ENOUGH.

Amanda was the lead investigator on the case that led a sex trafficker being arrested. The entire squad walked out with reporters and photographers snapping photos and yelling out questions.

Amanda and Fin were close as Amanda put the woman in the car. Nick and Olivia got in one car, while Amanda and Fin got in another. A shot rang out and Amanda was hit. She fell back and slid down the car, slumping over. Fin yelled, "Amanda!"

While Fin applied pressure to her shoulder wound, Nick and a terrified Olivia ran to the nearby rooftop looking for the shooter. Fin called in "10-13, officer shot." Nick and Olivia got to the rooftop to find nothing, but saw Fin pick Amanda up and drive off. Olivia was in shock, "Nick, that's a lot of blood." Nick holds Olivia, "She's too badass for anything to happen. Come on let's go to the hospital."

When Nick and Olivia reached the hospital, they saw Cragen and Fin. Fin had so much blood on him. Olivia was scared of the answer but she asked, "Is she ok?" Fin explained, "The bullet hit muscle and came straight out of her back. She won't have any permanent damage Liv. She's definitely a little loopy on the meds."

They all went in to see her. She was laying in the bed, "It doesn't hurt." Cragen was looking concerned, "Amanda, I have to ask, could this be linked to any of your gambling debts." Amanda sighed, "Cap I haven't and I don't owe anything. Tell him Liv." Olivia explained her debts are paid and Amanda hasn't been gambling. Cragen looked at Olivia, "Stay with her, we will see what we can find."

While Olivia stayed with Amanda, Cragen and Fin headed out to meet Nick and Munch at the squad. Fin happened to see his former Lieutenant from Narcotics, "Lt. Howard, are you ok?" She was clearly upset, "My son was shot and rushed to surgery." Cragen became suspicious and the doctor came out to talk to Howard. "Fin your parter, your old supervisor's son? We aren't looking at Amanda, we're looking for someone connected to you."

The next few days, the squad worked the case and Amanda was finally released. Olivia found out how much of a baby Amanda could be. They fit her with a shoulder sling and gave her pain meds. "I'm not wearing this big black sling Liv and I'm not taking that nasty medicine. It makes me feel weird." Olivia rolled her eyes, "You will wear the sling and trust me when the pain hits you will take the meds."

They headed home and Olivia explained, "I've got soup, snacks, and all kinds of drinks. I went to the store yesterday for you. I also have the whole week off to take care of you." Olivia unlocked the door, "How about I give you a sponge bath, feed you, and hold you until you fall asleep. She was completely shocked when Amanda agreed to it all. They were watching TV and Amanda kept twisting and wincing, "Baby I want you to take the pills. I don't want you in pain. I will be right here to take care of you." Olivia got the meds in her and she fell asleep fast.

While Olivia took the week to help Amanda start to recover, the squad found more evidence that pointed to a grudge against Fin. Cragen made a suggestion, "Go over the old cases, see what comes up." Fin decided the best thing would be to call his old partner Luis who he lost contact with. As Fin and Nick arrive at Luis Montero's apartment, "Nick I'm embarrassed to be here. This man took a bullet meant for me and I have spoken to him in years." Gloria, his daughter, answered the door, "Oh my goodness Gloria!" She looks at them both and invites them in, "Dad! You have visitors." Fin hugged Luis, "It's been too long. I'm sorry." Luis told Fin his wife died and Gloria moved in to help, but is now in the academy. They started talking about the past after Fin explained what was going on. Nick and Fin ended up visiting Attica State Prison for the man who shot at Fin and his partner. Everything is a dead end.

The next week Olivia returned to work, with Amanda in tow. Cragen narrowed his eyes at both of them, "Captain, I couldn't take it another day. I will sit at my desk and help anyway I can." Amanda smiled and Olivia commented, Captain she's a charmer." With all hands on deck, they had it, "All roads lead right to Gloria. Sorry Fin." Gloria left a trail of dead people in her way and a massive manhunt.

Gloria was mad at the world. But most definitely NYPD. She felt that after her mother died, they dropped her family and turned their backs on them. She was finally taken alive and that's really all her father cared about. Fin looked up and saw Amanda, "You shouldn't be here." Amanda put her good arm around Fin, "When I heard you went in the house, I had to come. Fin you have always been here for me since I got here. You're my partner and I'm always here for you."

Amanda hugged Fin and walked over to a waiting Liv, "Amanda let's go home." They went home to rest. Olivia looked at her, "You look tired baby. How about we take a bath and you can soak that arm." Olivia helped her out of her sling and into the tub. "I'm going to grab clothes for both of us and I'll be back. Olivia kissed the top of her head and head to got her surprise ready.

For weeks Olivia had an engagement ring for Amanda, she was waiting for a special moment, but seeing her get shot scared the hell out of her. She just wanted to put it on her finger. She took rose petals and made a heart on her side of the bed, then put the open box in the middle. That way she could see it when she walked out. She walked back into the bathroom, "Liv the water will be cold before you get in." Olivia dropped her robe and was completely naked. "Holy shit Liv! I think I came in the tub." Olivia laughed.

She helped Amanda sit forward and Amanda winced, "It's still sore huh? It's healed on the outside." Olivia sat down behind her and rubbed soap on Amanda's back, to her front. She ran her fingers near her ribs to her stomach, "Liv that tickles." Olivia smiled moving her hands down her stomach, into the water, and rubbed in her folds. "Does that tickle?" Amanda was pushing hard against Liv, her back was pressed to her front, "No." Amanda said completely out of breath. Once Amanda found her release, Olivia held her. "We need to get out."

Olivia climbed out first, then helped Amanda out. She was so gentle and careful, "Liv why do you love me so much?" Olivia dried her off and handed her the clothes, "Because you are everything I wanted and didn't even know it." Amanda smiled, "Wait Liv watch this." Amanda put her arm up and in her shirt alone." Olivia smiled, "Wow look at you, trying to get off desk duty."

Once they were changed, they walked into the bedroom. Amanda walked closer and cuffed her hands over her mouth, "Liv!" Amanda picked up the ring and slid it on her finger. Olivia came up behind her, hugging her, "I love you and don't ever forget it." They climbed in bed and held each other through the night.
