Chapter 17
STARTING WITH BETRAYAL'S CLIMAX AND MOVING TO WEDNESDAY'S CHILD. I WILL TOUCH ON COMIC PERVERSION AND GRIDIRON SOLDIER. I'M SKIPPING GAMBLER'S FALLACY FOR OBVIOUS REASONS AT THIS POINT AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN UNTIL WE GET TO THOUGHT CRIMINAL.
When they got home they ate, showered, and talked about everything except work. Amanda still felt Olivia wasn't happy. "Liv, I know you're stressed." Olivia pulled Amanda in her arms and held her. It was still both of their favorite things. No matter what the day was like Olivia held Amanda every night. "And you think acting up, makes it less stressful?" Amanda shut her eyes, "I'm sorry! It just came out." Olivia kissed the top of her head, "I know, but we have to be careful we're married and I want us both to stay at SVU." Amanda understood, one wrong move and now it was an easy transfer.
Amanda got up and looked in her bag and pulled out a stack of papers. "Liv, I did something without you the other day." Amanda stood there with papers in her hand looking nervous. "Amanda, what is that and what did you do?" Amanda walked to the bed and handed her the papers, "Remember when we went to that sperm bank? I was thinking about kids and what we talked about. You want kids right?" Olivia looked at the papers, they were matches. The doctor did several test on me, said it would be easy, with my age and all these medical terms. If you want to carry the baby, you need to go in. What are you thinking?" Amanda waited, "I never wanted to force this on you." Amanda smiled, "We could definitely spoil a baby Liv. Just don't forget I'm your first baby." Olivia smiled, "Of course you are." They talked about Amanda being the best fit to carry the baby.
A few weeks passed and the entire squad was sitting watching Fin officially become Sergeant Tutuola. They watched as he was sworn in, got his certificate, and was photographed. Amanda was all out of sorts, "Baby are you ok?" Before she can answer Liv gets a text, "Nick we've got to go missing teenager. Parents came home to the place trashed and robbed." Amanda looked at them, "Go I'll stay with Fin and we will meet you at the squad."
Olivia and Nick headed to the home with the incident. "I'm glad I have my partner back." Nick smiled and they pulled up and went inside to speak to the parents. "Avery would have never thrown a party." Olivia and Nick knew that most of the time, parents had no idea what their child would do when left alone. They found out that she has been in a relationship with a kid from the projects. "His name is Manny. Seems like a nice boy, just doesn't have the money." The mom told them.
Olivia and Nick headed back to SVU and met Amanda and Fin. Fin was still in his uniform, "You look great, how about you run lead?" Fin laughs out loud, "No thanks boss. What do we have?" Olivia brought them up to speed. They did their research realizing time was short, they had a missing young girl and young boy. "Are we sure they aren't hanging out?" Fin speaks up, "Doubt it. Manny and Avery are both in the gifted school, but Manny is known to also run with BX9 the local gang.
They got a call and found Avery ready to jump off of a building and end her life. It turns out she was gang raped by members of BX9 and Manny was forced to watch. The story just doesn't fit and when Manny refuses to talk it makes it all the more complicated. Nick and Fin help Manny to see the gang doesn't have his back, but when he turns in them, he is killed. "Liv that girl will never be the same." Amanda sits on the couch and cries in Olivia's arm for 30 minutes. Olivia holds her, but this isn't Amanda. "You've been different for weeks. Do you want to tell what's going on?" Amanda looked at her wife, "I'm pregnant!" Olivia smiles and grabs Amanda's face kissing her.
The cases kept coming as always, they were all sitting around the squad when another call came in "Nicky Moore age 7, went missing from his home." Olivia looked at Amanda. She was tired and had been so sick, but they were keeping it to themselves for now. "Come on Nick let's get this one." They arrived at the home, "Liv I'm not complaining, I'm so glad to be back, but we are taking every case, they are going to get jealous after a while." Olivia laughed, "This may be high profile. The dad works at the U.N."
They find out that Nicky is from Soviet Georgia and was adopted by the Moore's 2 years ago. He is also quite a handful. The biggest issue is he is insulin dependent and his pump only holds 3 days. They needed to find him and fast. Hearing all of the details, she calls Fin, "I need y'all here immediately." They all go back to the squad with the parents, 12 hours later, things aren't adding up. Turned out the mom gave him away, the father was gone and Nicky was too much to handle.
With time running out they get a lead and look for Roger Pearson. This was a tough one, because technically the mom didn't endanger the child, but they needed to find him. Instead of Roger, they find his girlfriend who leads the police to a hotel. They find 2 young girls and a baby, but no Nicky. Amanda smiles as she watches Olivia comfort the baby, change his diaper, and hold him until ACS arrives. Olivia sadly hands him over, "He's a sweet one." She shakes it off and they keep looking for Nicky. They end up finding him unconscious on a plane to Georgia. He was confused and trying to go home.
Olivia got in late and found Amanda curled up in bed. "How are you feeling?" Amanda smiled, "Better, now that you're here." Olivia sighs, "I have to go to family court tomorrow and report findings on Baby Boy Doe. I can't believe that someone did that to a baby, he has to belong to someone." Amanda knew she had bonded with him already. Amanda joined Olivia in court, the baby was put into Children's Services and declared a destitute child.
The next case really rubbed Olivia the wrong way. A popular comedian was traveling to universities doing standup about rape and demeaning women. Nothing made her happier than arresting him when he was accused of raping a college student.
The case after that hit Rollins close to home. A football star from her hometown came for a free trip to New York. He technically was committed to Georgia Tech, but decided to look at Hudson University. When the team found out he had no intention in signing, they played a nasty trick on him. He thought he was getting attention from a cheerleader, which was partially true, but when the blindfold came off, it was a make cheerleader. It actually wasn't a SVU case initially and Olivia was mad that Amanda looked into it. "Amanda don't wear yourself out." They actually find a rape case after all. Amanda and Fin help solve it and out an end to it all.
Olivia looked at a tired Amanda, "You're lucky it turned out to be a real case. I was mad at you. Amanda smiled, "Well don't be mad we have our appointment tomorrow." Olivia unbuttoned Amanda's shirt, "Clothes won't hide this bump for long. We should tell them." Olivia rubbed Amanda's belly softly and kissed it. Amanda moaned, "That feels good." She moved up licking around her nipple, "Still sore baby." Amanda giggled, "Yeah a little. My whole body's changing."
Amanda was beyond frustrated and got on top of Olivia, "How about, I give your body all the attention, I can't have." She reached in the drawer and pulled out the vibrator. She turned it on the lowest setting and touched each nipple and dragged it down her body. She watched Olivia squirm and jump as she moved it through her wet folds. "Amanda shit, just fuck me." Amanda smiled, "Ok." She pushed it in slowly and pulled it out, leaving the tip in. Amanda got wet seeing all of her juices on it. She turned it up all the way and when Olivia's back arched off the bed and she screamed "Fuck Amanda!" She knew it was all good. "I love you Liv."
The appointment went great and it was time to tell them. Olivia asked for some backup with 1PP. when they got to the squad, Fin and Nick were looking at them. Amanda thought they walked into something tense, "Hey guys. Everything ok?" Fin spoke up, "Liv did you forget to tell us something?" He pointed to her office, "Who is Dominick Carisi?" Nick laughed, "Oh wait Fin you forgot, it's Sonny." Olivia shook her head, "Cut it out now!" Fin stood up, "Liv he's a fresh fish, 3 months off of patrol." She rolled her eyes, "I asked for an experienced detective. Great." Nick held his hands up, "Why do we need anyone?" Amanda finally spoke up, "Because I'm pregnant and pretty sure I'll be riding the desk. Ok?" They both hugged her while Olivia met her new detective.
Carisi was ok, but no one liked the name "Sonny". Nick asked Fin, "Want to go out for a drink?" Fin apologized, "Sorry dude. Melinda is waiting for me." Amanda and Olivia smiled, they saw him in the building a lot. Carisi spoke up, "I will." Nick shook his head, "Come on." Olivia and Amanda headed home.
Months passed and so did cases. They were all different, but it felt the same. Olivia and Amanda kept up with Baby Boy Doe and showed up to every court case. They were both hoping for a happy ending. Every court date didn't seem that way. He bounced from foster home to foster home. Most weren't good. After one day in court they even asked if they could sit and visit with him. They explained to the case worker that they found him. Amanda and Olivia were so loving and caring.
Olivia was glad to have Carisi, he had come a long way and Amanda was 6 months pregnant. The last case that involved one Simon Wilkes went terribly wrong. He was a photographer who had fantasies that involved harming children. As sick as he was, he hadn't actually done anything wrong and he was cut loose. The entire situation didn't sit right with Nick.
