Chapter 19

Azora woke and once more winced as her head pains grew steadily worse as memories started to get slightly foggy but she forced herself to remember them and sighed almost in delight as they became clear. The memories of her time with her father were the ones that were becoming foggy ands she never wanted to lose those. She slowly looked around, feeling the pain of what Alarka did to her body as she shifted but she withheld her pained whimper just in case anyone overheard her and informed the damned dracul. Azora sensed that she was alone and was at least thankful that she had some privacy.

Azora looked at the chain that held her and sighed in slight relief as she recognized that the metal couldn't be melted easily but wasn't impossible, especially with plasma fire. She wouldn't risk it now and so thought about a plan. The possibility of her losing her mind slowly to madness but the fact she was resisting was something that could help her trick her captors into trusting her. They had no idea she could resist the madness even if it was slight so if she acted slightly confused each and every day they came to this room, they would slowly believe that she was losing her mind faster than she actually was.

As a plan formed, she suddenly thought about what she said to Alarka about Toothless being the only being to bring her the pleasure she wanted and realized that it was the truth. She only ever wanted Toothless and he would always have her heart. She smiled with this revelation but the smile quickly disappeared as she realized that Toothless would need to find out a way to kill Alarka before she could be free to give herself to Toothless completely. The forced mating connection was a false one but never the less would almost act like a real one just less intense.

Oh she felt his connection to her soul but she knew the first soul that lingered with hers would keep him at bay. She realized that while Toothless never officially mated her, he gave his soul to her once he admitted his love. It was not a true mate bond but more like an intended's protection bond. Her papa told her about them if dragons were split apart during storms and the such before a true bond could be formed. It slightly protected the soul of dragons in case they needed protection from the controlling Aresha's and Adiish's, the Queens and Kings that fell to madness and made dragons lose their freedom.

Azora suddenly heard the door unlocking to her room and quickly made her face blank. Her plan was about to start. She looked at the wall blankly as she heard the feet of Alarka and the king walking up to her to where they were in her field of vision. "Hello Azora," the king said in a commanding tone.

Azora tilted her head acting confused as she said in a monotone voice, "Azora?"

The king and Alarka looked at each other in slight satisfaction as they heard the slight confusion in her voice. "That is your name my Aabinus Abha." Alarka said in a fake gently tone that almost made Azora cringe at the pet name he had for her.

She had to applaud herself silently as she held her composure. "I do not remember you." She directed her eyes to Alarka making them narrow as if she suspected him. "I know nothing about you." She added some sarcasm to her tone. "How do I know you aren't lying about my name?"

"I would give you another if it appeases you." the king said.

Azora looked at him and pretended to look him up and down as if judging his truthfulness. "I would rather not be given a name on a whim." She looked away dismissing them both as she pretended to think. She took a couple minutes and then said, "I'll go by Avia." She looked back at the two.

Alarka smirked at her. "Why that name?" He purred.

Azora really wanted to get sick but she knew if she did, they would know immediately that she was up to something. "It means desired." She looks into Alarka's eyes pushing as much desperate feelings into them as she could to make her explanation plausible as possible. "To be desired almost calls to me. Yet I do not know why."

As soon as Azora saw the king nod at her explanation, she knew she had successfully convinced them. As he and Alarka nodded to each other, they walked to the door to talk quietly. Azora didn't bother trying to listen in as she needed to clear her mind in what was to come. She knew that Alarka would force himself upon her again and it would be the ultimate test for her monotone acting composure.

Alarka and the king seemed to agree on something and as Azora feared, the king left and all that was left was just her and Alarka once more in the room. "You look delectable today my dear Aabinus." He purred gently as he waltzed to her side, licking her ear in a nearly loving fashion.

She wanted to shudder in revulsion but instead asked, "What is it you are doing?"

Alarka chuckled darkly and whispered, "Showing you how we were once before."

Azora then went deep into her mind for the next several hours as Alarka had his way with her and she pretended to enjoy the way he used her.

'Just a few more days,' she thought to herself as she succumbed to the torture put upon her body.

Alarka emerged from the room after Azora passed out, fully satisfied in both body and mind. As the door shut behind him, he thought about how he enjoyed her spirit and fighting before she succumbed to her mind breaking. It was almost exciting before while now it was just pleasure. 'Oh well.' He thought as he walked to his king's room. He walked the darkened halls with ease, snarling at each person that he came across until he finally reached the master bedroom of his king and with only a small nudge, he entered the room, closing the door behind him.

The king was sitting at his desk that was by an ornate window and across from a king sized bed. He was busy writing something but stopped once Alarka came to sit at his feet. "What do you think of your new pet Alarka?" He asked just giving Alarka a glance before continuing his writing.

"She is satisfactory my king." He rumbled.

"Good. Now that her mind is crushed, she has no attachment to those eggs she carries. Now we have no worry about a raging mother once they are laid."

"Potentially, my king."

"Potentially?" The king asked as his writing stopped and the pun put away. "What makes you say that?"

Alarka did not look at the king, for a being such as him was not allowed to do so in the kings private quarters. "While she may not remember the being that gave her those eggs, the instinct might override her mind and still protect them. She will most likely think they are my eggs and allow me near her but I doubt she will allow anyone to take them from her."

The king sat back in thought. "We need those eggs alive no matter what." He got up and went over to the bed. "We will manipulate her to hate the eggs then. Tell her a fabrication of the truth. That you discovered her being taken and made pregnant by an aggressive male fury. You rescued her and will take care of her. You will promise her that you will take care of the eggs once they are laid but do not reveal how you would take care of them."

"Yes my king."

"Now get to your bed and sleep. We have a lot of planning to get done and this needs to be as flawless as possible if we want to manipulate this female to our side."

Alarka bowed and went to an adjoining room that held his bed and soon, fell asleep with plans rampaging in his mind on how he will conquer his female.

Hiccup worked at the forge for the next hour and finally finished the necklace. He sighed as the polishing took longer than he would've thought but it was finally done. As he packed it into a soft cloth and into a side bag, he thought about all the ways that might go wrong on this rescue. He has conquered a dragon before but a king with another nightfury was another matter entirely. He would need to make sure Toothless' tail fin would be secure enough to avoid any accidents and also make sure that the plan of rescue went well but the fact that almost nothing went according to plan, he wasn't too optimistic that there wouldn't be any repercussions.

He walked out of the forge, squinting at the light before heading towards his home. He noticed Toothless and Maaran outside and quickly went up to them saying, "I finished the necklace."

Toothless looked at Hiccup and nodded. "Great. Now we can get going." He said.

Maaran also nodded. "We have mostly every dragon and Viking ready to go."

"Mostly?" Hiccup asked.

"Some of the female dragons are staying behind due to the gas that was released by the pirate. They don't want to risk themselves if they are carrying any eggs."

Hiccup nodded in understanding. "We won't make them go."

Toothless sighed. "We have a total of 200 going with us plus a couple of your ships."

"The ships are mostly for supplies but some Vikings feel more comfortable on a ship for the long journey." Maaran said.

Stoick then exited the home, nodding to the two dragons and Hiccup in greetings before he said, "Let's get you to the skies son."

Hiccup nodded and hopped onto Toothless, making sure the bag holding the necklace was secure. "You'll be following us after we take off dad?" He asked.

Stoick nodded. "We want you three to start ahead of us but we will be right behind you."

"Anthia will be staying behind as well just to watch over the female dragons here." Maaran said getting ready to take off as well.

Hiccup looked at his dad. "I'll see you on the horizon then."

Stoick nodded and stood back. The two furies with Hiccup then took off into the air and soon the village disappeared behind them as they entered the clouds.

Toothless looked ahead and tried his best to focus on the mission but his thoughts kept drifting onto Azora and the situation she is in. "I hope Azora will hang on." He said.

"How do we even start having her recover her mind if it is indeed lost Maaran?" Hiccup asked after a long time of silence.

Maaran looked at the two flying beside him and sighed. "This is actually new territory for me. I've heard of the females in this situation losing themselves forevermore due to the broken mind but I've never heard of a female recovering. We can only hope we get to that place before she is truly lost." He looked towards the direction that his daughter was in. "I don't want to lose my daughter in such a manner."

Toothless and Hiccup looked at Maaran and realized how tired he looked. "Did you get any rest before starting this rescue?" Hiccup asked.

"A couple hours at most. I've gone longer though and this is nothing compared to the other times."

"Alright." Hiccup sighed. "By the way Toothless, what made you bring the necklace?"

Toothless debated internally for a bit before saying, "If she is lost, then maybe something made from love will find her again."

Hiccup chuckled. "It may just do it bud."

Toothless hoped that Hiccup was right. He didn't know what he would do if he lost Azora to her own mind. 'Hang on Azora,' he thought. 'I'm coming for you.'

Hours later, Azora woke feeling her mind becoming even more hazy and a sharp pain was erupting from the base of her skull. She focused hard to determine what memories were hazy and the memories cleared to reveal more of her time with her papa and the first capture she endured. She shuddered in revulsion at how her body felt after her acting, she then got up, getting as far in the corner of the room that she could, and promptly threw up everything in her stomach before wandering away from the spot.

She'd blame it on an upset stomach as she was supposed to not know about her pregnancy. She knew she would never be able to get over how she was acting but in order for her to survive, she hoped by pretending her mind broke that they would let her out of the room long enough for her to survey the surroundings so she could escape their clutches until rescue arrived.

She thought about how Toothless will react to her acting this way. Would he hate her? Be repulsed because she basically asked for this? What would her papa do to her? Would he disown her? Would he even be able to look at her? Would either of them even bother with her?

She was pulled out of her questioning mind when the sound of the door opened and she quickly put up her blank face mask. She looked at the doorway and saw the king standing there without Alarka for once. "How are you doing Avia?" He asked.

Azora put up her monotone voice as she answered, "I seem to have gotten ill but I do not know why." She gestured to the spot she threw up at. "I would like free of the room as the smell is getting overwhelming."

The king looked at the spot that was indicated and inwardly cringed at the mess. "Very well." He walked forward and unhooked the chain keeping it in his hand as he walked to the door. "Follow me." He pulled once at the chain making her slightly wobble but she kept balance and slowly followed after him as he walked out of the room.

Azora kept her face blank but her eyes roamed, taking in every nook and cranny, every hall and room, every guard and servant, and every tapestry and trinket hung on the wall. She made sure to just make her looks as if she was simply admiring the hallways and rooms when in actuality she was planning her ways to escape. Right now she would continue her act of not knowing anything to gain some trust until the proper moment.

The king led her to a room that she assumed to be his and soon hooked her chain to an anchor system that was near the desk. "Don't even try to escape Avia." He said scowling.

Azora looked at him for only a second before looking away. "Nothing to escape to. Not like I remember." She said.

The king straightened up as he considered her response. "Alarka!" He called never taking his eyes off of Azora as the male fury came out of his room.

"Yes my king?"

"Watch your little female here." He said turning and heading out of the room. "Her room needs a thorough clean due to sickness." He then left.

Alarka looked at Azora as she sat by the desk like a statue. She knew what he wanted as his arousal was apparent in the air. "I do not feel like doing anything you are thinking of right now." She informed him.

"And why not my Aabinus Abha?" He purred coming closer to her.

She literally felt like ripping open his throat in that moment but kept up her facade as she said, "Unless you want me to puke all over you instead of the floor I suggest that you back off." Her warning met only a low growl and her stomach churned in disgust. As he crept closer, her instincts took over and before she could stop herself, her claws swiped at him, catching him directly on the left eye making him roar in complete anger, backing away from her. Azora suddenly leaned over and threw up once more making the room smell of the stench.

Alarka stopped his furious growling as soon as the sound of sickness reached his ears. He turned and saw the bile on the floor. He growled in irritation and went to the anchor system, releasing the chain and grabbed it with his teeth. "Come on." He growled.

She felt the pull of the chain and followed him as he led her to the side room he first came out of and pinned the chain to his door in the crevice as he shut it behind him. The chain was long enough for her to reach the bed and for her to lay down but as she did, Alarka growled lowly making Azora glance at him with that blank expression. "I did warn you." She said looking away.

Alarka roared. "You do not attack your mate!"

Azora felt fury inside her chest boiling but she kept up her blank appearance. "It was instinct. I doubt even you can control them." She said.

Alarka glared at the female before him and pounced on top of her, digging his claws into her neck and head as he leaned down to whisper in her ear, "I controlled mine long ago, and you will as well unless you want those eggs you carry to suffer once they are laid."

Azora stiffened in horror but pretended to be confused, "Eggs?"

Alarka smirked, now was his chance to turn her to their side. "The eggs of the dragon that took you. That fury took the pleasure of putting his offspring into your womb when he found you alone while I hunted. He took our first chance at a family and destroyed your virtue before the mating season."

Azora almost wanted to chuckle at the stupid story he came up with but only said, "And did you kill him?"

Alarka growled possessively. "No. He got away before I could slice his innards into shreds." His arousal soon came back in full force and he purred gently. "But I took you here, to forever be protected from this male. I own you."

Azora prepared herself for what was coming and succumbed to darkness as soon as Alarka started to sensually lick her.
