Later as Alexis is driving she soon stops upon seeing Judy go into an ice cream shop before looking at her phone.

"Getting some ice cream little sister? Well it is lunch time. Guess ice cream is better than nothing for a quick snack." Alexis says as she goes inside and sees a fox with a fennec fox at the counter.

"Okay come on kid. Back up. Listen buddy. What? There aren't any fox ice cream joints in your part of town?" The elephant behind the counter asks as Alexis walks over to Judy.

"What the..? Hey Judy what's going on here?" Alexis asks.

"This guy is just getting his kid some ice cream." Judy says as she and Alexis continue to watch the scene.

"Uh no. No. There are. There are. It's just my boy. This goofy little stinker. He loves all things elephant. He wants to be one when he grows up. Is that adorable?" The fox says as the little fox puts on an elephant masks and makes a trumpet sound.

"Aww..." Judy says as she and Alexis smile.

"So cute." Alexis says.

"Who the heck am I to crush his little dreams huh? Right?" The fox says as he looks at the little fox.

"Look you probably can't read fox but the sign says we reserve the right to refuse service to anyone so beat it!" An elephant says as others in the line start to get angry.

"Hello? Excuse me?" Judy says as she goes over.

"Hey you're gonna have to wait your turn like everyone else meter maid." An elephant says.

"Actually I'm an officer." Judy says as she shows her badge.

"We both are." Alexis says as she shows her badge.

"Just had a quick question. Are your customers aware they're getting snot and mucus with their cookies and cream?" Judy asks as a couple customers spit out their ice cream.

"And I don't know about your customers but I find that quite disgusting and unsanitary." Alexis says in disgust.

"What are you talking about?" An elephant asks.

"Well I don't wanna cause you any trouble but I believe scooping ice cream with an ungloved trunk is a class-three health code violation. Which is kind of a big deal. Of course I can let you off with a warning if you glove those trunks and I don't know finish selling this nice dad and his son a... What was it?" Judy asks as she looks at the fox.

"A jumbo pop. Please." The fox says as he smiles.

"A jumbo pop." Judy says.

"Fifteen dollars." The elephant says as he sighs in annoyance before the fox goes to reach into his pocket only for Alexis to gently grab his wrist.

"Here sir. On me. I would also like an ice cream sandwich please." Alexis says as she gets out a twenty dollar bill.

"Seventeen dollars." The elephant says as Alexis lays the money on the counter.

"Officers I can't thank you enough. So kind. Really. Can I pay you back?" Nick asks as he is walking outside with Alexis, Judy, and his kid.

"Oh no. No worries. Besides I was hungry myself little guy for some ice cream. You just enjoy that jumbo pop. No need to pay me back." Alexis says as she smiles at the little fox.

"It just.. You know it burns me up to see folks with such backward attitudes toward foxes. I just wanna say that you're a great dad and just a... A real articulate fella." Judy says as she smiles at Nick.

"In short you're a good person and a very good dad to this cute little fella." Alexis says as she smiles softly at Nick.

"Well that is high praise. It's rare that I find someone so non-patronizing. Officer..." Nick says.

"Hopps and Hathaway." Judy says proudly.

"Mr..." Alexis says.

"Wilde. Nick Wilde." Nick says as he smiles at Alexis.

"Well Nick Wilde it was wonderful getting to meet you and this cute little one." Alexis says as she gently pets the young fox on his head.

"You too miss Hathaway and miss Hopps." Nick says.

"And you little guy. You want to be an elephant when you grow up? You be an elephant. Because this is Zootopia. Anyone can be anything." Judy says as she places a police sticker on the young fox.

"Ah boy. I tell him that all the time. Alright here you go. Two paws. Yeah. Oh look at that smil. That's a happy birthday smile! All right. Give her a little bye-bye toot-toot! Bye now!" Nick says as he gives his kid the jumbo pop before leaving with him.

"Goodbye!" Judy and Alexis shout in union.

"That was a very good thing you did in there Judy. You're doing great already. Anyway I gotta get back to patrol. I'll see you later at home." Alexis says as she walks off.

As Alexis is about to take out hers and Judy's dinner from the oven she hears Judy come through the door.

"Judy did will be ready soon. Hope your in the mood for ratatouille. Judy?" Alexis asks as she goes to the living room and sees Judy laying on the couch.

"Not very hungry Alexis." Judy says grumpily.

"Uh Judy? You okay?" Alexis asks worriedly.

"Yeah. I'm just not very hungry at the moment." Judy says as Alexis looks at her.

"Well I'm gonna go put dinner up in a container. I'll be back in a moment." Alexis says as she leaves and puts up their dinner before coming back to see Judy talking on a video call with their parents.

"Wait a second... Holy cripes Bonnie! Look at that!" Stu says as he sees what Judy is wearing.

"Oh my sweet heaven! Judy are you a meter maid?" Bonnie asks.

"Oh this? No! Oh no. No this is just a temporary thing!" Judy says.

"Oh! It's the safest job on the force!" Bonnie shouts happily.

"She's not a real cop! Our prayers have been answered!" Stu shouts happily as he and Bonnie cheer about Judy's job.

"Dad. Dad! Dad! You know what? It's been a really long day. I should really..." Judy says.

"That's right! You get some rest!" Bonnie says.

"Those meters aren't gonna maid themselves!" Stu shouts.

"Bye-bye!" Bonnie say as she ends the call.

"Buh-bye..." Judy says as Alexis looks at her before going over and sitting beside her.

"You wanna talk about it?" Alexis asks curiously.

"Talk? Talk about what?" Judy asks as Alexis looks unconvinced.

"Judy.. I may be a predator but that doesn't mean I can not tell when my own sister is upset about something. Did something happen after I left?" Alexis asks.

"No.. No. Nothing happened." Judy says.

"Uh-huh. That's what you're gonna go with?" Alexis asks before Judy sniffs the air.

"Yes. Oh that really smells good. Can we eat now?" Judy asks before quickly going into the kitchen.

"Oh sure. Change the subject on me." Alexis says in annoyance before heading for the kitchen.
