The next day as Alexis is at the station she is attempting to stop Mrs. Otterton as she is running after her.
"Mrs. Otterton please wait! You can't just-" Alexis then stops herself as Mrs. Otterton goes into the office where Chief Bogo and Judy are.
"Chief Bogo please! Five minutes of your time please!" Mrs. Otterton says desperately.
"I'm sorry sir. i couldn't get her to stop." Alexis says as she notices Judy.
"Ma'am as I've told you we're doing everything we can." Chief Bogo says.
"My husband has been missing for ten days. His name is Emmitt Otterton." Mrs. Otterton says as gives Chief Bogo a picture.
"Yes I know." Chief Bogo says.
"Uh Judy why are you in his office?" Alexis asks as she looks at Judy.
"Long story." Judy says as she and Alexis listen to the conversation.
"Please! There's gotta be somebody to find my Emmitt." Mrs. Otterton says desperately.
"Mrs. Otterton-" Chief Bogo then gets cut off by Judy.
"I will find him." Judy say as the others look at her.
"Oh thank you! Bless you! Bless you little bunny! Oh! Heh. Take this. Find my Emmitt. Bring him home to me and my babies please." Mrs. Otterton says as she hugs Judy and gives her a picture.
"Ahem! Officer Hathaway take Mrs. Otterton and please wait out here." Chief Bogo says as he gestures outside the room.
"Yes sir." Alexis says.
"Of course. Oh thank you all so much." Mrs. Otterton says as she leaves with Alexis.
"So what's going on?" Alexis asks as Judy comes outside the office.
"Let's just say you and me are taking this case... And also if we fail we're both fired." Judy says as Alexis gives a worried expression.
"What!?" Alexis asks in alarm.

"Here you go! One missing otter!" Clawhouser says as he gives Judy the missing case file before she opens it.
"That's it?!" Alexis asks in alarm.
"Yikes! That is the smallest case file I've ever seen. Leads. None. Witnesses. None and you're not in the computer system yet. So resources. None! Oh I hope you didn't stake your careers on cracking this one!" Clawhouser says as Alexis looks at Judy annoyed at the mention of their careers.
"Okay. Last known sighting. Can I just borrow... Thank you. Pawpsicle..." Judy says as she uses Clawhouser's soda bottle as a magnifying glass.
"The murder weapon..." Clawhouser says.
"Get your pawpsicle..." Judy says as Alexis looks at her curiously.
"Yeah, 'cause that... what does that mean?" Clawhouser asks as Alexis nods in agreement.
"It means... We have a lead." Judy says as she runs off with Alexis behind her.
"We do?" Alexis asks as she looks at Judy.
"I'll explain on the way." Judy says.
