A/N: Hello. :) Sorry I'm late, but I've managed to get this chapter ready for all to read for fans of "The Loud House". Oh, and we'll also be seeing Clyde's sister, Addison, who is voiced by Kelly Hu, who voiced both Stacey in "Phineas and Ferb" and Karai in "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" (2012). Enjoy.

Chapter 2: Left in the Dark

"Do you believe in ghosts? Join me, Hunter Spector, spectre hunter, leader of the Academy of Really Good Ghost Hunters, or ARGGH! As I descend into the scariest place in any home, the basement! Sunday night at 8 PM! Don't miss it, or you'll be left in the dark! ARGGH!", Spectre spoke in a commercial before it showed Lincoln marking the calendar with a circle.

"It's finally here! The live season finale of the greatest show ever!", Lincoln shouted before he and his sisters, Liberty and Liberet, looked at the viewers.

"All right, I know you're probably saying to yourself 'Lincoln, with thirteen sisters, there's almost no way you're going to get to watch your favorite show.' And, you'd be right. Every Sunday at 8, it's the same thing.", Lincoln spoke before it cut to a flashback of his other ten sisters fighting over the remote before the flashback ended.

"But tonight, we have a plan.", Liberty finished before breaking out her walkie talkie.

"Cadets Lincoln, Liberty, and Liberet calling Cadet Clyde and Cadet Addison, do you read me?", Liberty asked.

"This is Cadet Clyde, I read you loud and clear!", Clyde spoke.

"This is Cadet Addison, also reading you loud and clear.", Addison, a girl with glasses and a white short-sleeved shirt with a grey skirt and grey slip-on shoes, spoke.

"I'm so excited! We finally get to watch 'ARGGH' together. And by together, I mean you at your house, and us at ours, right?", Clyde asked.

"For such a landmark event, we decided that it'd be best for us if we watched it separately. Clyde's got a huge crush on my sister Lori. It gets awkward.", Liberet warned before it showed Clyde looking dreamily at a drawing of Lori in his room.

"Hubba hubba.", Clyde spoke before Lincoln spoke up.

"Clyde? Clyde? Do you read us?", Lincoln asked.

"He's a bit busy at the moment, but you guys better hurry, Lincoln. It's almost 8:00!", Addison urged.

"You know what time it is, Linc?", Liberty asked.

"Yep. It's time to put Operation Distract My Sisters So That We Can Get to the TV First and Watch the Special Live Season Finale of ARGGH and Think of Shorter Name For This Operation into action.", Lincoln responded before Lola and Lana came out of their rooms excitedly.

"Cartoons! Cartoons! Cartoons! Cartoons!", Lola and Lana chanted.

"Did someone say tea party?", Lincoln asked, revealing a tea pot and a box of cookies.

"Eeeee! Thank you, Lincoln!", Lola shouted excitedly before she took the items and went back to her room before Lana stood and glared at Lincoln, displeased.

"Hey, I don't want to be part of some dumb old tea party, I want to watch TV!", Lana demanded.

"Not even if these guys are invited?", Liberty asked as she held, with her gloves on in hand, out two frogs, one of which croaked.

"Eeeee! Thanks, Lincoln!", Lana shouted excitedly before taking the frogs and going back to her room just as Liberet noticed Luan.

"Hey, Luan.", Liberet greeted.

"I was just heading downstairs to watch TV.", Luan spoke.

"How about something better instead? Recording with your video camera, because the twins are at it again.", Liberet spoke, gesturing to Lola and Lana fighting.

"You can't come! V.I.P. only!". Lola argued.

"This is totally gonna go viral! Thanks, Liberet!", Luan shouted as she went back to her room to get her video camera.

"Ow. Ow!", Lola exclaimed before Lisa, Lily, and Leopoldo came out of their room.

"Hey, Lisa. I saved you a trip downstairs and got that stuff you needed.", Lincoln assured as he even held Lily back with his foot while Liberet held Leopold.

"The lactose, triticum protein, sodium chloride crystals, sucrose, and gallus gallus ovum?", Lisa asked.

"Uh, you mean milk, flour, salt, sugar and eggs?", Lincoln asked as he held out said ingredients

"You say tomato, I say solanum lycopersicum. Thank you.", Lisa responded as she took the ingredients and went back into her room only for Lynn to come out of the room.

"Yeah! Two minutes to game time! Whoo!", Lynn cheered.

"Hey, Lynn, check it out.", Liberty spoke, holding out a football that started floating.

"I filled it up with helium for the extreme player who demands more.", Liberty grinned.

"I demand more!", Lynn spoke just as Leni approached.

"Then, go long!", Liberty shouted before she blowed her whistle while tossing the ball to Lynn, who then struggled to get the ball.

"Get over here, you!", Lynn exclaimed.

"Oh my gosh, Leni!", Liberet shouted.

"What, is there a spider on me? Get it off! Get it off! Get it off! Get it off!", Leni shouted as she frantically rubbed her hair.

"No. Look at what just came in the mail for you!", Liberet shouted while getting out a sort of fashion magazine.

"AAAAAAH! My world is whole again!", Leni shouted excitedly.

"Hey, bro! TV tonight is gonna be rockin'! Yeah!", Luna shouted as she strummed her guitar.

"Or, you can have your very own flashlight rock show in your bedroom.", Lincoln suggested as he held out a colorful flashlight and Luna took it.

"That is sweet! Thanks, Linc!", Luna thanked before going back into her room.

"Has anyone seen my phone? I need to live-tweet my show!", Lori shouted before Lincoln takes out the phone and pressed buttons on it.

"Hey, Lori! Hey, Lori, I found your phone!", Lincoln shouted in assurance.

"Give me that!", Lori shouted before snatching back her phone.

"How many times do I have to tell you to keep your hands of my stuff?", Lori scolded as Lincoln counted down from 3 just before her phone rang.

"Hello? Oh, hi, Bobby. No, I didn't text you to call me, but I'm glad you did!", Lori grinned before she scolded Lincoln again.

"Thanks for nothing, twerp!", Lori spoke.

Then, Lincoln saw Lily sleeping, laid her in the laundry basket and kissed her.

"And that makes 10. Logan and Laney should be waiting.", Lincoln spoke as he slid down the stairs and jumped to the floor while Liberty and Liberet followed before they caught up with Logan and Laney.

"Like I said, I might not be the fastest, and I might not be the strongest, but to get most of my sisters out of the way, it pays to have a plan.", Lincoln spoke.

"Yeah, but there's just one problem...", Logan spoke.

"What's that, Logan?", Lincoln asked before Lucy suddenly popped up as an organ pipe played on cue.

"You forgot me.", Lucy spoke before Lincoln, Logan, Laney, Liberty, and Liberet all exclaimed and fell to the ground from being startled.

"Lucy! I always forget about Lucy!", Lincoln realized.

"Yeah. That's a common mistake.", Laney responded.

"Story of my life.", Lucy spoke.

"What are you doing here?", Liberet asked.

"It's the season premiere of my favorite show, 'Vampires of Melancholia'.", Lucy responded.

"Whaa?! This is the episode of ARGGH that everyone is going to be talking about at school tomorrow!", Liberty shouted in response.

"Please let me watch it? Pretty please with a black cherry on top?", Liberet added.

Lucy: "I'm sorry, Liberet, but you guys know the rule. I was here ffffiiiiirrrrrrsssssttt.", Lucy only responded.

"NOOOOOO!", Lincoln shouted before looking at the remote remote and licking it.

"Ha!", Lincoln smirked, disgusting both Laney and Logan whole shocking Liberty and Liberet.

"Not cool, Linc... Not cool!", Logan gagged.

"What?", Lincoln asked.

"That's the old remote that Lily threw into the toilet.", Lucy spoke as she held up another remote before Lincoln gagged as well.

"Okay. That was a mistake.", Lincoln gagged before rubbing his tongue and spitting out the germs.

"Sorry, Lincoln, I can't miss my vampires. Edwin is so cold and tormented and mysterious. Sigh. If only he wasn't from another century.", Lucy spoke, giving Lincoln an idea.

"Another century!", Lincoln spoke before then giving a slight smirk his way toward Lucy.

"That's okay, Lucy. You watch your show on the big color TV. I'll just go watch my show on Dad's crummy, old, black-and-white TV.", Lincoln spoke.

"Black and white are my favorite colors.", Lucy stated.

"Uh..., yeah, it'll make watching our show a little bit more... spooky!", Logan added.

"Spooky is also my favorite color.", Lucy added.

"What? That's not even a color, but okay...", Laney commented.

"Well, enjoy your vampires.", Lincoln spoke before Lucy spoke up to Lincoln and his 4 siblings.

"Wait! I'll take the old TV!", Lucy decided.

Then, at Lucy's room, Lincoln grunted while trying to get the TV to the other side of the bed.

"How can only two colors be so heavy?", Lincoln grunted in inquiry before he put it on the bed.

"Here you are. Now to plug it in. So, you can be happy or sad or whatever that emotion is. And I won't be left in the dark.", Lincoln spoke.

"But Lincoln, how would we know if it even works?", Liberet asked.

"Only one way to find out.", Lincoln responded before he plugged in the TV only for the Power in the house to go out.

"Dang it.", Lincoln spoke.

As a result, many of the Loud kids murmured in confusion about the seemingly sudden power outage.

"All right! All right! Everybody just calm down!", Lori urged.

"Guys! I can't see anything! I think I've gone blind!", Leni shouted in fright.

"No, you didn't go blind. What the heck happened?", Lori asked.

"We were just plugging in the old TV for Lucy and it must've made the lights go out.", Lincoln responded.

"Of course, it was your fault, Lincoln.", Lori scolded before the rest of the other sisters complained about what their brother did.

"What? All I did was plug in some dumb old TV!", Lincoln responded.

"Yeah. How were we supposed to know that it'd cause that kind of power outage?", Logan agreed.

"Hey! I know why the lights went out! Cause they liked each other!", Luan jokes before laughing as her siblings only sighed in frustration.

"Get it? Get it?", Luan asked.

"Nobody cares, Luan!", Logan responded.

"That one was so good, it deserves a cookie.", Lisa spoke up, handing her said cookie.

"Oh, thanks.", Luan thanked before eating it.

"So, anyway, what did one light bulb say to the other?", Luan asked as she suddenly started glowing, making the rest of the siblings gasp.

"You're glowing.", Lincoln spoke.

"Oh. I already told you that one?", Luan asked.

"No, dude. You are glowing.", Luna responded before Luan noticed that she is, in fact, glowing.

"Hey, wow!", Luan spoke in amazement.

"Everyone back away from Luan.", Lori instructed before the siblings stepped back.

"No argument here.", Liberty agreed.

"Lisa, Mom and Dad said you're not allowed to use your siblings as experimental guinea pigs anymore!", Lori reminded.

"Yeah! Not after what you did to me!", Leni added before it showed a flashback of Leni and Lisa with Leni experiencing side effects from Lisa's experiment with the former's face extremely swollen and covered in blemish like substances.

"My face feels funny.", Leni spoke before it then flashed back to the present.

"Classic. All I did was infuse the bioluminescent DNA of the Aequorea victoria jellyfish into a cookie. I call them Gloweos. Besides, now we can see.", Lisa assured.

"Okay. Everyone huddle around Luan.", Lori spoke before the siblings then did as Lori said.

"I always knew I was the light of your life.", Luan spoke before giggling as the rest of her siblings sighed.

"Okay. So, how about we get that power back on?", Laney suggested.

"Hey, when Mom and Dad are out, I'm in charge. So first, we need to get a head count to make sure we're all here.", Lori suggested before Lincoln then did a head count.

"One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve, thirteen, fourteen, fifteen, and me, that's 16. Yep, that's all of us. We are all here and accounted for.", Lincoln assured before Lucy popped up again.

"You forgot me.", Lucy spoke before Lincoln screamed and fell to the ground.

"Can I go flip the circuit breaker and get the lights back on before Lucy gives me a heart attack?", Lincoln asked.

"Again, in charge. I'll do it. Where's this circuit breaker thingy?", Lori asked.

"In the basement.", Lincoln replies before the kids then arrived at the basement with Lori's silhouette peering over the basement's darkness.

"Why am I the one who has to do this?", Lori said.

"Because you're in charge!", the siblings shouted angrily in reply.

"All right, all right! Come on, Luan. Light the way.", Lori spoke.

"That's the brightest idea you've had all day!", Luan joked before giggling as Lori pulled her from their siblings only for Luan's glow to fade away afterwards, making the rest of the siblings gasp.

"Oooh. I thought I was staying in tonight, but I guess I'm going out!", Luan jokes with a giggle, making the rest of her siblings sigh once again.

"Lisa, give her another one of those cookies. We won't tell.", Lori urged as Lisa drew on her clipboard.

"Negative. That was the only one. Prototype.", Lisa responded.

"Just great...", Lori sighed before hearing a wooden creak and gasping in fear.

"There's something in the basement! I'm not going down there!", Lori spoke frightfully.

"Ooh! You're scared of the dark!", Lynn taunted.

"I am not! You're the one who's scared.", Lori retorted.

"I'm not afraid of anything.", Lynn responded.

"Boo.", Lucy spoke, scaring Lynn before most of the girls started arguing while the Twins began trembling with fright.

"THERE'S A GHOST IN THE BASEMENT!", the Twins shouted before sobbing.

"Guys! We're running out of time! It's really important that I...I...I...fix this.", Lincoln sighed in realization.

"OKAY, QUIET!", Lincoln shouted, making the girls stop.

"Come here, you two. It's okay. There's nothing to be afraid of.", Lincoln assured as he then hugged the twins to comfort them.

"Your big brother will protect you.", Lincoln assured.

"And we'll help, too.", Logan added.

"In fact...", Laney began before she, Liberet, abd Liberty shouted in unison.

"We will protect all of you!", the girls shouted.

"Yes. For I am Cadet Lincoln!", Lincoln spoke.

"Cadet Logan!", Logan added.

"Cadet Laney!", Laney added.

"Cadet Liberty!", Liberty added.

"Cadet Liberet!", Liberet added.

"Highly trained students of the Academy of Really Good Ghost Hunters! Or...ARGGH!", the 5 siblings shouted in unison before they put on night vision goggles with Lincoln and Liberet busting out their walkie-talkies.

"Cadet Clyde, this is Cadet Lincoln. Forget the plan. Liberet and I going to need backup.", Lincoln spoke before Clyde and Addison then entered the room.

"Cadet Clyde, reporting for duty.", Clyde spoke.

"Cadet Addison, also reporting for duty!", Addison added before Clyde noticed Lori and started to get aroused.

"L-L-L-Lori?", Clyde asked before he started acting like a robot almost immediately.

"RED ALERT. RED ALERT. DOES NOT COMPUTE. CIRCUIT OVERLOAD. MUST ABORT MISSION.", Clyde spoke as he then left.

"I told you it gets awkward.", Lincoln spoke.

"Well, that's to be expected. But look at the bright side. At least I'm still here.", Addison assured.

Then, Lincoln, Logan, Laney, Liberty, and Liberet prepared to enter the basement.

"Are you sure you guys can handle this?", Addison asked.

"Hey, if any ghost tries any funny business, I'll just suck 'em up faster than he can wail.", Liberty smirked, getting out a sort of mini vacuum.

"We will now descend into the scariest place in the house: the basement. But fear not, with my official ARGGH! branded night vision goggles, we can see in the dark.", Lincoln spoke as he began to head down only to slip down the stairs and lose his walkie-talkie.

"Oooh! That one's gotta hurt.", Addison spoke.

"You're telling me?", Logan asked.

"Lincoln, are you okay?", Lori asked.

"The bad news is, our goggles are just a toy, and do not really see in the dark! The good news is, they cushioned my face from the hard basement floor!", Lincoln grunted in response.

"Hey! I think my video camera has a night vision setting.", Luan spoke as she held her video camera before Lincoln rushed back up and took it.

"Sweet! It's just like the cameras they use on ARGGH! I'm going in.", Lincoln spoke.

"Wait! You're not leaving us up here all alone, are you? I mean, we couldn't possibly let you go down there all alone. We should all go down together. As a group.", Lori suggested as she grinned pleadingly.

"Very well. I'll lead the way.", Lincoln spoke before he led the way down to the basement with Luan's camera as his guide.

"You may want to stay close. There's no telling what could be lurking down here in the dark.", Lincoln warned.

"There's nothing funny about this situation. Although, I do like dark humor.", Luan joked.

"Is someone touching my hand?", Leni asked nervously.

"You're touching your own hand.", Lynn responded.

"I hate basements.", Lori commented.

"So do we, but you don't see us being scared like that, do you?", Liberty asked before an eerie sound came nearby.

"What's that moaning?!", Lori gasped before the girls all gasped and Lincoln turned to the source.

"Don't freak out. It's just the pipe settling.", Lincoln assured before another scary sound sounded.

"What's that scratching?!", Leni exclaimed before the girls gasped again and Logan checked.

"Don't be scared. It's just Cliff the Cat.", Logan assured as Cliff was using his scratching post and meowing.

"What is that smell?!", Lynn exclaimed before the girls gasped again with Lincoln seeing something familiar.

"That's just Lily with a full diaper that time.", Laney stated as he saw Luna holding Lily and understandably grossed out by her baby sister.

"Poo-poo!", Lily giggled.

"You guys really need to get more nose plugs!", Addison suggested.

"Well, at least Leopold's diaper isn't full.", Liberet assured.

"See, guys? I told you. There's nothing to be afraid of.", Lincoln assured before another ominous noise sounded, alerting Lincoln and his siblings.

"What is it?!", Lori asked.

"Lincoln...LINCOLN...", the voice spoke.

"IT'S A GHOST AND IT KNOWS MY NAME!", Lincoln shouted, terrified, before he screamed as his brothers and girls all started running around and every one of them except Lucy was screaming.

"I'LL SAVE YOU, SISTERS!", Lincoln assured bravely before charging at the ghost just as the lights came back on.

The ghost turned out to be a laundry basket with the walkie talkie on top before Lincoln attacked it, puzzling Logan, Laney.

"Hi-yah! Take that, evil spirit!", Lincoln shouted just as it turned out Lori found their circuit breaker and turned the lights back on herself.

"Cool it, Lincoln. It's not a ghost. It's just our laundry.", Lori assured before Lincoln emerged from the laundry and sheepishly grinned.

"Lincoln! Lincoln! Do you read me?", Clyde asked before Lincoln picked up.

"Clyde?", Lincoln asked.

"I was just calling to say sorry for not being such a good ARGGH! cadet. And is your sister ready to date younger men?", Clyde asked.

"Never gonna happen!", Addison and Lori shouted in unison.

"Was that your sister?! RED ALERT. RED ALERT. OVERLOAD. OVERLOAD.", Clyde spoke as Lincoln then had one of those "The things I have to put up with" looks on his face.

"Guys! I still can't see!", Leni shouted.

"Open your eyes.", Lisa suggested before Leni then opened her eyes.

"IT'S A MIRACLE!", Leni spoke in relief.

"First one to the TV is couch commando.", Lori spoke.

"I can still get there first!", Lincoln spoke before he hurried to the couch so he can be the first one and races and passed all of his sisters with Logan, Laney, Liberty, and Liberet following him before he managed to get there first, grabbed the remote, and turned on the TV only to find out that his show is now over after all he's been through with his brothers and sisters.

"WOW! That was by far the best episode of ARGGH! ever! I'd hate to be you if you missed it!", Hunter spoke in TV.

"Aw, what?!", Logan exclaimed.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I can't believe I missed my show...", Lincoln lamented as he started to break into tears and his sisters all saw how miserable he is and felt pretty bad for him before Lori handed him some popcorn.

"Sorry you missed your show, Lincoln.", Lori apologized.

"But you guys just lived it. Check it out.", Luan assured as she plugged her camera into the TV and showed him what he filmed.

"Hey. We really did, live it, didn't we?", Logan grinned in realization.

"Now, this is entertainment I could get behind.", Liberty grinned.

"Well, I have the episode recorded back home anyway. I'll get to it after this one.", Addison spoke before they all watched and enjoyed their little adventure on film and Lincoln, Logan, Laney, Liberty, and Liberet are more than happy to have actually lived the show instead of just watching it.

"You know, I've been meaning to ask you, Logan. How come you guys wanted to watch it with me?", Lincoln asked.

"Duh. Hunter Spectre.", Logan spoke.

"Goggles for me.", Laney added.

"Ghost hunting equipment.", Liberty added.

"Hard evidence.", Liberet added.

"Whoa. Okay. You know, I may have missed my show. But sometimes, it's not about being there first. Sometimes, It's about being there together. All of us.", Lincoln grinned before Lucy suddenly popped up again.

"You forgot me.", Lucy spoke before the siblings screamed due to being startled by her sudden appearance as an organ pipe played.

A/N: So, what'd you think? Pretty good so far, huh? Well, if you have any changes you'd want to see in this or more chapters for this story, feel free to speak up and I'd be more than happy to fix them if and when I have the time. For now, I gotta get some rest. Good night for now. :)
