"Ladies and gentle-mammals fourteen mammals went missing and all fourteen have been found by our newest recruit who will speak to you in a moment." Chief Bogo says as he is speaking at the podium in front of the crowd.
"Ohh I'm so nervous." Judy says as she is standing with Alexis and Nick away from the crowd.
"Okay. Press conference 101. You wanna look smart? Answer their question with your own question and then answer that question. Like this. Excuse me Officer Hopps uh what can you tell us about the case? Well was this a tough case? Yes, yes it was. You see?" Nick asks as he tries to calm Judy down.
"You should be up there with me. You both should. We did this together." Judy says as she looks at Alexis and Nick.
"Well am I a cop? No. No I am not." Nick says as he smiles.
"Hm. Funny you should say that. Because well I've been thinking... it would be nice to have a partner. Here. In case you need something to write with." Judy says as he hands Nick an application and the carrot pen.
"Besides Judy this whole case was started because of you. You deserve this." Alexis says proudly.
"Officer Hopps! It's time." Bellwether says.
"They appear to be in good health. Physically if not emotionally. So now I'll turn things over to the officer who cracked the case Officer Judy Hopps." Chief Bogo says as Judy goes up to the podium and begins answering questions before she is being asked about the predators acting like savages.
"Yes. What I mean is thousands of years ago uh predators survived through their... aggressive hunting instincts. For whatever reason they seem to be reverting back to their primitive savage ways." Judy says as Alexis looks at her in surprise.
"What?.. Nick.. are you okay?" Alexis asks as she sees Nick give an angry look.
"Okay thank you Officer Hopps. Uh that's all the time we have. No more questions." Bellwether says as he pulls Judy to the side before leaving as Alexis and Nick go over.
"Oh that went so fast. I didn't get a chance to mention you or say anything about how we-" Judy then gets cut off by Nick.
"Oh I think you said plenty." Nick says angrily.
"What do you mean?" Judy asks in surprise.
"Clearly there's a biological component? These predators may be... reverting back to their primitive savage ways? Are you serious?" Nick asks.
"I just stated the facts of the case. I mean it's not like a bunny could go savage." Judy asks as she shrugs.
"Right. But a fox could huh? Or even a wolf?" Nick asks.
"Nick stop it! You're not like them. Neither is Alexis." Judy says in surprise.
"Them?" Alexis asks in disbelieve.
"Ugh. You know what I mean. You're not those kinds of predators." Judy says.
"Those kinds of predators? Judy do you even hear yourself?" Alexis asks in shock.
"The kind that needs to be muzzled? The kind that makes you think you need to carry around fox repellent? Yeah don't think I didn't notice that little item the first time we met. So l-let me ask you a question. Are you afraid of me? Do you think I might go nuts? Do you think I might go savage? Do you think I might try to... eat you? I knew it. Just when I thought somebody actually believed in me huh? Probably best if you don't have a predator as a partner." Nick says as he hands Judy the application and walks off.
"Nick wait!" Alexis says as Nick continues to walk.
"Alexis I-" Judy then gets cut off by Alexis.
"No Judy.. just.. I can't be near you right now.. I'll see you at home." Alexis says coldly.
"Alexis.." Judy says sadly.
"Nick wait. Please!" Alexis shouts as she runs outside and sees Nick.
"Alexis please just leave me alone." Nick says harshly as Alexis gives a hurt look.
"Nick please.. I had no idea Judy was going to say that. I'm just as shocked and disgusted at her behavior as you. Please don't leave." Alexis says pleadingly.
"Why not? She doesn't trust me. Why should you?" Nick asks coldly.
"Because I'm a predator myself. I can't believe Judy said that and I don't want around her right now. But please I don't wanna see you leave. I trust you. I don't think you would do such a thing. I know you're past wasn't good. Mine wasn't either. There's a reason.. that Judy and I are so close.. Many treated me very similar to you. I'm really hurt by what she said but I don't wanna watch my only other friend leave.. Please.." Alexis says sadly.
"You know for what's worth I really did enjoy meeting you. I wish we could of seen each other more.. but I think it would be best if you went home or something. I don't wanna see you deal with all this in Zootopia. Please just take care Alexis." Nick says as he walks off before Alexis begins crying slightly before walking off.
