Chapter 10

Haley has been back living with Nathan and Angel a couple of weeks now, she was more mobile now and was walking around unaided so she decided to go to Tric and give Amanda some help she was so bored sitting at home all day.

"Hi Hales" Amanda said as Haley walked through the door.

"Hi Mandy, how's things going" Haley asked as she sat down.

"Things are going good how's you and Nathan" Amanda asked being noisy wanting to know if they were back together yet.

"Things are fine, so who are you working with" Haley asked trying to change the subject.

"Oh no you don't missy so are you together now or you still don't know" Amanda asked as she sat next to Haley on the couch.

"It's the same as yesterday I know I need to come right out and ask him but I can't, we kiss a lot and I think we're together I just don't know" Haley sighed it was so strange even though they've been married all these years they'd been apart just as long so what were they now she was so confused.

"Oh Hales you need to talk to him he's a man he probably doesn't even realise" Amanda said as she hugged her best friend.

"Thanks Mandy I'll talk to him when I get home he said he'll pick me up from Karen's on the way back from coaching the Ravens" Haley said.

Nathan couldn't wait to get home he'd had an awful day his star player broke his wrist and he was falling behind in his mortgage repayments he couldn't tell Haley even though Lucas suggested he should he didn't want to seem like a failure it was hard being a single parent all these years but he'd always managed he just needed to cut back on some things and he'll be fine.

"Hi Dad" Angel said as she sat down in his office.

"Hi princess, what brings you to my office" Nathan asked wondering what was going on his daughter never missed class.

"I was just wondering if I could go to Spain for six weeks during summer as I'm in the advanced class for Spanish some pupils have been selected and I'm one of them Miss Lopez said I need your permission so I thought I'd ask" Angel asked hoping she could go she knew she was young but she would be supervised.

"Ok I'll discuss thing with your mom later and we'll decide together, he knew the trip was going to be expensive and he didn't really have the money right now but he'd do anything for his daughter if she really wants to go he'll find a way.

"Thanks Dad we'll I better get back to class" Angel said as she left his office she didn't want to get in trouble not that she would teachers loved her.

After leaving Tric Haley went to Karen's to have something to eat before Nathan arrived to take her home. Haley had really missed Karen's cooking all these years things were awkward at first between them but now it was like Haley had never left.

"Guess who" Perry asked as he came up behind Haley.

"No way" Haley gasped as she turned around "what are you doing here" she smiled as she hugged one of her closest friends.

"I'm gonna be in town for a few weeks and thought I'd come see you, Mandy told me where you'd be" Perry said as he hugged her.

Nathan couldn't believe what he was seeing his wife in the arms of another man he didn't know how to react so he drove home he was so angry what the hell who was this guy and why did he have his hands on his wife. Things were going so well with Haley none of this made any sense. Nathan knew he was supposed to meet Haley but he couldn't what if she was still with that guy he knew he couldn't take seeing that again.

Haley was starting to wonder where Nathan was he should have been here by now none of this was making any sense and he wasn't answering his phone she was starting to get worried.

"Am I that boring Hales" Perry asked she's been ignoring him for the last ten minutes and kept constantly checking her phone.

"Oh no sorry, I just really need to get home, would you mind giving me a lift" Haley asked she needed to get home she was to worried about Nathan.

"That's fine Hales come on let's go" Perry said as he helped her up.

Nathan could believe when Haley got out of the ass holes car what killed him the most was she kissed him goodbye what the hell was going on none of this was making any sense.

"Hi Nate what happened" Haley asked as she saw Nathan pacing up and down the hall.

"What happened, oh I don't know so who's your boyfriend" Nathan asked he's never felt like this before and he didn't like it.

"Boyfriend what are you talking about Nathan" Haley asked she was so confused.

"I saw you together so you can cut the crap, why Haley" Nathan asked he was hurting so bad and couldn't believe it.

"What are you talking about, Nathan stop being silly this is not funny" Haley said none of this was making any sense something must have happened.

"The guy you with at Karen's the ass hole who just kissed you goodbye" Nathan yelled as Haley broke out in to laughter.

Haley couldn't even speak she was laughing so hard her ribs started hurting.

"What's so fucking funny, is that your boyfriend from LA, are you gonna leave me for him" Nathan asked he didn't find this the least bit funny.

"Nathan stop" Haley laughed even harder she never found something so funny in her whole life.

"What is so fucking funny" Nathan stormed this was starting to piss him off.

"Nathan I promise you nothing is going on with Perry and it never well" Haley said as she tried to stop laughing.

"So the ass hole has a name does he know you're married or doesn't he care, putting his hands on my wife" Nathan fumed god he hated the guy.

"You really don't know who he is, Nathan listen to me I'm not his type" Haley said as he cut her off.

"Not his type you're the hottest thing on the planet he'd have to be blind not to find you attractive and he had his hands all over you at Karen's" Nathan said cutting her off.

"So you want him to find me attractive" Haley asked as she started laughing again.

"Hell no you're mine I don't like sharing my girl, I don't want him putting his hands on you" Nathan sighed he really didn't like any of this.

"I can't believe you're jealous of Perry he's one of the biggest artists in the world, I thought everyone knew" Haley laughed it was so ludicrous.

"Knew what" Nathan asked.

"He's gay, has been the whole time I've known him" Haley said as Nathan scooped her up in his arms.

"Don't scare me like that, I thought I was going to lose you, you should have just told me he was gay" Nathan said relieved as he held her never wanting to let go.

"I can't believe you're jealous of Perry, I've never found something so funny" Haley started laughing again.

"Hardy ha ha Hales" Nathan said as he watched his wife laughing at him he had to admit it was pretty funny now he knew the truth.

"Hi Dad, mom what's so funny" Angel asked as she came in the house and saw her mom laughing.

"I saw Perry Michaels today, he came and saw me and your dad thought we were having an affair" Haley said as she burst out laughing again.

"Really dad, you really don't know anything wait till I tell everyone" Angel said as she burst out laughing.

"I'm never gonna live this down am I" Nathan said as he sat down.

"Nope" Haley smiled as she kissed him on the cheek.

"I'm just going to go upstairs and get changed, I'll be down for dinner later" Angel said as she made her way upstairs.

"Nathan I know we haven't spoken about us since I've been back, but what are we now" Haley asked Amanda was right she needed to ask him.

"What do you mean Hales" Nathan asked wondering what she was talking about.

"Are we together, as in a couple" Haley mumbled this was so hard.

"You're my wife, I know we haven't been together for so long but you're the only girl I'll ever want even when you were gone there was no one else you're it for me Hales and you always will be" Nathan said as he held her.

"I love you Nathan and there's never been anyone else for me either I gave you my heart and I never want it back" Haley said as she kissed him she felt so relieved she finally had her husband back and she'd never felt so happy.
