"Come on, wake up!" Blister was standing next to the couch, leaning over Yusei who was sleeping. The black-haired duelist had an arm over his stomach and the other behind his head. Blister looked around at the space, a red duel runner was in the middle of the room. Tools and pieces from the runner were on the dinner table, it was clear that the sleeping duelist had been working on the red runner probably for most of the night. Which is fine with him but when someone starts to sleep into early noon, it gets too much for him. Yusei groaned, running his hands over his face before sitting up.

"What time is it?"

"Noon, you dumb ass, were you up all night again?" Blister held out a mug filled with black coffee to the duelist, who gladly took it.

"Yeah, sorry, I just don't know what is wrong with the runner."

"You know, I know someone who might be able to help." Yusei hummed while taking a sip of the coffee.

"And she kinda owns me a favor. If you want, I could give her a call." Blister stretched the back of his head, before sipping the coffee.

"Is she any good?"

"Yeah, she works only with Motorbikes and Duel runners. She gets clients by phone call, and is kinda popular in our kind of world."

"Your 'world'?"

"The underground, if you aren't able to pay with cash then you pay with favors. And once in a while, she gets a high-end client."

"Let's try to call her." Blister had already pulled out his phone, dialing a number while taking a glance at the blue-haired duelist from the corner of his eye.

"Already on it, hey V, been awhile. About that favor, you own me…. Alright alright, I got that. No need to get angry, sure you aren't. Listen, I have a friend that could use your help. He has a duel runner, yea yes. Sure, see you in a bit. Fine, I'll buy dinner and make coffee for ya. I will pay in favors, I don't have that much cash at the moment. Okay bye, V. she will be here in fifteen minutes." Yusei hummed in agreement, trying to clean up his tools on the dinner table.

"Hey Blister! Open the freaking door, do you think that I want to be out in the rain!" Yusei looked up from his laptop, hearing the sightly rough female voice. Blister sighed as he walked over to the door, turning the door handle as he opened the door. Yusei shifted his weight in his seat when he noticed the lavender strands of hair and pale skin.

"God, where do you keep your towels?"

"In the bathroom, the second cabinet on your right, V."

"Thanks, Don't touch my tools. Blitz" The woman immediately went to the bathroom, leaving her gym bag on the ground near the dinner table.

"So where is the runner?" The lavender-haired woman rubbed a clean towel on her head with one hand, looking through her gym bag with the other one. Blister blinked, realizing that she hadn't even noticed Yusei. Well, that's kinda normal for V, she is a bit of a mechanic freak, especially when it comes to Runners and Motorbikes.

"Right here." She hummed before looking up, holding one of her tools. She froze when she finally noticed Yusei, the tool slipped from her hand in her shock and surprise. Blister shook his head before turning to go to the kitchen, not wanting to deal with whatever is going to happen between the pair. But he did realize that they know each other, Yusei started at her, just taking in the sight of her. He hadn't seen her in over two years, she still looks like herself. Her long lavender hair was longer, now it reached down to her thighs. She wore a black tank top, overalls tied tightly around her hips. Dark gray sneakers on her feet, she has thrown her jacket on the back of a chair, showing off her black inked dragon tattoo. The tattoo started at her shoulder and wrapped around her arm down to her wrist, Violet inhaled a shaky breath. God, he hadn't changed at all in the past years, though her eyes narrowed when she noticed the jagged yellow criminal mark on the left side of his face. Violet stepped over to him, lifting her hand, hesitating before pressing her fingers to the mark. She lightly traced the yellow line for a moment before pressing her hand to his cheek, her eyes softened as she saw Yusei leaning into her hand. The raven-haired Duelist lifted his own hand and rested it over Violet's hand, he closed his eyes.

"I have missed you, Violet." Violet's eyes glazed over as they watered as she continued to stare at Yusei, she shallowed a bump that had gathered in her throat.

"I never thought that I would see you again." Yusei opened his eyes, wiping a stray tear away from under her eye before wrapping his arms around her.

"You have been taking good care of your Runner, Yusei. She's a real beauty."

"Thanks." Yusei watched as Violet was laying on a skateboard under his Duel Runner, she was looking up at the mechanics. For the past hour, Violet had been looking over the Runner, checking it. Before she started to work on the Runner, she wanted to check the Runner to see how it's built and how it works. Violet had pilled her hair up into a messy bun, before laying on the skateboard.

"She's built from the ground, right. You built this Runner?"

"Yeah, with the help of my friends in the Satellite."

"Good, you weren't alone then."

"No, but you weren't there. What happened after...-"

"After Jecklas bought me to Domino City, well since it was decided that he should be the only one who came here. I was arrested and got marked before they let me go. After that, I tried to make my way here but with a criminal mark… let's just say that it wasn't easy but short after, I met Blitz and fixed one of his friend's Bike. And it kinda just took off, I got more clients and was able to build my small shop. I could make a living because of it. But it's not easy, with a mark like ours, people here treat us like trash like they're better than us."

"I'm sorry, Violet."

"For what? You didn't do anything, sure it was hard but I grew stronger and learned so much from it."

"But I wasn't there for-" Violet pushed herself out from under the Runner, tilting her head to stare up at Yusei while she reached over and blindly grabbed one of her tools. A few seconds passed before she grabbed hold of the right tool, she had taken the usual tools out of her bag and placed them on the ground next to her.

"Stop, Yusei. Yeah, you weren't here for me but they needed you in the Satellite more than I did." Disappearing under the Runner again while grumbling, Yusei snorted before taking a sip from his new brewed coffee. Blister had gone out earlier, leaving Yusei and Violet to themselves.

"Oh, I think I know what the problem is- got it!" Violet threw a piece of bark to the side, Yusei stepped over and took it up.

"Bark?"

"You sound surprised, it's actually a pretty common issue. Another moment-" Yusei moved over to the table and leaned against the edge, resting his hands beside his thighs. He could hear some grumbling from Violet as she swore under her breath, metal on metal clicked against each other.

Violet sighed as she rolled out from under the Runner, and sat up, resting her elbows on her bent knees.

"You take really good care of your Runner, there isn't anything else wrong with her."

"Thanks, Violet." The lavender-haired mechanic snorted, moving to put her tools back in her gym bag. Yusei stood beside her, still leaning against the table, watching her as she placed the tools into the bag.

"No problem." Violet pulled out the hair tie, letting her slightly wavy hair fall before she pulled the locks over her shoulder. She quickly waved her fingers through the hair, braiding the thick strands, and wrapped the hairband around the end of the braid.

"Violet-" She turned while humming, before noticing Yusei fidgeting with his hands.

"Do you anything planned for today?" Violet smiled as she leaned against the table with her hip while crossing her arms. Yusei looked a bit nervous as he stared at his childhood friend, he shifted his weight.

"Relax, Yus. I don't, it can wait until tomorrow. Do you have anything in mind?"

"Remember the thing, we used to do when we wanted some peace?"

"Off-course I do, I still do it once in a while. But it's raining."

"Does a little rain scare you, Violet~" Violet's jaw dropped at the slight jab, Yusei's eyes shined with amusement and mischief?

"No, you ass." The pale lavender-haired mechanic growled at the tall Duelist, Yusei laughed, dodging as she tried to smack his arm.

"Stop trying to run away!" Yusei darted around the room with Violet chasing him, she jumped when they neared the couch. It caused them to fall down the couch, Yusei immediately placed a hand on her back. She half laid on top of the Duelist, their legs dangling off the edge of the couch. Violet lifted herself up on her elbows, staring down at Yusei for a second before pushing herself of him.

"Where are we, Violet." The pair was standing on a fire escape of an abandoned factory, Violet was leaning against Yusei who leaned against the brick wall of the building. His arms were wrapped around her shoulders and neck loosely, they were half sheltered from the rain. Violet was smiling as her eyes were locked in the rain, Yusei pressed his chin to her temple.

"At an old factory in one of Domino's run-down areas. Most homeless and those with a mark stays in these parts."

"Why?"

"Because here they don't get judged or hated, just because they have a mark or is broke."

"I never knew or realized that Domino had parts like this."

"Most don't but we don't need the wealthy and rich to tell us that we are trash or doesn't matter, because we already know that."

"Is there anything being done about it?"

"Like the cops would do anything to help us, to them, we're just some low-life that should get lost already."

"Jack could-"

"No, No! Like I would ever ask that Jecklas for anything! He wouldn't dare to help some low-life!" Violet tore herself out from Yusei's embrace, turning to face her childhood friend with watery eyes. The tall Duelist watched the lavender-haired mechanic with sorrow-filled eyes, her own flashed in anger and hurt as she stared at him.

"Violet-"

"Just listen, Yusei-" Seeing him nod, she continued as she wrapped her arms around her stomach.

"He took me from my home, family, and friends, he took me from you! And then he just threw me away, I got this mark because he just left me! For two years, I never heard anything from him, he never called or try to visit me! I went and tried to just get him to talk to me, I just wanted to know why he took me with him to Domino City and then went up and bailed!"

"I'm sorry, Violet." Yusei reached out and pulled her back into his embrace, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and rested his chin on top of her head.

"For what? you didn't do anything." Violet chuckled, hearing Yusei snorted as she lightly wrapped her arms around his waist. God, she has missed this, missed him. It has so long since she had been in Yusei's embrace, she had almost forgotten how it calms and relaxes her. She could remember how whenever she got upset, sad, or hurt, Yusei would hug her and just hold her tightly until she calmed down. To finally have Yusei with her again, brings her so much joy and happiness.

"Come in, Yus, the furniture won't bite." Violet laughed as she threw her jacket onto the back of a chair, she had pulled her shoes off by the door. Yusei and the female mechanic looked like a pair of drowned rats before they went to Violet's flat. She had thrown a playful insult at the tall Duelist, which ended in Yusei running after Violet. During the playful chase, it had started to rain more heavily which made the lavender-haired mechanic laugh whole heartily when Yusei grabbed her. His arms wrapped around her stomach, Yusei pressed his nose to her shoulder.

Violet threw a towel at the black-haired Duelist, it landed on his face and on top of his head. It caused the female mechanic to chuckled under her breath, Yusei pulled the towel down while he turned towards Violet. He stared at her for a moment before turning to look around her place, it was a small one-bedroom flat. The bed was pushed against the furthest corner of the living room, a small dining table was near the bed with one wooden chair. The bathroom was next to the kitchenette which Violet was standing, she was rumbling through one of the cabins. A teapot was on the stove, Yusei walked over and placed his hands on either side of Violet. The mechanic placed two mugs on the countertop before turning around, she lifted a hand and rested it on his cheek. A smile tugged on her lips as she watched when Yusei leaned into her touch, she pressed her forehead against his, closing her eyes.

"Tea or coffee."

"Coffee." Yusei huffed at the thought of drinking tea, Violet laughed as she turned back to the counter. She pushed herself up to grab the instant coffee, the pot started to whistler. Yusei reached over and pulled it off the stove, while the mechanic put two or three spoonfuls of coffee into each mug. Violet grabbed the handle of the pot and poured the hot water into the mugs, taking her mug with her as she moved over to the bed. The Duelist grabbed his mug with him, following after her. They sat down beside each other, Violet tugged her feet under her. Yusei turned to the mechanic, as Violet half turned towards him.

"No, you didn't!?" Violet laughed with a nod, Yusei snorted before taking another sip of the coffee.

"Yeah, I did. The guy refused to pay, so I gratified his Runner!"

"Violet!"

"What? In the end, he decided to take my offer and paid in favors as he didn't have any money to spare. And that's kinda how it started with some clients paying in favors."

"It sounds like you made a good life for yourself."

"Yeah, I tried my best to live with what I had. But now you are here, it will be better." Violet rested her head on Yusei's shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her closer.

"I sure hope so, Violet." A phone started to ring, Violet groaned before she pushed herself to her feet. Placing the mug on the table as she went over to the chair, reaching into the pocket of the jacket, and pulled out her phone. She answered the call right before she held it up to her ear, Violet rested her free hand on her hip. She went over to the counter and leaning against the edge, Yusei placed his mug on the table.

"Hey, you are speaking with V-Auto shop, how can I help?"

"Well, I'm busy today but- just a moment." Violet went over to her bag and opened it, pulling out a calendar.

"Can I ask, who is the client?" Violet placed the calendar on the counter, flipping through it. Before she stopped for a second, her expression turned from calm to furious. Yusei immediately stood up and went over to her, rubbing his hands on her arms.

"No, I told you, that I won't work on his Runner-"

"Hey! Do I sound like I care about the amount of money, if he wants me to work on his Runner then he can come and ask me himself."

"Than he can stop being an ass hat and find me!" Violet ended the call, immediately she turned around and wrapped her arms around Yusei's waist. The Duelist sighed as he bought her closer while resting his arms around her shoulders, he ran his fingers through her long pale lavender hair.

"Who was it?"

"Jecklas' manager, she wants me to work on his Runner before the Fortune Cups and she has been trying to get me to do it for the last two weeks. I keep telling her that if Jecklas want me to work on his Runner then he can ask me himself, and every time, she tells me that he is busy." Yusei pulled back and stared at his childhood friend, running his hands down to her hands.

"I just wish that he would talk to me, instead of hiding behind a freaking manager. I'm angry with him but I just can't forget the past, I share with you and him. I only want a chance to talk with him."

"Hey, you don't have to explain yourself to me. I get it, Violet." The female mechanic lifted her head and stared into his dark blue eyes, wearing a small smile.

"Thank you, Yus."

"For what now?"

"For just being here, for being you." Yusei smiled down at her, squeezing her hands.

Blister blinked as he stared at Violet and Yusei, who was sitting on the floor next to each other. Violet's motorbike was parked in the garage, some of her tools were on the ground around the pair. Yusei was scowling as the female mechanic tried to explain something to the tall Duelist, a second, Violet blindly smacked Yusei's hand away as it looked like he tried to touch something. It was clear that the two had been at it for some time now, Blister shook his head as he passed the pair who were now kinda bickering with each other.

"Hey, children. Chinese or Indian?" The brunet called out as he pulled out his phone, holding two menus in his free hand.

"Chinese, Blitz!" Violet called out as she laid down on the skateboard, and pushed herself under the motorbike. Yusei laughed, turning to Blister.

"Chinese sounds fine." The two males heard metal cricking on the concrete floor and some swearing followed right after, Yusei turned back to his childhood friend, with a concerned expression.

"Viol-"

"I'm fine! Shut up!" Violet growled at him, which caused him to furrowed his brow. He nudged her leg, the mechanic mumbled a 'please' Blister snorted. Violet is so whipped about Yusei. That's so clear, Blister in the two years, he has known Violet. Yusei is the only guy, she allows that close to her. He stole a gaze at the pair, Yusei was sitting an inch from the female mechanic, his hand rested on Violet's knee. And what amazed him, was that Violet haven't already thrown a wrench or ratchet at him like she normally does when she's uncomfortable or angry.

"Hey Blitz, you know that favor you own. Forget about it." Blister immediately turned around and stared at the mechanic in shock as his jaw dropped. Yusei snickered, turning his face to the side, wearing a smug grin.

"What! Why!?" Violet rolled out, wearing a scowl as she turned to the tall brunet.

"Because of you ass. If you haven't called, I probably wouldn't have known that Yusei was here in Domino City. And you're buying Chinese." The pale lavender-haired girl grabbed the bottom of the engine of her bike and pulled her back under.

"So thanks, Blitz."

"You're welcome, I guess."

Violet laid beside Yusei, the two were laying on the pull-out couch. It was nearly three in the morning before they agreed to stop working on her bike, and went to bed. Well, they are in bed, just not sleeping yet. Violet laughed as she rolled over, crossing her arms over Yusei's chest as she rested her chin on top of her arms. Yusei smiled at the female Mechanic, his hands rested on the low of her back. The two childhood friends have been talking for the last hour or so, Yusei had been telling Violet about when he got sick because he stayed out in the rain, looking for parts for his Runner.

"That's so like you, Yus. You need to start to take more care of yourself."

"I don't need to, now you're here."

"What, so now I'm your babysitter?" Violet laughed, shaking her head, amused.

"I hope not, that would be weird." The female mechanic huffed as she lifted herself up on her elbows, Yusei tangled a hand through her loose hair.

"Weird is that so. Yusei~" Yusei rolled them over, glancing down at her, smirking slightly. Violet huffed as she reached up and lightly tugged on his hair, before resting her hand on his neck.

"Yes, it would be."

"Oh really?"

"Yea, Violet. It would be weird if you were my babysitter." Yusei started laughing loudly, as Violet made a nasty grimace of the thought.

"Yeah, you're right. It would be weird." Yusei continued to laugh, Violet pushed him off her as she sat up. Yusei fell to the side, his arm rested over Violet's stomach. The pale lavender-haired girl glared playfully at her childhood friend, as she rested her weight on her elbows.

"So now, you're laughing." She poked the black-haired Duelist in his chest a few times before he managed to smack her hand away. Which caused Violet to gasp mockingly before she kept poking him where her hands could reach. She moved, swinging her leg over his lap, Yusei grabbed her hips holding her place. Violet smirked, staring down at him under half-open eyes. Yusei smirked slyly with a playful glint in his eyes, Violet's eyes widened as he rolled them over again. Violet's legs were tangled with his, Yusei snorted at the shocked expression on his childhood friend. The light turned on, which caused the two childhood friends to look over at the door where Blister was standing with his arms crossed.

"Look, I get that you are catching up but it's almost four in the morning. So go to sleep! Please! Someone has work in the morning!" Violet laughed, giving her friend an apologetic expression.

"Sorry, Blitz. Goodnight." Blister turned and disappeared, closing the door behind him. Yusei and Violet turned to look at each other, the tall Duelist sighed as he fell down on his side. Violet popped herself up on her elbow, turning to stare at Yusei.

"Let's get some rest, Yus." He reached out and pulled her close, the move caused the female mechanic to lay on top of Yusei's chest. She crossed her arms, glancing at him from under her lashes while wearing a soft smile. Yusei returned the smile with a small of his own, he rested a hand on her shoulder-blade.

So welcome to 'The Crimson Heart'

I hope that you have enjoyed this first chapter.

So Yusei had another childhood friend outside of the boys (Crow, Jack, and Kalin.) Violet Elric, we got a little inside to their friendship and what they have been like as children. And it seems like Violet doesn't like Jack so much, but it might change or not. (Who knows) the things that I have planned for the signers and Violet, I can't wait :)

Anyway, take care and stay safe :)

The next story, I will update; is either 'it's the little moments' or 'Rainbow'
